Ami had no idea how to interoperate the new boy. He'd swapped ages to fit the profile of a student. Head up, ears back, Kaede did her personal best to get Eiji to spill the beans to her.

"I'm going to teach her to fight this new enemy, back off."

"No, Ami – chan has enough teachers."

"Not enough, not if the spider thinks she could be their next ticket to freedom like your buddy, Raku."

The poor news had come when Lisa and Aiden had popped through a portal to Shoji's office, where Anna and Slade with Rose had been conveniently making up plans to keep the mutt out of high waters.

"Yes, can I help you?"

"Anna…Look, we are going to talk. Raku, it's too late. We saw Ageha abduct him. He's going to be back; I can feel it."

"You have that connection with him, as a contract –

"He did." Slade huffed. "You never let him off the hook, it might be an easier hunt than we anticipated. Shoji?"

"You are, right." Shoji leaned into his hands and with interwoven fingers, he listened closer this time. Anna stayed out of it, as did Rose. Minus the portal blowing her mind. "Raku, he's that kid we saw with the long warrior's tail and white top. Seventeen, about right?" Rose asked her guests.

"He's a half jinni and demi god of chaos and order. And if you lose sight of that, well…"

"He's the son of a god of hidden records of time and manifestation." Shoji corrected Anna. "And he also holds the owl totem of wisdom from Athena since earning her post for the future. He was at university in London apart from his agreement and was subdued by the spider's lackey, Ageha at exactly four pm. After class had let out. He was not heard from until a night later where John's team told me he showed up at an underground Rock performance as the lead singer. Lisa, you were up on stage. What happened?"

"How does….Did Hakuro –

"He reported it to Lady Isa, and that eventually got to my ears. He's a gate keeper first and a spy, second. As is Lisa. She input the rest."

Aiden stepped away from the brunette rock star. "You….did this without us? I thought you wanted to help save him, not report to your boss that he's dangerous –

"He's a victim too, Aiden….but the gods need to take precaution."

"That, and Raku already tried numerous times to prove that he could overturn order on this plane. Didn't he." Slade said dryly.

"Sure, but he's in a crisis. He has a fear of women that resemble Liltih. It's still not something he's gotten over –

"Because, he may not want to forget."

"What?" Anna pushed herself up. "He's not a victim, he is! Slade, that is so –

"A mother's embrace was what he lost, and to gain it back, even if it means getting mentally screwed sideways. That boy is just going to have to remember what he's no longer. Roku didn't allow it, but he did. He felt insecure with women like Lori that never fought back. Alice, Veronica. Anyone he could subdue in the same manner, but Astarte. Lilith? Isa? Even Cecilia and Catherine."

"Too strong, so he cowered." Lisa gulped.

"What does that have to do with his PTSD?"

"Regression. He chose to be taken back in order to put himself in a "safe space." Even if he fights it, he longs for that time he lost and didn't he have a crush on you once?"

"He…. I told him no. He should have –

"A part of that clingy brat WANTS to forget." Slade drove on, peg after peg as he squinted at Aiden. "Ageha found one weakness, that he was not of age, that he was not heterosexual, that he was no better than Cecelia is to Alicia today. I know, we were still in connection for a time before I cut her free."

"What…I remember. She trusted you. You saved –

"Anyhow, Aiden? It is up to you to say what you can but I think, that the fear and insecurities of a child are being used in a way to make us believe he has forgotten. Raku deep down, still wants his "sun" back. Just as the eclipse would overlap."

Lisa put her hands to her face and blushed. "Wh….is that true?? He has a crush and you said –

"He's my family…and he needed that more than he needed me then…to connect against what I wanted. And I don't care about him in that way!" Aiden rebuked. "I'll talk to him, get Ageha to stop weaseling like that so he can become a guardian, get better."

"Hah."

Shoji blinked up at Rose as she finally had something to add. "Fix him? Is he really as bad as you think? No wonder he's hurt right now! You blueprinted from start to finish what to do to make him a normal guy like you. Even if you forget what he is, how hurt he was in the past, he's not FROM you time! He's a person now, he has feelings and if he can't find out how to express them, of COURSE he blows up on us! He's a damned teenager trying to be an adult too quickly to satisfy YOUR needs!" Barked the assassin.

"Right, she's absolutely right."

"Wait a sec! You think I made him…I asked him what he wanted, he wanted –

"No, he wanted us to be happy. As his charges and our, kids. And so on." Anna swallowed. "Aiden, you never gave him a chance to really think it over, because he was stuck on you too much. You could have asked him to wait, to get out there and take his time growing but now? Now, he thinks that if he can't meet the expectorations of his "saviors," it's all over."

"It is the same thing Lilith did…. now we know, unreachable expectations."

