Chapter 92 Sea sirens

Faiz's group kept going down the tunnels trying to find a way out, then they saw a exit.
"There it is." Ajax said.
He goes foward but Cash stops him.
"What are you doing?" Ajax questioned.
"This is too easy." Cash said.
They heard a sound and hide behind a hole on the wall, a Licker comes out and headed outside only to be shot down many times.
"Damn it, it's a licker." One of the Wardogs said.
"Great, they're outside." Snow said.
"What do we do?" Amelia asked.
Faiz looks around and saw a hole that goes to a underground section.
"It seems this place was built before the sewers." He said.
"So in other words..." Rembrandt said.
"This goes to the river." Amelia said.
"Yes, so we'll have to swim." Faiz said.
"Well better get wet than to get shot." Cowboy holds his hat.
They jumped inside one by one before they had to swim.
The group went underwater as Faiz was first with some had to hold they're breath, they went outside of the walls and went up to gasp for air.
"Okay, we'll have to swim around so let's go." Faiz said.
But then they got shot making them to see Ramirez and his group up a cliff.
"You think i'm stupid!" He said. "Shoot them all!"
They all opened fire making everyone dive down again to avoid the shots.
Ramirez has a special weapon as it shoots energy blasts hitting Faiz and he grunted.
"They got weapons to harm us even in our suits." Swan said.
"Just great." Faiz said.
They went foward as a few women saw them and swam foward, as they kept swimming before Faiz got dragged down.
"Judai!" Amelia cries out.
Faiz was inside of the water and he saw... Mermaids.
The woman were mermaids with sharp teeth wearing scale patches on they're private parts.
They scream at him as the screeches they made made his mind hurt.
Faiz then kicks them back and swims up before seeing the others. "Okay, let's go!"
They swam foward and Snow said: "What's inside the water?"
"Evil mermaids!" Faiz said.
"What?!" Cowboy looks down.
The mermaids came out and they even surprised the wardogs.
"So this is what that guy had in mind for the sea." Ramirez said.
The mermaids scream making them grunt in pain before Amelia mutated one of her arms to hit the leader causing the girls to get worried.
"Quick!" She said.
They swam faster as the mermaids follow them, the Wardogs shoot at them not caring if they hit the mermaids.
One goes for Swan but he turns around grabbing her and uses the woman as a meat shield blocking bullets making her scream in pain.
He pushes her off and kept swimming. "Stupid bitch."
"We gotta get our of here before we get holes." Fox said.
Faiz looks around and saw a sewer pipe. "The sewers."
"Oh great." Ajax complained.
"We don't have a choice, it's either that or bullets and monster mermaids, and I rather take the sewers." Swan said.
They went towards the pipe and Ramirez saw that. "Oh no you don't!"
He takes out a rocket launcher and shoots at them.
Faiz saw that rocket and takes out his gun to shoot it in mid air causing a explosion.
The mermaids scream and ran away out of fear, the smoke gave them a shot to get inside of the pipe.
Ramirez roars in anger seeing that they were gone.
"Damn it! Search for them in the city again!" Ramirez said.
The group went down the pipe and Amelia had to hold her nose.
"I know this stinks, but we don't have a choice." Faiz said.
"At least we managed to avoid those fuckers, now let's go." Cash said.
"But did we really have to have evil mermaids?" Cowboy said.
"I never expected this, but it could be another weird mutation." Faiz said.
Pest must have been behind this in they're creations, and it seems he wants to make sure they didn't try to swim out of here.
"Looks like we have to avoid the waters in this moment, so everyone let's go." He said.
They went foward down the pipes and Amelia looks back. "They still freak me out."
"Wait, you?" Ajax said.
"I might turn into a monster but seeing something from the books be real is not something I wanted to see." Amelia told him.
"Lay it off Ajax, we all have our fears." Swan said.
"Plus, it's still surprising to see mermaids." Fox said.
"I still can't believe that." Snow said.
Faiz goes foward and he saw a dead mermaid on the ground and saw she was clawed to death.
"It seems one of the creatures got her." He said.
"But what is it?" Swan asked.
"It seems a Licker or a Hunter." Faiz made a guess.
"Either them or a Orphnoch." Rembrandt said.
"Yes, but we can't delay, we must go foward or those guys will catch up to us." Faiz said.
The group kept running foward as they need to reach the mansion before that gang does it.
Outside the mermaids sing a song as they swim around the sea, inside the water is a giant shark as it roars but didn't bother the girls.
Many sea creatures were there and they were mutated by the virus, the fight attracted a lot of them, they were lucky not to face these ones but the dangers are only just beginning.
Note: The mermaids are actually scrapped creatures from Resident Evil 8, yes they were meant to be there, so I decided to add them as enemies in the water to show even now the sea it self has been getting dangerous.
