In the town of the Mushroom Kingdom...
Who's buildings are as whimsical as they are colourful, short, dwarf, child-like people with their large bulbous hats that are tipped with colourful polka dots and wearing their own respective clothing, are all busy with themselves as they walk, talk and minding their own business as their ambiguous age is compounded by how childish they are or are still adults in their behaviour...
If they act like air-headed doofuses, that is.
Furthermore, sticking out like a sore thumb in a rather cartoonish, light-hearted and playfully peaceful atmosphere of the town is Nemesis the Warlock, who practically sticks out like a sore thumb that his height and armour makes him stand out amongst the colourful populace.
Although to Nemesis, he is directly confused by how none of the Toads People, as he recognized them from the game franchise he played, aren't looking upon him and run away in fear despite how intimidating he looked.
'Then again, the Toads People aren't exactly the most intelligent of people in the Super Mario games but they should at least try to be wary of me walking around in their town.' Nemesis thought as he continue to walk around the peaceful town, 'Still, whoever this SMG4 is, he got to have something for me here. Whatever that is, remains to be seen.'
"Hey, there..." Nemesis has broken out of his thoughts when he heard an adult male voice before looking at who is talking to him...
He appears to be another one of those Toads People of the Mushroom Kingdom which even includes the baby-like face, the bulbous mushroom hat, a vest in blue colour with yellow highlights, stubby foot and, from the description that Nemesis sees, he is wearing white pants yet no shirt beneath his vest.
'Okay, now someone finally noticed me...' Nemesis thought in sarcasm until he said, "Uh... Yeah... Hey, there to you, kid... So, how's your day?"
"Technically, I'm 24 years old but I don't blame you cause we all look alike and the only difference is our voice and the colours of our dots on our hat... which is still limited when you think about it, right?" The Mushroom person explained in a rather cheery voice.
'Thank you for your lampshade with basically everything about what it means to be background characters...' Nemesis thought in a deadpan tone before he then started to ask, "So, anything else that is wrong in the Mushroom Kingdom?"
"Well, other than Princess Peach being kidnapped by Bowser again, it's really peachy here..." The Toads person, still in his cheery tone.
"Oh, okay. That's-WAIT WHAT!?" Nemesis said shock, "THE PRINCESS IS KIDNAPPED!?"
"Yup." The Toads person said nonchalant and still cheery tone.
"Well... How are you guys not panicking!?" Nemesis called him out on this.
"Oh, don't worry. Princess Peach has been for like, who knows how many times, that it's kind of a bore right now. I mean, unless the kingdom would the fall apart into complete chaos and anarchy, then we'll be alright. But it's fine now since that hasn't happened yet..." The Toads person explained to Nemesis in his still nonchalant and cheery tone.
Just before Nemesis could respond, he heard someone yelled out, saying, "THE PRINCESS IS GONE! WE ARE NOW FREE! NOW, WE SHALL PAINT THIS HOUSE WITH GRAFFITI BY PAINTING WITH SOMETHING REALLY CRINGE BECAUSE WE ARE NOW FREE AND NO ONE CAN STOP ME!" One of the Toads people said, this one looking like he is trying to be in a Mad Max-cosplay or something with the painted faces, leather coat and spear in hand while a house behind him is on fire.
"Yup, we are fine..." The Toads person said, although the twitching eye showcased that he isn't fine.
"Right..." Nemesis said in an awkward tone, "So, is someone gonna save her or-"
"Of course, we're just waiting for that mercenary that Mario's friend just called. He said that he'll be here in about a jiffy..." The Toads person.
"Mercenary?" Nemesis questioned in confusion, "Also, isn't Mario supposed to be the one that is supposed to rescue her?" He asked, knowing the fundamental formula of the Mario franchise of a plumber rescuing a princess from the evil fire-breathing turtle dragon.
"Nope. Mario doesn't do that, anymore. And besides, he and his brother, Luigi, are gay now so..." The Mushroom person said, "Not at all."
"What?" Said Nemesis in shock, disbelieving how his childhood knowledge about Mario just got shattered there, "Why?"
"Meh, I don't know. It's either because they didn't work out, they won't be doing rescuing anymore. Just hire someone else to do the job because they don't have the motivation anymore. It's still a good thing that Mario's friend did something. Like..." The Mushroom person then started yell out, saying, "WHEN IS THAT MERCENARY COMING HERE!? WE HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE AGES AND WE LOST FIVE HOUSES BECAUSE OF THESE FUCKING MUSHROOM PEOPLE!"
"FUCK YOU, MUSHROOM ASSHOLE! WE CAN BURN A HOUSE ANYTIME WE WANT, LOOK AT US GO!" One of the Toads People said as he set a Molotov Cocktail and throws it at quite possibly the sixth house they burned.
'Okay, what? Did they just swear? I thought this universe is supposed to be kid-friendly...' Then he realized the riot thing and thought, 'Right. The riot thing is pretty much a dead giveaway...' He sigh at that before realizing something, "Say... Uh... Is Mario's friend... SMG4?"
"Yeah, what about it?" The Mushroom person then widened his eyes in realization and said, "Wait, you're the mercenary he hired, right?"
"Uh..." Nemesis was about to respond before he was then pulled by the Mushroom person when he jump up and grabbed his hand.
"There is no time to waste. Our princess is kidnapped and our kingdom is in grave danger. Please, come to the castle quickly. This rioters are burning anyone's houses and we need the princess to get the resources ready now..." The Toads person explained as he continue to pull Nemesis along.
"Glad to know you cared..." Nemesis snarked at that.
"Oh, by the way, the name's Toad Red. You know, cause my spots are red. What's yours?" The Mushroom person introduced himself to Nemesis.
"I am..." Nemesis then prepares to introduced himself, "Nemesis the Warlock."
"... Wow, you have issues, dude..."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
Both Nemesis and Toad Red were then finally gone to what they are supposed to be going to...
Standing in front of them is a large castle with the pointed roofs being coloured red alongside being tipped with red flags, the walls being white in colour and finally, Nemesis can see the image of the familiar Princess Peach on the front window...
Nemesis just couldn't believe that he is standing in front of a castle and as much as he isn't too girly, he is kind of amazed and somewhat nervous when standing in front of a castle that looks no less fitting in some Disney movie or whatever...
