AN:

Check out kaledya on twitter and tumblr, where she creates wonderful hazbin hotel works and HH au named Sinners Symphony with awesome designs. We're talking art work and q&as if you want to learn more!

Lore and ocs being used are all hers.

I just hope I am portraying kaledya's ocs correctly, since I am trying to stick to the romantic theme of my tale with AU versions of my ocs interacting with hers. While one is temporarily visiting from his universe.

Gift of the Shadowy (Enter the black swan pt3):

Inner courtyard of the royal residence, a wide, rough-floored, topped by an transparent dome. A grand building used by members of the royal guard for training purposes. Where Constantine's student found a fabled hooded figure. His hooded capelet was embroidered with flowers and cords tied in a bow. Hood was drawn to hide most of his face with the end of his ponytail sticking out. Her sight took the rest of his in, His gloves matched his capelet as his waistcoat and trousers held a similar embroidery design. Criss- cross type with a gemstone setting and embroidered design. White, button up shirt with long sleeves and boots he wore held a strange neatness.

"Um…" She grew nervous at the sight of Mature European adder coiled around his neck, "Nice … snake."

"His name is Cornelius and I am Corbin," He pulled back his hood, "Sorry about the outfit My Lady, comes with being a Bloodmarch."

"Just Octativa and how old are you?" She asked about his age.

"16 and half," He stroked Cornelius' head, "Why?"

"I just never had anyone near my age to learn beside." She felt mood lighten.

"Same," Corbin recalls Zon's form of teaching, "My current teacher left me alone with parameters on how to defeat a golem with a time limit. Unsupervised."

That was how the door opened to the foundation of their bond with Charlie's other idea. Charlie had asked her brother to let Corbin meet his student to ease his loneliness. Mixed with Constantine wanting to access Corbin's magical level.

"What can you do?" She asked out of wonder.

"Mostly elemental magic with bits of others," He teetered a gloved hand, "My aunt has been teaching me flight magic through use of a broom."

He would have shown her when their laughing came to an end at the sound of footsteps. Corbin closed his eyes to listen to them when he turned his head. He knew it wasn't his aunt since her heels made a clicky tap. Set to a quick, quiet pace that always made her sound- like a beauty pageant veteran. This was more a stride and orderly tippy tapping increased in noise. Had his turning to the entrance in which Octavia entered as his eyes opened.

"This is where our fun ends," Corbin put his hand out toward Octativa, "Ready?"

"I can't wait." She accepted.

She watched with amazement as Cornelius moved from his shoulders to down his arm. Towards her just when Constantine entered the area and watched sparks fly. While he would go on to interrupt with separate plans, he picked up where he left up with Octiva while he had different plans for Corbin. Time was given for personal effects to be put away before they started. Octativa's amazement with Corbin got more interesting when the capelet came off. Around one of his wrists and tucked under one of his gloves. A chain made of angelic steel and silver with uncut gemstone of volcanic rock. Sat like a bracelet with an individual star enclosed in a circle pinned to his lepal. One of his ears held an ear cuff and matching earring set similar to what Elanye wore. His lack of wings, tail, and horns didn't bother her one bit when she saw when he could do.

She watched when left alone to review and practice. As Constantine tested Corbin through oral questioning, that got harder each passing hour. Got answered correctly by Corbin without him messing up. A series of baby steps over effective spells, brewing potions, and scrying. When she caught a target dummy's head after Corbin decapitated. By weaponing wind sheer spell and without using his chain. Just excited her a lot further when she quietly watched. All during the more physical part of Constantine's test on him. Ended when a whistling announced Elanye's presence, Her owl perched on her shoulder when she stepped into the hall. Left Constantine at a lost for words at her sudden appearance with eyes dilating.

"I thought I would bring lunch for our growing minds," She happily announced, "Whose hungry?"

"Us!" Octativa and Corbin shouted at the same time.

"Mixed emotions," Elanye felt an excitement from Octativa and verified from Corbin, "Busy bees have we been today?"

"If you're talking about progress we've made," Constantine took in her appearance after finding his voice, "My assessment of your nephew is done and Octativa has reached her first break for today."

"Then I am glad I brought our growing minds nurishment." She drew attention to what she held.

A picnic style lunch took place for them all with a blanket being spread out in the corner of the hall. Sandwiches and cake pops with moonwater infused tea from an thormas. Arranged on the center of the blanket for them to take what they want after sitting down. By Elanye in a Square Neckline, Ruffle Sleeve, Hem Dress and matching flags. Simple way as she wore her hair in a ponytail with a matching choker and her usual earrings. More casual, the professional manner Constantine saw her without dessert themed slowed his thinking process.

"One Hell's version of a text book on Harpie anatomy," She handed Corbin, "Veterinary edition."

