Chapter 1:Brotherhood
"Are they brothers?. .triplets?" a priest asked as he looked at baskets holding triplets.
"I don't think so. . : the priest said before pointing at the first was calm with black hair and a necklace with him."This one has spunk" he to the second who had pale black hair and was fussing happily."This one. . something is off about him" the priest whispered to a blond hair kid who slept soundly with a small fox kit curled up by his side "Nothing could get the fox away from the kid. . .plus something about him feels. . . oppressive" He said "Not in a particularly bad way. . . just that way".
"Hmm your name is Yuno" The priest smiled "And the spunky one over here is. ." the priest was cut off by a kick from the spunky kid."Your a bit too spunky" The priest gritted his teeth nose bleeding before he just simply chuckled "Your Asta huh. ." The priest said before looking at the last and standing up "And finally Naruto. . well don't worry you three. .cause starting today this is your new home" The priest smiled.
"SISTER LILY!"
"Someday I'll become the Wizard King and make you happy" said a pale-haired teen boy wearing a white tee shirt and a blue hoodie and a black headband."So please marry me!" Asta proclaimed before he ate dirt via a kick by a teen with wild blond hair and a black sleeveless shirt showing off impressive biceps and orange baggy pants and sunglasses."BAKA! WHY ARE YOU ASKING A SISTER OF THE CHURCH TO BE YOUR WIFE THAT MAKES NO SENSE!" Naruto said before he was tackled by Asta.
Sister Lily giggled as the two boys roughhoused rolling in the dirt."Im flattered Asta but im a sister to everyone including you" Lily said before Asta and Naruto paused with Naruto in headlock and Naruto punching his stomach."N-Not yet" Asta said to the sister in training."Um. .I'm sorry" Lily said and Asta then bowed."I'm not giving up yet!" he proclaimed.
"But. .uh . ." Lily said as Asta kept repeating himself banging his head on the eyes widened as a blue book appeared in Lily's hand and he slowly stepped back a couple times."Stop pestering me!" Lily said as several orbs or water formed a fist above Lily."Water Creation Magic:Fist of Love!" Lily said and Asta looked up too late before he was slammed down by the water."Oh Asta. .I'm sorry" Lily apologized as Asta twitched in the pool of water.
"Way to put him down Rabbit Sister. . literally" Naruto huffed with a Asta sprung up more inspired than ever."I'm not giving up!" Asta yelled before Naruto grabbed by his waist and suplexed him to the floor."Geez Asta thats no good" Naruto said as Asta got up dusting himself off."I got a bit too excited that all" He huffed as a black teen walked up with other kids."Eh Why are you getting in my way too Yuno! Naruto!" Asta yelled and Naruto fixed his shades in place while Yuno rubbed his chin.
"I respect her choice to remain a maiden" Naruto said
"You guys are loud,short,obnoxious,and Immature" Yuno said "Basically you're not appealing to a woman in anyway" Yuno said leaving Asta stunned."Yea and your cold,lanky,emo,and stupid enough to hang with us" Naruto said taking up for Asta. . mostly cause he is all four of those things gave Yuno pause before he turned to the grinning Naruto with a deadpan look."Asides who treat the guys he grew up with the past fifteen years ago like that" Asta yelled as a dog sized fox trotted over and heeled by Naruto's side."Oh there you are Kurama" Asta said as he petted the shared fox between the brothers.
"Like Naruto said she can't get married anyways. . .plus neither can you" Yuno said as Asta gritted his teeth in anger."Yuno! I challenge you to a fight!" Asta said and the other kids perked up."You can't beat Yuno, Asta. . .you can't even use magic" one kid said and Asta frowned at the reminder.
"He still got range on you Asta" Naruto sighed "Your not fast enough to cover for that yet" the blond said before he took off his sunglasses reveal golden pupils with a unique mandela on it "I however is more than happy to take you own" Naruto said."No thank you" Yuno sweated remembering the last time the two fought.
"Nice technique you have, Yuno" Naruto said, sitting on Yuno's back while two clones of himself played around
"Hmm i thought so" Naruto said before he and Sister Lily turned to see a deflated Asta and while the priest praised Yuno Naruto walked up to the magicless teen."Hey listen up man. .don't let Yuno and the others get you down. .the ceremony is coming up and once you get your grimoire maybe that will awaken your magic" Naruto said and Asta looked up to see a smiling Naruto and Lily.
"You think so" Asta whispered before he wiped his eyes and looked up to "Giant Cave" and Naruto dubbed it when they were kids."Your right Naruto! I'll get a grimoire and unlock magic even rarer and more unique than yours and Yuno!" Asta grinned.