'Good thing Disney is gone now. Can't even imagine what will happen if they buy something without making it so bad that it's horrible and cringed as fuck...' Then Nemesis remembers what had happened since coming here and thought, 'Unless, this is what happened?'
"Hey, Luigi, open up..." Toad Red called out, "It's me, Toad Red. You're boyfriend."
'Boyfriend?' Nemesis thought in shock before the door of the castle finally, opened who had just opened the door...
He appears to a tall man although still shorter than even Nemesis, wearing a plumber outfit consisting of a green hat with a letter 'L' on top, a green shirt with white gloves and wearing blue overalls ans brown shoes and all the while, have a mustache with a short black hair and finally, him having a bulbous nose.
'Holy shit, I just saw a real life video game character that isn't a cosplay. It is, indeed, real.' Nemesis thought as he looked at Luigi who look around in uncertainty, turning his head left and right, as if something will come out and harm him or something.
Luigi then sigh in relief, "Whew, thank goodness..." He then looked at Toad Red and said, "Come on. Before the rioters show up."
"You have no idea..." Toad Red said as Luigi get him in with Nemesis following behind him as Luigi give a look around once before slamming the door shut.
Finally inside, as Nemesis look around the interior of the castle of Princess Peach, Luigi then takes a deep breath, calming himself before saying in the most calm and collected manner possible...
"PLEASE TELL ME SOMEBODY FINALLY COMES!?"
Luigi yelled as the most calm and collected manner in his own way possible.
"Now, calm down, Luigi..." Toad Red tried to assured him but is interrupted by Luigi's ranting.
"DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF PRINCESS PEACH IS EVER GONE!?" Luigi yelled out hysterically and before anyone can answer, Luigi answered it for him, "CHAOS! DISORDER! CARNAGE! RIOTS! VERY BAD ATTEMPTS AT COSPLAYING FOR THE APOCALYPSE! THAT SORT OF THING!"
"I AM CALM! I AM VERY CALM! I AM ABSOLUTELY CALM ON WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THE MUSHROOM ROOM WERE TO EVER GO ON A RIOT! IT'S BAD ENOUGH THAT I CAN'T JUST LEAVE WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT MORE MOLOTOV COCKTAILS THROWING AT ME AND I TRIED TO AVOID THE FLAMES AS FAR AS MY FITNESS TRAINING GOES... Which I might remind you, is very productive when you think about it... BUT ALSO THE FACT THAT I DON'T KNOW IF JOINING MY BROTHER UPON THIS WORLD IS ACTUALLY WORTH IT! OH, WHY DID I JOIN MARIO WHEN I KNOW THAT IT ISN'T SAFE! WHY DO I THINK THAT THIS IS-"
Luigi's ranting is interrupted when suddenly, much to Nemesis' shock, kissed him.
This made Luigi look shocked but then, he closed his eyes as he started to enjoy the kiss he is given.
After that is all done, Luigi give a sigh and said to Toad Red, "Thanks, I needed that."
"You're welcome, boyfriend." Toad Red with a wink.
'Wow! So that's how gay people kissed. I mean, hooray for Ho Yay, I guess?' Nemesis thought, not knowing how to react to this.
"What's going on, over there?"
Nemesis heard a voice with a distinct Italian accent as he turned to see the familiar character from the video game he knows of.
He appears to be similar to Luigi only this one is much shorter and stouter with his red hat with the letter 'M' plastered in front, red shirt, blue overalls, white gloves brown shoes alongside his bulbous nose and mustache upon his face.
Nemesis nonetheless recognized the one and only Mario as he walked down the stairs as Luigi and Toad Red noticed him.
"Oh, nothing, Mario. Just you're brother being the same hysterical wreck he always is... Hehehehe..." Toad Red said with a chuckle.
"Oh, tell me about it..." Mario said while rolling his eyes, "Even the many adventures we're in, he's still the same brother who thinks there is something scary upon a valley that we once gone to camp together..." He chuckled as well.
"Hey, there is something looking at us on top of that valley and I swear it..." Luigi said while crossing his arms and pout.
"Awwww, it's okay..." Mario said as he pat his brother upon his green hat, "I still cared about you."
"Well, you know you always do..." Luigi said with a soft smile.
"Ahem..." Nemesis called them out as Luigi, Mario and Toad Red noticed him, "Forgetting someone?"
"Oh, yeah..." Mario said in realization, "You must be the mercenary that SMG4 hired to rescue Princess Peach, right?"
"Yeah, and you must be Mario and you have a break up with the Princess, right?" Nemesis said as he looked in disappointment and disapproval.
"Hey, don't take such a thing out of context..." Mario said ruefully at him, "We maybe exes but that doesn't mean we ain't friends. I would have gone to rescue Peach from Bowser again but apparently, SMG4 wanted to hire a mercenary because... I don't know... he said it is for the memes, I think?"
"Okay, can someone tell me who the hell is SMG4?" Nemesis called out in frustration, wanting to know who is this SMG4 anyway.
"Ask and you shall receive."
Nemesis heard someone and turned around to see who is it.
He appears to be just as short as both Luigi and Mario and is dressed similarly to both Mario and Luigi as well only his hat being blue and having a letter 'S' in front, wears a white vest over his blue shirt and finally, wearing a peach and red coloured scarf encircling over his neck.
As for his face, he also looks much younger and his nose being more normal than bulbous, not even having a mustache alongside having blue eyes.
"What's up..." He said as he then show his hands towards Nemesis, "Names SMG4. You must be the guy that got my message, right?"
"Uh... Yeah..." Nemesis said in caution and uncertainty.
"Good. Now, I believe that you had a lot of questions in regard towards..." SMG4 looked at him even more and said, "Whatever you're situation." Then SMG4 raised his hands up and said, "And I know what you're thinking, 'Am I in some sort of Isekai anime situation or something and that I woke up in a video game world', right?"
"Wait, you knew-"
"Yup. Now..." SMG4 then looked at his friends and said, "I'll be having a conversation with..." He then looked at him and said, "What's your name again?"
"Nemesis the Warlock..." Nemesis introduced himself to SMG4.
"Really..." SMG4 said in befuddlement, "You have issues..."
