Miraculous: Rise of the Dark Moth
Chapter 3: Dark Mills
Synopsis: When Ladybug and Cat Noir say they don't need any help from a certain friend who knows all about them, inside and out to stop Hawk Moth, they make the biggest mistake of their lives causing their friend to become akumatized to give into his dark side. Now they must save their friend who is fighting back from Hawk Moth's control and is trying to fight the other side of him.
After the Sing-Off at the Françoise Dupont High School, Ladybug and Cat Noir leap off to the rooftops of the city of Paris so they could be able to speak to P.J. in private after he had shown everyone a demonstration of my Anti-Akumatizer. I catch up with the two Miraculous heroes as I land on the roof as I jump off the Hoverboard. "Okay. I think we're farther away from everybody now." P.J. said.
Ladybug and Cat Noir turn towards me. "Okay. So, P.J., we need to..." Ladybug spoke as P.J. looked towards the two heroes. "We need to talk, buddy. How do you know the both of us?" Cat Noir asked out curiosity. "Well, curiosity kills the cat." P.J. chuckled as Cat Noir lowered his eyes at the pun. "Hey! Puns are my thing." He spoke. "Yeah well, I'm way funnier than you, Black Cat." P.J. said.
"Still, I know everything about the two of you. Your secret identities, and your constant routine of "opposites attract". Someone becomes akumatized by Hawk Moth to do his dirty work to take your Miraculous to grant a wish, but heaven forbid, the wish made mess up the balance of the world, you guys show up to stop the akumatized antagonist, Ladybug captures the akuma with her yo-yo, de-evilises it and says, "Miraculous Ladybug" to fix all the damage, but she couldn't it all by herself. You have a ton of allies like Queen Bee, Rena Rouge and Carapace. But none of you know how to take down Hawk Moth." P.J. explained how their routine works as Ladybug and Cat Noir blink of how he knows them so well.
"What's your point?" Ladybug asked folding her arms. "I know he's using Nooroo, the Butterfly kwami inside the Brooch Miraculous against his will. I even know his identity too. Also, someone close to his secret identity has been holding Duusu, the kwami of the Peacock Miraculous against her will too." P.J. said to their surprise. "What?" They asked. "How do you?" Cat Noir asked as Ladybug was impatient.
"Get to the point, please." Ladybug said. "I propose we work together. You allow me to join Team Miraculous and we can all save both Nooroo and Duusu from the hands of Hawk Moth and Mayura, okay?" P.J. asked on my offer that we work together. "So how about it? Are you hip with that?" He asked. "Hip?" Ladybug asked in confusion.
"Well milady, we always needed more help against Hawk Moth and whatever villain he throws at us. I vote we let the kid join us." Cat Noir said about his decision to have me on Team Miraculous. "Hold it, kitty. I want to hear it from her." P.J. said pointing at Ladybug. "Listen, P.J., I know you want to help but we can handle Hawk Moth and whatever villain he makes by ourselves. You'd just get in the way." Ladybug said as P.J. just stood in shock.
"What?" P.J. asked like he was brokenhearted. "What Bugaboo's trying to say is that you might be a tagalong if you got in his crosshairs. But how about you can be our eyes and ears instead and give us the akuma?" Cat Noir asked as P.J. clenched his fists and he glared at the two heroes and suspenseful music plays. Like the Super Smash Bros. Brawl remix of Airship Fortress from Super Mario Bros. 3.
"You don't want my help, do you? Big mistake denying me. I'm trying to help you bring peace to Paris, and yet you deny the help of your newest friend." P.J. said angrily as he began gritting my teeth as Ladybug and Cat Noir gestured to him to calm down. "P.J., that's not what we meant. We just don't want you to be akumatized too." Ladybug said in her defense. "You think I will be akumatized like everyone? I promised those people they won't be akumatized by Hawk Moth. I had even exposed the spy of Hawk Moth, but this is the thanks I get?" He asked with seething anger.
"Easy, P.J." Ladybug said in defense. "Yeah Bud, just try and calm down." Cat Noir said. "DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN, YOU STUPID CAT!" P.J. shouted as he turned away and turned on his Rocket Boots. "I'll take on Hawk Moth AND Mayura on my own. You guys just stay out of my way!" P.J. shouts to Ladybug and Cat Noir as he flew away. "P.J., wait!" Ladybug shouted as he flew back to my Treehouse as she watched in sadness of what she and Cat Noir had just done. They have made a new enemy, one who knows her and Cat Noir inside and out.
Scene starts to the next day, and P.J. was in his laboratory in the Treehouse with his Anti-Akumatizer as I became sad. Sad music ( /SMGA-zWyNpQ)plays as I purify the akuma and release it. Inky the Panda Bear comes to comfort him. "Master Mills, how'd it go with meeting Ladybug and Cat Noir? Uh... are you okay? " He asked.
"I got denied when I wanted to help them. I don't know who're the bigger villains; Ladybug and Cat Noir or Hawk Moth..." P.J. said to myself. "They just don't understand how much you wanna help them." Inky stated. "No matter. I have the perfect plan to take out Hawk Moth and his subordinate to see who's better." P.J. said as he turned to Inky.
"You need to hide in the lab, understand?" He asked to Inky. "What for?" Inky asked as they walk into the lab. "I don't want Hawk Moth to use you to get to me. Besides, you're only activated by my voice. Okay, buddy?" P.J. explained to his handmade kwami. "As you wish, Master." Inky said. "Project Kwami off." P.J. said as Inky was going back to lab as he closed his eyes with a sad look, feeling bad for him. Hawk Moth reverts back to Gabriel Agreste and comes to Nathalie Sancouer, his assistant.