"Believe it then Asta" Naruto said with his own grin.
"Hell yeah!" Asta grinned "Ill become Wizard King and fix up this shoddy old place right Naruto? Yuno?" the boy said holding his fist out and while Naruto reciprocated it Yuno didn't deciding to turn away and walk off clearly hurted Asta who turned and ran off on his own."Asta wait!' Lily said and Naruto grabbed her shoulder and shook his head."Ever since the day we were attacked by those animals Yuno had slowly begun to distance himself from us. . .Asta just needs to deal with that on his own Sister" Naruto said and Lily frowned and nodded.
Naruto turned and walked into the church where Yuno then turned and grabbed Yuno by his collar and glared at him."The hell is your damage Yuno!. .Asta needs our support and as brothers we should be there for him yet you put him down every step of the way!" Naruto snarled and Yuno turned away.
"Sorry Naruto. .i can't" Yuno said and Naruto just glared and let him go silently storming off
Its March and all the 15 year olds stood in a large library-like room waiting to receive their grimoire."Yosh I can't wait to get my grimoire" Asta said to Naruto who just chuckled."I'm sure it will be bad ass Asta" Naruto said.
"Welcome young men and young women" said a voice and the teens looked up to see a old man fly down on a glowing green book."You all begin a new journey today" he continue to say "I wish you all faith,hope, and love".The book disappeared and the old man stepped up "I am the master of this grimoire tower and while we have never had a wizard king or even a magic knight of importance here. .i sincerely hope one of you could achieve both" The bookkeeper said with a friendly Asta and Naruto grinned at each other.
"Now its time for the awarding of the grimoires!" with that said books began to glow and fly into the hands of kids around face began to fall once he noticed nothing fly towards him and Naruto blinked when a super thin gold and purple book fly into his hands."What the hell" both boy said and suddenly they eyes was locked onto Yuno who book was glowing."A four leaf clover" Naruto said shocked.
To explain a grimoire is ranked by the type of leaf inscribed on the four leaf one is legendary and hasn't been seen since the first ever wizard king.
Other began chattering at this and Asta gritted his teeth but Naruto grabbed his shoulder."Its not worth the effort Asta" Naruto said and Asta growled and stormed turned and locked eyes with Yuno and turned and walked off with Asta as the home field chanted Yuno name and greatness.
"YOU LIED TO ME!"
Naruto blocked a punch from Asta as the two sparred."You said once I get my grimoire I'll be able to use magic. .and while you're not wrong. .I DIDN'T GET A GRIMOIRE!" Asta as he deflected a palm strike by Naruto."Well if it makes you feel better i only got two spells" Naruto said and Asta paused."Wait really?" he said and Naruto summoned his grimoire."Yea. . .its called Demonic Mirror Reflection and Demonic Mirror Counter" Naruto sighed as he desummoned it.
"Well if i got no magic i can live with having so few" Asta sighed as he then Naruto sat down."Am I a mistake Naruto. .some sort of flaw God overlooked or something" Asta asked and Naruto looked up and pulled his brother into a one arm hug."We're brothers. .god made us at the same time so if your a mistake then so am I" Naruto said and Asta teared up."That doesn't help dumbass" he laughed, pushing Naruto slightly.
Standing up Asta yelled out."LISTEN UP FATE! iLL BECOME THE WIZARD KING AND PROVE TO YOU THAT ANYONE CAN BE AWESOME SOMEDAY YA HERE!"
Naruto smiled peacefully before he and Asta caught sight of a man with chain magic holding a teen and confronting Yuno.
"Until recently I was a pretty well known wizard knight named Rev Chi of the Chain Magic" Revchi said before the chains glowed."Until recently when I was kicked out and became a petty thief!' He said as chains appeared from underground and binded Yuno."I'll be taking that grimoire" the thief said yet Yuno remained calm."Revchi wasn't it?. .it's pointless to steal that" He was saying till Revchi cut him off."Your right however underground collectors are buying grimoire for insane prices!" Rev chi said "And that chain looks expensive too. .so I'll ju" Revchi was cut off when he was kicked in the back of the head.
"Leave Yuno alone!" Asta yelled before he sprung off Revchi's head and landed on a wall just as Naruto arrived."Nice kick but we need to work on your falling" Naruto complimented."Now you drop the grimoire and scram thief" Naruto said summoning his own."Such a small grimoire. .maybe i can get a penny slot off of it!" Revchi yelled, shooting spiked chains out."NARUTO!" Asta and Yuno yelled.