"No! Wait, I can –

"Shoji, can we jump in on this? I can dress as a student if it is in the job description. So can shrimp Anna."

"What? No, I –

"We'll leave that to later." Slade crossed his arms and looked at Aiden with his head down, fists clenched like his father used to do. "Will you take charge of this, both of you? Respectfully, this time?" Slade asked both fox and boy.

"Or will the Defiance troupe have to step in to finish the job, you could never."

Ami went back that next afternoon to their school in Osaka at Mount Kongo. The large reserved features kept the school hidden as Eiji was told to blindfold bur didn't. "I got here before. Unless one of you can erase my memory of tracking you down the first visit." He grinned, making Aya bristle as she stayed as a grasshopper on Iyori's shoulder for a few hours longer.

"Tokyo…. I know that we used to stay here when Shoji was still my guardian. Now, Yumi practically houses all of our needs – but she's getting married once the silly gods…" Ami looked to see Iyori fiddling with a worn cuff of her kimono. She then huffed, clapping her hands as Saturday appeared. No one else saw, as if she had a force field and was perfectly capable of not making much trouble.

"Saturday; mend this."

He had himself thread and a needle, as now onto one knee, he did her bidding with a poker face. Aya huffed and curled up to rest her heart and head. Kaede watched and wondered why this thing was a Djinn butler at all. "My lady could never ever, turn heads you know. You are a blossom in the heart of winter than everyone pines to know." He set her arm down as she nodded, not caring for his words as much Kaede had caught on it. Haru slept on Ami's arm while Jackie and Dick…. decided to take a different route to the school. On their own.

"Your credentials looked…promising. You said your name was –

"Shihara Youko." The woman was a sure shot for professor here. She even came with a fresh set of lenses to survey the space. Brown, for now. Long dark hair in a pencil black skirt and button-down blouse. She was just here to engage, nothing more.

"The students will be glad. Our last staff member quit after he somehow left his leave notice in plain sight. Such a shame."

"My apologies. I understand this facility does have a dress policy, and of course I feel your concerns well. My only intention is to learn as much as must be for this school to prosper. I've heard so much prior to my position, but we're here now. I could have been only a dream." Smiled the future history major at Ami's school."

"You're welcome to call on me anything you wish; I am here to do my very best!"

The only accessory this new sub carried was a marking, by a winged demon back into the unknown…

Raku wrenched free of her hands as she showed him two locations in the building. One, the steps where Ami was headed with Iyori, and the other, was at college in….

~What…. ~

It was, or wasn't him. He thought of the counterparts of his son, Rokuro. As Rokou and Roko.

~Those two are aspects of your very self, my lord. A woman with much grace, she'll make an excellent distraction. And you…you are, the true self you wish to know here. In your classes that the magi pained himself to grant you. No more. ~ Ageha snapped her fingers as the scene of a flamboyant model in himself, in face and form took to the role of student while all of the girls and boys could not stay away.

~ My god…you look fantastic! What did you do with that uni? Hey, everyone? Raku's not as tiny as he pretends to be –

~ Wanna bet? ~

Raku turned a steamy red. ~ That's not me! ~ He protested. ~I don't hit…. I don't flirt or act like that at all…let me go! ~

~ You want to watch though. And see what life could be like if you act your age. You've tried to hide in that book for so long, my little lord. ~ She pinched his cheeks. He almost believed her to have stolen Veronica's body. ~ I…. John will stop you. He's got no other choice. ~

~ Because of you? ~ She blinked with a pout. ~ The spell you cast over all that you know. For them to do your bidding when you require it? ~ She smiled and petted his face with a smooth side of her thumb. ~ Dear child…you won't be what WE want until you break free of those restraints on earth. You were lost, and Lady Jorogumo and i…will happily set you to the skies again. Little lord… ~

She kissed him as he wept in her grip, not wanting any of it as his face watched the new "him" steal a backroom welcome to a student. And take him to heaven, in a false body.

Raku was never going to be out of hot water, he cried harder as her hands snaked around his torso. He was never going to get free of this web…not without hurting the ones he'd chosen to spare.

I can go longer chapters but I know where I wanted this to go from day one so…Anyone have feedback, go right ahead! Raku is the kind of half human that has insecurities that will be picked apart further. Rokou and Roko were actually his son's body guards or "aspects" to be sure Richard Ainsley in older arcs became his little soldier and retrained the kid to see the dark side as he was taught by Lilu at a more hands on approach. Roku now, was a monster that I kept under the T label for so long but let me list just WHY he hates himself now.

· He was changed to be "older" by Lilith using a curse to adjust him to her liking, right after she assaulted him and made him her favorite right hand.

