Chapter 70: A New Rival Enter Nemona
Hello everyone, this chapter will focus on Ash getting a new rival and introduce some new characters I hope you enjoy it!
It's now the next day we see the group on another Island and are currently at a Pokémon Center. The ride on Lapras's back was very comfortable for the group, the reason they stopped on this island was to get some supplies for their journey and to get a quick check up on their Pokémon. When they were about to leave Ash looked at the screen on the Pokémon Center and saw that Harrison was going to battle Leaf's mom Rose. The group learned that Harrison has defeated Lorelai, Bruno, and Agatha. The battles were intense, but Harrison was able to win. Now Harrison's going up against Rose who's in his way before he can face champion Blue. Harrison's Pokémon consists of Weavile, Miltank, Manectric, Hariyama, Salamence and Blaziken. While Rose's Pokémon consists of Wigglytuff, Poliwrath, Rillaboom, Ditto, Alakazam and Venusaur. The gang watch the battle between Harrison and Rose and it's a very intense one. Both trainers go back and forth with their Pokémon giving everything they got to not lose the battle for their trainer.
The battle keeps going until Harrison has 1 Pokémon left while Rose has two, on the screen we see an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Harrison's Blaziken and Rose's Rillaboom. Both mons are panting heavily until Rillaboom falls on the ground laying on its stomach unconscious as the ref speaks.
"Rillaboom's unable to battle Blaziken's the winner!" The ref calls Harrison and Blaziken cheer in victory while the crowd let's out a loud roar as the announcer speaks.
"After a long and drawn-out battle Harrison's Blaziken has finally defeated Rose's Rillaboom will he be able to defeat her final Pokémon who hasn't battled yet?!" The announcer says as on the other side of the battlefield Rose returns Rillaboom to its Pokeball she looks at the ball and speaks.
"Thank you Rillaboom take a good rest" Rose says as she puts the ball back on her belt she then looks forward and speaks.
"I must say you really are a strong trainer, but you won't beat my last one Go! Venusaur!" Rose says she throws the ball forward as her Venusaur appears. The plant dinosaur lands on the battlefield shakes it and lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that almost blows Harrison and Blaziken back, but they stand their ground. Once Venusaur's done roaring it looks forward and gets in a battle stance with Blaziken doing the same as Harrison begins to think.
"So, Venusaur's her final Pokémon it looks tough. That battle with Rillaboom really took a lot out of Blaziken even though it increased its speed with Speed Boost Rillaboom was able to catch it thanks to it using Grassy Glide. It's not looking good for us but I'm not going to give up" Harrison says to himself he then looks at Blaziken and speaks.
"Blaziken we're one step away from winning this battle and challenging the champion I know you're tired, but I believe that you can win!" Harrison says with Blaziken roaring in agreement while Rose looks at them and smiles as the ref speaks.
"Both trainers have one Pokémon left whoever defeats their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner. If both trainers are ready, you may now continue!" The ref says as Harrison makes the first move.
"Let's go Blaziken use Flamethrower!" Harrison calls Blaziken quickly fires the stream of fire as Rose speaks.
"Venusaur use Protect!" Rose calls as the plant dinosaur quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the move. When the flames go away the barrier goes down as Rose speaks.
"That was a pretty hot Flamethrower guess it's time to use this" Rose says as she pulls out a necklace with a keystone on it surprising Harrison as he speaks.
"Is that a keystone?" Harrison asks with Rose nodding as she speaks.
"Yep, it is Now! Venusaur Mega Evolve!" Rose says as a Mega Stone appears from Venusaurs flower and glows. There are rays of light that appear from the Keystone and Mega stone that connect together and start to shine brighter with Venusaur roaring. Everyone looks they see Venusaur's body change it grows a foot and 3 inches' taller, the flower on its back grows larger, and two pink flowers bloom. It has a pink flower on both its head and rear. Its legs along with its back have become sturdier, it gains additional leaves with wooden stems that grow around the flower and develops dark markings on its forehead. Once the evolution's done the mon makes itself known and lets out a big roar that shakes the battlefield and blows Blaziken back a few feet away. Once Venusaur's done roaring it looks at Blaziken while the fire chicken and Harrison both have surprised looks on their faces as Harrison speaks.
