AN: This chapter is going to be full of info dump. So you have been warned. Also, this second chapter will show another overpowered moment for Taylor. Please don't complain to me afterwards about it. You have already been warned. If you don't like it, then you are free to stop reading and move on. Like I said before, this fic is self-indulgent and a complete power wank. I just love extremely overpowered characters.
*You have slept in a bed. Your body has fully recovered from the previous day's ordeal.*
These words are the first thing that Taylor Hebert sees the moment she wakes up. A bluish translucent screen like she is truly living in a game. Well, she probably is after remembering what she dreamt that night.
Or was it really a dream?
The Random Omniscient Being in the dream told her that they are sending her back to the past to do it all over again but providing her with a lot of parting gifts, like the Celestial Console Command, which allows her to do a lot of things.
Another screen pops up in front of her before she can decide to do anything else.
.
*You are currently in the World of 'Worm by Wildbow'. Do you want to choose the level of difficulty for this world?*
YES or NO
.
"World of Worm by Wildbow? What does that even mean?" She mutters to herself for a moment before realization slowly dawns on her. " The R.O.B mentioned that the Multiverse includes fictional worlds. So does this mean that this world is a fictional world considered by others from a different universe? And this Wildbow person is the one who created the World of Worm?"
A long moment passes as Taylor considers the ramifications of this new discovery. She is certain that her new found knowledge holds true. She really is living in a world considered as fiction by others in the Multiverse.
That's quite reality-shattering…She ruminates. I also wonder what truly happens in the World of Worm…Does it focus on me as one of the main characters and follow my exploits until Gold Morning? Or am I only a side character or even a nobody? Hmn…Perhaps I better ask the R.O.B next time when I see him again…
Afterward, she decides to pick 'YES' on the screen and watches as she is given some options.
.
CHOOSE A LEVEL:
EASY
NORMAL
HARD
HELLISH
.
Without even hesitating, she chooses the 'NORMAL' option and watches as the words on the screen change.
.
*You have chosen the NORMAL level. Next, please select the Player Mode.*
SELECT:
SINGLE PLAYER
MULTIPLE PLAYER
.
Of course, Taylor selects the 'SINGLE PLAYER'. Since she no longer has any friends. So why would she choose 'MULTIPLE PLAYER'?
Also, she can't let her dad know about her new power. Not just yet. Hence, she dismisses the second option. Maybe if she has someone she can trust in the future, then she can choose the 'MULTIPLE PLAYER' mode by then.
A different question appears after her selection.
.
*Do you want to save this moment as a Starting Point before you begin the game?*
YES or NO
(i)
.
Taylor sees the (i) button at the bottom, which she assumes to be additional information. She mentally clicks on it and watches as a second small pop up appears beside the large screen.
(i) [Once a moment is saved, the player is able to come back to that moment once they die or when they choose to come back to it anytime they wish.]
She clicks on the (i) button again and notes the way the second screen shrinks and disappears.
Afterward, Taylor picks 'YES' and watches as new words appear on the screen.
.
*You have saved a Starting Point (on April 11, 2011; 6:20 am at Hebert's Residence). Do you want to proceed to the game?*
YES or NO
.
She chooses 'YES' once more.
LOADING GAME. PLEASE WAIT A MOMENT.
LOADING…
As Taylor waits, she finally notices the state of her surroundings. It looks grayed out and appears to be frozen in time. She understands the reason behind it. It's similar to any video games.
LOADING SUCCESSFUL.
STARTING GAME
The moment she reads the words, Taylor watches as color bleeds back into what appeared to be her old room while time also unfreezes.
It looks like it wasn't a dream after all…I'm really back in the past. She thinks as she looks around her old bedroom. Well, I better learn how to use my new powers now that I am here.
She immediately notes the Date and Time on her Gamer heads up display or HUD, which is placed at the upper right portion of her viewpoint.
.
APRIL 11, 2011
MONDAY
6:20 AM
.
Apart from that, she sees the map on the lower left side of her HUD. It shows a glowing blue dot, which probably denotes her current location.
"That's convenient," She mumbles. "Now, what do I do to start with?"
As if reading her thoughts, a screen pops up again in front of her. It seems that her Gamer power is user friendly and intuitive.
.
*Do you want to explore the Main Menu for better understanding of the Gamer System?*
YES or NO
.
'YES', is her pick.
OPENING MAIN MENU…
Once more, the world freezes as the words appear before her.
Tabs begin to load on the screen that she can only see.

