Angel's eyes fluttered open and yawned, rubbing his eyes as he sat up. The spider demon turned and smiled as he saw Husk lying next to him fast asleep. Angel reached over and gently ran his fingers through the fur on Husk's back, softly teasing the bases of his wings and making Husk twitch and mewl in his sleep. Angel chuckled, leaning over and giving Husk a soft peck on the cheek before sliding off the bed and grabbing fresh panties.
Angel hummed softly as he tidied up his and Husk's clothes off the floor. As Angel went to grab Husk's boxers, he noticed something inside. Angel picked up the article and turned it halfway inside-out; Angel blushed when he realized what he was looking at. The spider demon jumped when he heard Husk let out another mewl and stretched out across the bed, flapping his wings a little as he sat up.
"Ooh… ugh, hey," Husk yawned, "Morning, Angel." Angel chuckled uneasily and waved as Husk stood up and gave another stretch, quickly flipping Husk's boxers back to normal as the cat demon walked up and gave his one hand a tender kiss. "You sleep well?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah," Angel nodded, giving an awkward chuckle, "Here, Husk. I'm guessing you're gonna want your boxers back." Husk smiled as he reached up to grab his boxers, gasping as Angel pulled them back and said, "Just one question." Angel reached into his boxers, turning them inside out and pointing to a patch of white on the inside; Husk's cheeks flushed as Angel asked, "What the hell is that?"
"I… it-it's… it's a," "Little word of advice, Husk," Angel said with a smile, "Pretty much all of these cheap store-brand things leak worse than you do. Just bite the bullet and buy some Depends. Maybe I'll buy you a few pairs of that fancy washable underwear so you won't have to blow all your tip money on pads."
"How… how did you?" Husk's face burned bright red as he watched Angel sashay over to his bathroom and open the door. Angel smiled and greeted Fat Nuggets as the little pig trotted out and over to his little pet bed. Angel chuckled softly as he looked over at Husk with a smile, and said, "Anyway, I'll see you later, Husk. I've gotta get dressed for a shoot this afternoon. You should probably to head down to your room so you can wash up and get some fresh clothes." Angel tossed Husk his boxers, blowing him a kiss before heading into the bathroom, waving and giving a flirty wink before closing the door.
Husk just stood there, staring into space for a few seconds before slipping into his boxers, grabbing the rest of his clothes and dashing out of the room, running down the hall to the elevator and made his way down to his room. Husk groaned as he finally arrived at his own room, sighing as he double locked the door and headed over to his dresser, stripping and dropping his clothes into his hamper before grabbing a fresh change of everything and going into the bathroom.
He was hoping to take some time to soak in a hot bath, but he was just too tense after what Angel said. So, he allowed himself a five-minute soak and washed up before getting out and drying off, brushing his fur out as best he could and putting on his clean clothes. Husk sighed as he took a moment to collect his thoughts before heading down to the bar. Once there, he grabbed his cloth, turning on his little radio and tuning into a station playing some soft Jazz before he started polishing the countertop.
Husk reached into his pocket, pulled out his flask and brought it over to the skink to rinse it out. Once it was cleaned out, he grabbed a bottle of rum, whiskey, and a couple of orange peels and mixed it in the shaker along with a few bits of ice and fresh water to water down the mix before grabbing a funnel to pour the mix into the flask. Husk gave another heavy sigh before gently swirling the mix inside the flask, taking a quick sip before tucking it away. Husk checked the clock and smiled a little as he headed over to the elevators.
The old cat gasped as the elevator door opened to reveal Alastor. "Ah, Husker. You look like you slept well." Husk grumbled, getting into the elevator and hitting the button to go up to the top floor. "You and Vaggie have flight practice today?" Alastor asked; Husk just groaned, pulling out his flask and taking a healthy swig before putting it away again.
"Can I help you with something?" Husk grumbled. "Not at all," Alastor chuckled, "I have some things to discuss with Charlie about the hotel, so I suppose our meeting was just a… happy coincidence." Husk just hummed and nodded, trying to remain civil as he and Alastor exited the elevator and made their way up to the roof.