"I wasn't expecting you to mega evolve your Venusaur" Harrison says as Rose speaks.
"Well seeing as you've defeated the other 3 Elite 4 members, I decided to show you my full power so come on!" Rose says with Venusaur roaring making Harrison smile as he speaks.
"Fine then here we come Blaziken use Overheat!" Harrison calls Blaziken roars its body heats up then fires a large wave of fire that heads for Venusaur as Rose speaks.
"Don't move Venusaur" Rose says with the mon nodding as the Overheat connects creating an explosion. When the explosion clears Venusaur appears and doesn't have a single scratch on it surprising Harrison and Blaziken as Rose speaks.
"Like your Hariyama my Venusaur's ability when it mega evolves is Thick Fat which halved the damage of the Overheat and now it's time for us to counter" Rose says while smiling as Harrison speaks.
"Get ready Blaziken!" Harrison says with the mon nodding as Rose speaks.
"Now use Power Whip!" Rose calls Venusaur roars it fires multiple large green whips at Blaziken as Harrison speaks.
"Dodge Blaziken use Swords Dance then Brave Bird!" Harrison calls when the green whips go to grab Blaziken the fire chicken quickly jumps high into the air dodging the attack. Blaziken sharply raises its attack power, covers its body in fire then glows a shiny blue. Blaziken then heads for Venusaur as Rose speaks.
"Venusaur quick use Protect!" "I don't think so hit it Blaziken!" Harrison calls before Venusaur can use Protect Blaziken goes faster and hits Venusaur hard on the head creating an explosion and making Venusaur skid back. Venusaur's groaning in pain from the super effective move while Harrison smiles. Blaziken lands back on the ground and takes recoil damage as Rose speaks
"Not bad but you'll need more than that to take down my Venusaur now use Frenzy Plant to grab Blaziken!" Rose calls Venusaur roars, it summons multiple large vines and sends them at Blaziken as Harrison speaks.
"Blaziken quick use Blaze Kick, Flamethrower and dodge those vines!" Harrison calls with Blaziken nodding. When the vines go to hit Blaziken the fire chicken heats up its legs and begins kicking/firing streams of fire at the vines. Blaziken's also managing to dodge the vines too allowing for its Speed Boost ability to activate. While Blaziken continues to dodge and fight off the vines Rose smiles and speaks.
"Now Venusaur" Rose says with the mon nodding as it begins to increase the number of vines making it more difficult for Blaziken to dodge/fight back as the vines begin to hit Blaziken causing damage as Rose speaks.
"Now grab it!" "Look out Blaziken!" Both trainers call Blaziken's unable to dodge in time as it's grabbed by multiple vines that wrap around its body. Blaziken tries to break free but is unable to it then looks forward and sees Venusaur charging a Solarbeam as Rose speaks.
"Now! Fire!" "DODGE BLAZIKEN!" Both trainers call Venusaur roars as it fires a large Solarbeam. Blaziken can't dodge as it's then consumed in the beam. Blaziken cries out in pain and is sent crashing into the wall behind Harrison creating an explosion as Harrison yells.
"BLAZIKEN!" Harrison yells in worry. When the smoke clears everyone can see Blaziken stuck in the wall it then falls on the ground laying on its stomach knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Blaziken's unable to battle Venusaur's the winner! Seeing as the challenger Harrison has no more Pokémon left this means that Elite 4 member Rose is now the winner!" The ref calls Rose gets a big smile on her face and speaks.
"Alright!" Rose cheers with her Venusaur roaring in victory as it reverts back to base. The crowd cheers too as the announcer speaks.
