Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds: The Judgement of the World

A/N: ooooh boy. Ok so I had this done and everything, just needed to edit it. And somehow my brain decided I 'had' done all that and went straight into my main Yugioh fan fic and my Castlevania fan fic. Hence why this is going up 'now'. When I cleared out 'last weeks' load it was Yugi and Castlevania and I … realized I done fluffed up. Sorry folks. But the next chapter is on schedule I'll start it later today.

Swirling tornadoes charged through the area their lower halves swaying about in some drunken parody of a hip swaying dancer. Slabs as big as Jack were being lifted into the air and flung out into space, directions be damned. Not that it could go far since the sky was still hurling massive Black Rose Witch head sized hail. Thankfully amid the shattering glass there was no one out there with flesh and blood. All of it seemingly honoring the sky that was now a churning black mass with streaks of large electric blue lightning bolts.

It brought so much light to the sky it could be seen as far away as Tokyo, where Carly sat in the hospital room. Mortified as she looked out the window towards the direction of Neo Domino and saw 'that'!

Jesse was in bed, hooked up and strapped down, the Security officers were posted both in and outside the room. Yet even the teen's fully dangerous reputation could not compete against the spectacle that was being played out outside. One officer grabbed his phone, and soon the pair were talking openly of the massive sudden storm. Twice the size of Neo Domino and visible from 'here'!

Kaiba's name came up. Not Mokuba, but his brother, Seto.

'That's the last time we ever saw storms this big, when it ended he was gone and so was Yugi and others. Though because they weren't high on the social ladder the world at large doesn't realize it,' Carly thought to herself.

The fair... the 'Ladies' had disappeared on their way here, Hikari had been the last one. The rest channeling their strength to her so she could get Carly to Tokyo.

"We're too far from the Priestess," was the apology.

But Carly would always forgive her fairies because they tried their hardest.

"Jack..." But Jack was back there and in a storm 'this' big?

"Ooooh there's signs of thre... Oh a fourth tornado has manifested right at the Momentum facility!"

"Momentum!?"

Not that Carly didn't understand their fear, they had no idea that there was a battle going on right at the front steps after all. She couldn't even explain that, it was all she could do to explain that Jesse was a victim of hypnosis. The Ladies suggested it for the non Duel Spirit dealing members of humanity.

That he was being forced against his Will to do the terrible things he did. Not that it changed much, as the old adage was still in play.

You can't hypnotize someone to do something they wouldn't do otherwise.

'But this really isn't his fault, how do you fight Yubel?' she argued internally, the poor guy was strapped to the bed, it was all Carly could do to get them to treat the guy. But he was marked for arrest!

What of Jack? She didn't have a handy Mark to alert her if the others were ok, no spirits that could manifest that she could see. The Fortune Ladies could be around her screaming up to the minute play by play reports on what was going on, and they 'were', and she couldn't hear or see them!

"Just believe in Aki and Yusei, Aki can protect them. Just make sure Yusei's ok so she will look after them..." She told herself as razor thin bolts skipped from cloud to cloud.

"This sucks..." En groaned as they kept trying to call out to Carly.

"Like a bag of pickles..." Swee agreed.

"How do you know? We've never had them, they might be good... Then that makes this a good suck..."

Maybe Carly 'shouldn't' have the ability to hear the spirits sometimes.

Potential pickle sucking aside...

Signs that Set was painfully close to the area and making that presence known were like Kaiba himself. Subtle like a meteor strike.

Damage was slowing down, hail slammed into a cracked and fragmented slab of wall yet it didn't shatter the wall. Instead it broke and tumbled down a growing pile of melting ice. Darkening the ground as it found ways to get into the earth below and water it properly. The storm above was finally developing the actual sound of thunder. Rolling out of the clouds tumbling to the ground and shaking the foundations of the city. The treated glass of the buildings trembled as the rolling thunder shoulder checked them, pushing against the buildings as it rolled away.

But could he 'arrive'?

Because Set wasn't alone, he was part of the Divine Royal Court.

He wouldn't just manifest alone, he would lead God on his heels...

Not that he was coming home with this doughnut hanging in the air!

White Lightning finally pierced the orb. A pin thin light that broke through before it slowly widen as it pushed outward. Divine lightning carried forward dashing into the wall of the Momentum building and dispersed against its concrete. Vicious satisfaction curled on what could be called 'lips' on the Blue Eyes as she watched the gaping hole hang there in the air. It was jagged, a ragged hole as the corrupted Light tried to stitch itself back together. Shreds of the Corrupted Light began to flutter away, tattered and the force of the tornados' winds were working against them. Ripping away until the hole was becoming this smoothed out hollow tunnel.

