Chapter 15

Janet was placed in the local high school under the name "Mrs. Frasier" and the cover of a recently widowed teacher with two teens. She choose to teach science as part of her cover in hopes of finding the aliens who gave her old high teacher the super suit and then wiped everyone's memory including her own. She didn't like being subjected to an unknown alien presence that had such power over an entire planet. She wasn't sure who the aliens were but it was diabolical in her opinion.

She drove a white painted minivan with brown fake wood accents in the side. A style that was very popular back in the day. Sitting beside her was Jon and Cassie in the smaller first row seat of the van.

Jon complained. "I can't believe I have to use your last name, Frasier."

She laughed to herself. "I think Jon Frasier is a nice sounding, all American name."

"O'Neill isn't American." he reminded her. "It's Irish."

Cassie told him. "I looked up the meaning of the name Frasier and it's French. Originally, a strawberry. In English, a man of the forest."

"Strawberry?" Jon cranked his head and looked at Cassie behind him.

She nodded amused.

He looked at Janet's red hair. "Hmm…" he found it ironic. He sat back in the seat. "Okay, Frasier. Brief me on the school. What are the student groups? Who are the popular kids. Who is who?"

She recalled. "There were a few groups and a few students do stick out for me. Anthony was the nerd who was really into computers. There was a computer lab group. There was a group of karate kids in the school. The leader, Johnny liked to bully some of the kids. They all attended to same school located in a local mall. I never really got to know them very well. I had a few friends when I was in school. I never really fit in with any groups. I had the reading issue that Mr. Hinckley helped me overcome. I was friends with Sam Baker. She was friends with Anthony and I remember she dated a high school senior for a short time. He graduated, went to college. Last I heard of him. I remember he was rich and had this red sports car. I was also friends with Ali Mills. She was dating a kid named Daniel who also knew karate and beat Johnny and the little school in the mall closed down after that. Daniel then went to Japan or something. Not sure what became of him."

"What about Mr. Hinckley's students?" he asked knowing he was to be sent into the class.

"Tony became a mechanic. Rhonda became a nurse. They broke up. Karl got a factory job and Jose went on to do farm work." she stated. "Me and Rhonda are the only two who did go to college. Rhoda did get her RN, which is real good." Janet recalled.

Jon stated, "Carter said she thought Tony would make a good pilot and could easily become an officer."

"He could." she agreed. "He didn't though. I wonder if the aliens had not wiped out all our memories if maybe, he could have done that."

"Maybe." Jon shrugged.

They pulled into the parking lot. Jon spotted Tony's mustang. As they passed he eyed the car. "Now that is a Mustang." he cheered. "They don't make them like they use to."

"That's Tony's car." she told him.

"Nice car." he nodded impressed.

Meanwhile

Colonel Hammond called a meeting with the crew of Airwolf, Michael Coldsmith-Briggs the Third, Marella, Michael Knight, Bonnie Barstow, Devon Miles, Dr. Quincy, Professor Langford, Catherine Langford, Dr. Earnest Littlefield, Colonel Jack O'Neill and Teal'c. He stood before his audience in the briefing room. He had a full house and yet three key people were currently absent from the meeting.

"I have called this meeting to inform you that I have pulled a few strings and have a friend of mine coming in to help us." Hammond smiled rather pleased with himself.

Jack asked. "Who?"

"A Retried Air Force Colonel, former NASA astronaut." he beamed. "Colonel Steve Austin." He paused as there was far more to disclose.

Jack asked, "Who?"

Hammond confessed. "I was hoping I would have brought him into Star Gate Command. I guess I never did judging by your reaction, Colonel."

Archangel spoke. "The bionic program."

"Indeed." Hammond gave a nod.

"Bi what?" Jack was at a lost.