"Hey, Husk." Charlie greeted as Husk stepped onto the roof, "You okay? You look a bit… I don't know, on edge." "It's fine, Charlie." Husk sighed and gestured back towards Alastor who was standing right behind him. "Alastor was looking for you. Um… where's Vaggie?" Charlie smiled and pointed up towards the sky. Husk smiled as he looked up and saw Vaggie practicing swerves and simple combat maneuvers in the air. Husk chuckled, crossing his arms and nodded, saying, "That's my girl."
"Well, we'll leave you to it." Charlie cheered, "Come on Alastor. See you later, Vaggie!" Vaggie paused and looked down, spotting Charlie and the guys below; she smiled and waved goodbye to Charlie as she and Alastor left. Vaggie smiled and gave a little bow as Husk flew up and joined her in the air.
"I was half expecting you to not show up today." Vaggie chuckled, "You must be exhausted after your little party last night. So, how much money did you win?" Husk laughed, shaking his head and said, "Oh, it wasn't much. Honestly, I left with less cash than I'd started with. But, I probably would've gotten it back in another couple of hands… if Alastor hadn't come by to ruin our good time." Vaggie flinched when she saw Husk curl his hands into fists; he was visibly shaking and his golden eyes flashed red for a few seconds. "Insufferable... prick."
Husk paused, closed his eyes, took a deep breath and let it out slowly; his body became visibly more relaxed and a soft smile appeared across the old cat's face. Vaggie smiled and crossed her arms as Husk sighed and said, "But hey, everyone got on great with Angel, and the gang and I had a lot of fun… while it lasted. So, at least the night wasn't a total loss." "I'm sure that romp in the sheets with Angel didn't hurt, either." Vaggie teased. Husk's cheeks flushed deep at that; the older sinner's face quickly morphed from one of content to one of pure embarrassment.
"W-what… what are you talking about?" Husk stammered. "I was grabbing something from the kitchen, and I saw you two getting it on in the lobby after the others left. By the looks on your faces when you were heading to the elevators, I had a suspicion that at least one of you was about to make a deposit." Husk shrunk a little, backing away a little as Vaggie chuckled and said, "W-w-well… I-I… I uh," "Husk. it's fine." Vaggie pipped, "Really; I'm happy for you two. And, if it makes you feel better, I haven't said anything to anyone."
Husk's body instantly relaxed as he smiled at Vaggie, gave a nod and said, "Thanks, Vaggie. Now then, you ready to get started?" Vaggie laughed awkwardly and said, "Uh, actually, I need to use the bathroom really quick. Why don't you take a puff and I'll be right back."
Husk nodded and he and Vaggie saluted each other as the landed before going their separate ways. Husk hummed a soft Jazz tune as he walked over and sat down on the edge of the roof, pulling out his cigar case and grabbed one of his cigs. Husk let out a sigh of relief as he took a few puffs, cursing under his breath as he turned and saw he was low on blunts. "Shit. Ugh… guess I'm gonna have to call in for a refill." Husk groaned, "I hate going into that damn clinic."
Husk sighed as he took a long drag from a doobie and blew the smoke into the wind, closing his eyes and trying to relax a little while he waited for Vaggie to return. About fifteen minutes passed when Husk heard footsteps approaching. The old cat smiled as he turned and saw Vaggie walking over in her combat outfit. "You ready to get started?" Husk asked. "Damn straight," Vaggie said as she clenched her hand into a determined fist, "Let's do this, Husk."
Husk stood up and tamped out his cig before stashing it away in his cigar case, stashing it away in his pocket before joining Vaggie in the middle of the roof. The two spent the next thirty minutes stretching and doing a few warmup exercises before getting into position side-by-side a few yards away from the edge of the roof.
"You sure you'll be able to keep up, old man?" Vaggie snickered. "Don't mistake age for weakness, cadet," Husk chuckled, "Besides, speed only counts for so much. What matters here is technique. Let's see just how polished yours is, shall we?"