· He was the one "soul stealer daemon lord" to bottle up lost souls and sell them through a black market as "life wine." The fear was in the myth that life wine if drunken even once, was enough to drive even the spirits and humans mad. The remnants of them were then smuggled, ground down and literally given the "Tiger wine" treatment. The only that were able to handle the stuff were literal high-ranking demons in Lord Roku's circle. Verra when he was forced to save Richard Ainsley his charge, was forced to drink the wine and he evaded going bat shit insane because of his darker element. In this case, Roku used it as a means to torture his most respected prisoners of the other planes.

· He abused and kept Lori Ainsley and many other queens and maidens under his power through manipulating their emotions and abilities. Sometimes he threatened them with their throne, or their pasts and even had kids in order to curse them over should he ever be banished.

· Lorelai Ainsley

· Catalina Daia Crscendo

· Shanti of Ancient India (as Raku in his childhood years he met her, and she lost her eye because he protected Lilith instead. She is the long lost love of the Hsari, a prince who was cursed similarly to Guin Saga and resembles the panther warrior in Yu – Gi – Oh cause I said so. Then, Hsari ends up serving Roku later since Lilith did her worst to ensnare them both in her care.

· Veronica Bethel, as a servant under himself and Lilu. He however treated her poorly compared to Alicia who may or not have been his child when he possessed Catalina's late husband.

· Was able to drop kick the elemental being of the East of Wind to take their throne and dub himself a ruler as Roku – earlier, his name Raku was replaced when his body and power changed. He then was found as an eastern relic but that was false. He is Sumerian by birth and middle eastern by his heritage to Azag in the future and in the far past. Bao Shi Lan was the candidate to govern over the East, yet Raku took her role and corrupted her later through torture until the Titans set her free when Roku's power had started to wane.

· Corrupted Veravakumu, Wiz Greg or Ardius and Kayumon to do his bidding by a contract that Richard had allowed to stop the king's plans. He sold himself and the guardians of the young son were forced to go along to save their world.

· He assaulted Eris and drove her to revenge in Chaos Arc. He did not remember when ss his memory was so bad due to the trauma, that he even tried to use his power to erase her pain instead of speaking to her directly.

· He laid waste to world with the relative of Dragul; a shadow rider and vamp by the name of Lothos (from Buffy comic) who assaulted Raku while he was training in the vamp's realm to see the extent of the boy's magic. Lilith allowed this but was more jealous than fearful of her charge. She was possessive yet never put the gothic ass in line, making Raku's trust in Lilith waiver until he brought back the creep and Shadow Von Hert to go after the power source and the heroes of earth, the Titans and guardians and their kids.

· He corrupted Veravakumu's shadow self and made it his obedient lackey as "Verra." Verra was more an aspect of mischief and finally won his freedom with Isa's aid. He went to earth to warn the Titans of Roku's return but found himself still cursed by the dog's previous owner.

· He corrupted Richard Ainsley in the same manner as how Jorogumo is trying to do the same to Raku and Iyori, his goal was to corrupt the boy long enough to unlock a power of light and dark (Rokuro and Hakuro merging) to open a way to the Ethereal plane and rewrite time itself. His son was caught, fell and was captured while Roku put a curse on the boy to reincarnate into another time as the king waited out his punishment until Slade gave him reason to truly reak havoc. There were showings in prev arcs of Aiden in the past during the raids is London where he met Veronica's younger sister. She had also sold her soul to come find her family, but was only able to do so until her removal later. She wanders in a non – corporeal form. Veronica lost her body and drifted in to nothing after she'd finally been set free from her service to both Lilith and Roku.

· He tricked Lizette Ravencroft of the Black Forest into becoming his soldier after her half Lycan lover was killed by townsfolk that called her a black witch. She swore her revenge and he gave her the power to use fire magic to ensnare her victims. She now works for the rebels and the soldiers as a leader in the barracks of the spirit world to preserve peace. She only uses magic as her last resort to preserve her image and is unable to age. She still looks like a gothic pig tailed red head with a snow white complexion and hails from precolonial Germany. She is more tsundere and she has the makings of an authoritive figure if need be. Her one true love was Veronica yet she continues to hope that one day they might meet again. In a way, Roku brought the two women to become close, yet he also ruined them for the worst to stay on his good side.

· He took over the body of Slade when he was strong enough and used a de – aged Slade Wilson to act as his personal assassin. Roku only came into the picture after he was pushed out for Slade's favor with Trigon, yet he returned once the ogre was erased and after Trouble in Tokyo, he did his worst and made the mastermind look his direction. Slade was corrupted and took every chance to figure out why (similar to Valmont and dragon face here from Jackie Chan Adventures. I used that to make it easier when I was a nobby tween.) After Roku finally used Slade's form to craft a portion of his own and gain a body back, leaving Slade half in ruin until the gods did him a solid, Roku continued to try to kill off and devour Bruce Wayne's soul, he tried to erase any evidence of Richard from the man's mind but failed.