Hammond disclosed. "Ten years ago, in a joint effort with the CIA, the DOD, and the US Air Force and NASA, we launched a experimental program. Bionics! An advanced artificial limb program. We needed a test subject. Colonel Austin was severely wounded during a NASA test flight. He lost both legs, his right arm and his right eye. The experiment was classified and is referred unofficially as the 'Six Million Dollar Man' experiment. The artificial limbs allow Colonel Austin to jump higher, run faster, see further and have the equivalent of super strength. Since we are dealing with an unknown alien element who gifted a super suit to a civilian for unknown reasons, I think it might be prudent to bring in our own…super man." He then added, "And his wife, Jamie Sommers. She also received bionics." He then added as an afterthought. "We listed her file under the 'Bionic Woman'."

"Wait!" Jack held up a hand. "You got a husband and wife team who have these super bionics out there?"

He blushed, "We do."

"Why didn't you tell us this before?" Jack wondered.

"I'm not sure." he admitted. "Colonel Austin would be a significant asset to the mini gate program."

Jack had to ask. "Any other top secret bionic programs we don't know about?"

"Not that you need to be aware of, Colonel." Hammond replied with a bit of a smirk.

Jack rolled his eyes for he knew Hammond would not say regardless.

Marella asked. "What bionics did the wife receive?"

"Both legs, her right arm and her right ear." he replied. "She was wounded in a sky diving accident. She's a teacher. Not Air Force. But she has helped out the office in charge of the bionic program."

Marella asked, "Maybe we can send her into the school to assist keeping an eye on Mr. Hinckley."

"That is a possibility." Hammond stated. "They should be arriving any moment now." he glanced at his wrist watch.

Jack asked "So…what do we do with this guy?"

"You will find Colonel Austin is very resourceful." Hammond stated.

A uniformed security guard escorted two new faces to the briefing room. The young man called at the door. "Colonel Hammond."

Hammond looked to the door. "Yes."

"A Colonel Austin and his wife are here." he stated.

"Show them in." he instructed.

The guard stepped aside and motioned. "In there."

Through the threshold entered a tall man, with short brown hair, light blue eyes and stern jaw and rounded face. He was a good looking man, sporting a leather jacket, tan cargo pants, a blue shirt and brown boots. Behind him was a tall blonde haired woman with fine features and lightly applied makeup. Her long hair was placed in a pony tail. She wore blue jeans, a white blouse, a blue denim jacket and boots as well. She carried a hobo style bag over her shoulders.

Colonel Steve Austin looked upon his old Air Force buddy. "Good to see you, George." He held out a hand and walked towards him.

George Hammond shook his hand as a wide grin crept across his face. "Steve!" he shook hands and then gave the man a hug. "Jamie." he embraced her next.

"Hi George." She gave him a warm smile and an embrace.

"So, what's all the secrecy about, George?" Steve asked. He noticed there was a large audience.

Hammond stated pleased. "I got you that offer you can't refuse, Steve."

"I'm retired, George." he reminded him. "My wife and I are both retired. No more spy stuff. No more top secret missions. No more third world dictators. We're retired now."

"How would you like to go to another planet?" he asked him knowing. "Not orbit. Not the moon. Not even Mars. Actual other planets."

He nearly chuckled. "You got a secret space program going, George?"

Hammond looked much like a cat that just ate a canary.

"Wait!" Steve was taken back. "Ships?"

Jack stated. "Not yet! We got a mini gate."

He paused and looked at Jack who wore green battle dress with no rank or any insignia. "A what…mister?"

"That's Colonel O'Neill. US Air Force." he stated.

Jack came forward. "You got a robot arm?" he looked the man over.

"Bionic arm." he nodded.

Jack wondered. "What can you do with it?"

Steve glanced at Hammond for a moment.

George stated, "Why not demonstrate on that chair, Steve."

He spied the metal chair with the metal back. He walked over to the chair, placed his right hand on the top and pushed down. The chair folded as if it was a child's toy.

George smirked at Jack. "Questions Colonel?"

Jack stood wide eyed, "No." he shook his head. He looked at Teal'c. "This guy is cool. Think we can get him on SG-1?"

Teal'c stood with a cocked eyebrow.

Steve asked. "S.G. what?"