"And there we have it folks Elite 4 member Rose has defeated the challenger making him unable to face the champion!" The announcer says the crowd continues to cheer as Rose runs over to Venusaur and hugs it making the plant dinosaur smile. Meanwhile, in a building where the other 3 Elite 4 members, Goodshow, and Blue are they've smiles on their faces as Lorelai speaks.
"Rose managed to defeat him" Lorelai says as Bruno speaks.
"Yes, it was a tough battle for both of them, but Rose came out the victor" Bruno says as Agatha speaks.
"It was a good thing the Rose decided to mega evolve her Venusaur because if she didn't the battle could've gone in Harrison's favor" Agatha says as Blue speaks.
"No, I disagree even if Rose didn't mega evolve, she still would've won because of how tired Harrison's Blaziken was. But it still would've been a challenge of course" Blue says with the 4 adults nodding as they look back on the battlefield. We see Harrison walk over to Blaziken he helps the mon stand back up and speaks.
"Hey Blaziken, are you okay?" Harrison asks with the fire chicken nodding and telling Harrison sorry as the teen speaks.
"It's okay Blaziken you and everyone else did great" Harrison says with Blaziken nodding. Rose and Venusaur then run over when they make it Rose looks at Harrison and speaks.
"That was a great battle you gave me young man it's been a while since my Pokémon, and I got to really let loose thank you. I'm also interested in seeing how much stronger you get in the future" Rose says while smiling with Venusaur smiling too. Harrison and Blaziken look at them and smile too as Harrison speaks.
"Thank you and even though I'm not going to face the champion my Pokémon and I are satisfied we got, and we enjoyed the battle too. Also, if I ever get the chance to battle you again my Pokémon and I will win" Harrison says with Blaziken agreeing. Rose and Venusaur smile as they all shake each other's hands and the crowd cheers for them as the announcer speaks.
"That's the end of challenger Harrison's Elite 4 run let's give him and Blaziken a big round of applause everyone!" The announcer says as the crowd begins clapping for Harrison and Blaziken making them smile. A few minutes later Harrison receives a gold medal then he along with his Pokémon get their picture taken with the Elite 4, Goodshow, and champion Blue. We now come away from the screen we see the group sitting at a table in the Pokémon Center as Misty speaks.
"I can't believe Harrison lost and Leaf I wasn't expecting your mom to be so strong" Misty says as Tracey speaks.
"I also wasn't expecting her to use Mega Evolution either" Tracey says as he along with Misty look at the girl as she speaks.
"Yeah, she may not look it but my mom back in the day was a pretty big battle fanatic" Leaf responds with the 2 nodding. We then see Ash along with Pikachu and Raichu they've surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Harrison's strong he was able to give Ms. Green a tough fight and was close to winning but lost in the end." Ash says as the 2 mouse Pokémon look at him, Ash then stands up from the table looks at the 2-mons and speaks.
"In that case we can't fall behind we're going to catch up to him and beat him one day" Ash says making Pikachu and Raichu smile they begin to spark their cheeks as Ash speaks.
"Okay let's go do some training" Ash says as he along with Pikachu, and Raichu begin heading out of the center Misty speaks.
"Ash wait for us!" Misty says as she along with Tracey and Leaf quickly run after them. When they leave the center Ash almost runs into a girl, he quickly stops himself and speaks.
"Oh, sorry about that" Ash says as he along with the 2 mouse Pokémon begin to run in the opposite direction heading towards a beach with Misty, Leaf, and Tracey behind them. Meanwhile, back with the girl, she has a surprised look on her face then speaks.
"Was that who I think it was?" The girl says as she then gets a smile on her face. We then see 3 adults walk over to her 2 men and 1 woman. One of the men is wearing a green jacket and has blonde hair, the other man is wearing a suit and has a tired look on his face. The woman has long green hair and red eyes. When they make it to the girl the blonde hair man speaks.
"Ms. Nemona are you okay that boy didn't run into you now did he?" The man asks as Nemona speaks.
