Chapter 11: Simmons

A/N: Who's ready to see one of the messed-up characters in the Resident Evil franchise? (Aside from the Baker family lol) Now that Simmons is tied to all of this, that means things are going to get even more crazy.

Someone asked which version of Leon is in this story. I'm guessing they mean appearance wise since his looks have changed a bit between movies and games. I personally liked his look in Infinite Darkness and Death Island since that look is very similar to his first appearance in 2 so I'm going with that look. However, if you guys liked his other looks then by all means you can picture him looking like that while you read this story. I'm sure it's not a big deal but since it was brought up I figured I'd say something lol.

Now onwards with the story!

Disclaimer: I don't own Resident Evil; I just own my characters.

Enjoy!

Leon felt his mouth go dry when he heard what Simmons said. That punk Jeremy was related to him? He wasn't informed that other staff members had children going to the same university as Nathan. That would have been super useful to know ahead of time. But then again he was sure Benford didn't know this either otherwise he would have told him this.

This didn't matter. Even if Jeremy was related to someone who worked for the President, he still needed to be held accountable for bothering Rachel. He would make sure of that.

Simmons scoffed as he sat on the chair opposite Benford. He was a busy man and he wasn't thrilled he got pulled away for something so minor and petty.

"What seems to be the problem? I find it hard to believe that my nephew would be stupid enough to mess with your son, Adam" he said.

"It wasn't my son he was bothering but rather a female student that was with him" Benford explained.

Simmons threw his hands up in disgust.

"What is this, middle school? I got pulled away from doing my duty to my country only for you to tell me that Jeremy was talking to an over emotional girl?"

Leon's hand curled into a fist as he heard Simmons talk. Now he can see how he was related to Jeremy with the way he talked about women.

"If she was being over emotional it was the fact that he was man handling her in front of everyone at their school" he snapped.

"When Nathan called me for help, I was greeted to the sight of your nephew grabbing Rachel by the arm so tightly that it left bruises all over her wrist. I don't know about you, but that is considered assault."

Benford looked angry the more he heard this. He always drilled in everyone's head to be respectful of women. He would not tolerate someone from his staff mistreating a woman.

He looked at his son seriously.

"Is this true, Nathan?"

Nathan quickly nodded.

"Yeah. When I ran into Rachel, she was freaked out about leaving campus cause she was scared that she was going to bump into him by herself. She mentioned that he threatened her in the library earlier today" he said.

"I offered to let her drive home with me so she wouldn't have to worry about running into him but he was waiting for her at the entrance. When we walked past him, he grabbed her by the arm and yanked her back to him rather harshly."

"Obviously something was going on between these two beforehand" Simmons interjected.

"I know Jeremy wouldn't act in such a way. I don't know what happened but I know he wouldn't be foolish enough to harass a woman in front of the campus where everyone could see. This girl clearly wanted attention and overreacted."

The more Simmons talked the more Leon felt his blood boil. He didn't bother to ask why his nephew acted the way he did. He just felt like it was Rachel's fault and that she caused this to happen. Leon didn't want to admit it but what Rachel said back in the park was true. They were going to try to brush this under the rug and forget that it happened.

Not on his watch. He wasn't going to ignore it and he wasn't going to let Rachel down.

"Who cares if she overreacted? Any girl would freak out if some guy grabbed them by the arm and tried to hurt her" he snapped.

"I don't know what caused this to happen but it doesn't matter. The fact is that a bunch of Nathan's guards including myself saw your nephew grab a woman and harmed her. And instead of staying around to explain the situation he freaked out that he got caught and shoved her out of the way so he could run away. If he was innocent he wouldn't have done that"

Simmons gave Leon an annoyed look. He was never fond of the agent. He was always too good at his job and saw things people overlooked. Just like now.

"I do find it rather odd that you're going out of your way to defend this mysterious girl when your job is to protect the President's son" he pointed out.

Leon know what he was trying to do and he wasn't going to fall for it. Jeremy wasn't going to get away with this.

