Hello and Welcome to the final chapter in Hazbin Potluck! Today is the day that the group shares what they made. This will be interesting to see how it all turned out and how they feel about it. I do not own Hazbin Hotel or the characters. They belong to Vivzepop. Enjoy!

Chapter 10: Dinnertime

After everyone got cleaned up, they met back in the dining room. "Babe, you didn't have to go all out for this." Vaggie said when she saw how nice the table was set. "I know, but this is important." Charlie told her as the others came in. They were surprised to see the table too. "If I knew that this was going to be fancy, I would've taken the time to properly get ready." Angel said, looking over the table. "I just wanted to make it looked nice. Besides, if this works, then I think I might make it a permanent thing." Charlie said. She was hoping with all her heart that it would work and not make any of them upset.

After the others came in and had the same reactions as Vaggie and Angel, they all sat down. "Alright babe, so how is this going to go?" Vaggie asked, watching Charlie bounce. "Alright, so one at a time, everyone will pass around their dish and we will take some. Then, you will explain what it is and when you learned it and the good memory that went with it." Charlie said. "So, who wants to go first?" Charlie looked around at the others, hoping that she didn't have to pick.

"I'll go first babe." Vaggie said, smiling. Vaggie grabbed her plate of Pupusas and passed them around the table. "So, this dish is called Pupusas. It's a Salvadorian dish that I had learned when I was alive. This recipe is a family recipe that is handed down from mother to daughter in my family." Vaggie started as she watched the others start eating on them. "The only time we would have these would be for family celebrations, so it was always special when my Abula made them. She would always say, "don't forget to add a touch of love". The last time I had made these was when I turned 21 and learned the recipe. It wasn't long after that I had died." Vaggie said, looking down at her plate. "Aw Vaggie." Charlie said, giving her a hug. "Well toots, you can taste the love in these. They are good." Angel said. "Indeed, this is very good." Alastor added.

"Alright, now who's next?" Charlie asked. "I will go next." Sir Pentious said, standing up and going around, spooning out his dish. "Now, this dish isss called Devonshire Squab Pie. The interesting fact is that there is no squab in the pie at all. The meat is mutton." Sir Pentious said after sitting back down. "And when did you learn this?" Charlie asked, taking a bit. "It was during the time of her Majesty, Queen Victoria. Wonderful lady she was." Sir Pentious said. "Ok, and who did you learn this from?" Charlie asked again. "My wonderful mother taught me this recipe. We didn't always have what we needed when I was alive, but it was more important to her that I made a name for myself. She always took an interest in my inventions. I was going to showcase them at the Great Exihibtion if it wasn't for the landlord." Sir Pentious said before sitting back down. "Wow, I didn't know that you could cook like this Pen." Charlie said. "Yeah, this is good." Niffty said.

"I'll go next Charlie." Angel said, standing up and passing around his dish. "This is called Peperonata with Cuttlefish and Oregeno." Angel said as he watched the others take some. He saw that Husk took a little extra cuttlefish before grinning. "My Nonna made the best Peperonata that Italy had ever seen." Angel said as he got some himself. "Every summer, we would go to Italy and visit Nonna and she would make this dish for us. It Niss and my job of getting the cuttlefish while my sister helped with the vegetables. Niss always managed to fall into the bay and Nonna would have a fit." Angel said, laughing. The others laughed with him, thinking that it was funny too. "Nonna was the only one that was ok with who I was, which is saying something for 40's, but she was one of the best of my family, other than my sister of course." Angel said, looking down at his plate. "Oh Angel, she sounds like a wonderful woman." Charlie said, getting up and going to hug him. "If you get redeemed, then I hope that you'll get to see her and make this with her."

After Charlie sat back down, Niffty jumped up. "Oh, my turn now!" she said as she carefully passed her dish around. "This is Omurice with chicken rice." Niffty announced. "Wow Niffty, this is cool looking. And you even drew little designs on it?" Vaggie asked, looking at hers. Husk looked down at his plate, seeing that she had drawn a card on it. He knew that Niffty was prone to doing something like this when she put her mind to it. "It was my father's recipe. I would always help him with making it. The best part is flip the egg over onto the rice. And when you cut it open like this" Niffty said, slicing hers down the middle, "it looks like guts spilling." She laughed. The others looked at her before trying it themselves. "So you used to make this with your dad?" Charlie asked. "Yeah, it was always a great honor to help him make it." Niffty said, looking down at her plate. "I'm sure that you are bringing him honor by sharing this delightful dish with us Niffty dear." Alastor told her. "Really Mr. Alastor? You think so?" she asked.