"No, but once I'm done healing my Pokémon, I'm going to request a battle with him" Nemona responds making the 3 adults' confused as they all then go into the center so that Nemona can heal her Pokémon.
10 minutes later we see Ash, Misty, Leaf, and Tracey they're currently at a beach with no other Pokémon or trainers around. Ash smiles and speaks.
"This looks like a good spot to train" Ash says to himself as he pulls out 4 Pokeballs and throws them high into the air. The balls then open as Grovyle, Charcadet, Hawlucha, and Croconaw appear from their Pokeballs. Pikachu along with Raichu go to stand next to them, the 6-mons then look at Ash as Tracey speaks.
"Wow Ash has a Grovyle, Charcadet, Hawlucha, and Croconaw I gotta sketch this" Tracey says as he begins to sketch the 4-mons while Misty and Leaf look at him Ash then speaks.
"Okay guys, after watching Harrison's battle with Ms. Rose it's gotten me more motivated to train. So today I'm going to have you guys' spar with each other" Ash says with the 6-mons nodding they then break away and begin to stare at each other waiting to see who'll make the first move. The 6-mons keep staring at each other as Ash speaks.
"Okay Pikachu use Thunderbolt on Hawlucha and Hawlucha dodge!" Ash calls Pikachu fires the electric bolt it heads for Hawlucha but the lucha bird quickly jumps in the air avoiding the attack. The Thunderbolt heads for Charcadet as Ash speaks.
"Charcadet dodge then use Flamethrower on Pikachu and Pikachu dodge!" Ash calls Charcadet jumps to the right avoiding the electric bolt it then fires the hot stream of fire at Pikachu but the yellow mouse dodges. Pikachu begins to run towards Charcadet with Charcadet running towards it as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu Wild Charge and Charcadet use Flame Charge!" Ash calls both mons cover their bodies in fire/electricity respectively. When they're about to collide, they notice Raichu building up psychic energy as Ash speaks.
"Now Raichu use Psychic and Pikachu, Charcadet dodge!" Ash calls Raichu fires the psychic waves it goes to grab the 2-mons, but they manage to quickly back away in time. The Psychic then heads for Croconaw but the alligator isn't worried, it ready's its teeth as Ash speaks.
Croconaw use Crunch!" Ash calls Croconaw covers its teeth in dark energy and bites down on the psychic easily destroying it. Grovyle then appears in front of Croconaw it has its right arm ready as Ash speaks.
"Grovyle use Leaf Blade and Croconaw dodge!" Ash calls the 3 leaves on Grovyle's arm becomes a grassy blade and goes to hit Croconaw but the gator bends backwards avoiding the attack. Grovyle then uses Leaf Blade on its left arm and goes to hit Croconaw again, but the gator does a backflip dodging the attack. Once Croconaw lands it begins to fill its mouth with water as Ash speaks.
"Croconaw use Hydro Pump and Grovyle dodge!" Ash calls Croconaw fires a large Hydro Pump it goes to hit Grovyle but the grass gecko quickly jumps in the air avoiding the attack. In the air Grovyle sees Hawlucha flying towards it as Ash calls for a command.
"Hawlucha use Aerial Ace and Grovyle counter with Thunder Punch!" Ash calls Hawlucha speeds up it goes to hit Grovyle while the grass gecko covers its left fist in electricity and collides with Hawlucha. The 2-mons begin pushing each other back and forth for a little bit until they back away from each other and land back on the battlefield. When they land Grovyle notices Raichu behind it while Hawlucha notices Pikachu behind it, the 2 mouse Pokémon are sparking their cheeks as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu, Raichu use Thunderbolt and Grovyle, Hawlucha dodge!" Ash calls Pikachu and Raichu fire the electric bolts they go to hit their respective opponent, but Grovyle and Hawlucha manage to jump out of the way allowing the two bolts of electricity to collide and create an explosion. When the explosion clears Pikachu and Raichu stare at each other as they notice Charcadet, Croconaw, Grovyle and Hawlucha appear. The 6-mons stare at each other as Ash speaks.