"She was next to Nathan when this all happened. Nathan didn't get hurt but it he could have. If he's your nephew then he should have known that the President's son was attending the same school as he was. That way he wouldn't make an ass out of himself like he did today."

Simmons growled and stood up from his seat. The Simmons family had helped shaped this country for decades. He was not going to let a punk agent ruin things that he had perfected over the years.

"Be that as it may, I don't know what caused this situation to happen so I see no reason to punish my nephew. Now that my time has been wasted, I'll be on my way" he said.

"Listen up, Rach. Since you have your head so far up your pussy let me make it easier for you to understand"

Everyone froze when they heard that. Slowly, they turned to Nathan who had his phone out where he played a video of what happened between Rachel and Jeremy.

The student had a shit eating grin on his face as he held his phone up for all of them to see what had transpired.

"Oh would you look at that? It seems when I was calling Leon for help, I had my camera on the whole time" he said innocently.

Leon was horrified and disgusted as he heard the things Jeremy said to Rachel when he grabbed her. No wonder she was upset when he came to help her.

Benford was furious as he watched the video. He turned his attention to Simmons.

"Is this how your family treats women, Derek?" he snapped.

Simmons was at a lose for words. He was furious alright, but not because his nephew acted like an ass. He was furious that he was stupid enough to get caught. He quickly realized that everyone was looking at him and quickly masked his fury for one of horror.

"I have no words, sir. I assure you that I had no idea this was how Jeremy was acting while on campus. I am terribly sorry."

"That woman deserves an apology, not me!" Benford yelled.

"I will not tolerate anyone who works under me to be so disrespectful to a woman-same for their children. If that boy wants a promising future he better take a course on relearning some manners before he graduates"

Simmons balled his hand into a fist but didn't do anything. He simply bowed his head in understanding.

"I'll be sure to tell my nephew to apologize, sir" he said through his teeth.

"I seriously doubt an apology is going to fix this. I think it's better that he stays away from her" Leon said.

He couldn't beat the crap out of Jeremy now that he knew he was related to Simmons. But he would make sure the boy stayed far away from Rachel as much as possible.

Simmons glared at Leon. He found it odd that he was going out of his way to defend some girl. But he couldn't make this situation worse. He couldn't draw any more attention to himself.

"I'm afraid I need to cut this meeting short. I believe I need to reprimand my nephew for his actions."

He stormed out of the office barking at his assistant to get a car ready for him. When he left, Leon looked at Benford. Now that he knew what really happened at the school, he wondered what he was going to do about it.

"What shall we do about this, sir?" he asked.

Benford sighed and ran a hand across his tired face.

"Not much except keep Jeremy away from this girl. Since this was the first time this happened we can't really do much" he said.

"Are you serious?! You saw how he acted in that video I took!" Nathan said.

"You're just going to brush it off like it was nothing?!"

"I'm not happy with what I saw but I don't want to make this situation worse. I don't want the news to broadcast that a minor fight broke out at the school my son is going to. It was difficult enough transferring you from one school" Benford said.

Nathan looked at his father in disgust. He acted like he wanted something done about what happened earlier but now that Simmons claimed that he was going to take care of it, he was just going to let someone else clean up this mess so he could focus on bigger problems.

"If anyone should apologize to her it should be from the guy who swore to serve the people of this country" he spat.

He got from his seat and stormed out of the office. Now that just left Leon and Benford. The President sighed, feeling the weight of his job on his shoulders.

"What am I going to do with that boy?"

Leon looked at the President. He wasn't surprised that nothing was going to be done about this situation but it still stung.

But just because the President wasn't going to do anything about this didn't mean he had to follow his lead.

"What would you like me to do about this situation, sir?" he asked.

Benford took off his glasses and rubbed his tired eyes.

"If that girl has become friends with Nathan like he claims, that means she'll be around him during the semester. And since you're guarding him that means you'll probably be around her as well" he slowly said.