"Mr. Agreste? What's the matter, sir? You look spooked." Natalie asked. "Someone is on to us. Someone knows who we really are as Hawk Moth and Mayura." Gabriel spoke as Natalie gasped. "You need to hide somewhere with Duusu. I'll take care of everything." He told her. "But sir, I won't leave you. We can stop whoever knows us together." Nathalie said as she was going to defend him as Adrien comes home, but silently heads to his room as he and Plagg listen to their conversation. He frowns knowing that I was right that his father IS Hawk Moth.
"You can't. Not in your current condition. Now you hide, now!" Gabriel commanded of his assistant. "Very well, sir." Natalie spoke as she held onto her Peacock Miraculous as she runs off somewhere in the mansion as Gabriel. He goes back to the observatory as he changes into Hawk Moth.
"So, this child knows who I am and wants to challenge me. And yet he knows Ladybug and Cat Noir and despises them as much as I do. I like the idea of someone new to bring into the web of evil." Hawk Moth said as an akuma flies into his hand, and he begins to corrupt it, turning it black and purple. "Fly away, my evil Akuma, and evilise this child who knows my identity." He said as the akuma flies off to my Treehouse. I hear butterfly sounds as P.J. turn my eyes to see the akuma and I evilly smile as it goes into my Anti-Akumatizer Ray. P.J. gets dark circles around his sunglasses and get a butterfly mask, indicating Hawk Moth's communication with him.
"Dark Mills, I am Hawk Moth..." Hawk Moth spoke communicating from the observatory as the light masks appear on our heads. "I know who you are, Gabriel Agreste, and I was expecting you to akumatize sooner or later." P.J. said to Hawk Moth's shock.
"No. This is not Gabriel Agreste..." Hawk Moth said in hesitation. "Sorry. Is it okay if I call you 'Hawk-Moo' then?" P.J. asked chuckling as he was pushing his buttons making him get Gigantitan flashbacks.
"No. Not Hawk-Moo either. Just Hawk Moth... I understand you want to take me on, and I understand you know Ladybug and Cat Noir so well, not like me. But I want to channel your hatred towards them instead." He spoke.
"I know this routine. You give me powers to take on those who I despise, but in return you ask for Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous for you to grant your wish to bring back someone that you..." P.J. explained as Hawk Moth was surprised that P.J. knew his whole routine. "Yes, yes, I know, but calm down. Still... you've read my mind." Hawk Moth stated. "I'll do it, but I want no powers. Not yet." P.J. said as Hawk Moth twitched.
"What's wrong? You don't want me to bestow you the power to do whatever you want?" He asked. "The point is, they'll expecting me to become akumatized. But don't worry. I have the perfect plan to make them see the error of their ways." P.J. said as he take out a powerful reality gem similar to the Phantom Ruby from a hidden compartment. Little does he know that after he's done with Ladybug and Cat Noir, Hawk Moth and Mayura will be next.
At Le Grand Paris, the luxury hotel, Chloe Bourgeois was given a talking to from her father, Ande Bourgeois, the Mayor of Paris, that she doesn't change her ways, the family will have to leave Paris.
Night came as she was in her bed, but she was sleeping and shuddering, looking like she was having a nightmare. In the nightmare, Paris was in ruins as Chloe was being chased by many akumatized villains who want revenge on her, such as Reflekta, Princess Fragrance, Dark Cupid, Evillustrater, Horrificator, Stoneheart, Vanisher, Despair Bear, Zombizou and Kung Food, causing her to fall down.
She then gasps to see Ladybug at the brink of being defeated by Hawk Moth who had given her a beating. "Chloe, help me!" She shouted weakly. "Ladybug!" Chloe shouted as she heard evil laughter behind her from an unknown figure approaching. "Hang on!" She shouted about to use the Bee Miraculous until Pollen, the kwami who was inside the comb took it away from her. "Pollen, what're you doing?!" She asked. "You brought it on yourself, Chloe. I won't help you until you apologize for getting us into this mess. Your family too " She explained. "Pollen. I'm sorry." Chloe said. "Not buying it." Pollen said as she was almost going to reach the Miraculous. "Just a little... farther." She spoke.
"GOTCHA!" The voice shouted as Chloe was grabbed by the unknown figure. "It's for your own good." He said as Chloe sees Ladybug about to be defeated by Hawk Moth. "Chloe!" She shouted as Hawk Moth looked at Chloe. "With all your friends against you and Ladybug, victory has never been so close. I owe it all to you, Chloe Bourgeois for leading my akumas to your allies." Hawk Moth to Chloe's shock.
Just as the akumatized villains were about to take her out, Ladybug shields her, but then falls down in defeat. "Ladybug?" She asked, seeing the fallen Ladybug, unconscious. "Come on, you have to be faking it..." Chloe said, as she got no response. "Oh no... No! HELP!" She shouted, but only heard echoes. "Somebody! Anybody..." She said shedding a tear as she hugged Ladybug's body. "Ladybug... I'm sorry. I'm so very sorry." She said crying.
