The Loud Ark - Chapter 6: Telling the Family

Lincoln and the fairies walk toward their home as they hurry to tell Lincoln's family about their experience with Aslan. However, how can they accomplish such a big task?

"This is a very big task," Tinkerbell said, puzzled and shaken from the experience. "I never build anything as big as the ark Aslan told us to do."

"And not to mention all those animals are scattered everywhere around the world." Added Fawn.

"True it might seem Impossible," said Lincoln. "It will take a long time, But I have to do this to save everyone so we can do this."

"It'd probably be better if everyone helped?' asked Tinkerbell.

"You're right, I can't do this alone," replied Lincoln.

As night fell over the Loud House, the voice of the Loud's mother was heard. "Hey, kiddos, it's late. Time to get ready for bed."

Lori is texting, and Leni is painting her nails, in their room when they hear their mom, "Last one has to take out the garbage!"

Luan is reading a joke book, and Luna jumps down from her bunk. Lynn and Lucy are in their room and they stop what they are doing.

"For the rest of the month!" shouted Rita.

Hearing this sends the siblings into a rush-induced frenzy; Lynn and Lucy cat-fight each other, the twins are stuck at their doorway as they wrestle for firsties, Lily is chewing on her rattle as Lisa, who had heard the announcement, drops the chemical she's working on without looking, starting to cause an explosion. She notices and starts her own rush.

"Uh-oh!" exclaimed Lisa as she grabbed Lily "A suburb time to evacuate the premises!"

She rushes out her door, with Lily in tow, as the others exit to the bathroom.

"I get the mirror first!" Shouted Lori,

"Not happenin', dude!" shouted Luna as she refused Leni to exit her and Lori's Bedroom.

Luan makes a pun as she heads to the bathroom. "You can't brush me off!"

As she laughs, Lynn and Lucy are still cat-fighting each other, and the twins have finally exited their room as Lisa and Lily run towards the bathroom.

"Quickly! Let's skedaddle!" Lisa exclaimed as all four sisters were able to make it as the chemical exploded.

. . . .

Lincoln did hear his mom, but she was still busy for he was in his bedroom. He flips over his bed mattress which is revealed to be a planning bulletin board underneath this is where the Man with the Plan comes up with his ideas.

First Lincoln drew out a warm-up sketch, then himself being seen as someone special, and then Tinkerbell and Lincoln played tic tac toe with the fairy winning.

Finally, Lincoln starts sketching a blueprint of the ark and says to himself, "Let's see a length of 300 cubits, width of 50 cubits, and height of 30 cubits?" He gets a dictionary, turns to the C-Section, finds Cubit, and reads, "Cubit, an ancient measure of length, approximately equal to the length of a forearm. It is typically about 18 inches or 44 cm, though there was a long cubit of about 21 inches or 52 cm."

Then Lincoln, Tinkerbell, Vidia, and Silvermist using pencils started sketching the ark; they added three decks, a large door, and a window. Then Rosetta, Fawn, and Iridessa joined in drawing the food storage rooms, bedrooms, the people, animals, and themselves on the ark. Then the waves of the flood and rain pouring down were drawn last. This was followed by a blueprint copy.

"Well, girls we did it. This is the draft of how the ark is supposed to look like." Lincoln committed. Then Lincoln stopped, how would his family believe that he was not lying about the flood, the ark, and his talk with Aslan? "I'm not sure about how everyone will react. How will they believe in me? especially when I tell them it was god who told me this?"

"I'm sure you'll figure it out, remember what Aslan said he will be there with you even if he isn't here, and trust him." Said Tinkerbell. "That's why we must have faith."

"Not to mention trust." Said Iridessa as all six fairies placed their hands together in unison. "And Pixie Dust!"

They all turned to Lincoln as if he wanted to join in too. "Yes, and Pixie Dust too." Due to Lincoln's large hand, he only placed his right hand Index finger in the hand circle.

Then it was time to tell the family as Lincoln exhaled, "Ok, this is it. The moment, I'm ready for."

. . . . .

Later, everyone is in the bathroom brushing their teeth, except for Leni, who is brushing her hair, Luan, who is flossing her teeth, Lily, who is taking a bath in the sink, and Lynn Sr., who is trying to pluck out his nose hairs.

"Um, I'm literally trying to brush my teeth here." Lori snapped at Leni angrily.

"We all are, honey," said Rita.

"Shh, I'm trying to brush my hair and you keep making me lose count," exclaimed Lenireplied telling them to shush.