"For the meantime, I suppose it wouldn't hurt for you to keep an eye on her until Simmons's nephew graduates this year. This is the least we can do for her since she was harmed while my son was nearby."

Leon was going to do that anyway. But since he got the President's approval that meant he could watch her without looking suspicious.

"If that's what you wish" he said.

Benford chuckled a little. This was one of the reasons why he picked Leon over all the other agents that served him. He would get the job done without any complaint.

"You're dismissed. You've had a busy day and I need to get back to other matters at hand."

Leon nodded and headed for the door. He grabbed the handle and paused for a moment. He remembered what Rachel mentioned to him when they were at the park.

"When you transferred Nathan to this college, did you know that a couple of students were going missing?" he asked.

Benford paused what he was doing. Setting the file down on his desk, he sighed.

"I was informed, yes" he admitted.

Leon turned around to look at his boss. He knew this was happening and yet he did nothing about it.

"If you knew then why wasn't my team told about this? I could have looked into this" he said.

"Leon" Benford said.

"Do you know how many people go missing each year? I can't tell you the number of times I've seen on the news that someone suddenly vanished. A couple of students missing from their school is no different. I'd want to help but I need to have my staff handle far more serious and dangerous matters. It's our job to protect this country and it's the police's job to take care of these missing students. I hate being heartless but I need to focus on keeping this country safe from serious threats."

He went back to his files and read over the documents that were on them.

Leon gripped the handle tightly to the point where his knuckles turned white. He wasn't surprised that the President wasn't going to do anything about this but it still hurt. Just like Racoon City, he was going to act like this didn't happen and take care of other threats.

Yanking the door open, he stormed down the hall. If the President wasn't going to do anything about these missing students then he would.

Pulling up to a fancy penthouse, Simmons got out of his car and stormed up to the building. Swiping his badge, the door unlocked granting him entrance.

He looked around the house to see it was a mess. Empty bottles of booze littered the countertops, the garbage can was filled with old takeout containers, textbooks and papers covered the coffee table. It looked like a typical college student lived here.

Scowling, Simmons ignored the mess and went upstairs. He could hear giggles and muffled voices coming from one of the rooms. Not bothering with knocking, he swung open the door to see the sight of his nephew in bed with a random girl. Jeremy and the girl jumped and tried to cover themselves with the sheets.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" Jeremy snapped.

Simmons ignored Jeremy and glared at the girl.

"Get out" he ordered.

The girl quickly did as she was told and grabbed her clothes before running out of the room. Jeremy glared at his uncle.

"Was that necessary? I was kind of in the middle of something."

"Yes, I can see you've been super busy while at school" Simmons said sarcastically.

Jeremy sighed and rubbed his face.

"What do you want? I highly doubt you wanted to take time out of your busy schedule to say hi to me" he said.

Simmons walked around his room and looked at the items that were scattered about. It was nice to know all the money he put into this place was being taken care of properly. He went over to the desk in the corner of the room and picked up a piece of paper.

"So how have your classes been? I take it you're doing well?" he asked.

Jeremy grew puzzled at the question but slowly nodded.

"Y-yeah I got top grades on our latest exams. Midterms should be a breeze."

Simmons hummed in thought and set the paper back on the desk.

"I find that very hard to believe since there seems to be nothing in that empty head of yours" he spat.

"Now let me ask you another question: what were you doing when classes got out today?"

Jeremy made a face when he realized what his uncle really came here for. He should have known that word would have gotten back to him at the White House.

"This is about Nathan isn't it?"

"No, I'm merely curious to know your classes are-YES THIS IS ABOUT BENFORD'S SON!" Simmons roared.

Jeremy flinched in response to being yelled at. He quickly composed himself and glared at his uncle.

"I didn't know he was right there! Hell, I didn't even do anything to him!" he said.

"You physically assaulted a woman in front of everyone including the President's son, you stupid idiot! It doesn't matter that you didn't do anything to him. He was right next to that girl when you decided to act like a caveman so that means you're considered a threat!" Simmons snapped.

