3 April 2025.
Tohru Ogata woke up suddenly in his home, roused from his sleep.
He had a nightmare, which nearly made him wake up screaming; after calming down, he forgot all about the dream.
On his way out of the room, he ran into his father - Ryuutarou.
Ryuutarou Ogata had fallen into workaholism after his divorce, as well as the death of his son two years ago, while drinking coffee he noticed Tohru, this caused him slight surprise, but he did not know why - after all, his son got up.
Ryuutarou: Good morning Tohru...
Tomorrow you are already starting your final year in middle school right?
Tohru nodded.
Ryuutarou: And where do you plan to go after that?
East high school or West high school?
Or will you try to fight for École, or some good high school in Tokyo?
Tohru: I don't know yet...
But I think maybe Eastern High School would be the best option.
Ryuutarou: Hmmm, so you are staying in Yomiyama after all?
Tohru: I don't know if I would do well in a better school.
Ryuutarou: Of course you could deal with it.
You are my son, after all.
A smile appeared on Ryuutarou's work-weary face.
Ryuutarou: Maybe call your mother and Mamoru, maybe they can give you some more advice.
Tohru: Sure.
Tohru had no friends, after all, he was the person who returned.
However, instead of them, he had bullies.
Some in his class considered him a freak because he was quiet and fearful.
Their memories were also overwritten by the curse, so they knew about Tohru's strange behavior.
The only person not affected by the curse was Michika, who was surprised when her friends Yuuichi and Kana said something about Ogata.
Michika, however, decided to hide this fact so that no one would report it to the Commission, which has replaced the democratic election for ignored person for several years.
The commission was formed in connection with the events of 2010, when one of the students who was elected ignored committed suicide in front of the entire class in an act of protest, he claimed that he was not elected from being a likely returner, but because of his appearance.
In response, Class 3-3 educator Hajime Ueda, along with Ichijirou Honma, set up a committee in 2010 to investigate through questioning the students and determine who might have been the real extra.
Despite the suicide in 2010, the curse did not strike, as the extra had just committed it.
In the following years, Ueda-sensei became a librarian, following the murder of librarian Ms. Ichinose in 2017.
Ueda thus became a permanent member of the Commission, along with Ichijirou Honma and the class 3-3 educator, in the case where Ichijirou Honma was the teacher, an assistant teacher was appointed.
Except for singular deaths, this system was almost reliable.
For several days prior to the election of the non-existent Tohru, he became known as a strange and inaccessible person, some students like Issei Akagi and Saki Kojima saw him talking to himself.
Teachers also noticed this, so there was no doubt who would become a non-existent in 2025.
For the first months of grade 3-3, Tohru only kept in touch with Shion Urushibara.
Although he was not aware of it, he set up an account on UMessage under the name Shion Urushibara.
Tohru couldn't remember when he wrote and, as it were, harassed Naomi as Shion Urushibara.
It would seem that Shion had taken control of him.
However, because of this, Naomi recognized the existence of Shion Urushibara, causing two people to come back to life in 2025, instead of one.
Shion Urushibara, the only thing she had related to Class 3-3 was her body, which belonged to Izumi Akazawa.
However, despite everything, his feelings for Naomi were real, with the materialization of Shion, Tohru ceased to be influenced by her.
Naomi, on the other hand, completely ignored the fact that Tohru was just an extra person, and tried not to think about the fact that Tohru would be erased from her memory after finishing this class.
Naomi and Misaki's relationship began to deteriorate since Naomi began to be friends with Tohru, and Misaki started working for Chitose.
Misaki began to treat Naomi disrespectfully, Naomi was sad about this, and began to wonder what had caused such a change of attitude in her sister.
She suspected it might have something to do with her part-time job as a maid at the Minamiyashiki mansion.
Once she brought up the subject with Michika.
Naomi: Hey Muneyoshi-san, Have you noticed any change in Misaki, perhaps?
Michika wondered for a moment if she should tell the truth? Or tell a half-truth? Or maybe lie or ignore Naomi.
Telling the truth, about Misaki's real job, would be foolish, however, lying that killing people for hire had no effect on Misaki was equally foolish.
She was left with the option of telling a half-truth
Michika: No, it's just that the Minamiyashiki clan treats its servants exceptionally meanly.
Naomi: So why doesn't Misaki quit her job?
Michika: I don't know, but I assume due to the fact that we are paid well.
Naomi: Is it all about the money, then?
Michika simply shrugged her shoulders.
Naomi then began to look more closely at her sister, a school trip to the temple was coming up, which the 3-3 class had started going to again since 2014.
The changes in Misaki's behavior were not great, the only thing was that she was more distant from Naomi since Misaki killed Yukiyo.
Naomi, of course, did not know that Kirika had died at Misaki's hands.
Naomi: Misaki, Are you raising money for something?
Misaki: That's how I would have my own apartment, I would like to become independent quickly, just like Mizuki.
Naomi: Then maybe I would also start working for the Minamiyashiki?
Misaki felt the danger that her true "work" would eventually be revealed.
In a firm voice, she answered Naomi
Misaki: They don't need anyone, besides, you'd have enough after a few days.
Naomi: Oh, okay...
By the way, how much have you earned already?
This question caught Misaki off guard, the payments she was getting for her contracts from Chitose were much higher than the salaries of maids, besides, Misaki had no idea how much the average maid earned.
Misaki: Definitely not enough.
Naomi: I hope you manage to raise enough money.
Naomi smiled and was in a good mood, Misaki nodded at that.
