Hulbury Gym Battles (Part Four)
Ronnie Anne enters the Gym Test area which she needs to get through to be able to battle Nessa and defeat her to win the Water Badge. After the staff member tells Ronnie Anne what she has to do, Ronnie Anne got started. After a couple of minutes, Ronnie Anne makes her way through the course and reaches the gate, therefore passing the test. Back at Royal Woods, the rest of the Louds, Howard and Harold McBride, Bobby, and Simon were watching.
"That's my Nie Nie." said Bobby.
"She nailed that test." said Lynn Jr.
"How do you think she'll do against Nessa?" asked Luan.
"Yeah, she did have a difficult time with Milo." replied Rita.
"I'm sure Ronnie Anne has been working real hard after that." said Bobby.
"Bobby's right; we just need to have faith in her." said Lynn Sr.
"You're right, Dad." said Lori.
Back at Hulbury Statium, Ronnie Anne and Nessa were facing each other.
"You did well passing the Gym Test, Ronnie Anne." said Nessa. "But if you want the Water Badge, you have to defeat me."
"I'll give it my all." said Ronnie Anne.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." said Nessa. As they walked away from each other, Lincoln and the others cheered her on from the audience.
"You go, Ronnie Anne!" cheered Lincoln.
"Go get her!" said Clyde.
"You can do it!" said Lana. The referee walks to the middle of the arena.
"This is a three-on-three battle between the Gym Leader, Nessa; and the Gym Challenger, Ronnie Anne Santiago." said the referee. "Each trainer will use three Pokemon during this match; the first trainer to defeat all three of their opponent's Pokemon will be the winner. Let the match begin." The referee steps off to the side while Lola and Nessa each take out a pokeball.
"Goldeen, go!" said Nessa, throwing Goldeen's pokeball and releasing it.
"Nessa begins the match by bringing out her Goldeen." said the announcer.
"Let's go, Luxray!" said Ronnie Anne, throwing Luxray's pokeball and releasing him.
"And Ronnie Anne responds by bringing out a fierce looking Luxray." said the announcer. Luxray glares at Goldeen and it slumps.
"Looks like my Luxray's Intimidate ability activated." said Ronnie Anne. Back at Royal Woods.
"Whoa. That Pokemon looks strong." said Lynn Jr.
"Quite the intimidating Pokemon." said Lisa.
"He's no Luxray of sunshine. Ha ha ha ha. Get it." said Luan. Everyone moans in response. Back at Hulbury Stadium.
"Leer attack!" said Ronnie Anne. Luxray glares at Goldeen and his eyes glow red. Goldeen slumps as its defense weakens.
"Goldeen, Horn Attack!" said Nessa. Goldeen flies at Luxray and jabs him with its horn, but not doing much damage due to Intimadate weakening its attack strength.
"Luxray, Spark attack!" said Ronnie Anne. Luxray becomes surrounded by electricty and he charges at Goldeen, ramming it and doing super effective damage. Goldeen falls to the floor with swirly eyes.
"Goldeen is unable to battle. Luxray wins the match." said the referee.
"And Luxray has taken out Nessa's Goldeen with only one move." said the announcer. Back at Royal Woods.
"Whoa! That Luxray is strong." said Bobby.
"It took out that Goldeen good." said Lynn Jr. Back at Hulbury Stadium, Nessa returns Goldeen to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Goldeen." said Nessa. She puts Goldeen's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Go, Arrokuda!" said Nessa, throwing Arrokuda's pokeball and releasing it.
"Luxray, Charge!" said Ronnie Anne. Luxray becomes covered in sparks.
"Arrokuda's in trouble if the next move Luxray uses is an electric type one." said Lincoln.
"How come?" asked Sam.
"Charge powers up the next move used if it's an electric type one." said Lincoln. Sam's eyes widen as she returns her focus to the battle.
