That's Principal Takeda to you! 5 - (Original School Setting + Crossovers, feat. Principal!OC-I)
So, a while ago I mentioned that someone called home and told Yuki that I was bound to receive some inheritance from some grandfather I had no clue about.
I called my parents a while ago, and I got confirmation I had some grandfather that did disappear after the death of grandma. He used part of his moneys to buy a huge manor and... that one got taken by the bank. What I got was a small box he wanted his 'youngest relative' to claim.
I was that person, and I was soon sitting in the living room, Yuki blinking beside me by the couch as we glanced at the box. There was silence, endless thoughts running in our minds, but it was the kitsune that spoke first and she said what was going on inside my head.
"That's a cursed box."
"Sounds about right," I mumbled back, scratching my chin. "So... can you exorcise it?"
"I can't. But I don't think the curse can work on something above a mere human. I should be able to 'handle' this well enough," Yuki assured, and yet I found myself frowning over her wording.
"Should?"
"Trust me for once," She nagged back, and then she reached out to open the box.
Inside was... nothing. At least, nothing visible as I could easily sense something had 'entered' my domain and was currently contained slightly above the box and-
"Manifest yourself, young lady," Yuki snapped, a sharp tone known only to a stern motherly figure. Almost complying to the demand in an obedient fashion, a figure manifested. Tall, silent, she was indeed a ghost.
And yes, it was a she. Tall hourglass pale-white skin frame, dark straight hair that reached down to her lower butt, and she wore the stereotypical ghostly outfit: white kimono that was slightly open to reveal her cleavage, and a triangular paper thing pressing right above her forehead in a hat-like position.
Her eyes were pitch black- as if her sockets lacked any eye and... and she merely blinked at Yuki.
"Y-You are a kitsune."
"That's indeed the case, young miss. What's your name?" Yuki's tone remained stern, and it seemed to work again as the ghost bowed her head.
"K-Konya Wakana-san."
"And how did you end up in my grandfather's possession, Wakana-san?" I inquired, the girl... turning to look at me.
And she remained silent for a while until I reiterated my words.
"I wasn't asking, I want to know how you ended up in my grandfather's possession."
A twitch, then she bowed her head again.
"I-I don't know. I was just- I don't remember how I ended up in the box."
...
"Does that make two sealed people I found that have no clue on how they ended up in that situation?"
Yuki... gave me an awkward look.
"I-I guess. Still! This place is this man's home. So, the least you could get is an introduction," The kitsune say. "This here is Takeda Shunichi, and I am the housekeeper, Yuki."
"Nice to meet you both," The ghost mumbled. "Still... are you two going to... to hunt me?"
That question prompted more of our own aimed at Wakana. And the answers we got gave us a proper understanding of what had happened.
The old man had somehow found out about ways to 'bring back the death' through a ritual. It all had to happen in a 'leyline of spectral power' which was where the manor was located. Then, through some blood-spilling, a spirit can be summoned and bound to a box.
Tragically for him, all that effort led to Wakano, a lowly ghost that had been minding her own business in a desolate small house near the manor, to end up summoned and chained to the box. And the very moment gramps realized he didn't get his wife back, he started to go exorcist on the girl's ass and expected her to 'go away so I can try once more'.
Months later, and many failed attempts ensued, the old man was finally bested by death itself. Upon his demise, the house was sold and the box was given to me. From the way the last will was worded, it was clear the old fart wanted me to 'take the torch' but...
"You can stay at this house as the resident ghost, but you will have to uphold some simple rules. First, no haunting us or the guests- second, no possessions if you can pull those."
Wakano was nodding along my words, appearing hopeful in a rather strangely adorable display of delight at having a place where to stay and not have to behave like the 'regular ghost'. By the time I was done laying the rules of the home, Wakano was taken under Yuki's wing.
In her own words: "She will help me around the house. There's no point in the young miss to not do anything all day long."
I just had a feeling that the kitsune's motherly attitude had picked up a lost soul to adopt and now this was going to color the life at home in a new interesting blend. And while that sounded like an interesting development, today's duty to get groceries fell on my lap as Yuki had to stay at home to teach Wakano about what she could and what she could not do.
Usually I tended to avoid this burden around the weekends out of fear of finding students that may get a bit too 'comfy' about the idea of finding their principal around to talk with. It was that sort of trouble no one in my position wished to be found but...
There were times this was actually a good idea.
Such as today as I was wandering into the usual shop, getting enough supplies for another week and-
"Fuhuhu~, what a pathetic man you are, shopkeeper-san," A smug girl remarked and the owner appeared very nervous. "How about instead of ogling me, you do yourself a favor and drop yourself dead?"
I couldn't blame the guy for feeling so horrified. Legislation can be quite troubling for adults when there are brats whose goals are to exploit these laws to punish people that had done nothing to warrant punishment.
There were some that were immune to the basic form of accusation, such as myself, but people with 'lower' jobs such as vendors, shop-keepers- people that are not usually entrusted with the basic legal awareness they can be good people and they can be trusted.
So, with that in mind, it is not that difficult for strong laws to dictate some unfair trials at times. The public opinion was largely opposed to open sexuality due to the negative effects of such a culture, and thus not many could see how many innocents were drawn in the crossfire.
In a situation like this, the best way to handle the matter was to be a good citizen. And move the focus elsewhere.
So, while the brat was busy gloating over the 'miserable man', I walked up to the counter and put my things there. The old man spared me a look, almost surprised and hopeful, and I nodded at him as he slowly started to check my things and-
"H-Hey, I wasn't done talking with him."
I turned to finally greet the brat and... and I saw her tense up a moment as I felt like I recognized her from somewhere. Not a student of mine, that's for sure but... I think I have seen her- Wait a second.
"I believe you are done disrupting a man's work, young girl. And I doubt your parents would want you trouble anyone to this extent."
My stern voice was thrice warranted as not only was this a bratty girl and one that had been caught being a baiter, but this one was none other than an expy to Chloe von Einzbern. I know magic is a thing so... how the hell does the Nasuverse mix with all of this? I couldn't tell, but I did notice that Chloe wasn't in her child-like form. She was older, about middle school turning to high school.
"So?"
She gulped nervously, eyes darting away. "S-Sorry."
"Not to me, but to the owner. Now."
She shuddered and turned to the man. "S-Sorry for- for being mean."
The old man merely nodded, giving me a thankful look as he finished checking my items and I paid for the total. I left without saying anything more, glad that the brat understood that she should not cause disturbances to people that didn't deserve it...
What I didn't see was the giddy look that Chloe was giving me as a smile crept on her face.
AN
Ghosts and Brats! Still, a few important notes to add before anyone loses their shit: this is not the nasuverse. The Emiya Family just exist as part of this story, but it is not the same as in Prillya - There is no Leysritt and Sella, there is no Shirou, and there is no Maya Hisau around.
Kiritsugu met Irisviel during a bodyguard mission with 'grandma Natasha', they eloped and moved to Japan. There they had twin daughters, Illya and Chloe/Kuro. Simple as that, there's no holy grail war, no end of the war scenario, and no threat of sudden dimensional prunings.
Yes, you heard me right: this is the happiest spot the Emiya Family could get without being bothered by insane BS.