Naruto made a clone that took the impaling as he flipped open his grimoire."Demonic Mirror Reflection!" Naruto yelled."And what is that gonna. .urk" Revchi was saying until blood spurted from his shoulder blade in the same place he pierced the clone."So even damage my shadow clones take could be countered . . but it didn't cut deep so it doesn't seem damage scales" Naruto thought as he and Asta began dodging chains wilding swinging."ASTA RUN!" Yuno yelled as Asta flipped over and slid under a chain and charge Revchi who grabbed Asta by the collar and threw him on the wall hard enough Asta felt something break.
Revchi chains all winded up to pierce Asta who was slumped over."Dance of the Pitless Viper!" He said and blood flew in the air.
"We're all mistakes"
Asta looked up to see a severely cut up Naruto panted as he shielded Asta." . .We're brothers so God made us all the same. . You,me,and Yuno we're all made from the same cloth" Naruto said as his sunglasses fell to the floor."So if one of us bleed then we all bleed. . .if one of us fights then we all should fight" Naruto said looking up his the mandela in his eyes spinning."And if one us is in danger THEN WE ALL SHOULD RESCUE HIM!".
Naruto grimoire flowed revealing a four leaf clover and a new page appeared in the book."Dance of the Pitless Viper!" Naruto yelled as Revchi's eyes widened when several chains appeared to cut him up severely."How. . .what kind of magic" Revchi thought but his thoughts were cut off as Naruto collapsed with his injuries."Well. .aren't you something else. . " Revchi coughed out blood "Magic capable of stealing others magic" Revchi said though he did not it was more like copying than stealing.
"Naruto is right Asta" Yuno said "You know why you can't become the Wizard King. .it's because I'm gonna become the Wizard King" He yelled shocking Asta."Naruto is the brother who supports us and I'm the brother who challenges us!" Yuno yelled out tearing up for the first time since they were attacked by the wolves that cold winter and Yuno and Naruto unlocked their magic."BUT YOUR THE GLUE THAT BRING THE BOTH OF TOGETHER. .THE LAST PIECE TO THIS PUZZLE. . YOUR MY BROTHER. .AND MY RIVAL . .BROTHER ASTA! Yuno yelled and Asta felt something in him resound.
"Not. . Not yet" Asta said as he shakily stood up."Sorry you had to see me in such a way brother Yuno. . but damn am i in pain" Asta said "But it doesn't matter. .he made our brother bleed" Asta said as in flash of red magic a black six clover grimoire appeared in front of Asta."A gri-moire" Asta whispered and Yuno smiled. "Naruto is right. . we are all the same type of person. .and if we were chosen then no way you haven't been as well!" Yuno 's grimoire opened to a book and from it a giant black blade emerged and planted itself in front of him.
"But you didn't have any magic before now" Revchi said in shock "What in the world is that grimoire" he said backing off.
You see a grimoire power is represent in the leaves of a clover
One for faith
Two for hope
Three for love
And the rare fourth leaf for good luck
How ever the one rarer than the fourth is the five leaf clover. . .representing a hidden demon within its owner
I'm not gonna give up because i can't use magic
Asta stood up with a stretch and a crack fixing his back.
I'm gonna prove to the world that anyone one orphan or powerless can shine
Asta sat Naruto up against a tree and picked up his new sword
Cause not giving up is my magic
Asta then charged Revchi with a roar
"Another new Story bro really?"
Hear me out here this is a passion project ya know aside from Uzumaki in this story i'm gonna go heavy on the themes of brotherhood and it might be OOC for Naruto to be that religious but Naruto always has been a victim of circumstances and growing up in a church would make him more religious.
Anyways Naruto magic is gonna be a watered down version of Adam's Divine can copy any magic attacks and add it to his grimoire (hence why its only 3 spells).I'm not giving him a five leaf clover. . . maybe. . . it's up to you guys though I'm willing to change something.
Also Tenko and the Goddess of War next chapter coming Friday!
Naruto's base magic-
Demonic Self-Reflection: Naruto can make copies of himself out of various elements but they can't use any copied magic, only the Demonic Reflections.
Demonic Reflection-Naruto can copy any magic attack he see and add it to his while Naruto can use it with the exact same efficiency as the copied user it causes 2x the mana the original user used.
Demonic Reflection Counter- Any damage Naruto takes he can reflect onto the cause of the scales to durability (Meaning if naruto is hit with an attack and he reflects it then may do more or less damage based on their own durability).
I might have to create a chapter specifically meant for every spell Naruto as copied.