Afterward, Taylor finishes reading her [CHARACTER STATUS] and she understands most of it, except for some of the 'PERKS', and the words 'BONDS' and 'DOMAINS'.
Meanwhile, she somewhat understands what 'CHARACTER ASSIMILATION' means. The R.O.B mentioned to her that she can assimilate the abilities or powers from anyone of the Celestial Collective. 'Fully Assimilated' probably means she has assimilated the powers completely while 'In Progress' means she is still in the process of assimilating them.
And when Taylor presses the (i) below both, she soon learns that she is right. Although it also explains that she won't be able to summon characters that she has 'Fully Assimilated' already.
Once understanding that, she mentally presses on the (i) button under 'PERKS', 'BONDS' and 'DOMAINS', where she soon learns what they mean.
She obviously knows what the THINKER BLINDSPOT perk is. It probably means that every thinker in her world can't use their power on her. Even people like Contessa and Coil. And hopefully the Simurgh as well.
If she doesn't have this perk, then she will be dead before the day is out, courtesy of Contessa if Cauldron considers her as a threat. Taylor can't help but feel really grateful to the R.O.B for giving her this perk and clicking on the (i)nformation only proves her suspicion. Yes, every thinker in her world – and even the Multiverse – won't be able to use their powers on her willy-nilly. Well, not anymore.
That's such a relief! No one can read or predict me anymore! She inwardly rejoices. I'm a huge blind spot to those damn thinkers, even to Lisa! Ha! I will probably drive Lisa mad if she won't be able to guess what I'm thinking! Ahaha…
After chuckling to herself, Taylor proceeds to learn the rest of the 'PERKS'.
She tries to understand the SANCTITY OF MIND and reads the information about it.
SANCTITY OF MIND PERK - You are absolutely protected from any and all things that would directly affect your mind, emotions, and senses. There is nothing that can influence your mind ranging from hypnotic technology to memetic hazards. This also applies to your digital mind should you have one. You are immune to viruses, subversion, and hacking. With your permission, you can allow things to influence you.
"Ohhh…that's a good one too!" She exclaims with relief.
She is glad to have a perk like SANCTITY OF MIND. Otherwise, people with Master powers would have a go at all the potential powers within her grasp. If she doesn't have this perk, for sure she will become a puppet to a Master, who will use her to achieve their own ends.
TRUMPED THE TRUMP, on the other hand, is described as this: 'Any powers and internal power supplies you possess cannot be drained, suppressed, weakened, stolen, copied, altered, controlled, reproduced, or otherwise manipulated against your will. Unless you will it to be otherwise, Trump powers do not work on you. You could even block certain aspects of power influencing you. Such as being given power and not being Mastered through it. You can be Mastered into consenting to a Trump working on you if you're not immune. Paragon powers can trump this immunity under certain circumstances (specified in the power's description).'
It's another perk that will be great for her in the long run. Just imagine the apocalyptic events that will happen after her power is stolen, copied or controlled by anyone. Trying to stop the person from using the powers for nefarious reasons will be a complete nightmare for her or anyone involved.
Then, there is the MULTIVERSAL CITIZENSHIP, which will give her a legal identity anywhere in the Multiverse that she travels to. She can also choose to customize this legal identity within reason, like making herself a student at Hogwarts if she goes to the Harry Potter world.
Apart from that, the BONDS determines the summoned characters or creatures closeness to her or any familiars she takes. There are levels to the closeness. Level 10 is the highest but more levels can be added as the summons grow even closer to her.
Meanwhile, DOMAINS are territories she controls or governs. Either conquered lands or inherited. If she continues to become more powerful in the future, she might be able to wrestle some territories from evil dictators of other worlds or she can use her MULTIVERSAL CITIZENSHIP to customize her legal identity in certain worlds, like becoming an heiress or something.
"Taylor Hebert the Conquering Queen has a nice ring to it…I might even follow it through in the future…" She says in amusement.
Thereafter, Taylor opens the [WORLDS] tab next and watches as a short list appears on her screen.
[WORLDS]
Anime and Manga
Books and Literature
Cartoons, Comics and Graphic Novels
Movies
TV Shows
Video Games
Others
(i)
After reading the list before her, Taylor becomes outright puzzled.
"Why are there only fictional worlds listed here?" She wonders out loud. "Does this mean that all the worlds in the grand Multiverse are the product of someone's imagination? Or are these people seers that they are able to see anything that happens in other worlds and as a result created something out of it? And how can someone really tell from the real world and the fictional? Or are all these worlds just as real to those who are living there despite being considered as fictional by the rest of the Multiverse?"
Taylor sighs next when her mind runs wild with these recent findings.
The only being who can answer these questions is the R.O.B…and I don't know when I'm going to see them again. She thinks. I might as well explore more of the gifts given to me rather than question everything that this new Gamer power throws at me.
She moves on and picks one of the choices, which is the 'Anime and Manga' option. The moment she mentally chooses it, a really long drop-down list appears below the word 'Anime and Manga'.