Nemesis would have responded with whatever SMG4 means by that before he was being pulled by him to somewhere, "Again. You're questions will be answered when we go to someplace private
Now, come on, Nemesis." SMG4 said as he continue to pull Nemesis to somewhere.
After Luigi, Mario and Toad Red are left to themselves, Luigi then asked, "So. What do we do now?"
"Hey, Mario..."
Mario heard someone call his name to see another another Toad person much like Toad Red only that his colour of his vest and mushroom hat are blue as Toad Blue said, "Want to continue where we left off?"
Both Mario and Luigi looked at each other and said, "Want to make love with our respective boyfriends?"
"Do I ever?" Luigi said in excitement.
Meanwhile, in what can be described as the dining room of the castle...
Both Nemesis and SMG4 are now alone as they began their discussion.
"So, I know you had a lot of questions. So let's start with the first thing you want to know..." SMG4 said as he prepares himself.
"Oh, I have a lot of questions, alright? Like..." He then started to began his questions, "Who are you? Where am I really? What happened to me that makes me become this? And finally..." He then delivered his next and final question, "Can I call you Smegfor? It's kind of hard to type your words without constantly getting typos."
"Sure. Go ahead..." SMG4, now called Smegfor as he is called, "As for who I am? I am a YouTuber who makes videos on Memes. You know me, right?"
"Nope. Never heard of you." Nemesis bluntly stated.
"W-what? But I'm the guy who has like, a thousand of subscribers. How the hell do you not know me?" Smegfor asked in an aghast tone.
"Not really. First time knowing you, thought. I mean, the only YouTuber I know are VanossGaming and DevilArtemis so..." Nemesis just shrugged and said, "Not my fault that you're not memorable."
"Damn it. Of all the people that got my message, it isn't a fan of mine..." Smegfor said in disappointment, "As for your other questions, what you wake up in are basically a world that you know from any anime, cartoons, video games and the like having a massive multi-crossover of epic proportions where they converge into one planet..." Smegfor explained it to Nemesis.
"So, I'm basically a-"
"Yup. You're a self-insert in a power fantasy. So, congratulations for coming here." Smegfor said with a grin while giving Nemesis a thumbs up.
"Okay, but that doesn't explain on who you are or what you are? I mean, if you're a YouTuber, then-"
"Yes, I know..." Smegfor said with a shrug, "I'm just as much of a self-insert as you are although unlike you, I'm not some guy who tries to be edgy. I mean, the name of yours... Can't you ever be anymore on-the-nose than that?"
"Agh... Give me a break... It is a game character I made and I can make it however I please..." Nemesis said it ruefully to him, "Seriously, though. Why am I here?"
"Why are you here? Well, don't you want to live a fantasy like those Isekai anime shows you probably watch. Like, being a badass and getting the bitches?" Smegfor explained it to him.
Beneath his helmet, he could blush before looking away, making Smegfor smirk and said, "Hah, so you do want to be one, huh?"
"Okay, fine. I admit it that I want to be one... Even if the genre has become so popular that it sucks..." Nemesis muttered the last part, "That doesn't answer the question on why you basically chose me?" Nemesis said, pointing at himself.
"Technically, I didn't. I just only found you when I did my videos and found your name on the message board. Still a try hard name, by the way..."
Nemesis just crossed his arm, being not okay with being called 'a try hard', "But why me, basically? If you're just like me by being a self-insert, then why aren't you the one that will rescue Princess Peach. And why do you keep Mario from rescuing her, anyway?"
"Because I want to make the memes..." Smegfor said, much to Nemesis' bewilderment, "Hey, I'm a YouTuber and I did it all to make videos. Not be some hero. You realize how much effort that has to make me?"
Nemesis crossed his arm once again, looking at Smegfor in disapproval, "Hey, don't judge me, okay? It would have been boring if I ever did make an effort."
"Right..." Nemesis said, still looking in disapproval, "And making Luigi and Mario homosexual. Do you have something to do with that?"
"Maybe? Maybe not. Well, it doesn't matter..." Smegfor said, "What matters is the fact that you go out there, be a badass, get the girls and finally, you win. Easy peasy lemon squeezy."
"I... I don't know... doesn't this feel... I don't know how to say this... wrong?" Nemesis said, sounding hesitant about this.
"Ugh... You probably the guy that watch too many of those deconstruction shows and video games and look in things in a more negative angle. Look, from the information I can gather from your name..." Smegfor then gives a finger of quotation, "Nemesis the Warlock, you have become something that has become powerful in the virtual gaming world and then become powerful in real life. Whatever life you have before in the real world is all gone because... damned... 2138... which is basically a freaking dystopia that makes even Cyberpunk looks like heaven... can't blame you for choosing gaming over life..."
"How did you know all of that?" Nemesis asked again, showing concern and somewhat violated over his privacy being exposed.
"Didn't I tell you? I'm almost a God in this world although 'almost' is the word since I still have limitations or whatever..." Smegfor explained it again to Nemesis, "Look, the point is, you now have a new life here, a new start, maybe find love and then a few more if you're lucky and then... well... from what profile I get over your personality, you love to fight, huh? Don't you?"
"Well... I... Uh..."
"So, what do you say, Nemesis the Warlock? Do you go out there and be a badass and get the bitches? Or do nothing and... What exactly are you gonna do if you refused?" Smegfor said to him, waiting for his answer.
"Can you give me a minute?" Nemesis asked him as Smegfor gives him the 'okay' as Nemesis is mulling in his own thoughts, 'Okay, so I wake up in a world that is basically every anime, video game and movies I know, all rolled into one. I basically became my own Avatar and finally, I am in an Isekai situation where I am OP as fuck, be a badass, get the girls and maybe...' Nemesis blushed beneath his helmet, knowing what will happen if that ever continues, 'You know what? Fuck it...'
Nemesis then looked at Smegfor as he is waiting for his answer as Nemesis finally said, "Where Princess Peach is held at?"
Meanwhile, after Nemesis encounter with Smegfor...
Nemesis is then riding on a giant flaming bird as he flies above the sky as he is following where Smegfor is locating him towards, "So, if I follow this dot right here..." Nemesis said as he tapped into the holographic square floating in front of him, "I'll be at Bowser's Castle, no problem?"