All of a sudden, Chloe's classmates, Adrien Agreste, Alya Cesaire, Nino Lahiffe, Sabrina Raincomprix and P.J. appear, but P.J. was wearing different sunglasses. "Chloe Bourgeois... what have you done?" P.J. said to her. "Ladybug was trying to protect me, and the villains had... I didn't mean for this to happen." Chloe sobbed ruining her makeup. "Of course. Nobody means for these things to happen. But Ladybug is gone, and Cat Noir's nowhere to be found... If it weren't for you causing these villains to get you and her, she'd still be alive." P.J. said to Chloe who was in shock. My explanation was a reference to The Lion King when Scar killed Mufasa, Simba's father, and he blamed his nephew for his death.
"Chloe, how could you do this to Ladybug? To our friends?" Adrien asked, frowning at her. "Chloe Bourgeois, I had spoken with your Mayor of a Daddy, who had turned into Malediktator because of you. For aiding Hawk Moth and the loss of our dear Ladybug, you are hereby sentenced to... EXILE AWAY FROM PARIS!" P.J. shouted as my shout echoed.
"NO!" Chloe screamed in shock. "Our friendship has ended forever." Adrien said, turning away. "Paris has had enough of looking at you for one day, jerk. Everyone loves me, not!" Alya shouted. "Get out of here, Spy for Hawk Moth!" Nino shouted to Chloe. "Sabrina, you don't think I, your BFF deserve this, do you?" Chloe asked. "Does that stand for Backstabbing Friend Forever?" Sabrina scoffs. "Some best friend you are! You don't deserve any friends for using me. You don't deserve to have ANYONE for getting us to be evilised. Now get out!" Sabrina shouted to her former best friend as everyone gave her an evil glare as Chloe was now hated by everyone in this dream. Even her mother who is now Style Queen turns away. The people of Paris now throw things and attack Chloe as she runs away. In the process, she falls in a puddle of mud.
She sheds a tear as she looks in the puddle and sees her reflection as Queen Wasp and she leaves Paris. "Chloe!" A voice called from behind and Chloe gasps to see Ladybug, except her suit was black with red spots. "Ladybug? But you're..." Chloe said in shock. "Akumatized? Evilised? Correct. Except you turned me into this. Instead of taking my Miraculous, Hawk Moth gave me a chance to get revenge on you." Ladybug said as Chloe stepped back in fear as she stopped at the edge of a cliff.
"Just admit it. You're the one who did this to Paris, and me... Accept being evil. You're either with me, or against me." The evil Ladybug said as she had a dark purple akuma in her hand. "No! I won't!" Chloe shouted as she fell down the chasm, screaming.
She gasps, waking up with sweat falling down her face. "That was a terrible nightmare! Terrible! Utterly terrible!" Chloe said. "I have to show them that I TOO can be nice, that I'm not a spy for Hawk Moth. Not just to everyone, but to Adrien too. Even if I have to be nice to that baker girl, Marinette Dupain-Cheng. But how?" Chloe said as she looks at the Play-Nice Lotion I experimented on her. "Do I have a choice?" She asked as she put it on.
At the Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie, Marinette Dupain-Cheng was leaving to go to school, but she was depressed after the events of what happened with P.J. Her kwami, Tikki comes out of her change purse and speaks with her. "Marinette, what's the matter?" She asked. "I'm sorry, Tikki. I'm just a bit worried about P.J. after what happened during the campaign yesterday." She spoke. "All he wanted was to help us beat Hawk Moth, and save Nooroo and Duusu, but..."
"You turned down his help. You and Cat Noir. It wasn't your fault. He must've known the risks of him getting akumatized." Tikki recapped from the incident. "Even so, I wouldn't put it past him if he did get akumatized. He's got his own Anti-Akuma thingamajigger." Marinette said. "Anti-Akumatizer?" Tikki asked correcting Marinette. "Gesundheit. I'm sure P.J. will bounce back when he shows up in school today." She spoke.
Cue Ladybug Miraculous scene transition.
"What do you mean, P.J. didn't show up in school today?" Marinette asked to her friends with worry. They were in the school courtyard. "We're just as concerned about him as you are, BFF." Alya said. "We heard Mr. Damocles that he was sick after the election, trying to find the spy for Hawk Moth." Adrien said. "That does sound a bit strange, Adrien." Marinette spoke. "Meanwhile, Lila isn't here today." Max said to the group.
"Still, P.J. sure showed that rotten Chloe what for, making us become akumatized villains like that." Alix stated to prove the new Student Body President's point. "I know we've been friends as long as I can remember. I even tried to get Chloe to be nice, to forgive her for what she done, even on the day that Despair Bear appeared, but this is just too much." Adrien said feeling down for his first friend he made, until Marinette comforted him by placing a hand on his shoulder. "Some people just have trouble changing." Marinette said.
"We were going to celebrate after he had won, but he left with Ladybug and Cat Noir saying he wanted to help them beat Hawk Moth." Kim stated after what happened, causing Marinette and Adrien's eyes to narrow. "Well, I hope he's okay." Rose Lavillant said feeling bad for me. "No need to show any concern, Miss Lavillant." A voice was heard as everyone turns to the entrance to see P.J. with his arms crossed. "He looks okay to me." Juleka stated. "Of course. I'm fine." .
"Hey there, Student Body President." Ivan spoke as I approach. "What happened? Did you speak with Ladybug and Cat Noir on how to stop Hawk Moth?" Alya asked excitingly as she wanted to get a scoop with me for her Ladyblog. "You, Ladyblog girl, mind your own business." P.J. said as he walked away. "What's gotten into him? I only asked a simple question." Alya asked as Marinette shrugs her shoulders. "P.J.'s never acted this way before... Could he be?" Marinette said in her thoughts.