"Alright let's keep going!" Ash says with the 6-mons nodding as they all charge forward with Ash starting to call out for commands. Meanwhile off to the side we see Misty (having Sobble and Quaxly on her shoulders and holding Togepi), Leaf, and Tracey. They watch Ash train his Pokémon as Tracey speaks.
"Ash's doing a good job at commanding 6 Pokémon at once" Tracey says with the 2 girls nodding as Misty speaks.
"He has a lot of experience" Misty says with Tracey nodding as he continues to watch Ash train his Pokémon. Back on the battlefield the 6-mons clash with each other then back away they stare at each other as Ash speaks.
"Nice you're all looking great now Pikachu use-" Before Ash can finish everyone hears a voice.
"Hey!" The voice says causing Ash to stop as he along with everyone turn around. When they do they see a girl around Ash's, Leaf's, and Misty's age. She has black hair with 2 pieces of green hair sticking out in the front and is wearing a school uniform with an orange tie. She continues to run toward them as once she gets close enough to Ash she stops, pulls out a Pokeball and speaks.
"When two trainers' eyes meet it's time for battle!" The girl says while holding a Pokeball forward and having a smile on her face. The group look at her having confused looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"Um who's this?" Misty says with Leaf not knowing, Tracey then takes a closer look at the girls uniform and speaks.
"That outfit where have I seen it before?" Tracey says to himself while thinking. Meanwhile back to Ash and the girl Ash continues to look at her as he speaks.
"Wait aren't you the girl that I almost ran into? And you want to battle me?" Ash asks with the girl nodding as she speaks.
"Yes, whenever I see a strong trainer, I've to battle them and you're the same right?" The girl asks as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Heh you're not wrong about that okay I'll take you on let's battle!" Ash says having an excited look on his face with his Pokémon getting in a battle stance making the girl happy as she speaks.
"Alright here I come! Go! Paw-" When the girl's about to throw her Pokeball forward everyone hears a voice.
"MS. NEMONA!" The voice says causing the girl to stop and makes her stumble a little bit as she along with everyone else look as they see 3 adults running towards them. When the 3 adults catch up, they pant a little bit as the blonde-haired man looks at Nemona and speaks.
"Ms. Nemona what did I tell you about running off on your own? You never know what could happen" The man says while looking at Nemona as she speaks.
"You're right about that Hassel I'm sorry I was just so excited" Nemona responds as the black-haired man speaks.
"This suit is not made for running" The man says as the green haired woman speaks.
"Is it the suit or are you just out of shape?" The woman says jokingly making the black-haired man glare at her while she smiles. Meanwhile the group have confused looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Um who're you people?" Ash asks making the 4 humans look at him as Hassel looks at Nemona and speaks.
"You didn't introduce yourself? That's very rude, Ms. Nemona" Hassel says with the girl nodding. She then looks at Ash and speaks.
"Sorry about that I forgot to introduce myself my name's Nemona and I'm from Cabo Poco in the Paldea region" Nemona says surprising the group as Tracey speaks.
"The Paldea region? I knew I saw that uniform before it's from Naranja Academy, right?" Tracey asks as Nemona speaks.
"Yep, that's right I may not look it but I'm the Student Council president there" Nemona responds surprising the group as Misty speaks.
"And who're the people behind you?" Misty asks as Hassel speaks.
"My name's Hassel I'm an art teacher at Naranja Academy and a member of the Paldea Elite 4 it's a pleasure to meet you" Hassel says as the green haired woman speaks.
"My name's Rika I'm a receptionist for the Paldea league and also an Elite 4 member" Rika says as the black-haired man speaks.
"My name's Larry I'm a businessman from Medali in the Paldea region and a gym leader. Oh, and I'm also a member of the Paldea Elite 4" Larry says. Ash along with his Pokemon, Misty, Leaf, and Tracey all have surprised looks on their faces as Leaf speaks.
