A/N : GMG are done, onto the next action packed chapter before some more relaxed time with our mages !

Enjoy !

Dragged into Crocus' central plaza, I whined, "What now? I just wanna nap," Before I could finish, Amy's fist met my head with a thud.

"Behave, idiot, the king is right in front of us!" she scolded.

After a weak cough, the king began his speech. "Thank you all for gathering here. I'm sorry we can't fully enjoy Fairy Tail's victory as we should, but our kingdom is in danger. Tonight, we'll be attacked by no less than ten thousand dragons." His declaration sent a wave of shock through the crowd.

"Ten thousand dragons?" Makarov repeated, visibly stunned.

"On Tenrou Island, Acnologia managed to wipe us out on his own. I can't even imagine what an army of dragons will be like," groaned Laxus.

"As I speak," the king continued, drawing everyone's attention, "we are deploying a massive project—Project Eclipse. Our goal is simple: eliminate all the dragons with a single attack. However, we know many will survive, perhaps ten, or even a hundred. That's why I'm begging you. Please, use your power to destroy the remaining dragons. Save our kingdom!" He bowed respectfully.

The crowd erupted in cheers, which brought tears to the king's eyes. "We've got this!" roared Quatro Cerberus. "We'll save this kingdom from whatever comes our way," smiled Sting and Rogue.

"Count on us!" cheered Makarov.

"Fighting... against dragons?" Amy repeated, looking uncertain. I placed my hand on her shoulder. "We'll get through this. We're Fairy Tail," I winked as the clock struck midnight.

"It's time," announced Gajeel. "The dragons are going to reappear, fourteen years after they disappeared." He frowned, gasping as the ground shook with a massive earthquake.

"Looks like Project Eclipse has started," muttered Gray. We watched in horror as dragons poured out of the door, one after another.

"I never thought I'd ever witness this," Erza noted in shock. Each dragon's roar was powerful enough to destroy an entire building.

"Move! If we stay packed, we're done for sure!" yelled Makarov, as another dragon exited the Eclipse door.

As I moved away, pulling Amy with me, my gaze locked on a shining golden glow in front of the Eclipse Door.

"The.. zodiacs ?" I gasped. "That has to be Lucy, and Yukino !" noted Amy. "They're trying to close the door !" she added.

We watched as every spirit was summoned, instantly rushing to the doors on the girls' command, pushing as hard as they could. "It's moving !" I yelled, as the door was slowly closing, blocking the exit to yet another incoming dragon.

Before we could celebrate, a dragon covered in flames landed in front of us. "FairyTail ! Circle him and give everything you have !" yelled Makarov.

I lunged forward, leaving Amy behind me. "Kalen !"

I joined the others, gathering up around the dragon, noticing too late his tail swiping us all out, as I was sent flying with a groan, swiftly catched by a massive flower. "You idiot ! Don't rush in like a degen !" yelled Amy.

"A flame dragon, huh? It's our time to shine, Juvia," Gray grinned, squeezing her hand as they prepared a powerful unison raid.

"Ice Geyser! Water Nebula!" they both yelled, unleashing a devastating attack towards the dragon. As the blast hit, we all grinned, thinking we'd taken him down. But our smiles faded quickly when we saw the dragon standing unscathed.

"He... didn't take any damage?" I stammered, watching in horror as the fire dragon prepared to unleash his roar.

"Amy! Behind me!" I shouted, raising my hand to activate my magic. "Activate, Ray!" I whispered, expecting my katana, but instead, two moonlight daggers appeared. "Shit! Nyx ?" I cursed, realizing the night had fallen faster than I'd anticipated. The incoming flame roar left me no choice. I leaped in front of Amy, using my body as a shield, and we were both sent flying along with everyone nearby.

"That's some serious power," growled Elfman, struggling to his feet.

"Still, I'd prefer him over Acnologia," retorted Gray from the ground.

I forced myself up, barely managing to protect Amy, still minimizing her injuries. "Mavis... There are seven more like him?" I growled.

"Leave him to me," a pink-haired boy declared, jumping down from a demolished roof. "He's mine. Go help the others," he added.