The others watched the two, surprised to learn something about Niffty. "Well, this tastes good Niffty." Husk said, before he got up to share his dish. "So, this recipe is called Porcupine Meatballs. And no Angel, they didn't come from actual porcupines." Husk said. "My aunt used to make this dish for Ma and me when I was kid. She used to help Ma a lot since she worked in the casinos. They were always busy, and ma didn't have much time." Husk said after everyone had gotten some. "Really?" Angel asked, interested. "Yeah, it was because of them that I developed a love for magic and cards. I used to be quite good." Husk said, looking down. "Well, all good things must come to an end sometime, Husker." Alastor said. "Whatever boss." Husk replied, bristling a little. "Well, I think it would be nice to see some of your magic tricks Husk." Charlie said, hoping to make the cat feel better. "Maybe." Husk said.

Charlie was surprised at how everything tasted so good. She was also surprised to learn some new things about everyone. She was very excited that her exercise was turning out so well. "Alright, so the last dish that needs to be shared is yours Alastor. What did you make?" Charlie asked, looking at the pot. "This is my dear mother's Chicken and Sausage Gumbo." Alastor said as everyone got a bowl full. This delightful dish comes from New Orleans, and it is usually served once the first cold snap has happened in Louisiana." Alastor said. "Really? Why not have it year-round?" Charlie asked. "Louisiana is hot my dear. Not as hot as hell of course, but the humidity there makes it hot during the summertime and depending on the spice level you put into gumbo, it can make you miserable." Alastor answered with a grin. "Alright, so what happy memory do you have about this?" Charlie asked. The others listened, curious about what he was going to say. "Well, this dish was made when I had won an award for the radio station I used to work at. It made mother very proud. So, she used it as an excuse to have a little celebration." Alastor told them. "Really? I bet you worked hard at it." Niffty said as she took another bite. "Yes indeed. Back then people were not all friendly to each other, so any kind of achievement that I had made was a celebration for her." Alastor said.

"Well, this is very good. She must've been quite the cook to be able to come up with this." Charlie said, smiling as she finished her bowl. She looked around to see everyone happy and talking and getting along. She was afraid at first on how everyone would react to having to share about the dishes that they had made and the memories that may have been associated with those dishes, but she was glad that didn't have anything to fear at all.

"Now that we have all enjoyed dinner, it's time for dessert." Charlie said, clapping her hands. All the dirty dishes disappeared and covered plates appeared in front of everyone. "Now this dessert is different than what you would expect. But know that it comes from the heart." Charlie said. "What kind of dessert is it toots?" Angel asked curiously. "You'll see. Open them in 3,2,1, now!" Charlie said as the others opened their desserts. On each plate was a dessert that Charlie had made for each resident. They also saw that the desserts were different too.

"Charlie, what is thisss?" Sir. Pentious asked, looking at the gingerbread cake on his plate. "Well, I may have kinda looked into what each recipe you guys have made." Charlie said before seeing the glares. "But only enough to see what kind of recipe it was. Then I made the dessert that would go good with your dishes." "Really?" Husk asked, surprised. "Yeah, I just wanted to do something nice for you all since you all had been so helpful." Charlie said, still smiling. "Well, these look good babe. And it's the thought that counts right?" Vaggie said, hugging Charlie.

"Yes, it is the thought that counts. This is very thoughtful of you Charlie dear." Alastor added. "Can't be mad at you for this. Just ask us next time, ok?" Husk said, going to take a bite of his dessert. He was surprised to taste the rum in the cake that Charlie had made for him. "Yeah, these look really good." Niffty said, picking up her dessert. Charlie noticed that she had stuck some in her pockets and smiled, glad that she made extra. "These tastes actually good." Angel said, taking a bite of his. "You did well Charlie. Well done indeed." Alastor added, having eaten a few of his. "I'm glad that everyone liked it. And how are we feeling about each other?" Charlie asked, looking around the table.

"I'm feeling better now. Listen, sorry about earlier." Angel said to everyone, smiling. "Yeah, I'm sorry too." Sir. Pentious added. "Alright. So, if this happens again, try talking it out instead of plotting everyone's demise, ok?" Charlie asked. "After hearing a chorus of oks, Charlie smiled. "Well Charlie, you forgot about your dessert." Vaggie said, getting up to grab one more plate. "What?" Charlie asked surprised. Vaggie didn't say anything and opened the plate to show Charlie a slice of apple pie with ice cream next to it. "Aw you guys." Charlie said, smiling as she took a bite. And then she knew, food can always make her rag tag family feel better.