"Yup. And even without it, you should know that he lived in the Dark Lands and unless you know Bowser, you know how full of himself he is..." Smegfor explained it to him.
"I don't know about this. Do I really need to save her and not leave this to Mario?" Nemesis said, once again shown to be uncertain.
"Ugh... This again? What did I just say about thinking into this too much and just go with the flow?" Smegfor said to him exasperation.
"It's not that. To be honest, I'm not a fan of Princess Peach. I'm more of a Zelda fan myself, especially her Breath of the Wild version..." Nemesis admitted before he realized something, "Wait, is she real too?"
"Yup, she's real as well."
"Awesome. But wait, is Link with her as well, cause I don't do break ups." Nemesis said cautiously.
"Yup, Link is also real..." Before Nemesis could curse at that notification, "But don't worry, Link is a girl so, if you want a threesome, just be patient, okay?" Smegfor said to Nemesis.
"Awesome..." Nemesis said in delight before he then stopped his Dragonfire Bird to a halt as he stares at something, "Smegfor. I found the location."
"Is it a castle that is dipped in lava and a lot of Bowser's head all over it?" Smegfor asked for a description.
From the description that Nemesis can get, it is indeed a castle that is surrounded by magma all over with the castle being surrounded by what can be described as turrets on top of it's roof and both the top and the entrance having the face of none other than Bowser himself with their mouth wide open.
Nemesis then bluntly said, "Yup."
"Oh, good. So, do you have a plan?" Smegfor asked Nemesis of what he is preparing for.
"A plan. Oh, I got one alright..." Nemesis said before ending the call and then ordering the Dragonfire Bird to fly straight towards the castle like how the Japanese pilots performed their kamikaze.
A deafening explosion is heard as the force almost results in the castle creak from the blow as Nemesis walked through the flames, dusting himself off before finding himself surrounded.
"So..." Nemesis look around as Bowser's army are surrounding him, "You must be the army that's giving me the welcoming party, huh?"
"Koopas..." Nemesis called out, seeing the reptilian-turtle-like race that are all armed with spears, swords, wear only helmets, have skin that are green alongside their bulbous nose as they glare at Nemesis, readying their respective weapons against him.
"Goombas..." Nemesis called out the weird mushroom-like race that appears to have eyes, a mouth full of fangs and all walking around in their stubby feet.
"And... Whatever those things are?" Nemesis called out in uncertainty, showing a weird creature that is very turtle like if they walk around on all fours are an indication alongside wearing shells with sharp spikes on top.
And they give a dejected sighs at not being called out by their names.
"Whatever. Anyway, why don't you guys just buzz off before this gets ugly? So, we're gonna do this the easy way..." The Nemesis gives a glare and say, "Or the hard way."
One of the Koopas let's out a battle cry and throw his spear at Nemesis and everyone followed suit as they throw their spears at the intruder.
Nemesis just stare without flinching and both his hands are engulfed in flames as those same spears melt before they could touch him, burning them towards the floor, much to the shock of Bowser's army.
Then, Nemesis has one to nonchalantly say, "Hard way it is, then."
Then Nemesis takes out his Blade of Dragon's Chosen, his Crescent Dragon Horn and his Tome of Draconic Exultation and as he then prepared himself, with a thrust of flames from his feet, charge forth towards Bowser's Army and give one long slash from his blade.
This results in some of the Koopas being blown away by the slash as Nemesis prepares his assault, swinging his swords and spears around as he bulldozed every Koopa and Goomba in his path.
All the while, his floating Tome suddenly opened it a cover as it flipped it's pages around as some of the Koopas ready their weapons and tried to flank Nemesis.
Unfortunately for them, the Tome stopped flipping it's pages as a magic circle appeared, firing a torrential barrages of fire balls straight towards the flanking Koopas as they blown away from the explosion.
Nemesis then slash another Koopa and then slash another alongside stomping a Goomba in his tracks.
Then he looked at those weird spiked turtle things as it noticed his stare and tries to waddle away in fear.
Nemesis stabbed his sword on the ground before picking up the creature as it desperately tried to free itself from his hold before Nemesis gives a smirk behind his helmet and in a motion of a disc thrower, spin himself around and cast, "Flame Enshrouded Armament." as the creature is now enshrouded in flames and throws them at the majority at the Koopas and Goombas who all got hit by the spiked and flame coated shell as it hit from one enemy to another in a pinball position until finally, the last one got hit so hard, he can only see stars before falling to unconscious.
The spiked turtle thing now falls on the floor as it finally stops burning, being really dizzy before plopping to the ground in a daze.
Nemesis looked around the aftermath, seeing so many of the army by him as he hefted his Spear across his shoulder and said, "Hah, is that the best Bowser's army can offer me? Hardly worth the effort. Now, who's next?" He boast for everyone to come to him, not knowing that one of those spiked turtle things is hiding behind one of the unconscious Koopas, trembling in fear as it tried to hide beneath it's shell.
"Ask and you shall receive, intruder."
Nemesis heard someone called him out and saw who is approaching him.
He appears to be just like one of the Koopas, only that he appears to be wearing a wizard robe of sort with the blue pointed hat and blue robes covering his body alongside wearing glasses and carrying what appears to be what Nemesis could describe as either a magic wand, a staff or a scepter that is coloured gold and is encrusted with a red ruby on top.
'Who is this guy again? It's Kamek, right?' Nemesis thought, seeing the Koopas wearing a wizard robes.
Standing beside Kamek appears to be another Koopa...
This one appearing to be, as Nemesis can see it, appears to be taller, broader and seemed to be more serious than the Koopa he knows, with a distinct blue shell on his back, on top of his head with a distinct Bowser's face on it alongside on its pauldrons while it is not only tipped in sharp white spikes but from his back, he also has white wings on it.
'Weird. Didn't recognize this character in any Mario games I know...' Nemesis thought in confusion of this new character before puffing his chest up, "So, you guys must be the 'elites' of this 'army', right?" Nemesis empathize the words in quotation, even barely holding a chuckle at that.
"I assure you, intruder that while he may have bested our 'best' armies Bowser has to offer..." Kamek explained, even doing the quotation motion as well, showcasing even he is not denying it, "Underestimate us and you shall know the consequences of your actions..." He said in a calm and collected tone.