"And it just so happens that Nathan videotaped the whole encounter you had with this girl. And knowing that boy, he's for sure going to post that video up on the internet for everyone to see. Even if I try to take that video down, it'll be too late because everyone will copy and share it for others to see. They'll see that my stupid nephew acted like an ass in front of the son of the most important man in the country, the same man I work under. Do you see where I'm going with this?"

He went up to Jeremy and got in his face.

"You were supposed to keep a low profile while Nathan was attending this school. You have only one year left until you graduate so that should have been a super easy task. Instead you caused a scene and now the President is on edge. I've spent years of my life getting to where I am today and you almost ruined everything over one stupid girl."

Jeremy glared at his uncle in disgust.

"Least I didn't cut corners to get where I am now" he said.

Simmons backhanded him across the face.

"Don't forget the only reason you were able to get into this school in the first place was because I'm paying for everything. If you weren't my sister's child, you would have been on the streets after she died" he snarled.

"I told the President I would reprimand you for your behavior and that's what I'm doing. Keep your head down until you graduate and maybe, just maybe I'll pull some strings to have you work at one of the best hospitals in the States. Until then, you are to stay away from the President's son and you are for sure to stay away from that girl. Understand?"

Jeremy looked angry at the threat.

"Are you serious?!" he yelled.

"Don't you use that tone with me, boy. You're lucky I haven't canceled your credit cards yet. I don't care if you mess around with any of the other girls that go to this school, just stay away from that one girl."

Jeremy glared at his uncle. He couldn't force him to stay away from Rachel. She was perfect for him. Tiny, weak, timid, she was the perfect girl to have around for someone like him.

He didn't want to listen to his uncle, but if he disobeyed him then he would lose the life that he was used to. If he waned to continue living like this and get his dream job, he would have to listen…for now.

"Fine" he growled.

Simmons smirked darkly as he stood up. He pretended to act caring and patted Jeremy on the head.

"I knew you would see it my way" he said.

"Just forget about that girl and keep your head down until the end of this year."

He walked away from him and grabbed the door handle. Stopping, he looked over his shoulder to give Jeremy a disgusted look.

"And clean this place up. It's disgusting. It smells as if something died in here" he sneered.

He slammed the door behind him and left.

With him finally alone, Jeremy scowled in anger. Who did his uncle think he was?! Nobody told him what to do. Whatever he wanted, he would have it. Why was Nathan allowed to be near Rachel but not him?! He knew her longer than this brat did! If anyone should be away from her it was Nathan and that guard who threatened him.

Getting up from his bed, he stormed around the room, not caring that he was in his birthday suit. It wasn't fair! He didn't do anything wrong! Why did his uncle have to take away something he wanted?!

"She's doesn't belong to them. She should be with me. I want her, not them" he mumbled to himself.

Rachel was perfect for him. He wanted a small, weak girl who would be easy to break and mold into whatever he wanted. He wanted something that would indulge all of his whims and sick fantasies.

He went over to his closet and opened it up to see the contents that were hiding inside it. Pulling back his clothes, he smiled when he looked at what was hiding behind everything. His uncle couldn't keep him from Rachel. She would be his one way or another. He would do as his uncle said and stay away for a while-just so he could put the final touches to his plans.

He stop anyone who would get in his way. By the end of the year, Rachel would be his.

Whether she liked it or not.

A/N: I got goosebumps while I was writing this chapter out. Even though I created Jeremy, he still creeps me out lol. Seems like he's like his uncle in many ways even if he doesn't want to admit it.

Now that Simmons knows about Rachel, he's going to keep an eye on her.

Good on Leon and Nathan for defending Rachel. It's probably a good thing she became friends with the President's son.

It seems like Leon is going to find out about what's going on with these missing students. Hopefully nothing bad comes out of this.

Please review and tell me what you think!

Take care!