Cornelius returned to Corbin's shoulders when he thanked his aunt for the book before he started reading. He came to share with Octativa when she asked what was so interesting. Corbin lowered his book to explain the diagrams and complex terms. Which Constantine watched upon joining them on the blanket, by taking a comfortable sitting position. Being reminded of his more happier moments with his sister by watching his student and Corbin. Their smiles and laughers had him mentally drawing up images when Charlie and he played.

"Hungry, Your Highness?" He was offered tea and a cake pop, "I adapted a strawberry shortcake and water for the tea was charged under the light of a Pink Moon."

He found himself accepting wholehearted as unexplained feelings welled up within the depths of his being. While taking way a small smile appeared with twinkles in her eyes as she further spoke. Left him to just quietly listen for the rest without being aware of how laxed he would become.

During an independent study hour after a morning lesson on the natural world of magic. Corbin pulled out a familiar leather bound journal from his bag and opened it. To a full page spread written in Gaelic mixing plant life with bones of any deceased animal.

"New project?" Octativa asked him.

"More like studying one of my late relatives' grimoires," He replied, "This one spell, I found, is a form of creation magic. Depending on the flora and animal bones used to create the creatures. Some can be servants while others are laborers and messengers."

Complex descriptions alone about use of flowers and trees among other known foliage were detailed. Which he translated for her when he started to review the section on mammals. Especially anything domestic or from the wilderness needing to be carefully considered.

"Thinking about it?" She wondered if he ever attempted.

"Like asking my aunt," He got wide eyed over her question, "About the ritual she used to make Chewy?"

"Kinda cool." She laughed.

"If you'd know what you're doing," Constantine looked over their shoulders, "Forming life of any kind is draining and takes a great toll."

He went to inform Octativa what she was looking at was a way of breathing life back into a dead thing. He shared a memory from his childhood of using soul magic to create a gift. How depleted of his magic he was and tired he grew just using it once. Had him inform Octativa that she shouldn't repeat what he did until ready. Corbin agreed since his prep work his aunt put in before creating Chewy left her tired.

"Alright," She huffs, "As long as you promise to not attempt this either."

"Agreed." He reached to close the grimoire.

Stopped when whistling of 'Do DO DO DO DO doooh dododo dodo' in his aunt's voice was heard. Followed by that fast pace clicking of her heels that had Octativa growing excited. She couldn't get enough of strawberry flavored cake pops or tea she served. Corbin wished Elanye just settled for picking him up then providing lunch. Which had Constantine confuddled about staying like last time or just leaving. Since she started to draw fourth sensations in him that were long since buried. Just he was so lost in thought trying to come up with an answer on what to do. Elanye had already entered the hall and made herself known to the teens with her basket. She had mincemeat pie, cake pops, and chilled fruit juice for young minds.

"What cake did you have this time?" Octativa asked.

"Gingerbread with powdered sugar." She spoke.

Octativa happily helped with the blanket and a basket set down with a sealed mason jar sticking out. She was careful in pulling it out while stating the juice inside was prepared by Zon. He wanted Corbin to have a treat straight from home and show he was missed. Which was poured and shared with eager teens within minutes. Noticing what the two were looking over from where she sat.

"That's one of your father's favorites," She spoke of Wywave's use of the spell, "He prefers black roses or wild dandelions from deep parts of the woods and don't ask me about the bones."

Corbin handed the grimoire over toward his aunt for her to point out Wywave doesn't like using just any flora. Ones that have been domestic over time make poor combat ranked creatures. Their ability to regenerate after using a limb comes in handy for the work. Among other numerous reasons that prevent him from hiring outside help year round. Ended when the pounding of the hall's roof started up as a light drizzle. Didn't worse until far after Octativa was the first to leave late into the afternoon. Becoming a problem for Elanye with Corbin when it was time to go home. Since the PH level was a tad higher than usual 4.0 when reported by 666 weather team. Left them unable to leave or get home like they normally do after a joint lesson.

"This sucks." Corbin huffed.

"Language," Elanye reminded him of who was beside them, "His highness is right there and I know you were taught better."

"I don't like the unfavorable downpour." He felt her stroke his head.

She straightened out his tousled hair from the day's lesson, showed Corbin and Octativa were active listeners during the lecture and demonstration. Unlike now when news about weather and quiet Constantine in their company. His tail seemed to be the only thing moving on him as rest just faced the window panes. Taking in the way water droplets pounded away at the protective glass.

"Call who you need since you'll be staying until this lets up," He knew the logical thing was to let them stay then travel in acidic danger, "If needed, I'll have a room set up for you two."

"Thank you, Your Highness," Elanye whispered, "We will not make a ruckus here and will follow your rules. Right?"

"Yes ma'am." Corbin seemed disappointed.

She ended up having to use a landline when she noticed the dead battery of her flip phone. Had Constantine direct her to the nearest landline to call her brothers as she left Hoo Hoo with Corbin. This meant the teen was left in the prince's company. Alone.