"Okay..." Nemesis said dismissively, "Why don't you just walk away before you could feel humiliated?" He then ready his weapons as he prepares for battle.
Kamek gives a sadistic chuckle as he said, "Oh, you're one cocky intruder, aren't you?" He then turned to the blue shelled Koopa as he said, "General. Why don't you show our guest the consequences of letting pride getting the better of them?"
"Gladly..." The Koopa General said as he approach Nemesis without any hint of fear or hesitation.
"Okay, little guy..." Nemesis said in a dismissive and condescending tone to the Koopa General, "I'm only doing this because I'm feeling kind of bad so..." He then gives a cheek as he said, "Why don't you give the first hit? And after that, I'll go easy on you, okay?"
Before Nemesis could get his response, he was then hit in the face by something really fast and really hard, making him drop his weapons as he skidded across the floor.
"Ugh... What just happened?" Nemesis groan before looking at what hit him, seeing the flying Koopa General who is glowing in a blue aura, is glaring at Nemesis.
"I didn't become the General of Bowser's army by being spineless, cowardly and weak, fool..." The Koopa General said in spite, even spitting as he glared at Nemesis, "And the name is Blue Shell. GENERAL BLUE SHELL!" Blue Shell introduced himself in a venomous tone as he spin himself around and fly straight towards Nemesis.
Nemesis is about to intercept only to find his body being held by some of purple force, making him paralyzed as he was then hit by Blue Shell, the metal clang is heard from the hit as Nemesis groan.
"And I didn't become the most powerful wizard that has the honour of being in the grace of Bowser's glory..." Kamek explained as he held his glowing staff, "Now, General Blue Shell. FINISH HIM OFF!"
"WITH PLEASURE!" Blue Shell responded back as he turn around and hit the paralyzed Nemesis again in gusto.
Blue Shell then continue to fly around and hit Nemesis without, ramming him in full force as sparks fly from the metallic hit while Kamek continue to hold him in place with his magic, leaving Nemesis from the continued assault.
Kamek grinned sadistically as he deviously has an idea and started to let go of Nemesis, releasing him from his hold before Blue Shell comes and rammed on his left side.
The force let him fly before Kamek catches him with his telekinetic magic and brought him towards Blue Shell again as the Koopa General spins and rammed him straight to his gut.
Nemesis groan from the hit as he is slammed into the wall, even leaving a humanoid silhouette on the crack as Blue Shell bounce back.
Then he is shrouded in purple aura again and Kamek lift him off the wall before slamming him to anywhere and everywhere, making the castle creak from the hit before Kamek carried Nemesis up in the air where, as Kamek let Nemesis go, he is then slammed down by Blue Shell, slamming straight across the floor.
Blue Shell then get himself out from the crater as he stretched himself from the strain as bones are creaking from the sound of it as the Koopa General gives a dismissive scoff as he walked back towards Kamek who laughed maniacally at that.
"Hahahahaha... Now, you shall learn the lesson of underestimating us. And the pain we shall bring upon those who dares to intrude on Bowser and his grand ambition..." Kamek declared with absolute zealous in his tone.
Nemesis groan as he tried to get himself out of the crater as Kamek looked at him and just chuckled, "Oh, do you want a round two? Cause I'll tell you this..." Kamek ready his magic staff while Blue Shell glowed while readying his wings, "The pain you feel will be eternal."
Nemesis, however, just gives a chuckle and said, "I gotta admit. You little guys do bark as much as you bite. I'm man enough to know that I shouldn't look at things lightly, no matter how lightly I take them."
"Hmph, glad you understand..." Kamek harrumph at that.
"However..." Nemesis then glared at Kamek and Blue Shell as he said, "Why don't you do yourself a good favour and preach what you practise, pricks?" Nemesis then stand and cast, "Animate Breathe: Dragonfire Golem." as Nemesis breathes out a torrent of flame from where his mouth is and landed straight towards the floor.
Kamek and Blue Shell look shocked at this before Kamek laugh in a mocking manner of what effort Nemesis shows, especially when he basically.
Only for a rumble to occur and suddenly, the location that Nemesis had roared his flames towards is starting in a combination of flames and stone until finally, it starts to form something...
Said form is a giant volcanic humanoid golem creature that now towers over both Kamek and Blue Shell as they both stare in absolute shock and horror at what they are seeing.
"You two, I would like you to meet my Dragonfire Golem. Now, my creation..." Nemesis gives a glare and said, "Sic' em."
The Dragonfire Golem groan from the movement as it caught sight of the two as it then ready it's fist and attempted to smash them.
Kamek hastily erected a purple barrier surrounding himself as it stopped the punch from coming towards him although considering how it fizzles, Kamek sweats as he holds onto his magic.
Blue Shell is about to assist Kamek only to be stopped by a fire ball exploding in front of him, the force of the explosion pushing him away as the Koopa General land on his feet before glaring at Nemesis, who is now armed with his sword and spear in hand.
"Ain't you forgetting someone, General?" Nemesis called out to the Koopa General, aiming his spear at him.
Blue Shell grunt as his body glowed blue as he spins around and is flying and charging straight towards Nemesis with reckless abandon.
Nemesis is more than prepared as his Tome continue to fire at Blue Shell with its fire ball spells but the Koopa General just shrug off all of the fire balls as he is getting closer before Nemesis just parry the attack off of him.
Blue Shell falls to the side before continuing his spin as Nemesis' Tome continue to spam fire balls at Blue Shell but the Koopa General deftly dodged it all, even do a zigzag motion as Nemesis raised his sword up and slammed it towards Blue Shell.
Then the Koopa General surprised him by basically jump away from the downward strike as Blue Shell jump over Nemesis and then rammed his from behind.
This stuns Nemesis as is stunned before Blue Shell spinned some more and charge again towards Nemesis but the Warlock is quick to block the spinning attack with his two weapons together, trying to push the Koopa General back as hard as he can as sparks started flying from their assault against each other.
Then his Tome started to flip it's pages continuously until finally, a magic circle appeared and out came a giant flaming serpentine dragon appeared from the circle as it engulfed the Koopa General, pushing him away from Nemesis.
The Koopa General is now at the mercy of Nemesis' Flame Wyrm spell and as the Blue Shell is then being played by the semi-sentient flame attack, Nemesis can hear yelling, "HOT! HOT! HOT! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP! PLEASE, MAKE IT STOP!"
