(Authors note: i randomly came up with this last night so it's not well thought through, so any opinions and or ideas please tell me in the comments!)
Adrien never considered Chris a friend or even friendly at all, he was more like a bully. So he's not really sure why he accepted when him and his jerk friends asked him to come with them into the woods for a "stroll" maybe it's cause he threatened him that if he didn't come they would embarrass him at school. Now usually he didn't care but he had already been embarrassed enough by them and it doesn't help that a lot of the students see him as a spoiled rich kid. And what's the big deal with going on a walk.
Plus Adrien wasn't scared of going into the forest, from all the stories he's heard everyone who's gotten hurt has always been way deep in the woods.
Adrien was 17 and lived in a mid-evil town, it was actually a very pretty, and rather large town. It was located next to a large woods, the people of the town called the woods the blood-bloom forest. It's name is pretty self explanatory but the gist is if you go to far you'll probably never come out. People have tried to send rescue parties out there but most of the men didn't come back and the ones who did were terrified and or had escaped with one less limb.
The man who came back without his arm (his name is Daniel but he goes by Danny) he happened to be the serif of the town. He is a very nice guy but if you ever talk to him about the blood-bloom forest he'll tell you whatever you're planning leave the woods out of it.
There was one guy who has went into the woods multiple times. (Total opposite of Danny) He has a large scar on his face and his build is like a square, at least his upper half is. He sells fur and stuff like that to people. He tells people all these crazy stories of monster-ish creatures that are in the woods.
All the towns people have speculations about the different creatures that roamed in the woods. They come up with random creatures such as things that they call crawlers which are basically giant spider. But if you're not a crazy person you obviously know that the only things out there are bears and stuff like that.
It's not illegal to go into the woods, it's dangerous but it's legal. They put up signs at a point that tell you. "You should probably turn around now, have your picnic at the entrance of the forest." And or "don't sue us if you cross this point and don't come back, we warned you."
"We've been walking for a while don't you think it's probably a good time to call it a night?" Adrien asked awkwardly as he was basically being dragged in between two of the guys.
"Come on, it's barley dark outside don't be a party pooper." Chris said with an annoyingly happy smile.
Adrien rolled his eyes as they walked. They walked for a few more minutes and by then it was probably around 9:45 and Adrien's father had set a curfew for 10:00 so Adrien knew he needed to get home.
"Chris I really need to get going, my fathers probably getting annoyed that I haven't come home yet. Plus we're probably way to close to the signs." Adrien voice was trailing a lot more nervousness than he would have liked it to.
"First off who cares what your father thinks?!" Chris said.
"I do." Adrien mumbled.
"And second what do you mean 'way to close' we passed those signs like 20 minutes ago." Chris casually mentioned.
Adriens stopped walking causing one of the guys behind him to bump into him.
"Hey, why'd you stop idiot?!" Jack shouted.
Adrien ignored Jack and looked directly at Chris. "You're telling me this now!?" Adrien shouted. "We have to go back!"
"Chill! We're obviously not dead so the animals probably died by now." Chris stated.
Jack shoved Adrien forward causing him to stumble almost falling over.
"It's still dangerous! We should go back while we're still alive!" Adrien shouted annoyed.
"Dude lighten up!" Heinz chuckled.
Adrien just glared at him.
He turned around started to walk back. Chris yanked him back by grabbing his wrist.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"Home!" He yanked his hand back and took a step.
A loud noise echoed through the forest, it sounded slightly like a growl, or maybe something jumped.
They all stopped.
"What was that?" Jack said slightly shakily.
They all scanned the area for any signs of an animal... or creature, who knows better to be safe that sorry.
They heard another loud noise seeming to be closer this time. As Adrien turned his head he saw large glowing yellow eyes in the darkness. Adrien shakily took a step backwards.
Chris saw it to and pulled out a pocket knife with no hesitation and launched it in the detection of the glowing circles. It obviously hit because the creature made a loud growl noise and leapt towards them.
Quickly Chris shoved Adrien towards the creature as the three guys darted towards the entrance of the woods.
The creature took the bait and leapt at Adrien gripping him with large paws on his shoulders and shoved him hard against a tree.