"Morning everybody." Chloe Bourgeois spoke as everyone, but Adrien start to glare at her. "What?" Chloe asked innocently. "What did you do to P.J.?" Adrien asked since she is the culprit for P.J.'s sudden change of behavior. "Adrien, please, just because I'm better than everyone doesn't really mean I'm better than everyone. I changed since yesterday when I spoke with Daddy." She spoke.
"Oh yeah? How so, BFF?" Sabrina asked folding her arms in accusation. "I plan to do some good deeds to make up for my mistakes. And who better to help me than the new Student Body President himself?" Chloe asked as I stopped and turned. "You got to be kidding me." P.J. spoke as Chloe puts her arm around him, to his annoyance. "It's true. You and I will be doing some really good deeds." Chloe said to prove her innocence as a small Chloe in a devil costume appears on her shoulder, surrounded in a protective bubble.
"By do some really good deeds, do you mean to humiliate the new Student Body President later?" Devil Chloe asked. "Me? Think that? No." Chloe said in refusal and denial that the Play-Nice Lotion was used to make her be good. "By 'no', do you mean 'yes'?" Devil Chloe asked to Chloe's annoyance as she tried to pop the bubble that Devil Chloe was in. "By 'poking my balloon', do you mean?" Devil Chloe asked as Chloe brought a pin from a pin cushion to pop the balloon. "Oh my!" That was a reference from one of the Squirrel Boy episodes.
"So, what do you say, Mr. Student Body President, shall we do some really good deeds to make up for my actions?" Chloe asked to me. "Sure, Miss Bourgeois. We'll finish them all by the end of the day before you can even say, "GUNDERSTANK HOUSE!" P.J. shouted.
P.J.'s shout had echoed all the way to his Treehouse and into the virtual reality gem in his lab, making many villains of Ladybug and Cat Noir come from their battle data come out from their chambers inside of the Treehouse's Laboratory; Lady Wi-Fi, Bubbler, Princess Fragrance, Zombizou, Timebreaker, Dark Cupid, Gamer, The Mime, Horrificator, Reflekta, Maledikator, Stoneheart, and Reverser start to come out.
"By the power vested in me, let us go and wreak havoc in Paris!" Maledikator shouts. "Yeah! Time for some revenge!" Lady Wi-Fi laughed. "Yeah, let's par-tay, babe!" Bubbler said putting the moves on Lady Wi-Fi as she sighs as they leave the Treehouse. "Game on." Gamer spoke.
After Mrs. Mendelev's class, Chloé Bourgeois and P.J. start to do some really good deeds like she said to make up for all the bad things she done to her classmates. Adrien Agreste becomes a little bit happier that she's becoming nicer and so does Marinette since Chloé is not making fun of her.
"See, everybody? I can be a nice person." Chloé said. "Good job, Chloé. Now, I hope you learned your lesson about having to be better than everyone." Adrien spoke to her. "Of course, Adriki... I mean, Adrien." Chloé said as she went off with Sabrina. "Now Sabrina, I just want to say I'm sorry about using you for my dirty work and..." She apologized to her best friend.
"Okay P.J., I need to speak with you in private." Marinette said about my sudden behavior change. "I appreciate your concern, but I'm just fine." P.J. said grumbling. "P.J., you clearly are not well. Have you been akumatized?" Adrien asked. "Absolutely not." P.J. said under his breath as he approached Alya.
"Miss Césaire, there's something you and I need to talk about." P.J. said to the one who made the Ladyblog. "What about?" Alya asked. "About how you can be trusted about Ladybug's true identity." He said to her shock. "Outside." P.J. said as they went outside of the school. "So, you know who she is too?" Alya asked.
"I don't think, I know. It's someone who had the same hair and eye color in the shade of blue. Someone clumsy." P.J. spoke to Alya's anticipation. "Before I say her name, you have to show me how trustworthy you can be. To not tell a single soul. If not, the whole world will come to an end." P.J. spoke in a dramatic fashion.
"Okay, okay! I won't tell." Alya groaned. "Okay. Ladybug is..." P.J. said as he begin to whisper in her ear. "Marinette Dupain-Cheng..."
Alya was in complete shock. "What?! You're kidding." She spoke. "No, the opposite. Now, let's test that trust of yours. Tell me who Ladybug is." P.J. said making Alya pause for a moment. "No." Alya said. "Good girl." He spoke. Then, all of a sudden, screams of the students were heard in the courtyard of the school and Alya and P.J. see a bunch of villains that Ladybug and Cat Noir had defeated are here terrorizing everyone, even though they are exactly replicas made by the virtual reality gem.
"What's going on?" Alya asked. "You tell me." A familiar voice was heard as Alya turns to see Lady Wi-Fi. "Have we met before?" She asked since they're the same person. "I don't know, maybe?" Alya shrugs before she was captured.
Mr. Damocles sees his students being attacked. He quickly goes in his office and becomes the Owl, but his akumatized double, the Dark Owl confronts him as soon as he opens the door. "Boo." He said capturing him. Marinette and Adrien hide but they see me showing an evil smile as the villains start to chase after Chloé.
