Chapter 46 - Start of summer

"It's weird knowing we won't come back here next year, isn't it?" Lyra said as she sat next to me on the train ride to London. The boys were sitting across from us, talking about some of their exams, I didn't feel like discussing it myself.

"Yeah, and a whole new life is waiting for us on the other side of that wall. When will you start training?"

"Next week, the first few months will alternate to see what suits me the most. I'm nervous but I can't wait." She grinned broadly.

"And you will do great. I'm going to miss you." We looked at each other before falling into each other's arms.

"I'll miss you too. You've been my best friend for seven years, we never been apart more than two months." She wiped her tears away when she pulled back. "When do you leave?"

"We'll be staying at Cedric's until the wedding. When Bash and Charlie leave for their honeymoon, Ced and I will go help out in Romania until they are back."

"And after?"

"We're planning everything out now, but it won't be before September, so maybe we'll stay in Romania 'till then. So, if you have time this summer, we can definitely meet up."

"It will be hectic, but I'll find the time, I promise." She clasped her hands over mine.

"We can meet up just us two and the guys can come join us later." I smiled as we leaned against each other. There was a rapid knock on the door, but before any of us can open it the door slid open. "Lee." I squealed and jumped up. Lee who was smiling held out his arms and wrapped me up in a tight hug.

"Hi, love." He kissed the top of my head before smiling to the others, while I was still tucked under his arm. "Puffs." He greeted them with a grin. "Can I steal Jenny for a bit?"

I slapped Lee's chest with a fake scowl. "I can decide for myself, you know." I turned under his arm and pulled him out of the carriage. I heard the others chuckle until the door closed behind us. "Are you coming to the wedding." I asked as I wrapped an arm around his waist.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world." He grinned. "Speaking of the wedding... Ready to see George?"

"It won't be easy, but I'll be happy to see him again."

"I know he'll be happy to see you, even if you are with Cedric." Lee said, and I stopped in my tracks and looked up to him.

"What?"

"You think I haven't noticed?" He chuckled. "I know you since we were six, I know you, Jenny."

"When did you found out?" I asked as we both leaned against the window.

"A little over a week ago, in class. It wasn't really noticeable but for someone who knows you like I do..." He grinned with a shrug. "I'm happy for you, Jenny." He nudged me gently.

"You're not mad?"

"Mad? Why would I be mad?"

"Because George is your best friend." I looked down at my feet.

"So are you. I just want you to be happy. Be it with George, Cedric or even Malfoy." I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Alright, maybe not Malfoy." He grinned. "Are you happy?"

"I am." I smiled softly. "Can you keep this to yourself? We're keeping it quiet for now and I want to tell George myself."

"My lips are sealed." He said as he did the movement over his lips. "I'm going to miss you." He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me close.

"I'll miss you too."

We stood there for about ten minutes before we parted ways, me going back to my friends and Lee going back to the Gryffindor filled carriage. When I came back Lyra had taken Cedric's place next to Odin both had fallen asleep. Odin's head rested against the window while Lyra was tucked in his side. Cedric stood up when I opened the door and put his finger on his lips and gestured me out the carriage. After he closed the door, he intertwined his fingers with mine and pulled me through the train.

"Where are we going?" I asked chuckling. His lopsided grin made my heart skip a beat and he winked at me before pulling me into a little cupboard. The cupboard was dark and small. So small that my chest was pushed against his. "Hey." I smiled up at him in the dim light.

"Hi." His gorgeous smile in place. His hand came up to cup my cheek. "Couldn't wait any longer." He said before he placed a firm and passionate kiss on my lips. A million butterflies burst out in my stomach from that kiss. His hands went around my waist pulling me even closer. My hands went up in his hair, pulling him down.

"Why is this cupboard so small?" I groaned in frustration. I bit my lip as I looked up at him with his mess of hair. "I want to tear all of this off you." My hands slid up under his shirt, my nails digging slightly in his flesh, making him shiver. His grip on my waist tightened as he leaned down to kiss my neck.

"Gods, I wanted to do that to you for so long."

I chuckled as he nuzzled my neck. And I pushed him away from me, I came face to face with his pout. "Let's just wait until we're home. Are your parents there?"

"Yeah, they're planning a big dinner for us. So, we'll have to wait a little longer." His smile broad.

"Then you need to keep your hands to yourself." I snickered.

"Who says I can't do that?"

"You just pulled me in here just to snog me." I pointed out with a large grin.

"Good point." He kissed my forehead. "But you're just so hard to resist, you know."

"You had to resist for years; you can handle a few hours."

"That's just it, now that I had taste of it, it's way harder to resist it." He purred in my ear.

I gave him a chaste kiss on the lips and grinned. "Too bad." And walked out of the cupboard laughing. Cedric caught up to me quickly and twirled me around once his arms were around me.