"That spell you were looking at earlier," Constantine recalled his strange grimoire, "Why were you studying it?"

"Mainly curiosity and reasons Victor Frankenstein did it," Corbin's answer snagged Constantine's attention, "My dads would rim me, if they found out I even attempted such a spell."

"That I can attest to." Constantine recalled a memory.

Moment in his life he told Corbin and Octativa was one his more treasured childhood memories, having to do with his sister. He had forgotten a birthday gift for Charlie and had an idea. Left him to use a form of creation magic pertaining to giving an object a soul. How he brings to life her Razzle and Dazzle plushies. While he left in a tired state with his mother's interests dangerously peaked.

"As a child, I brought my sister's beloved plushies to life through the use of a spell. Caught the attention of my parents when they learned how I learned of the spell," Constantine recalled. "My tutors went on to advance my education under my parents' guidance."

"So cool," Corbin's eyes lit up, "My aunt does the same, Her form of punishment when she isn't teaching me to fly, which is harder than it looks."

One more Elanye and clicky- clack of her heels ended their chat as she informed them her brother had been reached. When she got close enough, she rewrapped her arms around Corbin. Sight of her hugging her nephew would bother Constantine, instead stirring that strange sensation within him around.

"Making friends are we?" She asked Corbin while looking at Constantine, "What are you chatting about?"

"We were just talking about creation magic," He pointed it out to her.

"Then mind your manners," She welcomed Hoo Hoo back onto her shoulders, "I hope he hasn't asked you any weird questions? Your Highness."

"I asked him." Constantine didn't seem bothered.

They were soon joined by a 3- eyes, winged fox with black and orange in the form of a Constantine's long term pet. Who instantly warmed up toward the company despite the appearance of a snake. By leaping oito Corbin's arms with this purring-like noise soon to follow, as he nuzzled the teen's chest. Got louder when Elanye was allowed to stroke his downy soft fur. Who stood up in Corbin's arm to be petted more by her with those purs getting louder. Had Constantine being asked what the name of his furry friend by Elanye, which he found heart race.

Within his palace waiting out the rain, Beyond the ivory workspace of permafrost with decorative hanging lights with branching icicles. Smooth and non-porous walls with firmness of the darkness onyx. Largest body of sea glass of clearest quality, where barely a ember of light could touch. Constantine was found confoddled by the newest sensation he hadn't felt since his distant childhood. Just under the surface of his usual thoughts he couldn't distract himself, no matter the problem. Left him to sit back as he removed his glasses, unable to think any further. At an impasse about sorting out his current problem when a tune entered the air. This melodically simple melody was gentle and held a soothing nature. Not that he had the strength to search for the source of this tune. He ended up being lulled to sleep in his chair by it until he drifted off. Not knowing he had fallen asleep until the next morning when knocking on doors of his work shop.

"Sir," Voice of a servant imp alerted him, "Your usual guest is here."

He groggily heard a familiar accent of an Overlord of Luck aka his only friend ask if he was alive. Just before he could answer, a scent of crisp waters and skies of hell lingered before him. Down he looked to find a trey of cake pops made from pancake batter with syrup on a plate. Empty tea cup and steaming teapot lay nearby with a folded piece of paper. He snatched it and found it was a thank you note from Elanye. Small meal for him with a first edition book from Corbin. He already knew the title thanks to his niece telling him.

"The sinner and her relation?" He wondered.

"A hooded figure driving a motorized carriage showed up after rain ceased," Imp recalled, "Picked them up."

Imp was dismissed after speaking as he picked up Corbin's gift from where it rested on the trey. Not paying attention to when doors opened and someone walked in.

"Did I see the fabled red riding hood leaving or my eyes playing tricks?" She noticed the set up.

"No your eyes were working quite well," He irritatedly sighed, "I arranged her nephew and her to stay the night after heavy rain."

"Something is eating you?" She asked from tone of his voice.

Rest of their conversation about way he been acting since he laid eyes on Elanye and interacted with her. How his brain always slowed down or wandered whenever she was around since he laid eyes on her. Not that he was left impressed with her magical knowledge so far and wandered what else she knew. Examples he heard from different sources so far showed she was no amateur. Her baking skills weren't subpar and she seemed to handle Corbin well.

"I say don't rush into to anything too serious and take it day by day as you get to know each other," She advised, "Remember also communication is key."

"Hmmm… " He nods his head as he looked to the trey's set up.

"She's a not a bad egg from times I've socialized with them," Serenity recalled handful times she was in Wywave's presence, "Multitalented people that surprised me."

"Surprisingly," He could agree with her on that, "I am still figuring that one out."

Mood ended up lightening for Constantine as he started to come up with a plan for next few times he sees Elanye.