Horrificator corners Mylene as Ivan goes to protect her. "You stay away from Mylene, or I'll..." Ivan spoke before seeing the same badge he gave Mylene as Stoneheart comes out. "Or what?" Stoneheart asked as he captures them as Reflekta and Princess Fragrance capture their doubles, Rose and Juleka. "Your turn, Miss Everyone Loves Me." Dark Cupid said as they approached. "What do you want with me?" Chloé asked in fear.
"For you to confess that you're the spy for Hawk Moth..." Bubbler said. "For turning us into evilised freaks." Princess Fragrance said to Chloé. Robustus starts to take Mrs. Mendelev. "Max, control your robot this instant!" She shouts. "But Markov's right here." Max said. "If I'm here... then who is that?" Markov asked in confusion. "Someone who's not a toy, that's who!" Robustus answers.
Marinette looks out the window of the girls' room and see P.J. was emitting a dark purple aura. "That aura. There's no mistaking it. P.J.'s been akumatized!" She said in shock. "Looks like he lost against Hawk Moth trying to get back Nooroo and Duusu." Tikki said. "I'm not going to let Hawk Moth do this to my new best friend." Marinette said as she needed to transform. Meanwhile in the boy's room, Plagg comes out from Adrien.
"Wow! We really must've ticked our friend off when he wanted to help rescue Nooroo and Duusu." Plagg stated. "We got to help P.J. snap out of it." Adrien said. "No kidding. We got some catching up to do. How am I going to tell Nooru and Duusu about my exquisite journey I've been on in the world of camembert?" Plagg spoke to Adrien. "You really are something." Adrien spoke to Plagg about his infatuation with camembert, the stinky cheese.
"Time to transform!" They both shout to their respective kwamis. Cue Ladybug's transformation sequence.
"Tikki, spots on!" Marinette shouts but shows a sad look on her face as Tikki goes inside her Ladybug Miraculous, the earrings as she transforms. "Plagg, claws out!" Adrien shouts as Plagg warps inside his cat ring Miraculous as he transforms into Cat Noir.
"Please, you don't have to do this!" Chloe Bourgeois pleaded as she was tied up by the akumatized villains who gathered everyone in the courtyard. "You're right. We don't have to. We just want to." P.J. said with a smirk on his face until he tried to regain his senses. "STOP IT!" P.J. shouted as he pounded the ground with his fist, to everyone's shock. "P.J.?" Juleka asked in surprise. "What's wrong?" Rose asked. "Someone help me!" P.J. shouted as his dark side took control. "Stop resisting, weakling." He said to himself. "Hey you! Stop!" Ladybug shouted from behind as she and Cat Noir appear as P.J. turned around.
"Well, well, Ladybug and Cat Noir! Thank goodness you're here!" P.J. said. "Finally..." He said whispering. "P.J., let's just talk about this..." Ladybug said. "Now you want to talk. It's too late, Ladybug. I'm getting THIS close to having Chloe admit she's a spy. Just for you two." P.J. said as he points his Anti-Akumatizer, which was now an Akumatizer Ray at Chloe who is in shock. "Revenge won't change anything, buddy." Cat Noir said.
"My name is not BUDDY!" P.J. shouted, bringing in a reference from The Incredibles. " And P.J. is dead. It's Dark Mills now!" Dark Mills said. "We don't believe that." Cat Noir said. "P.J.'s not dead. I know he's in there somewhere." Ladybug said. "You'd love that, wouldn't you? Because P.J., you'd twist him with all your words, he'd believe you, but not ME!" Dark Mills shouted as he gets a butterfly mask on his face.
"Dark Mills, Cat Noir and Ladybug are in your sight. Get their Miraculous!" Hawk Moth said as I frowned. "No. How about you do it, Mr. Hawk-Moo?" Dark Mills asked. "I need to get my confession from your little spy." Dark Mills said. "What did you call me?!" Hawk Moth growled. "You heard me! Hawk-Moo! Hawk-Moo, Hawk-Moo, Hawk-Moo! I won't let you use me for this!" P.J. shouted to Ladybug and Cat Noir's confusion that he was fighting back against the akuma.
"Don't forget they denied you for your help. Those two are the real enemy! Now, stop resisting and get their Miraculous, now!" Hawk Moth shouted as P.J. was in pain as he became Dark Mills again. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD! P.J.'s not gonna be pushed around anymore. He's going to make them pay. Everyone who taught they could hurt him and get away with it. Starting with these two... ALL OF YOU!" Dark Mills shouted. "Talk about showing resistance." Cat Noir stated. "Guys! Help me!" P.J. shouted and pleaded to Ladybug and Cat Noir.
"P.J., fight back!" Ladybug shouts. "I'm... Trying!" P.J. shouted in pain. "Not happening, bug-brain!" Dark Mills said. "Friends, get rid of the loser ladybug and the crazy cat, while I get my confession." He commanded the villains as they began to attack Ladybug and Cat Noir.
They manage to evade their attacks as Dark Mills approached Chloe tied up, who tried to flee in horror. "Going somewhere, Miss Bourgeois?" He asked as Ladybug grabs Princess Fragrance's weapon and tries to break it to free the akuma. "Time to de-evili- What? Where's the akuma?" Ladybug asked in shock. "Ladybug, we're right here!" Rose shouted with her being tied up along with everyone else. "I know you set me up at the election, Chloe. And you deserve to be evilised, just... like... me!" Dark Mills shouted as Chloe closed her eyes as he charged up my Akumatizer Ray.