Adrien gasped and felt as something sharp pierced his shoulders...claws?
In the moonlight Adrien could see the creature a lot better. It looked like a giant wolf, it had large fang like teeth and fluffy dark grey fur. If Adrien weren't in a life or death situation he would have hugged that thing like a soft stuffed animal.
Adrien shakily breathed as he stared at the creature in the eyes. It was terrifying. The creature growled. Adrien turned his face away placing his head on the tree. As he turned he saw the pocket knife that Chris had thrown at it. It landed in seemingly the hip area.
The creature tightened its grip as Adrien let out a small scream like gasp.
He looked past the creature for the others but they were long gone. Those jerks!
The creature opened his mouth seemingly about to bite him when it paused and turned towards a tree. Adrien was confused then heard a noise towards the way it was looking. He then saw another pair of glowing eyes, this time bright blue ones.
All Adrien thought was "well- I'm dead."
"Ein, what did you find?" A soft (but still grumbled) voice said. The second creature stepped into the moonlight. It was standing on all fours unlike the one that had Adrien pinned. It had a soft white coat of fur. It almost looked majestic. It almost distracted Adrien from the thought that "It can speak!?!"
"It's a human." The yellow eyed creature said.
It took the blue eyed one 0.2 seconds to be right next to them starring down at Adrien. He shifted away from it as it moved its head in closer.
As Adrien shifted the darker one pushed him up more against the tree... hard.
"Don't get close to it! One them stabbed me!" Supposedly Ein stated.
It shifted away slightly and looked at Ein's stab wound then back at Adrien with soft eyes.
It grabbed the pocket knife and yanked it out of Ein tossing it to the side. He yelped and dropped Adrien. Adrien quickly scooted away but bumped his back into the tree again.
"Hey!" He hollered at the white wolf.
"What!? I'm doing you a favor, if I hadn't pulled it out it would have never been pulled out." It sat down as if in triumph.
Adrien looked so confused, maybe he was dreaming?... maybe them talking is just from the blood loss. He looked down at his shoulders. He couldn't see the wounds because of his shirt but from the amount of red on his white button up it definitely didn't look good. He placed his hands on his shoulders almost as if hugging himself.
"Your highness with all due respect, don't ever do that...without warning, ever again." Ein said holding one of his paws on his side.
The wolf with blue eyes chuckled and looked back at Adrien and shoved its way in between him and Ein.
They stared at each other for what felt like a while. It slowly started to reach towards his face as Adrien flinched and dared not to move closing his eyes in the process. He didn't know what he was expecting but it definitely wasn't a soft touch to the cheek. He slowly opened his eyes. The soft fur felt very nice as it brushed against his cheek. He felt...safe..?
It blinked and smiled.
Ein moved over a grabbed Adrien by the collar pulling him away from her and into the air.
"Hey! Leave it alone!" It huffed and reached for him as Ein pulled Adrien farther away.
"No it's dangerous!"
"Does that look dangerous to you?! It's shaking!"
Ein looked at Adrien as he was holding onto his arm to help keep himself stable. Adrien was breathing awkwardly and felt really weak from the blood-loss. For a split second the wolf looked sympathetic, but it left after a few seconds.
"Please put it down..." it whispered in a soft voice.
Ein huffed and looked down for a second and slowly got down onto all fours and placed Adrien on the ground. Adrien slowly and shakily sat up. Blue eyes walked up to him and softly patted his head.
"What do expect me to do with it?" Ein asked.
It thought for a few seconds and watched Adrien carefully. Adrien knew he was definitely to weak to walk so he might die if they left him there, the white wolf could obviously tell because after a few seconds it started to pick Adrien up.
"Hey!" Ein said and grabbed Adrien into his arms instead.
"Where do you think you're going with it?" He asked annoyed.
"The hideout." It stated.
All Ein did was sigh. "Fine come on." He huffed and started walking on two legs with Adrien in his arms. Earlier when Adrien compared Ein to a stuffed animal it was an understatement, he was way softer.
The white wolf happily started trotting as it walked beside Ein.
Adrien placed his head on the creature. He felt tired so he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep as they walked.