The list goes on from A to Z and Taylor's eyes lock on the 'Boku no Hero Academia' option. She has read some of the unfinished manga and she wonders what kind of options will appear if she clicks on the title of the popular manga from Earth Aleph. She mentally curbs her expectation and clicks on it.
New words immediately appear before her.

After reading the words on the screen, a sudden idea strikes Taylor like a freight train and she can't help but follow through it.
Does the list of worlds include my own world? If I do find my world in the list, can I really change something in my world? She thinks excitedly.
Thereafter, she sees the search bar in the tab and uses it to look for 'Worm by Wildbow'. She waits as the results extrapolate. She doesn't need to wait long as something appears on the screen.

"Wow! That's a lot of things! With these options, I can help a lot of people!" Taylor says excitedly after reading the entire thing on the lists. "But the only thing available at the moment is the 'Humanization'...Should I try it? Errr..."
After thinking it through for a few minutes, she wants to go for it, which means turning one of the Case 53's into a human again. So she will try that first and see how the Protectorate - or even the world - will react to it before doing anything else.
"But who should I choose for this effect?" She asks herself uncertainly. "If I go with this, I need someone who is a good person and who is quite popular with the people. They must be a hero too... Maybe Weld? Hmn...Yes, I think he is a good first choice."
She decides to choose Weld as her first subject since he is one of the most popular Case 53 heroes out there.
Taylor clicks on the name 'Weld' from the list under the 'Humanization' option. A question shortly appears soon after.
.
*Do you want to fully use 'The Celestials' for the Humanization of {Weld}?*
YES or NO
.
Taylor chooses 'YES'.
.
*You have chosen to proceed with the Humanization of {Weld}. Please follow the instructions after this.*
.
She waits for the instruction to appear.
"Is turning Weld into human again a good idea?..." She mumbles. "I desperately hopes so..."
And I am doing something good. Hopefully this decision won't come back and bite me in the ass. She thinks next.
Her attention returns back to the screen as instructions appear in front of her.
.
Instructions:
1. Open the Console Window by speaking or thinking 'Console Window'.
2. Express this command in the window 'open_worldworm_exe'
3. Then, input this 'add_effect = humanization {Weld}'
4. Wait for the word 'effect_added' to appear on the window before closing the Console Window.
5. Once done, the command will take effect immediately. You will also be provided with an option to notify the affected person of your involvement afterward.
.
Taylor follows the entire instruction to the letter and is somewhat glad to see the next question make its presence known through the screen.
.
*You have successfully added theHumanization effect to {Weld}. Do you want to notify and explain to the affected person of your involvement in their Humanization?*

.
Taylor bites her lower lip as she tries to decide what to do. Should she notify Weld and explain everything about her involvement or not?
She is quite uncertain about this.
AN: So what do you think of the chapter? I know nothing really happened in this chapter but I still hope you find it interesting. Anyway, should Taylor let Weld know of her involvement? Apart from that, do you have any suggestions for the rest of it? Also, I had trouble naming the Case 53 characters. And if you want me to change some of the names, please leave a comment. Other than that, I use the AO3 fandom lists for this chapter. I only choose the fandoms that have 400 works to add to the 'Anime and Manga' list. You can also check out my other fic with the same idea but set in the HP world. Its called 'The Celestial Witch'.