"No way, we're gonna help y—" Erza started, but Gray cut her off. "He's right. He's a dragon slayer; we'd be useless. Let's go. We need to protect the town from these smaller dragons," he said, eyeing the human-sized dragons advancing towards us.

Erza nodded, running away from the dragon.

"Kalen, let's go. I need to make sure she's okay," Amy urged, pulling me along. I knew exactly who she meant. "Yeah, let's go. Natsu!" I yelled back, "Don't you dare lose to that giant flying flame!" I added, locking eyes with his confident grin.

We dashed through the chaotic battlefield, searching for Wendy. I already knew who she was looking for. Amy wasn't one to easily show her feelings, but her bond with Wendy was obvious—they were like sisters. We skidded to a halt, jaws dropping at the sight of a massive green dragon towering over Laxus and Wendy.

"Wendy! Laxus !" Amy yelled, rushing over.

"Mmh, looks like my main course has just arrived!" the dragon sneered, licking his lips.

"Yeah right, just try," I said, approaching with one of my daggers raised.

"Kalen, Amy! Leave this to us!" Laxus shouted.

"You need to go, Laxus. There are seven dragons, and not enough dragon slayers," Wendy said firmly.

"I'll take care of this one," she added, her determination evident.

Laxus looked at me, and I gave him a nod, a promise to keep them safe.

"Fine," he grumbled. "Don't you dare die," he ordered before running off.

"Okay girls, it's showtime," I said, taking a fighting stance, eyes locked on the dragon.

Amy and Wendy stood beside me, their expressions mirroring my resolve. "Let's hit him hard and fast!" I shouted, launching forward with my daggers raised. "Moonlit Slash!" My daggers glowed with lunar energy as I dashed towards the dragon, aiming for its underbelly. The blades connected, but instead of the satisfying feel of cutting through flesh, they merely bounced off its scales with a metallic clang.

"What the...?" I muttered, staggering back as the dragon roared, its fiery breath scorching the air.

"Blooming Strike!" Amy cried, summoning a burst of flowers and vines that struck the dragon. The attack wrapped around its legs, but the dragon shook it off effortlessly, the vines snapping like twigs.

"Sky Dragon's Roar!" Wendy unleashed a powerful gust of wind, aiming for the dragon's head. The wind howled, but the dragon didn't even flinch, its scales shimmering in the onslaught.

"Damn it, he's tougher than he looks!" I shouted, dodging a swipe from the dragon's massive claw.

"Amy, with me!"

"Got it!" Amy replied, her eyes glowing with determination. "Sakura Barrage!" She spun gracefully, sending a whirlwind of razor-sharp petals towards the dragon.

I followed up with "Silent Strike!" My movements became a blur as I struck with both daggers, aiming for the dragon's joints. The petals slashed through the air, and my daggers struck true, but once again, the dragon's scales remained untouched, not a scratch visible.

"This is insane," I growled, retreating to avoid the dragon's tail swipe. "Wendy, any ideas?"

"We need to find a weak spot!" Wendy shouted back, her eyes scanning the dragon. "Sky Dragon's Claw!" She leaped into the air, aiming a powerful kick at the dragon's neck. The impact sent shockwaves through the ground, but the dragon didn't budge, its scales absorbing the blow.

"Nature's Grasp!" Amy called out, summoning thick roots from the ground. The roots wrapped around the dragon's legs, trying to immobilize it. The dragon struggled for a moment, but then with a simple swipe of his claw, he sliced through the roots instantly.

Before we could charge again, a group of smaller mini dragons appeared from behind. "Kalen!" yelled Amy with urgency.

"It's fine, take them down. I'll manage our big guy," said Wendy.

"Wen? But..." I started, before Wendy turned to face us, her expression steely with determination. "Listen, I'm a dragon slayer. I'm supposed to be strong enough for this. Trust me, please."

We both looked at her, unable to answer. "Sure. I'm counting on you," I finally snapped, before rushing towards the enemies regrouping a bit further.