"Arrokuda, Bite!" said Nessa. Arrokuda flies at Luxray and bites him, making him flinch, but Luxray didn't seem to budge. "Now use Aqua Jet!" Arrokuda becomes surrounded by water and flies at Luxray, ramming him; Luxray remained standing on the same spot it started on.
"Thunder Shock!" said Ronnie Anne. Luxray releases a strong lightning bolt from his body and it hits Arrokuda, dealing major damage due to Charge powering up Thunder Shock. Arrokuda falls to the ground with swirly eyes.
"Arrokuda is unable to battle. Luxray wins the match!" said the referee.
"And with a powerful Thunder Shock, Luxray has defeated Nessa's Arrokuda, earning Ronnie Anne a win." said the announcer. Back at Royal Woods.
"Man, Luxray's literally unstoppable!" said Lori.
"Go, Ronnie Anne!" said Bobby.
"Man, this Pokemon stuff is intense." said Lynn Jr. "Makes me wish I was there."
"Don't even think about it, young lady!" exclaimed Rita, making Lynn Jr pout. Back at Hulbury Stadium, Nessa returns Arrokuda to its pokeball.
"Rest now, Arrokuda." said Nessa. She puts Arrokuda's pokeball away and looks at Ronnie Anne. "Your Luxray's well trained, Ronnie Anne."
"You know it." said Ronnie Anne. Nessa pulls a pokeball out of her pocket.
"But you'll get your badge only after you beat my final Pokemon." said Nessa.
"Bring it on!" said Ronnie Anne.
"As you wish." said Nessa. "Drednaw, come out!" She tosses Drednaw's pokeball and releases it.
"And Nessa brings out her Drednaw." said the announcer. Nessa returns Drednaw to its pokeball and enlarges it with her Dynamax Band. She tosses it and releases her now Dynamaxed Drednaw.
"Two can play that game." said Ronnie Anne. She returns Luxray to his pokeball and enlarges it with her Dynamax Band. She tosses it and releases her Luxray, now Dynamaxed.
"And now it's a battle between two Dynamaxed Pokemon!" said the announcer. "Which Pokemon will remain standing after this?!"
"Luxray, Max Lightning!" Luxray lets out a roar and a massive bolt of lightning shoots down from the sky and it hits Drednaw, dealing super effective damage. Electricity covers the arena floor.
"Luxray's Max Lightning has created an Electric Terrain, which powers up all electric type moves. Could Nessa be in trouble?" asked the announcer.
"We will not give up." replied Nessa. "Drednaw, Max Rockfall!" Drednaw lets out a yell and a massive slab of stone rises up from the arena floor and then falls onto Luxray, damaging him. A sandstorm appears on the arena floor. Luxray gets buffeted with the sand, damaging him.
"It'll take more than that to stop us!" said Ronnie Anne. "Luxray, one more Max Lightning!" Luxray summons another massive lightning bolt from the sky and it hits Drednaw, dealing massive damage due to Electric Terrain powering up Max Lightning. Drednaw returns to its normal size and passes out.
"Drednaw is unable to battle. Luxray wins. The winner of this gym battle is the challenger, Ronnie Anne Santiago." said the referee.
"Ronnie Anne has done it! Her Luxray has swept through Nessa's Pokemon to earn her the victory!" said the announcer.
"We did it, Luxray!" said Ronnie Anne. Luxray roars as he returns to his regular size. Ronnie Anne runs to Luxray and hugs him. Lincoln and the others cheer from the audience, as well as everyone in Royal Woods. Nessa returns Drednaw to its pokeball.
"I'm proud of you, Drednaw." said Nessa. She puts Drednaw's pokeball away and looks at Ronnie Anne, continuing to hug Luxray.
Later, Ronnie Anne and Nessa were standing in the center of the arena, looking at each other with Nessa holding out a Water Badge.
"As proof of your victory here, Ronnie Anne; I reward you with the Water Badge." said Nessa.
"Thanks, Nessa." said Ronnie Anne, taking the Water Badge, along with pokedollars.