"Whoa! I can't believe that we've ran into 3 members of the Paldea Elite 4" Leaf says with stars in her eyes as Tracey speaks.
"I know what you mean" Tracey says as he begins to sketch the 3 of them Ash speaks.
"How were you able to have 3 members of the Paldea Elite 4 travel with you?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"Oh, after I told my parents that I wanted to take on the Orange League they didn't want me to travel alone so they hired Hassel, Rika, and Larry to keep watch over me" Nemona responds with the 3 adults nodding as Ash speaks.
"Whoa that's so cool! Oh, my name's Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town and these are my Pokémon along with my friends" Ash says as his Pokémon along with Misty, Leaf, and Tracey say hi. Nemona then speaks.
"Oh, yeah, I know who you are I watched your battle against that Ritchie kid on the SS. Anne and also your league battles. I've been very interested in you for a long time now; watching your battles made me more motivated to complete my gym challenge. The moment I saw you I just knew I had to request a battle" Nemona says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"I see, you mentioned about taking on the gym challenge in Paldea how many badges do you have?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"Oh, I've all 8 badges and I got my final badge about a month ago. Seeing as the Paldea league doesn't start until 3 months from now I decided to come here to take on the Orange League to train up my Pokémon and win the whole thing! Also, a week ago I had a gym battle against Cissy of the Orange Crew and got my first gym badge it's called the Coral-Eye Badge." Nemona responds she then pulls out the badge. Ash along with his friends look at the badge it's a small pink badge with what looks like a gem in the middle. The group are amazed by it as Misty speaks.
"It looks so pretty" Misty says with Leaf agreeing as Ash speaks.
"So, that's what the badge looks like man this makes me more excited to get mine" Ash says with his Pokémon nodding as Nemona speaks.
"So, Ash about my request from earlier will you accept my challenge?" Nemona asks as Ash looks at her and speaks.
"You bet I never run away from a challenge and I'm excited to see what a trainer from the Paldea region is capable of" Ash responds making Nemona happy as she speaks.
"Thank you, Ash!" Nemona cheers happily, she then looks at Hassel, Rika, and Larry then speaks.
"You 3 are okay with this right?" Nemona asks as Rika speaks.
"I'm okay with it besides our boat doesn't leave for another 30 minutes" Rika says as Larry speaks.
"It'll also give us a break from all the running around" Larry says as Hassel speaks.
"I don't mind either as I'm also interested in this battle" Hassel responds making Nemona happy as she speaks.
"You 3 are the best!" Nemona says happily making the 3 adults smile as Ash speaks.
"So, what're the rules for the battle?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"It'll be a 5v5 battle and we're both allowed to make substitutions." Nemona says with Ash nodding. After that Ash (with his Pokémon behind him) and Nemona take their positions. Hassel takes the referee spot then speaks.
"This is a 5v5 battle between Ms. Nemona and Sir. Ash. Both trainers are allowed to make substitutions and whoever defeats all of their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner. If both trainers are ready, please send out your first Pokémon!" Hassel says as Nemona pulls out a Pokeball and speaks.
"Here I come Ash let's have a Fruitful Battle now come out Tauros!" Nemona says she throws the ball forward as she sends out a combat breed Tauros. When the bull appears, it lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave showcasing its power. The bull then looks forward and waits for its opponent as Ash speaks.
"So, a combat Breed Tauros is first it looks bigger/stronger than Lee but that doesn't scare me" Ash says to himself he then looks at Hawlucha with the lucha bird nodding. Ash smiles, he looks forward and speaks.
"Hawlucha I choose you!" Ash says as the lucha bird jumps on the battlefield it does a pose then gets into a battle stance. The 2-mons look at each other as off to the side Misty speaks.
"So, it's Hawlucha vs Tauros first" Misty says as Tracey speaks.
"In terms of type Ash has the advantage" Tracey says with Misty and Leaf nodding. Next to them Rika and Larry watch on in silence as back on the battlefield Nemona speaks.
