"This is stupid. Blind dates are stupid. Why did I agree to this?" I took a rather big drink from my whiskey sour.

"You'll love him. He's tall, dark and handsome with a little mystery." My friend, Mary, told me. "Besides, he lost a bet with John. There's no commitment unless, you know, it just feels right." She nudged.

I rolled my eyes and took another drink.

I could count on Mary not to steer me wrong. Loki, who went by Matt at the time, was the perfect gentleman. He convinced me to leave dinner early to go walk down the street to an ice cream shop. We spent hours talking about me. Then I asked about him. He gave me some fabricated story about his life that seemed too good to be true. I let go since I didn't think we'd get past the first date.

But I was wrong. We had plenty of other dates. We dated for about 6 months before he told me who he really was. I almost didn't believe him until he used his magic.

I asked him why he was here on Earth and he said that he got into a fight with his father and "ran away" for a while.

My cell phone buzzed against the nightstand.

"Darling, your phone." He groaned slipping his hand down between my bare legs, placing several small kisses on my shoulder.

I grabbed my phone. "Hello?" I answered groggy.

"Yes, I was still asleep." I said while Loki trailed kisses down my back.

"I can tell you right now, I know nothing about this." I spoke into the phone as Loki flipped me on my back, kissing into my neck, down my chest and stomach, stopping at my hips.

I propped myself on my elbows, looking him in the eyes, knowing what his next move will be. "That's not a good idea." I told both him and the coworker on the phone.

Loki smiled as he began spreading my legs apart, whispering, "You might want to finish up that phone call." He started nibbling at my inner thigh.

"Fuck." I whispered, laying on my back again. "Look," I spoke into the phone, "This sounds like a problem for I.T. Mhmm-Call them!" I yelled into the phone, hoping to cover the slight moan from the sudden movement Loki made.

I hung up the phone and tried putting it back on the nightstand, only for it to fall onto the floor.

"Good morning." He growled, crawling his way back up.

"I hate it when you do that." I smiled as he got close to my face.

"No you don't." He kissed me.

"Do you have to go back?"

"I've been gone too long darling. I promise I'll be back."

He did come back but he was different. He was colder and harsher to everyone but me. Something changed him. I just wish I knew what.

"Alexis!" Dad pulled me into a hug. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He placed his hands on either side of my face, examining any injuries I had.

"I'm fine." I pulled his hands down. "What's the damage?"