Until it started to collapse.

Lightning began to spark inside the orb, crawling along the outer part of the orb as these dirty yellow veins that danced along the edges of the shattered orb. It burned the skin of the orb, causing its 'blood' to start to spill out as the orb began pour outward. Trickling down chain reactions began as miniature explosions began to erupt..

Blue Eyes blinked as the light began to bleed out when she felt herself being recalled by her darling!

Chaotic light continued to pour out, sparks crashed against other sparks igniting larger explosions over and over. A chain reaction that kept escalating swirling higher as Trueman teleported away taking Yubel so they could see at a safer distance. The noise began a war against the storm, striving to blast an explosion in the moments between claps of thunder, keeping the sound constant. It ripped away at the ground, blasting concrete into the air, slashed the walls and ground with the pieces of broken stone.

Far too soon the blasts had evolved to the sizes of ships.

Trueman was braced to teleport again for when the building pieces would go orbital. He watched through his glasses as the Momentum building became consumed in the escalating explosion.

Time was shackled to a crawl for a few extra minutes with the sound of collapsing concrete, violently relocating dirt and outside hail that sounded like gunfire. But slowly realization began to dawn on them that all they heard was the gunfire of hail striking the ground and the rumbling of a train running over head, the auditory tale tell sign of a tornado. Slowly the overwhelming noise no longer affected their ears. Death was no longer coming for them as Stardust began sharking his way through the tunnel, his beakish nose tilling the concrete and dirt to help the humans wiggle a little lower from the ceiling.

Red light was flashing into the tunnel in slow beats that they realized was Power Tool checking in on them.

"Today is going to be 'close shave day', isn't it?" Asuka asked as she wiggled out from under Fubuki's overly, but greatly appreciated, protective self.

"Is this rush what its like when you turbo duel with the security system turned off?" Momoe asked as she peeked out from under Ryo and Kazu's protective cover.

Yusei, Jack and Crow all turned as one and without missing a beat answered, "yes."

"The guys won't let me Turbo Duel in that manner yet, and I have a host of spirits looking after me if that's any indication." Aki added.

Soon the tunnel was filled with protests, mostly good natured even toned ones until Crow and Jack opted to do some education.

"That's because the largest duel spirit Aki Sis has is Black Rose Dragon, if she gets whipped off Bloody Kiss theres' only two options. A spirit 'does' stop her and if not her neck any other part of the body would be whipped outward and broken. We mean permanent broken, or she slams into Black Rose who has the body density of a massive rose stem." Crow explained and Jack took over as Judai resumed struggling. Not that he had a lot of energy for it and Crow had to give more attention because Judai still had that injury to his head. The guy needed to see a doctor, but he needed his mental freedom from Yubel first.

"And who exactly has those massive thorns that could impale you instantly?"

Aki had this slightly apologetic expression on her face most couldn't see because of the state of the tunnel. But the guys had been in more graphic detail of the consequences of such accidents. Computer generated images of how the arm bone could be ripped from the socket, ripping muscles as it did so. Reminding her that the only real reason anyone 'ever' had a reason to turn off the security dueling system was the intention to harm.

One only had to look at Black Rose to recognize how bad an unnecessary injury could be.

"Twins, Kaiba, Ishtar!" Yusei cut off their conversations as he called out for confirmation. Everyone else was chatting those four were the only ones quiet and that was not sitting well with him. He crawled forward with the tips of his hair occasionally brushing against some lower jagged piece of cracked ceiling. Cool air chilled his face, a comfort at the recognition of Revelers power, there wasn't any light though. If Reveler was just out on principle and Zalinka was out cold what of the others?

"I had urt in may outh!" Rua answered in the most offended tone he could manage.

"We'll be with you soon Big brother!" Ruka followed up with, "Captain and Big sis is here too!"

Rua wouldn't stop spitting and Reveler was an ice barrier spirit so the only thing the spirit seemed able to 'suggest' involved ice cubes.

"Would be cleaner now than going out and grabbing one of those hail stones," Ruka noted as she audibly ruminated over the suggestion.