Once we said goodbye to everyone, Cedric and I locked arms and apparated to his home. The moment we landed in the hallway our noses were filled with the smell of freshly made dinner. Soft music was playing in the house. Cedric and I put our trunks on the floor, and we walked to the living room. The sight that came before us was sweet and endearing. Olive and Amos were slow dancing on the music. Olive's head rested on her husband's shoulder as they swayed. Cedric smiled at his parents before he offered his hand to me. I accept it with a smile, and he twirled me to the middle of the room. His hands went to my hips, while my hands curled around his neck. I look up at him, his eyes full of love were on me. We swayed softly on the music next to his parents, both in our own bubble. Cedric leaned his head against mine.

"I love you."

"I love you." I answered before I leaned on my toes and kissed him. We heard his parents gasp next to us and we pulled away with a smile.

"Finally!" Amos barked out a laugh and clapped his hand on Ced's back. Olive just looked with loving eyes at the both of us.

"Amos, help me with dinner." She smiled at her husband. "Let the kids get their stuff upstairs."

"Huh, what?" He looked away from Cedric and to his wife with a confused look. "Right, right." It dawned on him when Olive gave him a look. "Let's finish dinner." He nodded and they walked out of the room.

"They can't grasp the idea of subtly, can they?" I chuckled.

"No, they can't. But at least I have you all to myself now." He smiled before he kissed me again. "Let's get our things up."

"Do you think they let us sleep in the same room?" I asked once we climbed the stairs.

"We're off age, and you know they aren't that traditional. They probably know you slept in my bed at Hogwarts the past weeks." He said as we entered the bedroom, and he placed the trunks on the foot of the bed. "The question is… where do you want to sleep?" His eyes flickered between the two beds.

"I think you'll just have to wait and see." I grinned devilishly. "I need food first." I clicked my tongue and scurried out the room. I heard Cedric chuckle behind me as he followed me back downstairs.

During diner Olive and Amos didn't say anything about our relationship, but both wore a large smile as they glanced our way. Cedric talked about our last few weeks at school, about our exams and when we would leave for Romania. He was just talking about his Arithmancy exam when my hand went to his leg. At first, he didn't respond as he kept talking to his parents, but when my hand went higher, his speech faltered. I bit back a grin as I jumped in on the conversation about my own exams before either of his parents would notice.

After dinner, Olive and Amos ushered us to the living room, not wanted to part just yet. Cedric sat between his parents on the couch, while I sat across from him as my feet dangled over the armrest. Every time our eyes crossed, I let my eyes darken just for the fun of it. Cedric's neck went red as he stumbled over his words. By the time his parents looked at me, I looked back to the book that was in my lap, pretending I didn't know what was going on. After a few hours, his parents finally went to bed. And from the moment the door of their bedroom closed behind them, Cedric was in front of me, his eyes dark. I looked up at him innocently through my eyelashes.

"Ready for bed?" I closed my book softly.

"No." His voice was rasp. He pulled me up from my seat and started to walk me back, until I hit the wall softly. "You're the devil." He said his lips merely inches form mine.

"I'm perfectly innocent." I said as my hand travelled to his waistband. I curled my fingers behind it and pulled him flush against me. I could feel his erection against my hip. Cedric looked like he wanted to say something but apparently, he changed his mind because the next second his lips were on mine. I moaned softly as I tugged his waistband again.

"Gwen." His voice raw, sexy and full of desire as he pulled back. I answered with my lips on his neck. Nipping and sucking as I trailed down. The grip on my waist was tight as I started to unbutton his shirt. "Gwen." He breathed again. I pulled back from his bare chest and saw his eyes flicker to the stairs. I nodded, and he grabbed my hand and we raced up the stairs. Even before we walked in our room, he had picked me up, my legs going around his waist as he carried my inside. I took my wand from my back pocket and locked the door before putting a Muffliato charm around the room. My wand fell to the floor as I started to push his shirt of his shoulders without breaking the kiss.

"Cedric." I groaned as the shirt got stuck on his arms. I felt him smirk against my lips as he walked over to the dresser and planted me on it. He shrugged off his shirt and my hands went to his belt in and instant. After a bit of pulling and pushing, Cedric was standing naked in front of me, his erection pointed at me. I saw the insecurity in his eyes when my eyes went over the scar. My hands grabbed his waist as I leaned forward trailing kisses over the long scar. While I kissed his chest, my hand took a hold of his erection and he groaned with his head falling back. He couldn't stop himself and started to undress me. A blush crept up when I saw him stare at me once my clothes lay on the ground next to his. His eyes weren't just filled with lust, but more so with love, so much love. He cupped my cheek and locked his eyes with mine.

"You're beautiful." He breathed. "I can't believe this is happening." He kissed me lightly. "I love you so much." I wanted to say the same words back to him, to show him how much he meant to me, but his lips captured mine again. Then his lips travelled south, he took a nipple between his lips as he sucked on it.

"Fuck, Ced." I groaned as my nails dug in his back. Cedric pulled away and shifted so I was lying flat on the dresser, he lowered himself until he was right in front of my centre. I groaned even louder when he licked and sucked my clit. It didn't take long for me to come loudly. Thank Helga for silencing charms. After I came down from my high, Cedric lifted me up and carried me to bed.

We spend hours that night exploring, experimenting and seeing every inch of the room. We finally fell asleep in the dead of night, both exhausted and happy, in each other's arms. The start of the summer, the start of something new.
