Chapter 53 - Wearing White

I opened the door to the bedroom and my mouth dropped open in shock. A beautiful wedding gown was hanging on the four-poster bed. It had short, laced sleeves, a shy V-neck, and the front of the dress was just above the knee, while the dress went longer in the back, until it reached the floor. My fingers grazed over the soft fabric, and I had a strange feeling I recognised the dress from somewhere. But before I had a chance to figure it out, a voice came from behind me.

"Here is the bride to be."

I whipped my head so quickly, I thought I might have sprained my neck. Bash and Charlie were leaning against the doorframe, both smiling at me. I leaped forward and wrapped my arms around the both of them. Gods, I had missed them. I haven't seen them since the sanctuary this summer. Their arms were around me within a second, I buried my face in Bash's neck.

"We missed you too, little one." Bash answered my unsaid words.

"I'm so happy you are here." I said as I pulled back with a large smile on my face.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world." Bash smiled and looked behind me. "You like the dress?"

"I love it." I looked at the dress and back to the two men in front of me.

"It was mums, but Charlie and I tweaked it a bit." He grinned and Charlie winked at me. "I know mum and dad aren't coming, but at least a part of them is here."

"I love you two so much. And just like it was with you, I only need you here."

"We love you too." Charlie pulled me in a side hug. "I can't believe you're getting married. It looks like just yesterday, when I showed you the Thestrals for the first time when you were eleven." He started to laugh. "I still remember the smell when you tripped in a fresh pile of dung." He was holding his side as he doubled over laughing.

"And now you're uninvited to my wedding." I said with hands on my hips.

"Alright." He straightened and tried to hold in his laughter. "I'm done." Then he crinkled his nose and the laughter started up again. Because of his laughter none of them heard Cedric step out of the bedroom.

"What's so funny?" He asked as he appeared behind Charlie.

"Get out!" Bash said and Charlie stopped laughing, looking surprised at his outburst. "The dress is in here, you can't see it."

"Those are muggle traditions." Cedric and I said in unison.

"So? You don't want back luck, do you?" Bash pursed his lips and looked back to Cedric. "Now get out, so we can get her ready."

"Can I at least kiss my fiancé?"

Charlie frowned. "That sounds weird." He shook his head.

"Well, it's going to be wife in a little over an hour." I grinned and poked Charlie's side.

"Yeah, no. You're like my baby sister, not someone's wife."

"And you're like my big brother, but you're still someone's husband. My brother's husband, I might add."

"Yeah, well." He retorted but stopped short. "Well - I'm older."

I looked at him. Then to Bash and Cedric before I started laughing, loudly. My tips of my hair were changing colours again. I pushed past my brothers and wrapped my arms around Cedric's neck, still laughing. He looked at me with love in his eyes and a lopsided smile before he leaned in and stopped my laughter. I sighed happily and leaned into the kiss.

"Alright, that's enough." Bash cleared his throat and pulled me back. "We'll get her ready. You get ready and see about your folks." He shooed Cedric away. Cedric winked at me before he turned to the second bedroom.

I was shaking as I looked in the mirror, I was wearing mum's altered wedding dress. My hair was in flowing ash blond locks, that reached my waist. Bash and Charlie were sitting on the bed as they gaped at me. Olive, who had arrived fifteen minutes ago, placed Cedric's pendant around my neck before placing her hands on my shoulders. She looked at me through the mirror with a smile.

"You look breath-taking. Even prettier than I've always imagined."

"You have imagined me getting married?"

"Oh, yes for years. Ever since you and Cedric became friends. And now the day is finally here. Now you'll be officially part of the family." She kissed my cheek. "I'm going to check on Cedric as I know that you're in good hands." She smiled to Bash and Charlie. She patted my shoulders once again before she walked out of the room.

Bash and Charlie both rose from the bed and walked over. They both were wearing light grey linen pants with a white linen shirt on top, perfect for a beach wedding. Charlie handed her white lace sandals, and she slipped them on her feet.

"And here I thought you couldn't look more beautiful than the day of our wedding." Bash said with tears in his eyes.

"Please." I took in a deep breath. "Don't make me cry." I waved my hand over my eyes.

"Sorry." Bash smiled. "But you aren't wearing any make-up and you can fix your eyes without blinking."

"Still." I punched his arm.

"Are you nervous?" Charlie asked as he took a hold of my hand.

"No." I answered with a smile.

"Then you're better off than me." Charlie huffed a laugh. "I'm going to see if everything is done." He leaned down and kissed my cheek.

"Thanks." I squeezed his hand before he walked out of the room. Suddenly, Bash pulled me in a tight hug, like he would never let go. "I'm not dying." I chuckled in his chest.

"I know." His head rested on the top of my head. "But you're all grown up now, you don't need me anymore."