"IT WASN'T CHLOE!" A voice shouted as the Akumatizer Ray powered down as everyone turned to the corner of where the voice was heard. The figure comes out of the shadows and reveals itself to be... Lila Rossi.
"What?" Asked Ladybug, Cat Noir, Mr. Damocles and I who are in shock. "Lila?" Cat Noir said silently. "I can't just let someone else pay for what I have done. Chloe's not the spy for Hawk Moth... I am." Lila Rossi said confessing herself as Dark Mills glared at her. "Volpina, what're you doing, you fool?" Hawk Moth shouted from his observatory.
"Figured you would show up to confess. I should akumatize them both!" Dark Mills shouted. "Lila, stay back!" Ladybug shouts. "No! I kept this in the dark for too long! I even spoke to Hawk Moth's true identity behind your backs. I also caused you trouble during Heroes' Day. There's the proof. This time, I'm telling the truth." Lila said.
"You want to sacrifice yourself for Chloe? Then, fine with me!" Dark Mills said as he began to constrict Lila with a metallic tentacle from his backpack. "You two want to save her? Come and find us at the Treehouse, if you dare!" Dark Mills said as they both teleported away and the villains around Ladybug and Cat Noir start to vanish.
"Did... they just... disappear?" Ladybug asked. "Yeah, milady. That's really strange! And P.J. was starting to fight back against Hawk Moth." Cat Noir said. "We should help him... and make up for what we have done to him." Ladybug said.
"Hello! Aren't you two forgetting someone?" Chloe Bourgeois shouted to Ladybug and Cat Noir. "Sorry!" They said as they set them free. "Thank you, Ladybug." Alya Cesaire said to Ladybug. "What happened?" Ladybug asked the group. "We were ambushed. Some of our villain selves showed up out of nowhere, and P.J. was starting to act strangely." Kim explained. "P.J. said that we would never be akumatized by Hawk Moth but..." Rose said.
"Never thought we would see ourselves akumatized, but I'm 100% positive none of us were akumatized now when they tied us up." Max spoke. "Correct. Seeing ourselves being evil was just 85% scary." Markov said. "Our Student Body President was going to get Chloe next, but he was fighting back against that akuma that was causing him to be bad." Alix explained.
"Sounds like your Student Body President was fighting back against Hawk Moth from what we've seen." Ladybug said from her point of view as Cat Noir chuckled. "Hawk-Moo." Cat Noir laughed until he cleared his throat.
"Cat Noir, Ladybug, P.J. is one of our shining examples of a good friend. You've got to help him." Alya said. "We will. Come on, kitty. To his Treehouse!" Ladybug shouted as she used her yo-yo to swing out of the area. "Wait! He has a treehouse?" Cat Noir asked as he caught up with his 'lovebug'.
"Good luck Cat Noir and Marinett- Ladybug." Alya said quietly. "Alya, did you say Marinette?" Mylene asked when Alya almost gave away Ladybug's true identity. "Nope. N-not me." Alya said. "Speaking of, where did she go?" Mylene asked, looking around. "Where did Adrien go?" Ivan asked, looking around.
Ladybug and Cat Noir arrive at the Treehouse and Cat Noir was wide-eyed to see the Treehouse. "Whoa. This is a big looking treehouse. It's like he made his own personal re-tree-t." He said joking as Ladybug sighs as he comes to the door. "Open." She spoke.
"Voiceprint unrecognized. Access denied." A computer female voice said. "No heroes allowed! Beat it, Loser Bug and Cat Creep!" Dark Mills shouted from inside. "How are we supposed to get in?" Cat Noir asked as Ladybug sighed. "I think his Treehouse's entrance is password protected. Can't believe I'm gonna say this..." She spoke. "Say what, milady?" Cat Noir asked in confusion.
"Hullabaloo, howdy doo. Musty prawns, Timbuktu. Yeltsy-by, hippety poo. Kick 'em in the dishpan, hoo hoo hoo." Ladybug said. "Kick 'em in the dishpan, hoo hoo hoo?" Cat Noir asked in confusion as Ladybug turns to him. "He just has a funny way to choosing a catchphrase." She said as the doors opened. "Let's go." Ladybug said. Before they could enter, they fell down a trap door as Dark Mills came to the entrance with Lady Wi-Fi. "Gotcha to say it, suckers." He spoke. "Lady Wi-Fi, did you record that?" He asked. "Every word of it, Big Boss." Lady Wi-Fi smiled as she placed a hand on her hip and a hand on Dark Mills's shoulder. Meanwhile, Ladybug and Cat Noir fell down to a dungeon.
"Whoa! Dark Mills must've set up a trap for us! I hope we're not stuck in here." Ladybug said as she tried to move the bars. "Aw great! This whole tree might be booby-trapped!" Cat Noir shouted as the tv screen turned on where Lila Rossi and Dark Mills saw them in the cell. Lila Rossi struggles to break free of Bubbler's bubble. "Enjoying your cell together, you two? Good to see you get what you deserve!" Dark Mills shouted as P.J. got control of himself.
"Ladybug? Cat Noir? Thank the Miraculous you two are okay!" P.J. shouted. "You guys got to help me!" I pleaded with the two heroes. "That's what we're trying to do, pal." Cat Noir said as he tried to fight back against Dark Mills. "Something tells me he's not just fighting back against Hawk Moth and the akuma." Cat Noir said. "He's fighting back against his darker impulses. P.J., I know you're there! You can fight it!" Ladybug shouted.