"Wha—Kalen! Mavis..." Amy gritted her teeth before following me.

I darted towards the mini dragons, daggers at the ready. "Moonlit Slash!" I called out, channeling lunar energy into my blades and slicing through the air. The first mini dragon fell, but more were closing in fast.

"Entangling Roots!" Amy shouted, summoning thick vines from the ground to entrap several mini dragons at once. "Sakura Barrage!" She followed up, spinning gracefully as razor-sharp sakura petals sliced through the air, striking down the ensnared mini dragons.

I joined her, my movements swift and precise. "Silent Strike!" I vanished into the shadows, reappearing behind another mini dragon and delivering a fatal blow. Despite our efforts, the mini dragons kept coming, their numbers seemingly endless.

"Amy, keep pushing! We need to clear them out fast!" I urged, dodging a fiery blast from one of the mini dragons.

"On it! Vine Whip!" Amy flicked her wrist, and a long, thorny vine lashed out, striking multiple mini dragons. "Nature's Wrath!" She summoned an eruption of flora, overwhelming a cluster of mini dragons and reducing them to ashes.

I faced another group of enemies, swiftly pacing towards us. "Lunar Burst" I shouted, crossing my daggers, glowing with accumulating lunar magic, before slashing outward, releasing a burst of energy that radiates forward. The explosion took them out, only to reveal more approaching.

As we battled, I stole a glance at Wendy. She was holding her ground against the colossal dragon, her Sky Dragon magic swirling around her in powerful gusts.

"Sky Dragon's Claw!" Wendy shouted, leaping into the air and delivering a powerful kick to the dragon's face. The impact sent shockwaves through the ground, but the dragon remained unfazed, its scales absorbing the blow.

"Hang in there, Wendy," I muttered under my breath, focusing back on the mini dragons.

"Kalen," Amy called out. "I'm going to use it. We need to clear them out in one single blow."

I looked at her, quickly realizing what she meant. "Got ya," I shot back, before raising my hand to eye level. "I've never tried this one, but I'm guessing it works the same..." I added, "Activate, Nyx! Crescent Moon!"

The air around me seemed to chill as the words left my lips. A deep, shimmering purple aura began to emanate from my ring, spreading through my body like an electric current. The glow intensified, wrapping around me in a swirling vortex of moonlight energy. As it spiraled higher, it cast an ethereal light on the battlefield, contrasting sharply with the dark night enveloping us. My clothing transformed as well, intricate patterns of silvery purple light tracing across my T-shirt as my eyes glowed with a faint silver light.

Amy grinned, "I knew you could do this with the moon as well," before preparing her own spell, starting to dance gracefully, spinning on her toes, her arms floating through the air.

"Graceful Sakura, dance upon the wind, and answer my call! Sakura Storm!" she yelled. A column of pink petals swirled around her as she danced, her power increasing each second.

I lunged forward, my daggers reflecting the silver and pink colors emanating from the moon and Amy's spell. "Moonlight Barrage!" I roared, zapping through every single mini dragon, each dash ending with a quick slash, creating a barrage of strikes cutting through them all.

Amy stopped dancing, thrusting her arms forward, her gathered petal storm rushing straight into the dazzled mini dragons, creating a massive explosion. Our moon and sakura combination painted the sky in a surreal, beautiful chaos. I barely managed to zap out of it, turning back to check on the damage we made, a smile appearing on my face when the dust cloud faded, leaving nothing in its trail.

I then released my Crescent Moon form, knowing it was highly cutting through my magic. Panting, I shot a look at Amy, hands on her knees, catching her breath. Her Sakura Storm was insanely powerful but consumed a considerable amount of her magic. After our fight against Lyon and Chelia, she couldn't even walk after she used it.

My thoughts were quickly cut off when I saw... something. I couldn't explain what, but I swiftly leaped to the side, laying my entire body on the ground. As I did, a powerful blast of magic came shooting just above me. Turning around, I was met with a remaining mini dragon who had sneaked up behind me. "Blossom Strike!" Amy yelled, taking him out with ease.

I struggled to get up, my mind racing. "What the hell was that about? I... saw what was going to happen," I stammered.