"Alright, then..." Nemesis said as the Flame Wyrm dispersed, leaving Blue Shell fall while his very body is covered in soot and burn marks as Nemesis prepare his next attack spell, casting, "Dragonfire Claw Attack." which results in a flaming claw appeared on his left hand and clawed the Koopa General straight far, crashing him into a wall as the Koopa General is now in a daze before he is dislodged and falling down.
Nemesis gives a huff before looking at his Dragonfire Golem handling with Kamek as the Koopa Wizard/Mage/Sorcerer tried to hold the giant fire golem with his telekinesis but unfortunately, Kamek is almost at his wit's end as his sweat drops as he tried to keep the Dragonfire Golem from crushing him.
He is basically put out of his misery by Nemesis punching him square in the face, knocking him out as Nemesis is now alone with his Dragonfire Golem as his company.
"Now then, Golem..." Nemesis called out to his creation, "Let's go save the princess..." He then point forward and commanded him to, "Now, smash this apart!"
The Dragonfire Golem complied as it raised it's fist and smash what is right in front of where Nemesis is pointing at...
The entrance collapse in utter destruction as Nemesis, alongside his Dragonfire Golem, find themselves in what can be described as a throne room of molten lava and superheated interior running amok.
"Well, well. I've been waiting for you..." Nemesis heard a deep voice as he saw who spoke.
He appears to be a really big and really muscular, large, towering and an intimidating combination of a dragon and a turtle with the sharp spikes and all that and in fact, the closest he has to wearing clothes are his black arm bands on that are strapped on his muscles especially as they are also tipped by spikes, alongside the puff of red hair on top of his scary head who are also tipped with curved horns at that.
Overall, Nemesis recognized him as the iconic villain of the Mario franchise, Bowser himself.
"You may have best warriors and my 'best' armies I have made..." Bowser said, making a quotation motion with his fingers, "But you are too late. With Princess Peach giving me a hand of marriage, all shall know that Bowser has finally have a chance in marriage and love and no one-" Bowser stopped his rant when he gives a look-over to Nemesis, "I'm sorry but who the fuck are you?"
"Nemesis the Warlock..." Nemesis introduced himself to Bowser who look bewildered at his introduction.
"Really? You have issues..." Bowser remarked at that, making Nemesis give a 'Why does everyone keep saying that?' look, "Anyway, why isn't Mario here?"
"Mario is on his own honeymoon..." Nemesis answered.
"He did..." Bowser said in a delighted tone, "Hah, that means he accepts the reality that Princess Peach is now mine and mine alone."
"Not really..." Nemesis denies that, "He would but one of his friends hired me to rescue the princess from your hands..." Nemesis then showed off his spear and blade in hand and said, "And that's me."
"Hahaha..." Bowser laughed condescendingly and said, "You? Defeat me? And what makes you think that, huh?"
"Glad you asked, pal..." Nemesis said as the Dragonfire Golem come forward, looking down at Bowser in it's intimidating volcanic glare as Nemesis, "Now, do you yield?"
Instead of being intimidated by the flaming golem, Bowser just gives a malicious grin and said, "I think not..." He said softly as Bowser jump up really high and falling straight towards the Dragonfire Golem.
The Golem moved as it tried to punch Bowser in the air only for Bowser to punch the incoming fist and break the Dragonfire Golem into pieces with ease as Bowser gives a perfect landing before he once again, gives a malicious grin at Nemesis and said, "That the best you can do?"
Then, Bowser look around, wondering where Nemesis is at since he disappeared from him only to feel a hit on his left cheek that left him careening on the floor as he stopped careening before glaring at Nemesis, "Not really..." He said as he heft the spear over his shoulder, "Now, why don't you show your how much you bark is more than you bite, bitch?"
Bowser just grinned and said, "I'll show bite..." Bowser then let's out a roar of flames from his mouth, shooting them against Nemesis in tow.
However, Nemesis then thrust himself as he charged towards Bowser of flames from a flaming dragon-wings on his back as he pushed through Bowser's flames and punch him in the cheek, interrupting his roar.
Nemesis then turns around as his Tome let's out a magic circle and fire a torrent of fire balls from it, firing in continuous rapid succession against Bowser but the Koopa King just blocked with his arms as he charged towards Nemesis, giving a roar as he attempt to slash Nemesis.
Nemesis parried the claw attack as sparks fly while Bowser keeps on swinging his claws against the Warlock as Nemesis continues to fly and parry every attack from Bowser with his blade and spear in hand.
Bowser growled in frustration as he raised his fists up and let them down in an attempt to crush him but Nemesis then casted, "Dragonfire Roar." and let out a torrent of flame from where his mouth is, pushing him away as the torrent of flames blow Bowser off.
Nemesis is sent careening as he used his spear and blade to stab the floor to halt his push while Bowser shakes himself from the torrent of flames as he glared at Nemesis, "Impressive firepower you have there, Nemesis the Warlock. But it's useless when you're up against one that bathe in heat." He said as he then displayed his roar of flames from his mouth.
"You would do well to not underestimate me. You maybe born with your literal firepower but don't take lightly to somebody that controls the flames in my hand..." Nemesis said as he twirl his spear around and aimed it at Bowser.
Bowser just mockingly chuckled as he jump up and prepare to dropped towards Nemesis with an elbow hit as Nemesis conjure his dragon wings and fly away to dodged the elbow attack.
The Koopa King then swipe the dust off as he tried to find where Nemesis is only for feeling his left cheek being slashed by the flying Nemesis with his flaming dragon wings in tow.
"Oh..." Bowser said as he wiped his slash with his hand, "You think you're tough shit, huh?"
"Tough enough to beat a tyrannical bully like you..." Nemesis said as he charge towards as Bowser attempted to claw him, "You're arrogant..." He parried the claw attack, "Undisciplined..." He parried another, "Untrained..." He parried some more, "Overconfident..." He was then punched by that remark but Nemesis blocked it as the Warlock glared at Bowser, "A flaw that I'm willing to exploit..."
Nemesis' Tome started to flip it's pages before a magic circle appeared, firing a rapid assault of fireballs while Nemesis then casted, "Flame Beam." as Nemesis conjured a magic circle and fired a beam of flame from the circle towards Bowser.