"Shut up! Shut Up! SHUT UP!" Dark Mills shouted as he began to slam his fist on the button, opening the cell door for Ladybug and Cat Noir. "It's like he wants us to free the akuma." Cat Noir said to Ladybug. "It doesn't matter. You won't find me. You don't even know there's a secret lab in this treehouse, do you?" Dark Mills said by accident. "Um, Big Boss, I, uh, I think you just told them." Bubbler said. "I what?! Uh... Ignore everything I said. End transmission!" Dark Mills said turning off the tv screen. "We got to hurry!" Ladybug said as she and Cat Noir leave their cell and enter the secret lab where Inky the Panda Bear kwami was hiding, albeit he peeks his head out.
"Was that a kwami?" Cat Noir asked since he saw Inky. "Yeah, he made that one and his own Miraculous too." Ladybug said. "How'd you know?" Cat Noir asked. "Hey, it's okay! We're friends of P.J.'s!" Ladybug shouted to Inky. "Can you help him?" Inky asked coming out. "Of course we will. Helping our friends, it's what we do. Where is he?" Cat Noir asked. "He left the lab and went into the central control room. You have got to help him!" Inky pleaded. "We will." Ladybug said as Inky points to where the control room is. They come in where Dark Mills awaits them.
"Well, well, you two finally decided to show up." P.J. said as Dark Mills takes complete control, equipping myself with the Akuma Ray. "P.J., why are you doing this?" Ladybug asked. "Revenge for rejecting me. All I wanted to do was to help you stop Hawk Moth. I only wanted to help, but what do you say to me?" He asked and explained as we flashback to the beginning of the chapter.
"You'd just get in the way." Ladybug said. "You might be a tagalong if you got in his crosshairs." Cat Noir said. Camera cuts to my room in the treehouse as I gained a dark aura. "Those words tore me apart. Then I remembered one thing somewhere. You can't count on anyone... especially your heroes." Dark Mills said as the flashback ended.
"We were wrong to say those words, we get it." Cat Noir admitted. "Yeah. We're sorry." Ladybug said. "Now you respect me. Too bad now I'm a threat. First Lila despises you, then Chloe for the Miracle Queen fiasco, and now I do too!" I shout as Lila watches us fight as I aim the Akuma Ray at Ladybug. "Prepare to be akumatized and evilised!" Dark Mills shouted firing the laser beams as Ladybug dodges. Roger Raincomprix gets hit by the Akumatizer and turns into Rogercop, and Otis Cesaire turns into Animan who come to the students at the high school. "The akuma's got to be in his Anti-Akumatizer." Ladybug said. "Oooh, you figured that out by yourself? It's an Akumatizer now! No, an Akuma Ray... Take this!" Dark Mills shouted again. "Cat Noir, we got to destroy that weapon." Ladybug said. "Leave it to me, milady." Cat Noir smirked.
"Cataclysm!" Cat Noir shouted as he activated his bad-luck destructive power as he tried to reach for my weapon. "Nuh uh! You know how hard I worked on this?!" Dark Mills shouted as he evaded, until Cat Noir's cataclysm touched my sunglasses similar to Nigel Uno's causing them to disintegrate into ash. "No! My Numbuh One sunglasses! Those were a memento from a good friend in the Kids Next Door." P.J. said to his despair as he looked at Ladybug and Cat Noir. "P.J., once I use my Miraculous Ladybug, everything'll be—" Ladybug spoke until Dark Mills erupted with rage.
"DESTROYER OF BEAUTY!" Dark Mills shouted as he pulled another ray gun and aimed at the heroes. It was the Kids Next Door SCAMPP (Soup Can And Magnified Photon Phlaser). I fire the ray gun at the heroes as they dodge. "Nice one, kitty." Ladybug said with a frown. "How can we get that akuma now?" Cat Noir asked. "Dark Mills, get their Miraculous, now!" Hawk Moth commanded. "Here's an idea. Give me your Miraculouses so I can get back at Hawk Moth for making this happen! I get 'em and I will force Hawk Moth to be good1" Dark Mills shouted. "That's not how we do things here." Ladybug said. "Yeah, fight him, not us!" Cat Noir said. Dark Mills began to scan their Miraculouses during our fight when he try to grab them.
"Lucky Charm!" Ladybug shouted using her Lucky Charm from her yo-yo, and it was a device similar to the Akuma Ray. "An Akuma Ray? He already has one." Ladybug asked seeing the Lucky Charm. "Hold on. There's something else. It says, Anti-Akuma Ray." Ladybug said.
"You cheater! You're copying me!" Dark Mills shouted as he stomped on the floor as Ladybug looks around with Lucky Vision and sees mirrors and Dark Mills. "Time to end this with a full blast!" Dark Mills shout powering up his Akuma Ray.
"Time to reflect on your actions!" Ladybug said as she fires the Anti-Akumatizer at the mirrors, coming the blast to ricochet and hit me, making me drop the Akuma Ray. "I'm sorry, P.J..." Ladybug then breaks it into two, freeing the akuma.
"No more evil-doing for you, little akuma." Ladybug said as she began to open her yo-yo and swings it around. "Time to de-evilise!" She shouted using the yo-yo to capture the akuma. "Gotcha!" She shouted as she opened her yo-yo again to free the purified akuma. "Bye-bye, little butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug!" Ladybug shouted tossing the Lucky Charm in the air, causing ladybugs to appear and fix the damage the Akuma Ray has done.
