"You're leaving?" Steve seeing me back the last of my stuff into a bag

"I need to see my Dad." I zipped up my backpack. "I'll meet up on the carrier." I swung on backpack onto my shoulder.

"You need to or you have to?" Steve asked standing in front of the door.

"We were."

"I thought so." He went back to the files.

"I understand why you stopped building weapons. Can you understand why I had to? I wasn't safe. I had nothing to keep me safe. You were stuck to a car battery. I couldn't do anything to protect myself!" I screamed.

He didn't say anything. He just tried to focus on the files in front of him.

After a few minutes, I got up and walked to the elevator. "Dad?" I looked back meeting his eyes. "I want out. I did it because I thought it would be different. It's not."

His whole body dropped in relief. He pointed to a small set of stairs. "Lab's up there. Let me worry about Fury."
