A/N: I don't own Twilight or BtVS; they are the property of Stephanie Meyers and Joss Whedon respectively. I just like to ponder what would happen if the two worlds collided.

Thank you for the reviews! To answer your question about Jasper & Willow I think they have quite a bit in common despite vastly different backgrounds.

Willow also has an attraction for partners with a supernatural twist (Oz, Tara) Yes, I realize there is also Kennedy from Season 7 but in my world the events from Season 5 onwards diverge and I haven't quite decided if we need to bring in Potentials. Yet. Who knows?

As for Jasper, I think he finds Willow to be very grounding for him. But we shall see where their story goes :) Right...where were we...ahh yes the morning after the Moonlit Vigil and Jasper realizing even more evolving changes to his vampiric nature.

Chapter 22: Pressing Needs

Morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting soft golden rays across the room, the residents of Giles's home beginning to stir from their slumber. The light painted the room in a warm, welcoming hue, the dust motes dancing lazily in the air, adding a serene, almost magical quality to the dawn's quiet.

Spike, always an early riser due to his unique circumstances, was the first to awaken. He stretched lazily in the armchair where he had spent the night, his movements fluid and cat-like. A yawn escaped him as he sat up, raking a hand through his tousled hair. The familiar surroundings, bathed in the soft glow of morning, brought a moment of peace before the day's chaos ensued.

"Mornin' all," he greeted the room at large, his voice rough with sleep.

Meanwhile, Willow emerged from her makeshift bed curled at the foot of the couch, not far from Jasper, rubbing the sleep from her eyes as she stretched her arms above her head. The morning light caressed her face, highlighting the lingering traces of fatigue from the night's vigil. "Morning, Spike," she murmured in response, her voice still heavy with grogginess.

In the kitchen, the sizzle of bacon frying on the stove filled the air, the sound a homely reminder of life's simpler pleasures. Someone—likely Xander—busied themselves with breakfast preparations, their movements creating a rhythmic cadence in the otherwise still morning. The tantalizing aroma of cooking bacon wafted through the house, a call to wakefulness that reached even Jasper, who was just beginning to stir on the couch.

With a soft groan, Jasper slowly blinked his eyes open, the morning light a gentle assault on his senses. As he became more aware of his surroundings, the delicious smell of bacon became unmistakably clear, mingling with the faint scent of coffee brewing and toast warming. His stomach rumbled in response, a reminder of his newfound hunger and the human needs that now accompanied his existence.

But as he attempted to rise from the couch, a strange sensation overwhelmed him—a pressing urgency unfamiliar yet insistent. Bewildered, Jasper glanced around the room, his eyes settling on the hall that led to the half-bath. The realization dawned on him with a mix of relief and embarrassment. He needed to relieve himself, a sensation he hadn't experienced in quite some time.

Spike, catching sight of Jasper's discomfort, couldn't resist a teasing remark. "Looks like our furry friend needs to go walkies," he quipped, a smirk playing on his lips. "Guess pets aren't housebroken in this neck of the woods."

Jasper shot Spike a wry look, a mix of amusement and exasperation in his eyes. "Very funny, Spike," he replied dryly, pushing himself off the couch with a newfound determination. "I'll just... be right back."

With that, Jasper made a beeline for the bathroom, eager to relieve himself and put an end to the discomfort. As he disappeared behind the closed door, the others in the room exchanged amused glances, chuckling at the vampire's newfound predicament.

And so, with breakfast cooking in the kitchen and Jasper attending to his pressing needs, the morning at Giles's home began in earnest, with the man himself lumbering down the stairs, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he made his way into the common area. His tousled hair and rumpled clothing attested to a less-than-restful night, but his expression was one of determination as he prepared to face the day ahead.

Giles paused in the doorway, taking in the sight of his makeshift family gathered in the living room. His gaze swept over Spike draped over the armchair, Willow tidying up the blankets from the couch, and Jasper disappearing into the bathroom with a hint of urgency.

With a weary sigh, Giles made his way over to the kitchen, where the aroma of frying bacon greeted him. He found Xander standing at the stove, flipping strips of bacon with practiced ease.

"Morning, Giles," Xander greeted, flashing a tired but friendly smile. "Breakfast will be ready soon. Just gotta make sure we're all fueled up for whatever the day throws at us."

Giles nodded in acknowledgment, pouring himself a cup of tea from the pot on the counter. As he took a sip and meandered back to his desk to enjoy his Earl Grey.

Spike's voice cut through the air with a mischievous edge. "Oi, Watcher," he called out, "you sure the new pet's housebroken?"

Giles rolled his eyes at the vampire's jest, his lips quirking into a wry smile. "I'm quite certain Jasper doesn't require housebreaking, Spike," he retorted, taking another sip of his tea.

Spike chuckled at Giles's response, his blue eyes twinkling with amusement. "You sure about that Watcher, where do you think Mr. Marble was running off to just now?"

Giles furrowed his brow in confusion, setting down his tea with a puzzled expression. "Housebroken?" he echoed, glancing at Spike with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. "What on earth do you mean?"

Spike smirked, clearly enjoying the opportunity to tease the elder man. " Don't want any accidents on the carpet." he quipped, his tone laced with amusement, earning a playful swat from Willow in response.

Giles's confusion only deepened at Spike's cryptic response. "Accidents?" he repeated, his mind racing to make sense of Spike's words. "I fail to see how Jasper's personal habits are any concern of yours, Spike."

Sensing Jasper's unease, Giles turned his attention to the younger vampire, concern etched into his features. "Jasper, are you alright?" he inquired, noting the vampire's troubled expression.

Jasper blinked, momentarily taken aback by the sudden attention. "Uh, yes, Giles, I'm fine," he replied, his voice tinged with a hint of embarrassment. "Just... adjusting to... things." With that he retreated back to the bathroom.

Giles nodded in understanding, though he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Jasper's discomfort than he was letting on. Settling once more into his seat at his desk, savouring the warmth of his tea, Xander's voice cut through the air with a determined tone. "Hey, guys," he began, "we can't just ignore the fact that Jasper's still adjusting to our... lifestyle."

Giles looked up, raising an eyebrow at Xander's sudden seriousness. "What do you propose, Xander?" he inquired, setting down his tea and giving the younger man his full attention.

Xander shrugged, his expression thoughtful. "Well, for starters, maybe we should talk about... uh, Jasper's pressing needs," he suggested, his cheeks flushing slightly at the awkwardness of the topic.

Willow nodded in agreement, chiming in with her own thoughts. "Yeah, like, maybe we should make sure he's comfortable and, you know, settling in okay," she added, glancing around at the others.

Spike raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips. "Oh, you mean like making sure he knows what toilet paper is for, how he shouldn't leave the seat up" he teased, unable to resist the opportunity for a jest.

Xander rolled his eyes, shooting Spike a reproachful look. "Ha ha, very funny, Spike," he retorted, his tone tinged with sarcasm. "But seriously, guys, Jasper's still getting used to all of this. We should be helping him out."

Giles nodded in agreement, impressed by Xander's unexpected maturity. "You're right, Xander," he acknowledged, offering the younger man a grateful smile. "We can't overlook Jasper's needs, especially during this transition period."