"And teach you not to try to talk during such things," Ryu noted with a half smile on his face. PowerTool, for all its childish appearance, was still a Signer Dragon. Rua getting excited at its sudden appearance and getting a mouth full of dirt was a forgone conclusion.

Not that it was helping Rua's case when he turned to look at Ryu with his tongue sticking out of his mouth. With that big bushy ponytail he wore it just reinforced the puppy dog look that Rua could accomplish at times.

"We lived... I mean..." Zalinka noted as she began crawling out from their small little nook. "Hope its nicer out there." She added as the noise from outside was starting to fill up the empty space abandoned by the tunnel no longer being crushed out of existence.

They were soon joining the others as they moved outward. Black Rose Dragon and PowerTool were scraping dirt away from the entrance. Causing a larger opening to be created and the first, Yusei and Aki, slipped down into that valley to stand up properly. With Yusei slipping to the front of the tunnel to check outside, while Aki helped get Ryo and the others down so they could help with the girls.

"Black Rose, is outside ok? You're not hurt are you?" Yusei asked as he walked towards the cold, hard winds. Beyond there was clearly a thick pile of shattered hail, the concrete walls they had been using was gone leaving only a gray powder mixed with the hail. Lightning from the storm above was the only source of light now. Electric blue illuminating a frighteningly empty field of hail. While his question causing the dragon to pause in her work.

She dipped her head down so he could see her vivid shades of pink colored eyes. There was a vacancy there, but he saw intelligence. Rose was broken but not completely gone.

'Oh, there's my Stardust...' She mused before clamping her mouth at him. "We live, the Storm God shelters."

Lightning began to reveal the distant buildings, looming shadows that were illuminated from silent black obelisk. They were standing, which was a relief, yet the map in his mind wouldn't let him relax. There were multiple buildings between where he stood to those apartments in the distance. Momentum wasn't in the residential district of the city. When they arrived there were numerous broken buildings laying in heaps around them...

Now...

The air was frigid, it bit into his face and dried up the air so quickly he had to blink to bring forth tears for his eyes. Closing up his jacket he forced himself out into this strange alien surroundings. With the spaces between lightning causing those distant buildings to be nothing more than stone structures on some strange foreign planet.

A sweep of the area made his insides feel as cold as his skin.

There literally was 'nothing' around, for a full 180 degree examination, everything was gone, road, broken parts of buildings, formally still standing parts of the buildings. No dragons, just one lone flicker of a light so far in the distance it could have been a firefly fleeing.

'How are we alive?' he wondered when he heard a low rumble beside him.

"They sure do know how to make an impression," Stardust noted, his tone casual, calm. So much so that Yusei latched on to it in a maddening desperation as he realized.

Momentum was right behind them.

Mathematically the blast from Blue Eyes White Dragon would only clip the upper management offices of the building. If the orb Yubel was creating didn't explode the blast would only damage that.

If the orb went off, given its nature, power, and what it was fueled by and how that could interact with Momentums' processes. They should all have died.

It took more courage than he felt he had to turn around and check.

Yubel was missing, the orb was gone.

So was everything else. All he could see was every building, every structure that was not housing Momentum. Gone. The building was standing there as though it was just another night in the city. Even the damage during the fight when the dragons were at full tilt when Archfiend decided to slam his tail into the wall as an attempt to destroy a Trueman was standing.

Stardust rose up from his 'my head is all you're going to see because the rest of me is buried' to hover himself in the air. His long neck allowing him to see more behind him. "Soo I don't see any buildings from my angle, but if I go higher I'm going to be shouting." He warned before opening his massive wings and thrusting them downward.

Whatever wind he would have manifested would have easily sent Yusei to the floor, only since Stardust wasn't fully here... Yusei could just stand there and watch as his dragon ascended higher into the air.

"Wow... Yusei its all gone! There's this massive radius of 'nothing' around us except this building. The ground doesn't appear gutted, so there was no cratering effect. But the only thing standing on the ground is this!" The dragon called down to him looking down to make sure Yusei heard that. Once he saw Yusei nod, he began the slow drift downward when his gaze caught sight of something far in the distance. Airbone and somehow avoiding all the lightning going on despite flying straight towards them. "Someone's coming, I'm going to check it out!" he called before leaving even before Yusei could make a decision.

'Was I always that head strong and impatient?' Yusei pondered briefly as his words to wait until the other Dragons were informed died on his lips. Instead he silently marveled at what he had heard. Momentum had been spared. So if Kaiba had been here that day.

Would Zero Reverse never happened?