"I watched your Hawlucha battle in the league and was impressed by its strength I'm expecting a great challenge from it" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Oh, don't worry we'll give you a challenge" Ash says with Hawlucha nodding Hassel then speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their first Pokemon let the battle begin!" The ref calls as Nemona speaks.
"Here I come Ash Tauros use Bulk Up then Zen Headbutt!" Nemona calls Tauros roars it increases its attack/defense covers its head in psychic energy and begins to run towards Hawlucha as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha use Swords Dance and counter with Aerial Ace!" Ash calls Hawlucha sharply increases its attack power then shoots forward at a fast speed and collides with Tauros. The 2-mons begin pushing each other back and forth for a little while until Tauros wins the exchange and pushes Hawlucha away. The lucha bird safely lands a couple feet away as Ash speaks.
"You okay Hawlucha?!" Ash asks with the lucha bird nodding as Nemona speaks.
"We're not done yet Tauros use Rockslide!" Nemona calls Tauros roars it summons multiple large boulders around it and fires them at Hawlucha as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Hawlucha and when you get close to Tauros use Brick Break!" Ash calls Hawlucha starts running forward and is easily dodging the large boulders. Once Hawlucha manages to dodge all of the boulders both of its hands glow white and jumps towards Tauros going to hit it in the face as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros counter with Zen Headbutt!" Nemona calls when Hawlucha goes to bring its hands down Tauros covers its head in psychic energy and collides with Hawlucha. Hawlucha tries its best to push Tauros down, but the bull is too strong as it manages to knock away Hawluchas hands and goes to hit the bird as Ash speaks.
"Jump Hawlucha!" Ash calls when Tauros is just inches away from hitting Hawlucha the lucha bird manages to use its left leg to jump off Tauros's head and is now in the air dodging the bull's attack. Hawlucha then starts to fall towards Tauros as Ash speaks.
"Now Flying Press!" Ash calls Hawlucha starts spinning downward then spreads out its wings glowing red it goes to hit Tauros as Nemona speaks.
"Back away Tauros then use Body Slam!" Nemona calls Tauros quickly jumps back dodging Hawlucha's attack and making the lucha bird hit the ground instead. Tauros then jumps towards Hawlucha it goes to stomp its hooves on it as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Hawlucha then use High Jump Kick!" Ash calls Hawlucha quickly stands up as it manages to jump back in time as Tauros stomps its hooves on the ground. When Hawlucha lands its left leg glows red then shoots forward as it knees Tauros hard in the face making the bull groan a little in pain as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros use Zen Headbutt!" "Dodge Hawlucha and get on Tauros's back!" Both trainers call Tauros covers its head in psychic energy and goes to hit Hawlucha but the lucha bird manages to narrowly dodge to the left avoiding the move. Hawlucha then manages to land on Tauros's back, it has its hands ready as Ash speaks.
"Now use Swords Dance then Brick Break!" Ash calls Hawlucha sharply increases its attack power again its hands glow white as it begins to repeatedly hit Tauros's back making the bull cry out in pain as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros try shaking it off with Close Combat!" "Hold on Hawlucha!" Both trainers call Tauros roars as it starts running around the battlefield doing crazy movements trying to get Hawlucha off its back. But the lucha bird hangs on trying its best to not get thrown off as Ash speaks.
"Yeah! That's it Hawlucha keep holding on!" Ash cheers along with his Pokemon with Hawlucha nodding. As Hawlucha continues to hold onto the bull Nemona gets an idea and speaks.
"Tauros fall on your back!" Nemona calls surprising Ash as before he can make a command Tauros manages to fall on its back as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha!" Ash calls in worry as when Tauros stands back up everyone can see Hawlucha laying on its back groaning in pain as Nemona speaks.