Bowser covered himself from the firepower he is assaulted by as he blocked it all without even flinching.
The assault continued as dust started forming and after Nemesis is done with his assault, Bowser swiped the dust and roared at Nemesis as he charged at the Warlock.
"Oh yeah..." He then gives a double claw attack against Nemesis which almost break the Warlock's guard as Nemesis continued his assault upon the Dragonfire Adept, "Big talk coming from someone who is weak..." Bowser clawed him hard as Nemesis blocked the attack as he gets pushed back, "A fool..." He clawed him another, "A one-trick pony..." He then kicked him hard which actually broke his guard, "Who thinks he can defeat me with my own element..." Bowser then spin himself around, using his tail to slap Nemesis away, "Let me show you how I roar..."
He then gives a devious chuckle as he prepared to let his fire breath against Nemesis.
But instead of releasing a torrent of flames from his mouth against Nemesis, he found himself unable to let it out.
Confused, he tried to breathe it out, roared it out, anything to let out his fire breathe yet not only is he unable to breathe it out, he found himself choking from the fire in his mouth and throat.
Nemesis' Tome started then casted a magic circle upon it's pages as he takes his stance as he said, "Flame Control. A spell where I control the very flames that is close to my presence..." He then began explaining as he said, "Even an enemy who controls the fire like dragons and fire elementals are basically putty to my control. Just like what I'm doing to you..."
Bowser is now choking, clawing upon his throat as he tried to breathe as Nemesis then cast another spell, "Fire Wyrm." where Nemesis swings his blade around and conjured a swarm of small serpentine dragons that are flowing towards Bowser and bite his body, making Bowser widened his eyes in shock, showcasing that he is now in pain.
Then, Nemesis' Tome started to conjure a magic circle and throw flames upon Bowser's mouth, making Bowser desperately tried to claw his throat as he starts to cough.
Until finally, Nemesis then takes a stance and throws his Crescent Dragon Horn spear and throws it like a javelin at Bowser's mouth, causing a devastating explosion upon the Koopa King.
As the dust finally subsidies, Bowser is now in a dazed, completely covered in soot as cough a smoke before face planting himself down as Nemesis gives smirk and said, "No hard feelings, your highness but if you'll excuse me, please. I have a princess to rescue."
Nemesis said nonchalantly as he walked past the downed Bowser and prepare to rescue Princess Peach from captivity.
"No..."
Nemesis halt in his tracks as he heard Bowser speaking, looking at him as he tries to stand up despite the state he is in, "You don't get to say in this. I am Bowser. The Bowser. The King of the Dark Lands and all of these world has to offer. I am big. I am strong. I am powerful. I am mighty. I am someone that Peach should fawned over and pledge her love to me. Yet, it's either a plumber like Mario or some faker with issues like you, Nemesis the Warlock..." Bowser said, glaring at Nemesis and towering over him, "All should be worshipping me and I should deserved a beautiful lady like Peach. And I will not stop until she confess her love to me. Not even to someone as worthless... foolish... insignificant... fucking... loser-"
His rant is interrupted when Nemesis jump back to dodge something that just smashed Bowser, stopping his ranting.
Looking at it, Nemesis saw that Bowser had been crushed by one of the statue heads of Bowser and he can hear Bowser is still alive from the crash that just happened to him, "Holy shit. What just happened?"
"I'll tell you, though. Maybe that hit would finally make him stop with the whole kidnapping thing..."
Nemesis turned around after he heard a female and behind his helmet, his eyes widened at a really beautiful sight.
Standing before him appears to be a young woman with long blonde hair and blue eyes while also wearing a crown and her body is shown to be incredibly developed in the right proportions, especially when she seemed to wear some sort of pink and blue leotard that empathised how damn sexy she looks.
Actually, from what Nemesis can only look, he couldn't believe how incredibly attractive Peach is, 'Wow. Mario must have made a mistake for breaking up with her.'
Peach seemed to notice Nemesis' presence as she said, "I'm sorry but who are you? I thought you're..." She then gives a withdrawn expression and said, "Someone else."
"Oh, I'm sorry. But I'm the mercenary that Mario's friend had called to rescue you..." Nemesis explained while chuckling awkwardly.
"Really?" Peach said before looking ruefully and said, "Let me guess, is it the one that looks like he is a sibling to Mario and Luigi but isn't, always making YouTube videos about memes or something and just being annoying?"
"Yes." Nemesis bluntly answered, making Peach click her tongue in annoyance at that.
"Damn it. Seriously, what does Mario see in the guy?" Peach said in irritation before looking at Nemesis as she then put a proper pose and said, "Now, then. May I know the name of my rescuer and of course, show me his face as per tradition and respect?"
"Oh, okay..." Nemesis said in acceptance, "I'll do that." He said as he moved his hands upon his helmet and takes it out, revealing Peach the identity of her saviour as she looked upon him in awe and astonishment.
Without his helmet, Nemesis appears as a young man with a very youthful appearance with short and messy black hair alongside having pointed ears as well alongside some sort of markings on both of his cheeks.
"Oh, my..." Peach said while staring in awe, "I didn't know that my saviour would be so cute and handsome."
Nemesis blush at the compliment and bashfully said, "Well, coming from one as beautiful as you, that's something of a high praise, there."
"Oh, well..." Peach blushed at the compliment before giving a deadpan stare and said, "Is it because I'm still wearing my exercising suit, right?"
"... Maybe?" Nemesis awkwardly answered her.
"Hmph, well..." Peach gives a huff of indignation before smirking, crossing her arms over her chest, making her boobs more pronounced as she said, "Do you like what you see?"
"I don't accept yet not refuse on what I see..." Nemesis asked robotically at her question.
Peach giggled at that and said, "Sorry, just messing with you..." She said as she gives a wink before walking off as she said, "Now, shall we be off, Sir..."
"Nemesis..." Nemesis introduced himself, "Nemesis the Warlock."
"Nemesis, huh?" Peach grinned in acknowledgement before giving a curtsy as far as her leotard gives her as she said, "Well, my name is Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom and despite your status as one for hire, there is no reason to be ungrateful to one who saved a damsel like me."
"A damsel? You? If you are, then you would have been here, possibly trapped in some dungeon or something..." Nemesis counteract that with a chuckle.