"I will always need you, Bash. You're my big brother and I love you."

"I love you." He kissed the top of my head. There was a soft knock on the door and Charlie peeked his head in.

"Everyone is ready."

"Alright." Bash said over my head and looked down at me. "Ready to become Mrs Diggory?"

"I am." My eyes sparkled and my smile was wide. Bash mimicked my face and wrapped my arm around his.

Just behind the dunes Cedric was waiting underneath a light brown wooden pergola, decorated with white roses. Cedric was wearing a white linen suit with beige sandals. His parents were standing next to him wearing more traditional wedding robes in dark blue. Charlie was standing next to the spot I was going to stand, and an officiator was standing there in the heat in his full wizard robes, sweating already. There were no chairs in front of the pergola, since it was just them. But a white carpet ran from the dunes to Cedric, lights in the form of stars were hovering next to the aisle.

My eyes found Cedric and his eyes widened, his mouth dropped open when he saw me. My smile was so large, I think it would get stuck like that, but I didn't care. The way Cedric looked at me made my heart stammer in my chest, the way his eyes sparkled as he saw the necklace he got me around my neck. I couldn't believe I was going to spend the rest of my life with him. This young man, with brown wavy hair that I loved to run my hands through, those brown eyes that always made me melt. The kindness, the love, his funny side. He really was the package deal. It may have taken us a bit longer to get here, but here we are, and I couldn't be happier.

Bash squeezed my arm before we walked towards the pergola. I saw flashes of a camera in the corner of my eye, but my gaze was fixed on my soon-to-be husband. No one could pull of a linen suit like he did, man he looked good. Although Bash and Charlie would counter that. When we reached the end of the aisle, Bash gave me another kiss before stepping back. Cedric took my hands in his, tears forming in his eyes, just like in mine.

"Hi." I whispered breathlessly and even though I didn't know it was possible, Cedric's smile broadened even more.

"Hi." His voice just as breathless as mine.

After our first kiss as a married couple, Bash and Charlie summoned a table and a couple of chairs while Cedric's parents went to grab dinner. The officiator had gone, so only Cedric and I were standing under the pergola. He had his arms still wrapped around me as I leaned against his chest, looking up. He moved one hand and plucked a white rose from the pergola above us before he placed it behind my ear.

"How's my wife doing?"

"Brilliant, happy... hungry." I snickered as my stomach rumbled. "How's my husband doing?"

"Deliriously happy." He leaned his head against mine with a smile. "You look absolutely stunning, I think I stopped breathing for a moment when I saw you. I can't believe I can call you my wife. I love you so much."

The grip in his neck tightened and I twisted my fingers in his hair. "I love you more."

"Not possible, believe me." He gave me a lopsided grin. I breathed heavily as his eyes flickered to my lips, stood on my toes and our lips met. He picked me up and twirled me around as we kissed. I tilted my head and our kiss deepened.

"Oh, Merlin. Get a room." Bash called out. "Oh, no! Never mind!" He quickly added as he just figured out what he said. We broke the kiss because we couldn't stop our laughter.

"I can't wait to take you to our room." I whispered in his ear and was proud to feel him shiver. "And peel of those clothes one. By. One." I raked my nails up and down his back.

"Stop it." He hissed as his grip on me tightened. "Your brother is watching, and if you keep this up, I won't be able to stop myself."

"Who says I want you to stop?" I kissed his neck but pulled away, nonetheless. "Come on, the food is here." He put my down on the carpet and I dragged him by the hand towards the table.

Cedric's parents, Bash and Charlie left an hour ago. The four of them had to go back home and they wanted to give them privacy as a newlywed couple. They were slow dancing on the soft music that filled the air, Cedric stopped once in a while to twirl me around and check out my dress. His fingers played with the zipper of my dress before he started to pull it down slowly. When his fingers grazed the bare of my back, goosebumps appeared all over my body. My hands that were around his neck, lowered until they reached the buttons of his shirt. One by one I popped them open. Cedric pushed the sleeves over my shoulders and let the dress fall to the sand. Cedric with his own shirt open, revealing his toned sun kissed abs, gaped at the white lace corset I was wearing. His mouth was open, and I could feel his heart stammering under my hand.

"Do - do you like it?" I whispered.

"Do I like it?" He huffed laugh and cupped my cheek. "You're gorgeous." He smiled as he leaned down and kissed me. I pushed his shirt of his shoulders as we kissed. He laid me down softly against one of the dunes, white carpet beneath me. Cedric pulled back when he laid down and looked at me with love and desire in his eyes. I pulled him back at his waist band and felt him hard against my leg.

"You really like it." I snickered as my hand rubbed the bulge of his pants.

"You could wear a garbage back, and this would still happen." His voice an octave lower than usual and it sounded so damn sexy. I pulled him back for another kiss as I undid his trousers.
