Marli wasn't expecting much when she asked the kind green haired Survey Corps member to fill out the Poke-dex for Starly.
He looked at her with such determination and quickly agreed, that she was briefly surprised. Nobody in the Survey Corps was that eager to interact with Pokemon, she doesn't even like to be near Pokemon, but they are just so fascinating.
So imagine her surprise (and a healthy amount of fear) that after quelling the frenzied Lord Kleavor, that he immediately ran up to her to show the completed entry for Starly.
"Oh Wow! So the feather patterns on Starly are different depending on the gender? How fascinating!"
The kid, Izuku, she soon learns nods in agreement.
"M-Many Pokemon have a sexual d-dimorphism… meaning they have slight differences in appearance d-depending on appearance."
"Oh really?" Now she is further intrigued.
He smiles gently, "Y-Yeah, some Pokemon are a lot easier to tell the difference though."
"Huh, how interesting!"
His smile brightens, "Mhmm, Pokemon are r-really interesting, but I know not a lot of people here like them. But that's okay! I-I know everything can be intimidating if you're not used to it…"
Marli smiled, "You are a very kind young man. And thank you for completing Starly's dex, it was a wonder to read!"
She watches as the kids smile brightens and he nods, with a farewell he takes his leave.
What a bright, youthful, young man.
She'll have to get him a gift for doing her request so fast!
...
Beauregard loved Beautica to bits! He always found bug Pokemon fascinating when he was growing up, even if his family despised the creatures.
So, when the little green-haired Survey Member agreed to catch him a Wurmple he was thrilled to bits, he'd asked a few different members beforehand but they always denied his request.
But! He now has a Wurmple named Beautica that he cherishes, and trains with Miss Zisu! So she can grow into a magnificent Beautifly.
He takes her on patrols with him around the village, though his patrol route is mostly at night which is good because many of the villagers are scared of pokemon. But the green-haired Survey Member, Izuku, always comes to talk with the two of them when he has a break and is in the village.
One of those times happened to be right now.
"Hello, M-Mister Beauregard! How are you and Beauticia doing?"
He grins, "We're doing great! Beauticia is getting along swell in Jubilife."
Izuku smiles back at him and Beauticia, "That's good. I'm s-sure with your care she'll be ready to evolve in no-"
Izuku was cut off as Beauticia started to glow, and a semi-harsh wind kicked up causing sand and dust to spin around them harshly. Covering his eyes Izuku winced at the sand scraping against his skin and tangling into his hair.
When the wind dies down he finally can look down at Beauticia the Wurmpod-... oh. Sorry he means, Beauticia the Silicoon.
In place of where the small caterpillar was, is a large white cocoon pokemon with sleepy red eyes.
Beauregard gasped before grinning, "Beauticia! Look at you, you evolved!"
Coooooo-!
"Yes, you look great!" Beauregard cheers as he pick Beauticia up and hugs her.
Looking over to Izuku he sees the young teen sketching the two of them roughly, grinning as he speaks out.
"You should show us that drawing when you're done, Izuku."
Izuku blushes, "O-Okay, I will!"
"Great! We can't wait to see it.. But me and Beauticia need to get going on our patrol."
Izuku nods before waving to them as he walks away.
...
Dorian had asked the bright young man of the Survey Corps to help catch a big Buizel for him. Dorians Buizel was getting a little lonely all by himself since no-one else in the Security Corps has a water type.
He didn't expect the kid to come back about a day later, soaked with water with a very large Buizel on his back, grooming the kid's absolutely matted hair.
The kid's Shinx, Lola, he later learned was glaring at the very big Buizel, obviously upset that the other Pokemon had most of the boy's attention, his other Pokemon thought it was funny by the way they snickered behind the Shinx.
The kid stopped in front of Dorian and his partner Buddy the Buizel, kneeling so the large Buizel could get off before standing back up.
"Is he b-big enough?" he gestured to the Buizel.
Dorien nods, the Buizel is big enough and he's not quite sure how the kid carried the lug all the way here without keeling over.
"Yeah! He seems big enough."
The kid nods tiredly, before turning and walking off with a wave.
His Shinx gives one last glare before trotting after the boy and his other companions.
"Alright," he looks to the new Buizel that stands beside him, "What should your name be?"
...
Pesselle was a little surprised when Miss Cyllene asked for her opinion on something involving the Medical Corps. She was even more surprised that it involved a Pokemon!
She agreed to see said Pokemon, but only because she trusted Cyllene.
So here she stood in the medical wing, nobody else in the room except for her and Cyllene. She's about to speak up when there's a knock on the door, raising a hesitant eyebrow as Cyllene opens the door and lets a young man in.
His green hair bounces a bit as he nods to her.
"H-Hello, I'm Izuku." He hesitantly bows his head.
Cyllene gently rests a hand on his shoulder causing the young man to jolt up.
"Izuku here suggested we welcome a Pokemon into the Medic Corps, supposedly this Pokemon can grow into a fine healer when it's fully evolved."