"Me too... I saw you... die," shot back Amy, her eyes wide in shock.

I turned my head up to the sky, feeling an inexplicable chill. "I don't know what just happened, but something or someone just saved my ass..."

Amy's face was pale, her usual vibrant energy dampened by the eerie experience. "That was... I've never felt anything like it," she whispered, her voice trembling.

As we tried to process what had just occurred, Wendy's shout brought us back to the reality of our situation. "Kalen! Amy! We need to focus!" she called out, her voice strained from her battle with the main dragon.

"Right," I muttered, lunging forward, but hastily stopping when I saw Amy could barely stand on her feet. Without a second thought, I grabbed her, swiftly placing her on my back. "Kalen, let me down! I will fight!" she scolded.

I started running again. "Yeah right, try standing up first. I'll put you down for a moment so you can rest for a bit," I shot back, slowing down next to a large tree, safe from the dragon. I set her down, giving her a reassuring smile before turning towards Wendy.

"Kalen, please, I beg you, don't let her get into any danger... and the same goes for you," Amy whispered, receiving a knowing smile from me.

"Wen!" I yelled, skidding to a stop next to her. She was out of breath, looking completely exhausted. "Hey, take a break. I'll take the front line," I added, activating my Crescent Moon again.

"Arms! Vernier!" screamed Wendy, and I felt my body becoming lighter, power engulfing me. It was the first time Wendy had used her battle enchantments on me. "Okay, big guy, let's see what you've got!" I said, lunging forward.

"Night's Edge!" I yelled, jumping for his chest, delivering a series of quick, precise strikes aiming for his weak points, but with very low success, as the dragon sent me flying with a simple flick of his claw, crashing onto the ground.

"Moonbind!" I yelled, back on my feet, slashing my daggers in an X pattern, silver chains flying out from the ends of the X. Rushing towards the dragon, I aimed for each leg, the chains finally making contact with him. "Got ya! Huh?" I gasped, as he simply grabbed the chains and broke them without even using any strength.

"Oh, c'mon..." I muttered, looking at the giant claw coming down on me.

"Move, Kalen!" yelled Wendy, covering her eyes from the impact. The claw had smashed me down with a powerful impact.

"Now that's one done, time for a feast!" laughed the dragon.

"Oh no you won't, Lunar Reflection!" he heard, as I lunged from the side.

Taking his claw up, he realized he'd only smashed a moonlight mirror image of myself.

"Moonlight Barrage!" I yelled, quickly dashing in a zigzag pattern around him, landing a powerful cut each time. A literal tempest of strikes came crashing down on the dragon as I relentlessly zapped in and out, adding a new hit each time.

After a moment, I finally skidded back to a stop in front of him, panting heavily.

"Was that supposed to tickle?" asked the dragon with a smirk.

"I've just got this new spell; it's supposed to be even better than what I had... still, I didn't do anything to him," I panted, frustration clear in my voice.

The dragon's eyes gleamed with amusement, a deep, rumbling laugh escaping its maw. "Pathetic. You think a few fancy moves will harm me?"

Wendy, having caught her breath, stood up, determination blazing in her eyes. "We're not done yet, Kalen. We'll figure this out together."

I nodded, gripping my daggers tighter. "Right. Let's give it another shot."

The dragon roared, readying itself for another attack. But before it could, a deafening sound pierced through the air, forcing us to look up. An impressive explosion, followed by what looked like a meteor falling from the sky, tore through the heavens. "Could that be..." I wondered.

"Natsu!" yelled Wendy, "He's heading straight for the Eclipse Door !"

My eyes widened, following the gigantic ball of fire hurtling down from the sky. "Get cover!" I yelled, grabbing Wendy by the arm and pulling her away from the dragon. I reached Amy, who was still sitting with her back against the tree, and tugged Wendy next to her, covering them both with my body. My eyes met theirs, seeing the fear reflected in their gaze.

"It's gonna be fine, girls. It's Natsu after all," I said, trying to reassure them with a faint smile.