Later in the lobby, everyone else was congratulating Ronnie Anne on her victory.
"You were awesome, Ronnie Anne!" said Lincoln.
"You rocked, dudette." said Luna.
"It's your turn next, Linky." said Leni. Lincoln nods and walks over to the staff member.
"I'm ready for my Gym Test." said Lincoln.
"Very well." said the staff member, who then leads Lincoln inside. In the Gym Test area, another staff member explained how the course works. Once he finished, Lincoln went through the course and completes it in two minutes.
Back in Royal Woods, everyone at the Loud House was watching Lincoln pass his Gym Test.
"That's my boy." said Lynn Sr.
"Go, Stinkoln!" said Lynn Jr.
"Now all he has to do is defeat Nessa." said Luan.
"Yay, Wincoln!" cheered Lily.
Back at Hulbury Stadium, Lincoln exits a tunnel and walks to the center of the arena as the crowd, including his friends and family, cheer for him.
"You got this, bro!" said Luna.
"You can do it, Lincoln!" said Lana.
"We, totes, believe in you!" says Leni. Lincoln and Nessa soon meet at the center of the arena.
"I must say that your sisters and friends are quite talented as Pokemon trainers." said Nessa.
"Don't worry." said Lincoln. "I'm the last one you have to deal with."
"I hope so." said Nessa in exasperation. She and Lincoln then go to opposite sides of the arena, while a referee walks to the center.
"This is a three-on-three battle between the Gym Leader, Nessa; and the Gym Challenger, Lincoln Loud." said the referee. "Each trainer will use three Pokemon during this match; the first trainer to defeat all three of their opponent's Pokemon will be the winner. Let the match begin." The referee steps off to the side while Lincoln and Nessa each take out a pokeball.
"Let's see what Pokemon that Lincoln will go with." said the announcer. Nessa throws her pokeball, releasing her Goldeen; Lincoln throws his pokeball, releasing his Leafeon.
"Leafeon, use Quick Attack!" said Lincoln. Leafeon quickly moves towards Goldeen, and slams into it, knocking it back.
"Goldeen, use Horn Attack!" said Nessa. Goldeen moves towards Leafeon with its horn pointed towards him.
"Leafeon, dodge and use Razor Leaf!" said Lincoln. Leafeon jumps over Goldeen to dodge its horn, and releases a barrage of leaves from his tail at it, doing enough super effective damage to knock it out.
"Goldeen is unable to battle. Leafeon is the winner." said the referee.
"Good work, Leafeon!" said Lincoln. Leafeon looks at Lincoln and nods.
"And Leafeon takes out Nessa's Goldeen. Can Lincoln keep this up?" asked the announcer.
"You go, Linc!" said Ronnie Anne.
"Keep it up, buddy!" said Clyde.
Back in Royal Woods, everyone watching Lincoln were cheering as well.
"That's one Pokemon down!" said Lynn Jr.
"Keep it up, Lincoln!" said Lori.
Back at Hulbury Stadium, Nessa returned her Goldeen to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Goldeen." said Nessa. She puts Goldeen's pokeball back on her waist, and pulls out another one. She throws it, releasing her Arrokuda.
"And Nessa brings out her Arrokuda. Can it make a comeback against Lincoln's Leafeon?" asked the announcer.
"Leafeon, use Quick Attack again!" said Lincoln.
"Arrokuda, use Aqua Jet!" said Nessa. Leafeon moves quickly towards the Arrokuda just as it coats itself in water and moves towards him. They both collide and pushed against each other to knock their respective opponents back; but in the end, Leafeon managed to knock Arrokuda back, sending it tumbling across the floor.
"Leafeon, end this with another Razor Leaf!" said Lincoln. Leafeon releases another barrage of leaves at Arrokuda, hitting it, and once again, doing enough super effective damage to knock it out.
"Arrokuda is unable to battle. Leafeon is the winner." said the referee.
"And Leafeon takes out another of Nessa's Pokemon! How strong are these Loud kids?" asked the announcer.