Otis Cesaire and Roger Raincomprix return to normal as Alya and Sabrina hug their relatives. The villains made by the Phantom Ruby disappear as Lila Rossi was freed from Lady Wi-Fi's Lock screen trap. Also, Numbuh One's sunglasses come back. "Pound it!" Ladybug and Cat Noir shout bumping fists until a laser fire was heard and Lila Rossi gets Ladybug and Cat Noir down. "It's not over yet, jerks!" Dark Mills shouted. "I don't get it. We won already." Cat Noir said. "He should've been de-evilised by now." Lila Rossi stated. "But why?" Ladybug asked. "It's time you knew. I'm different than all of your foes. I didn't want any powers that old Hawk-Moo could give me as I got my own arsenal of weapons. So, I let it happen to me." I said as Ladybug realized what I said. "What? So, you let Hawk Moth..."
"Yes! I wanted him to return me to the way I was! The Child of Darkness bottled up deep inside. I needed Hawk Moth to unleash the evil within my heart. And it feels. Pretty. Good." I said showing an evil smile. "Do you believe what you're saying?" Ladybug asked. "Enough talk. Time to destroy you both!" I shout as Lila Rossi bravely stands in my way. "Don't even think about it." Lila said. "Step aside, Lila!" Dark Mills shouted. "Absolutely not!" Lila said in protest. "Fine. I'll destroy you all!" I shouted holding my Akumatizer as Ladybug, Cat Noir and Lila close their eyes and prepare for the worst. They open their eyes and see my hand shaking, holding the Akumatizer.
"No. I don't want this!" I said fighting back against Dark Mills. "P.J.? C'mon, you can do it! Fight it!" Ladybug shouted. "I'm trying, Ladybug!" I shouted and struggled. "THIS...IS... TEARING ME... APART!" P.J. shouted, holding his head in pain as he began to separate my dark side in an explosion. "P.J.?!" Ladybug, Cat Noir and Lila shouted as P.J. fell to the floor, and his dark side, Dark Mills comes out with a red gleam of his sunglasses. "Finally... I'm free..." Dark Mills said.
"Those Miraculouses... are mine!" He roars as he charges into Ladybug, but clashes with Cat Noir who was defending her until he had begun to accidentally slash Dark Mills' face, making him scream in pain, leaving behind a scar. Cat Noir becomes shocked and so did Lila and Ladybug on what they saw. "That was an accident." Cat Noir said.
"Forget it! I'll take care of Hawk Moth on my own. Just stay out of my way!" Dark Mills shouted as he teleported away from the scene. "P.J.! Wait!" Cat Noir shouts as Ladybug grabbed his hand. "Cat Noir, wait! Look!" Ladybug shouts pointing at P.J. as he was unconscious on the floor. "P.J.!" They shout as they come to him. P.J. starts to gain consciousness as his vision's becoming blurry. "He's waking up." Ladybug said. "Ladybug? Cat Noir? What happened?" P.J. asked. "You were evilised." Ladybug said sadly.
"But... that meant... my dark side... What have I done? I'm so sorry." P.J. said, shedding a tear, that his dark side caused me to lose control. "What have I done? Oh, what have I done?" He cried. Ladybug starts to comfort him with a hug. "Hey buddy. It's okay. It's over. It's not your fault. It's Hawk Moth's." Ladybug said with sympathy.
"Worse guys. It's mine. Even after Heroes Day as Volpina, it's all my fault. All I can is... I'm sorry." Lila said in an apologetic tone to the heroes feeling remorseful as P.J. tried to stand up, but was feeling weak. But Ladybug still glares at Lila. "I bet that's another lie coming from you." She spoke. "Wait, if you're here, P.J., then who did Cat Noir give claw marks to?" Ladybug wondered to P.J. as her and Cat Noir's Miraculouses; the ring and earrings start to beep, meaning they're low on energy.
"Uh-oh! We gotta go! Get well soon!" Cat Noir shouts. "Get some rest, buddy." Ladybug said as Lila puts an arm around P.J.'s shoulder, carrying him. "Upstairs... my room. Rejuvenation Chamber... I need to recover." He said to Lila. "You got it." Lila said as Dark Mills watched in defeat and left with the virtual reality gem.
"Curse you, Ladybug and Cat Noir! I was so close to getting your Miraculouses this time! Dark Mills may have been defeated, but now thanks to you, he's ready to make war on my head with my identity!" Hawk Moth as he had his observatory close its window. Little did he know, Dark Mills had tracked his Butterfly Miraculous' location; at the Agreste Mansion. "There you are." Dark Mills said as he hid from Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Meanwhile, Ladybug and Cat Noir de-transform in different places as Tikki comes to Marinette and Plagg comes to Adrien. "That was the most difficult battle we ever had." Tikki stated. "I know. I hope P.J. will be okay. What will we tell everybody about our Student Body President?" She asked.
"Looks like Hawk Moth's in trouble now for akumatising our mutual friend." Plagg said. "But if what he said about my father being Hawk Moth is true, we better head back to the mansion." Adrien said running back. "Shouldn't we eat some camembert first?" Plagg asked as Marinette saw Adrien running to the mansion.
"What's Adrien doing here?" Marinette asked, seeing the love of her life as she hid. "You don't think that he was Cat Noir, do you, Marinette?" Tikki asked. "It can't be a coincidence, Tikki. Let's go home and hope P.J. gets better." Marinette said.