"Well, being a damsel is a really tiring work and I have to do something about it. And I could have handled my escape very well..." Peach said in confidence, "But nonetheless, thanks for saving me. And looking at the state you give to Bowser..." Peach looked at the Bowser head statue, the groaning sound of pain are still heard beneath it, "I'm grateful that you give that entitled bully a good thrashing."
"Once again, princess. That's high praise coming from a beautiful princess like you..." Nemesis said with a chuckle.
Peach giggled as she said, "Oh, what a flatterer you. So..." Peach then gives her hand to Nemesis as she said, "Shall we my, my noble knight in shining armour?"
Nemesis gives a smile at her statement before giving a bow and said, "It'll be my pleasure, my lady."

Finally at the Mushroom Kingdom...
Nemesis and Peach, now flying on the Dragonfire Bird and upon the kingdom that is now on the verge of a riot, now lands as they both disembark while Peach and Nemesis, tucking his helmet underneath his armpit, stare in a deadpan expression as the Toads people are screaming, yelling and basically being crazy people as they burn down their houses with everything they got...
"So... Uh... Does your people-"
"Unfortunately..." Peach said, palming her face as she shakes her head, "I sure wish someone would at least put out the fire cause seriously, the bill to repair the kingdom can almost make me pull my hair at this..." She said, almost on the verge of yelling in a hysterical manner.
"Well, I believe I can fix that..." Nemesis said as he raised his hand forward and casted, "Flame Absorption." which results in the many flames that are burning the house are now flowing straight towards Nemesis with the Warlock even feeling himself being revitalized from both the pain and the MP usage he had used up to perform his spells, 'Damn. I didn't know that the Toads people performing a riot would actually be a blessing. Although, better not say that out loud when Peach is in ear shot.'
As all of the flames are finally absorbed into the palm Nemesis, putting the fires out as the houses are left charred and burned, the Toads people realized that the Princess as they leap and celebrate in joy.
"Yay, the princess is here."
"Hallelujah."
"The kingdom is safe."
"You are in so much trouble, my people..." Peach said in a tone like a mother scolding her children, "Just because I'm gone, doesn't mean you have to perform a riot. Now, I want anyone who is responsible for this to walk into prison, this instant."
Even when being given a threat by the Princess, the Toads still remains cheerful and joyful at her words.
"Yay, we're being punished."
"Hallelujah."
"Let's go to prison, everybody."
Peach gives a huff of annoyance at that as she flicked her hair before looking at Mario, Luigi and Smegfor alongside Toad Red and Toad Blue approaching Peach and Nemesis.
Before Peach could say anything, she was then hugged by Luigi who cries and then cried out, "Princess, thank goodness you're here! It is a nightmare, princess! With you gone, your people are menace! They constantly throw Molotov Cocktails at me, chase me down with their pitchforks and torches and worse..." He gasped in horror and said, "After they captured me, they force me to watch that movie about us being... so realistic yet so fucked up that it is cringe... I mean, what the fuck was that?"
"Tell me about it..." Mario said while rolling his eyes, "'Me not jumping'? Such blasphemy there..." He answered as even he is cringed before looking at Peach and said, "Also, glad you're here, Princess Peach. Could have saved you..." He then point his thumb at Smegfor and said, "But somebody thought hiring a mercenary would do my job better because of course he would want to do that."
"Thank you, Mario and I appreciate what you say." Peach said while smiling at him before looking at Smegfor with a glare and said, "As for you, SMG4-"
"Call me, Smegfor, princess..." Smegfor interrupts her, "Wouldn't want the author to constantly misspell my name just because he is too impatient about it."
"Right, Smegfor..." Peach said with a twitch of her eyebrow, "Remind me again on why I shouldn't kick you for trying to save me and leave my kingdom in shambles?"
"Hey, don't blame me. And besides, it's all fine and dandy anyway. Plus..." Smegfor gives a wink and said, "At least I found someone that you have an eye on, right?"
"Well, I guess that's true..." Peach said as she blushed at that, "Nonetheless, if I wasn't in such a good mood and in need of a bath, I would slapped you so hard that you will walk through the rough terrains without food and water. Now, if you'll excuse me, please. I'll be off now." Peach said with a huff as she walked towards her castle while Mario, Luigi and the two Toads follow her.
"Meh, worth it..." Smegfor said with a shrug before looking at Nemesis as he said, "So, Nemesis the Warlock. How did it go?"
"How did it go?" Nemesis asked him in a trembling and restrained in furious tone as he continued, "How did it fucking go? Oh, I don't know. Like how I almost died as I get ass kicked short turtle reptile creatures and almost got killed by Bowser and you want to ask, 'how did it go'?"
"Yup, pretty much..." Smegfor said nonchalantly.
"IT'S FUCKING AWESOME! Usually, I thought I would breeze around what can be described as a children's game where everyone is weak and I am strong without any effort, whatsoever but who knew the threats I faced are legitimate badass. I mean, man. Facing those guys made my blood pumping hard..." Nemesis said excitedly as he pump both his fists in the air.
"Glad to see you're so happy. So, how's the princess?" Smegfor asked him which made Nemesis blush at that.
"W-well... I don't know what to say except that... She's actually really cute, by the way. Thought she'll be... too puffy cheek or something?" Nemesis admitted at the sight of how attractive Princess Peach is, especially by the leotard she is wearing that empathised her figure and beauty.
"Meh, probably the filter or something..."
"I'm sorry... The what?"
"As I said before, don't think about it too much..." Smegfor said to him, "And just so you know, there'll be another crazy adventure ahead of us and I hope you prepared for what's to come, from the high risk to the high rewards of it. So..." Smegfor then give his hands towards Nemesis as he said, "You in?"
Nemesis look at the hand and then at Smegfor as he said, "Facing epic bosses and getting the harem of my own dreams..." He then grins as he shake Smegfor's hand, "Why should I refuse?"

A spell that allows the caster to practically control the flames upon their fingertips, likewise either the surrounding or even their enemies which is perfect against dragons and fire elementals.
• Flame Absorption:
A spell made by the caster that allows them to absorbed any flaming element towards the user, basically healing them of their HP and MP until it is filled which is perfect against dragons and fire elementals.