"We're really strong!" said Lana.
"And don't forget that, buster!" said Lola.
Back at the Loud House, everyone was cheering Lincoln some more.
"Just one more to go, and Lincoln wins!" said Luan.
"Can he do it?" asked Lisa.
"He did well against Milo; so he might do well against Nessa." said Lynn Jr.
"We'll see." said Rita.
Back at Hulbury Stadium, Nessa was returning her Arrokuda to its pokeball.
"You battled bravely, Arrokuda." said Nessa. She puts Arrokuda's pokeball back on her waist and pulls out her last one. She throws it, releasing her Drednaw.
"And Nessa brings out her Drednaw." said the announcer. Nessa returns Drednaw to its pokeball and enlarges it with her Dynamax Band. She tosses it and releases her now Dynamaxed Drednaw. "What's Lincoln going to do against Nessa's Dynamaxed Drednaw?"
"Okay, Leafeon! Use Magical Leaf!" said Lincoln. Leafeon releases a barrage of glowing, multicolored leaves from his tail, hitting Drednaw, doing lots of super effective damage, due to it being both part rock and part water types, along with Leafeon's Rose Incense powering his grass moves up. The Dynamaxed Drednaw shakes its head to regain his senses.
"Drednaw, use Max Rockfall!" said Nessa. Drednaw summons up another large slab of rock and it starts to fall towards Leafeon.
"Leafeon, dodge it!" said Lincoln. Leafeon starts running back to try and avoid the attack. The Max Rockfall soon hits the ground, sending dust flying everywhere. Everyone in the audience, and back at the Loud House, all watch to see what happens next. Nessa tries to see if the Max Rockfall hit Leafeon, but she couldn't see around it.
"Did I get it?" asked Nessa. She got her answer when she sees Leafeon jumps on top of the stone slab.
"Leafeon actually dodged the attack!" said the announcer. Everyone in the audience cheered in response. A sandstorm suddenly appears, buffeting Leafeon with sand.
"Let's end this quickly and end this sandstorm!" said Lincoln. "One more Magical Leaf!" Leafeon releases another barrage of glowing, multicolored leaves at the Dynamaxed Drednaw, hitting it, and causing its energy to explode. It then returns to its normal size, unconscious.
"Drednaw is unable to battle. Leafeon is the winner. That means the winner of the match is the Gym Challenger, Lincoln Loud." said the referee. The audience roars with applause.
"Lincoln has done it! He's defeated the Dynamaxed Drednaw with a regular-sized Leafeon to win the match!" said the announcer.
"Linky won!" cheers Leni.
"That was so cool!" said Ronnie Anne.
"Way to go, buddy!" said Clyde. Back at the Loud House, everyone there was celebrating Lincoln's victory.
"He did it!" said Lynn Sr.
"I'm so proud!" said Rita.
"We all are, Mom." said Luan.
Back at Hulbury Stadium, Nessa was returning her Drednaw to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Drednaw." said Nessa. She puts Drednaw's pokeball back onto her waist as she walks to Lincoln, who was petting Leafeon's head; he stops when he sees Nessa approaching him. "That was quite the battle, Lincoln."
"Thanks, Nessa." said Lincoln. Nessa pulls a Water Badge, along with some pokedollars out of her pocket.
"As proof of your victory, I present you with the Water Badge." said Nessa as she hands it to Lincoln, along with the pokedollars.
"Awesome! I got the Water Badge!" said Lincoln. Later in the lobby, Lincoln's sisters and friends were congratulating him.
"That was rad, little dude." said Sam.
"Way to go, bro!" said Luna.
"That was amazing." said Lola. "Now get back your Alcremie like you promised!" Lincoln pulls out his Rotom Phone and decides that Leafeon can use a break, so he swapped him for Alcremie.
With that, the Louds, Clyde, and Ronnie Anne all won their Water Badges. What awaits them as their Galar adventure continues?