Then Lynn Sr. their father butted in, "Yeah, well, I'm plucking nose hairs and I lost count too!"

"I'm flossing over here!" added LUan.

Soon Everyone else starts arguing. Lincoln and the fairies who missed what Rita said left them the last ones late as they entered the Bathroom and popped up from behind.

"Mom! Dad! Hey, Everybody?!" said Lincoln trying to get their attention only for his fourth older sister to laugh and joke about him being the last one late.

"Lincoln has to take out the trash for a month!" joked Luan.

"Does this include us? I don't like getting dirty." Said Rosetta.

"I don't care." said Lincoln before turning to his parents, grunting, "I got something to tell you all?"

"Hey! The boy is trying to talk here?!" shouted Vidia.

"Careful Fawn!" cried Iridessa.

Fawn bumped into one of the sisters, which turned out to be Lynn Jr. who saw toothpaste on her left sleeve.

"Who spit toothpaste on my arm?" exclaimed Lynn Jr.

"Sorry!" Fawn apologized.

"I figured out what my vision is!" Said Lincoln.

"Well, that's nice, honey," Rita replied before Lynn Sr. spoke up. "I'm not sure if this vision is so important?"

"Tough crowd," Said Silvermist as she turned to Tinkerbell. "Tink, I think Lincoln has to tell everyone about Aslan."

Tink nodded and said to Lincoln, "Lincoln you have to tell your family the truth what happened with your dream?"

By then everyone stopped and looked at the fairies and the white-haired boy.

"What Truth?" said Luna

"Alright," Said Lincoln. "It turns out my vision revealed to me how we can be saved from the end world and Aslan spoke to me"

That gets the family's attention, and the girls ramble amongst themselves, mostly to their parents.

"Aslan?!" Said Lana.

"Linky, are you not making this up?" added Lola wondering if he was lying to them.

"Nope, it's the truth," said Lincoln

Lisa used the lie doctor on him and it was facing the truth side.

"The detector is in the green, which means he's not lying," said Lisa.

"You need to understand when I was heading back home from Clyde's house, I was in the forest and It's gonna be hard to believe, but I saw a lion and not just any lion," Lincoln explained. "The Great Lion God Aslan! He has spoken to me and wanted me here for him to tell him what the vision was and the task he told me."

"So a Lion spoke to you?" asked Leni.

"I normally don't go into religious beliefs, but what happened male sibling when you were with the Panthera leo?" added Lisa.

"What was he like?" Said Lori.

"Was he shiny? And golden?" said Lynn Jr.

"Was he as mighty as they say?" added Lola.

and soon the girls joined Lincoln in convincing their parents to find out what happened to him until Rita stopped them.

"Okay, let's just slow down, everyone. Now Lincoln what did Aslan say?" asked Rita.

"Aslan, He was majestic and powerful, But caring and compassionate. I felt touched by him through his eyes and his words." Then Lincoln quoted what Aslan told him, He explained to them what was to happen and what they had to do by the Lord's command. "He told me he had seen the wickedness and sin of humanity on the earth and warned me that he was going to bring a Great flood of waters to destroy every living thing, But he decided to spare us and our community. Our salvation from the flood was that he told me to construct a huge boat called an Ark in which we'll be saved along with all our friends, their families, and the community along with many animals, two of every kind of Bird, Beast, and Creeping Thing."

"An arch?" asked Leni,

"No Leni, an Ark, It's a boat," added Lisa.

"And why does it have to be big?" asked Lynn Jr.

"I think it has to be big to hold all the Animals!" replied Lana.

"Lincoln, An ark of that size will take many years to build," said Lynn Sr. "This is too much."

"I know it is Dad." Lincoln replied, "This is all true, Aslan would have chosen anyone for this job, but he chose me for my loyalty, willingness to help, and faith. Since this is a big job, I need everyone's help to build it, If we all work together, we can finish it in less than… How much longer, Lis?"

"Approximately," said Lisa on her calculator. "Mostly it would take 120 years."

"Fair enough, so would you help me?" asked Lincoln.

"I wanna help." Said Lana, "I could help with the construction and rounding up the animals."

"Count me in too, Stink-oln!" Lynn Jr. Replied.

"We'll all help you Lincoln!" Lori said to her little brother and soon all the sisters agreed to help and seeing how their kids wanted to do this the parents agreed as they would all help Lincoln with this task.

And so, Lincoln Noah did everything just as the Lion God Aslan commanded him.