Izuku picks up where she stops, "B-But because it grows to be pretty big, I-I thought that maybe we could start off with the pre-evolution… She can't do much besides cheer people up right now, but when she evolves we can have her help with healing people and make healthy meals with the eggs she can produce…." he stops and slaps a hand over his mouth to stop himself from rambling.
Pesselle sweat drops, pausing to think about it she nods, "Alright, but I trust you to keep the Pokemon in check."
He nods rapidly before pulling out a Poke-ball, he looks to her for confirmation. She nods, and he thrusts the Poke-ball out.
In a brief flash of light, there stands a small pink egg shaped Pokemon. She blinks rapidly before cheering and running back to Izuku who picks her up.
"Hello to you too," He smiles before turning to Pesselle, "This is Happiny, she's a baby Pokemon so she isn't that strong, but she'll be a great addition to the M-Medical Corps."
Pesselle hums, moving a bit closer to the two, the young Pokemon smiles up at her and reaches out a small nubby hand. The nurse hesitantly reaches out and shakes the smaller hand, smiling gently, "Yeah, we can try to have her around… I'll update you on how it feels with her around in a few days."
Izuku nods and hands the young nurse Happiny's Poke-ball, and sets the Pokemon on the ground.
"G-Great, I'll come by in a few days to s-see how she's doing." Izuku pats Happiny on the head, then both him and Cyllene take their leave.
...
Izuku jolted from his writing session as he felt a tug on his sleeve, looking down he saw a child looking up at him.
"Oh… hello!" smiling he crouches so he is level with the kid.
"Hi!" the kid grins brightly, "I'm Sho! What's your name?"
"My name is Izuku!"
"Cool! Whatcha' writing about?" Sho peers at his notebook.
"I'm writing about some Pokemon I've seen on my surveys." Izuku turns his notebook so Sho could look at it.
"What's this one?" He points to a Pokémon on the page.
"Oh that's Umbreon! It's an evolution of Eevee."
Sho looks at him with a question clearly building in his mind, Izuku waits patiently for him to ask.
"C-Can you show me what an Eevee looks like?"
Izuku smiles and nods, "Let's head to the training grounds, alright?"
Sho nods rapidly, he helps Izuku pack up his stuff before grabbing Izuku's hand and pulling him along.
When they get to the training grounds Miss Zisu raises an eyebrow.
"What are you two doing here? Izuku I understand, but Sho?"
Izuku gestures to Sho, "He wanted to see an Eevee, and since I have Drake I figured I could show him. But we came here just to make sure we don't startle anyone."
Zisu looks at them, before nodding, "Alright, but I'll be keeping an eye on you."
Izuku nods before bringing Sho to the side of the training grounds.
"Ready?"
Sho nods vigorously, "Yeah!"
Izuku pulls out Drake's Poke-Ball, releasing the Shiny Eevee who cries out in joy and hops into his arms.
"Hey Drake! I brought you out to meet someone," he turned and set Drake down.
"Sho this is Drake, an Eevee! Drake, this is Sho, a kid from the village."
Sho's eyes were sparkling as he looked at Drake, who stepped up to him and gently bonked his head against Sho's knee.
"Soooo cool!"
...
Anvin smiled as he watched the young man work at the bench.
Apparently the Professor banned him from leaving the village until his arm healed fully, so the kid was stuck running around doing menial tasks around the village.
Right now, he was furiously perfecting his craft at making Poke-balls, and when he got tired of that he started whittling some wood into a vaguely doll-like shape.
He also took a few tasks from Anvin himself, so he had a pretty busy day.
"How's this?" The kid held up a Poke-ball without looking away from his notebook.
Reaching out and grabbing it, he looks over the item.
It was pretty good, a couple of mistakes here and there but not anything that would compromise the functionality.
"Looks good, though when you get to the finer details make sure to lighten your hand a bit."
The kid nods and takes the item back before jotting down a few notes.
...
Zisu grinned as the rookie kid struggled to stay standing.
She couldn't push him too hard with his arms, cause he was still healing but that didn't mean she couldn't push his scrawny noodle limbs to get faster!
Plus! He was the one that asked her to train him.
Walking up to the kid she pats him on the back and hands him a cup of water.
"Doing great kid! Keep it up!"
He smiles weakly as he finishes the water fast, "T-Thanks…. I feel like I'm going to die."
She barks out a laugh, "Good! Means the exercise is working! Now back at it." She pushes him forward and he starts up again.
...
He sighed a brief bout of smoke, careful not to let any sparks hit the plants, as he harvested some crops from the garden, it's been a while since he left the little alcove he currently resides in.
Maybe he can pack a bit and go for a little trip.
Grrrrruff
Looking to the cry he spots his Houndoom, Greta, walking over to him. Scratching her head, he speaks.
"Thinking about going on a short trip, you think you're up for it?"
Rouff!
"Good, you can go get the others ready, I need to go speak to Miss Cogita."
She nods and runs off into the forest near the camp.
Standing up he grunts as his back pops, "Arceus, I'm getting old."
Wiping his hands off he ruffled his black hair, grumbling about how it needs a cut and a good clean, he walks off to find the old lady.
