So...Might as well not beat around the bush unnecessarily and have the Turtles learn about the flowers now...As we shall soon see...Things still won't be as simple.
That night as Ichabod and Marzipan lay down together in the sofa bed...Marzipan asked "Do you think they'll be able to find the flowers? I mean if they're no longer in the Balkans the only place left is the Unicorns' super secret hiding place…"
"We'll be fine…" Ichabod said soothingly and he tenderly held his beloved Cat-Girl's hand "...We...Just got to have faith…"
Marzipan was amazed by how optimistic her normally worrywart boyfriend was being, was it really that he was enjoying his second chance at childhood this much?Still Marzipan couldn't get over her feeling of guilt about the fact that she had caused this in the first place!
The next day at Leo's Martial Arts School for Young Mutants, Donatello was there that day with the rest of his brothers, and all the young mutants were having trouble concentrating because they were all very sleepy.
"What the shell is wrong with you all?" Leo asked irritably "Is there a pandemic on insomnia going around?"
All the students turned and looked at Scruffles
"I"m sorry Sensei…" The Little Mutant Maltese Dog said bashfully "I invited nearly everyone to my place to see the new flowers I got for my birthday, we were up nearly all night watching them glow…"
And when he heard the word 'Glow' Don zipped over to the Little Mutant Dog so quick it nearly scared her out of her pelt!
"Glow?" Don said "Did you say glow?!"
"Er…Yes I did…" Scruffles said
"What color are they?" Don asked
"Beautiful deep red with gold stripes…" Scruffles said "...They're the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen!"
And Don started a rolling laugh that his brothers and the students thought for a moment he had gone insane!
"How did you get them?" Don asked "Because you see those flowers...Those scarlet night lilies...We need their nectar to make an antidote!"
The students gasped
"Antidote?!" Scruffles gasped "Is someone poisoned?"
"No...Not in the usual way…" Don said "...You know Ichabod and Marzipan...They were tricked into taking a Fountain of Youth Potion and currently they're stuck as eight year olds."
The Teenage Students winced at the thought of being returned to the form of eight year olds.
Scruffles merely gestured to Lovelace.
"Lovelace was the one who found the flowers and gave them to me for my birthday!"
"Where did you find them?" Don asked
The Mutant Garter Snake rubbed the back of her head with her robot hand "See, that's the tricky part...One night I was wishing I could give Scruffles the most beautiful flower in the world for her birthday and...I felt weird it felt like I was dreaming and awake at the same time I imagined I could tear a hole in the air with my metal arms...And I did...I went through the hole I made and found myself in this beautiful meadow with the glowing flowers, so I took two of them to take back with me…"
The Turtles did not have any idea how to respond to that until Mikey said
"Have you tried to get to that meadow again?"
"Yeah," Said Lovelace "Tried to tear a hold in the air again...Hasn't worked since."
Seems to be operating under Narnia rules in that you can't use the same way to get there twice, or something