A massive explosion followed, sending a shockwave through the entire city, a column of flames engulfing the sky. The ground trembled, and the roar of the flames was deafening.

The heat was intense, but I held my ground, shielding Amy and Wendy as best I could. When the shockwave subsided, I cautiously peeked over my shoulder, my face filled with surprise. The dragon was still standing, but slowly glowing, glaring at us.

"The door has been destroyed, I guess my time here is over. See you soon, little mages" were his last words, before vanishing in the night sky. A colossal silence fell upon us after that, the entire city had stopped echoing with spells and roars, feeling like time had frozen.

I stood up slowly, my body aching from the intense battle, and turned to Amy and Wendy. Their faces mirrored my own mixture of relief and exhaustion.

"Is it really over?" Wendy asked, her voice barely above a whisper, still catching her breath.

"Yeah, I think it is," I replied, my eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of danger. "For now, at least."

Amy struggled to her feet, leaning on the tree for support. "We should... Meet up with everyone."

"I'm sorry, I'm completely out, I can't heal you.." announced Wendy, with a sad voice. Amy simply took her in a soft embrace "I'm glad you're okay" she said, letting a tear fall on her cheek.

"Let's go" I smiled, before walking towards Natsu's impact point.

Everyone was already there. "Kalen! Amy! Wendy!" screamed Mira and a few others, rushing over to us. Mira helped me with Amy, still struggling to stand on her own feet. Levy and Lucy took in Wendy's condition, sighs of relief escaping them when they were sure she was fine.

"Looks like someone didn't go easy on that door," I grimaced, eyes meeting the demolished and still slightly burning immense door towering before us.

"Well, Natsu for ya," smiled Gray, approaching.

"What's up, Ice Princess?" I smirked, and Gray instantly headbutted me with a smile before laughing. "Glad you're fine, Kal."

"Same, Gray, same," I smiled back, fistbumping him.

And like that, our global teamwork, reuniting every single guild, managed to defend the Kingdom of Fiore against terrible dragons. But I couldn't help feeling mixed between happiness and frustration, and that didn't go unnoticed.

"We just won against dragons. How can you hold such a bad-looking face?" teased Gray.

"I don't know. It's just... Thinking about it, we were kinda useless," I pointed out, making a few eyes turn to me. "I mean, yeah, Natsu broke the door, and that took the dragons out. But I don't know about you guys, we were far from winning with Wendy. In fact, a bit more, and we would be crushed into the ground by now."

Gajeel's brows furrowed. "Gotta give a point to blondy. Can't say I was winning either," he spat.

"Can't lie, same over here," growled Laxus, his gaze falling down.

Sting and Rogue approached. "What now, you two," I spat, "Gonna brag about how strong you were and how you were easily winning your fights?"

Sting looked at me with a serious expression. "No, we actually heard what you said, and... you just spoke the truth. A bit more, and we wouldn't even be here anymore," he clenched his fists. "For dragon slayers, we were pathetic."

The weight of Sting's words hung in the air, a sobering reminder of the reality we had faced

Erza stepped forward, her voice calm yet firm. "We survived, and that is what matters. Every battle teaches us something. Today, we learned our limits. Tomorrow, we push them."

Mira nodded, still supporting Amy. "Erza's right. We fought together, and we will grow stronger together."

Natsu, always the optimist, stepped in front of us, his eyes burning with determination. "We did what we had to do. We fought with everything we had, and we came out alive. That's something to be proud of. Next time, we'll be even stronger."

"Aye!" chimed in Happy.

"Yeah, you're right, I guess..." I said slowly, still grappling with my mixed feelings.

Before I could continue, I felt a sharp slap behind my head. I turned to see Amy, still supported by Mira, glaring at me with fire in her eyes.

"What the hell is this about? You saved my ass twice and helped out Wendy! Don't you dare say you were useless, you idiot!" she barked, her eyes blazing with anger. The unexpected outburst caught everyone off guard, and soon, laughter erupted from the group, relieving the tension in the air.

Gray chuckled, shaking his head. "That girl is perfect for that idiot..." he whispered.
