After the kids played for a few hours on the playground Trudy got stung by a bee. She started crying, Marsha and Dwight raced over to her.

"All that fuss about a simple bee sting," a man scoffed.

"I'm sorry? For your information it's not just a simple bee sting."

"Oh," the man said apologetically to Dwight.

He paused.

"Is she allergic," he asked.

"She has Leukemia," Dwight explained, "We found out less than a week ago."

"I'm sorry," the man said, "I didn't know. I'm James."

"Dwight," Dwight said, shaking his hand, "This is Marsha and that's Trudy."

Trudy was still crying but had calmed down by now.

She looked a little shaky.

"Dwight, I think we should take her to Dr. Starr," Marsha said, "I read that bee stings can cause more harm to people with leukemia."

Dwight nodded. He called Angela's parents to come and pick her up.

"Oh, not at all. She was wonderful. It's just that Trudy got stung by a bee. She's shaky and the bee stinger is still in her. No, we just need to make sure she's going to be okay. Definitely. We'll see you Monday at 7? Okay that sounds perfect. What can we bring? That would be fine."

A few minutes later Angela's parents came to pick her up.

"Bye Trudy," Angela said hugging her friend, "I'll see you on Monday."

"The only problem is that the stinger is still stuck in her," Dr. Starr told Dwight and Marsha, "It's hurting her."

"Can you take it out," Marsha asked.

"Of course," Dr. Starr replied.

She put some sleep medication in Trudy's picc line and removed the stinger.

"I gave her the medication to make her fall asleep because removing the stinger without it would have been very painful. She'll wake up in a few minutes."

Trudy woke up a few minutes later. She was okay, just a little tired.

"Thank you for taking care of me Dr. Starr," Trudy said politely.

She looked at her parents.

"I'm sorry I got Akemia and made you guys so sad," she said.

"Honey," Dwight told her picking her up, "You didn't make us sad→ we're sad because you're sick."

The next day Dwight had to go to work.

"Daddy? Is today your meeting with Billy Robin?"

Billy Robin was an actor and Trudy was a huge fan.

"It is," Dwight said, "I hope to get him for my new show."

Marsha whispered something to Dwight.

"That's a great idea," he said, "I'll try."

She whispered something again.

"Absolutely," he said.

"Secrets aren't nice," Trudy told them, annoyed.

"You're right honey but it's not a secret," Marsha said, "It's a surprise."

"I love surprises," Trudy exclaimed.

Dwight kissed Trudy and Marsha goodbye and got ready for work.
