Happy reading!

"Where is he taking you?" Rose asked from my bed. She's laying down, reading a magazine, watching as I get ready for my date.

I shrugged as I put the cap back on my lipstick, fluffing my hair one last time in the mirror above my dresser. "He hasn't told me anything."

Edward had remained tight lipped about the whole thing, despite me trying to get out of him what he had planned for our evening. The only thing that he's told is that I'll like it.

"He's bringing out the big guns." Rose put the magazine down. "He has it bad for you."

He wasn't the only one who had it bad. The more time Edward and I spent together, the deeper my feelings for him grew. They felt so natural, that it was hard to remember a time when I didn't feel this way for him, it was such a part of me now. I was pretty sure I was already half in love with him.

"Are you happy?"

I meet her eyes in the mirror, a goofy smile on my face. "Beyond happy."

She smiled back at me. "Good. That's all I want for you."

There's a knock at the front door then, interrupting our moment.

"I'll get it!" she exclaimed, jumping off the bed, rushing out of my bedroom to get to the front door first.

I shook my head as I grabbed my bag and headed out to the living room.

Rose is standing with the door open, talking to Edward. The sight of him makes my mouth water. He looks handsome in black slacks with a white button down tucked into them. He looks good in a basic t-shirt and jeans, but there's something about him dressed up that just does it for me. I'm sure if he'd shown up in a suit, my ovaries would've exploded.

When he sees me enter the room, he seems to forget that he was having a conversation with Rose. I'm not wearing anything crazy, just a simple sun dress, but he can't take his eyes off me.

"Hi." He says, sounding a little breathless. It's nice to know I'm not the only one feeling overwhelmed right now.

"Hi." I feel myself blush. You'd think I'd never gone on a date before.

"You look gorgeous."

"Thank you." My eyes take him in again. "You don't look half bad yourself."

He chuckled. "Are you ready?"

"Yeah."

"Hey!" Rose called to us, with a serious look on her face. "Don't keep her out too late."

He flips her off as I laugh.

"Are you going to tell me where we're going now?" I asked when we were in his car heading out of our complex.

"You're making this romancing you thing a little difficult." He takes my hand, his thumb running along my knuckles. "I'm trying to woo you, here."

"You can still woo me and tell me where we're going." I've always been an impatient person, and he knows that. It shouldn't come as a surprise now.

"Not a chance, beautiful." The term of endearment warms my heart, making me melt.

"I like you calling me that." I admit, feeling timid at admitting something like that out loud.

He squeezes my hand. "You always are."

Jesus, I was a puddle of goo. He was making it way too easy to fall for him.

A few minutes later, he's parking in front of Second Chance Books, my favorite bookstore in the entire city.

"What we doing here? They're closed."

He doesn't answer right away, just gets out of the car, coming around to the passenger side. He opens the door for me.

"Edward?"

"Bella?"

"What are we doing?"

He groaned and I could tell he was getting slightly irritated with how difficult I was making this.

"Just get out of the car, Swan." I do, taking his hand as we head to the store, where Edward knocks on the door.

Peter, the older man who owns the store, opens the door, giving us a smile. "Welcome."

I let Edward lead me into the store, still confused as to what was going on.

"Everything is set up on the second floor. You two enjoy. I'll be in the office in the back if you need anything."

"Thank you, Peter."

"You're more than welcome."

I watch their exchange trying to figure out what's going on.

"What…" I start, but I don't know how to finish the question, because I don't know exactly what I should be asking.

"I know this is one of your favorite places in the entire world, so I rented the place out for the night." He explains and I feel my heart fall right at his feet. He knows me so well. He didn't take me to a fancy restaurant that costs way too much money. He brought me to my favorite bookstore. "Our dinner is on the second floor. Which if my memory serves correct, is also your favorite section of the store."

The second floor was where all the romance novels were. I spent most of my time up there looking through the rows of shelves to find all the best ones.

"Edward." I didn't know what I was expecting from tonight, but this definitely wasn't it.

"Do you like it?"

I couldn't speak. He'd made me speechless. So, I kissed him instead.

See you tomorrow!