"Now Close Combat!" "Dodge Hawlucha!" Both trainers call Hawlucha's unable to dodge in time as Tauros manages to throw Hawlucha in the air and begins to hit it repeatedly with its horns. Tauros continues to hit Hawlucha until it turns around and kicks it with its back hooves sending Hawlucha flying until it crashes below Ash's feet as the boy speaks.
"Hawlucha!" Ash calls in concern. When the dust clears Hawlucha's on its back groaning in pain, but it stands back up. Hawlucha looks at Ash telling him that it can still battle then looks back at its opponent with Tauros looking at it as Nemona speaks.
"Wow! Your Hawlucha's a real tough cookie Ash not a lot of Pokemon can survive a Close Combat from my Tauros" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, my Hawlucha trains a lot with my fighting types and has great defenses" Ash says with the lucha bird nodding making Nemona smile as Ash begins to think.
"That Close Combat was powerful Hawlucha looks like it can barely continue I need to end this fast" Ash says to himself as he calls for his next command.
"Hawlucha run forward!" Ash calls Hawlucha nods as it begins to run forward Nemona speaks.
"Tauros you run forward too and when you get close use Zen Headbutt!" Nemona calls Tauros roars as it begins to run forward too. As Tauros's running it covers its head in psychic energy just when it and Hawlucha are about to collide Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha use Aerial Ace on Tauros's legs!" Ash calls Hawlucha speeds up going fast as it manages to hit the bulls' legs causing it to trip and fall on the battlefield while Hawlucha is now behind it. Nemona has a surprised look on her face as she speaks.
"Tauros are you okay?!" Nemona asks in concern. The bull groans in pain but stands back up. It looks at its trainer and nods but feels pain in its right leg as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros above you!" Nemona calls Tauros, looks at the sky and sees Hawlucha falling towards it as Nemona speaks.
"Use Rockslide!" Nemona calls Tauros roars it quickly fires multiple large boulders at Hawlucha as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Hawlucha!" Ash calls Hawlucha's easily dodging the boulders it continues to head for Tauros as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros use Bulk Up then Zen Headbutt!" Nemona calls Tauros roars it increases its attack/defense again covers its head in psychic energy then jumps towards Hawlucha. As Tauros is about to hit Hawlucha Ash calls for a command.
"Dodge Hawlucha then use High Jump Kick!" Ash calls Hawlucha manages to dodge Tauros's attack its right leg glows red as it kicks Tauros hard in the stomach making the bull cough in pain as it's sent crashing back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears Tauros stands back up its groaning in pain but shakes its head, Tauros then sees Hawlucha land and is glowing in a golden aura as Ash speaks.
"Hawlucha charge up a Sky Attack!" Ash calls with Hawlucha nodding as it continues to glow building up the energy Nemona speaks.
"We won't let you Tauros use one more Bulk Up and end it with Raging Bull!" Nemona calls Tauros lets out a mighty roar it increases its attack/defense again, its horns are covered in orange energy with its body becoming covered in orange as well. Tauros then starts running towards Hawlucha going to hit the bird. Hawlucha then feels as though it's finished charging as Ash speaks.
"Okay Hawlucha use Sky Attack!" Ash calls Hawlucha nods as it shoots forward and collides with Tauros. The 2-mons begin pushing each other back and forth trying to see who's stronger. Tauros has the upper hand and begins to push Hawlucha back as Nemona speaks.
"Yeah! That's it Tauros keep pushing!" Nemona cheers with Tauros nodding, the bull continues to push but then feels pain in its right leg causing it to stop as groans in pain. Nemona has a surprised look on her face as Ash speaks.
"Now Hawlucha!" "Lucha!" Both Ash and Hawlucha yell as Hawlucha manages to break through Tauros's Raging Bull and hits it on the head creating a big explosion along with a strong wind as Nemona yells.
"Tauros!" Nemona calls in worry as when the wind and explosion clear everyone can see the 2-mons. Hawlucha's still standing and is panting heavily while looking at an unconscious Tauros who's laying on the ground as Hassel speaks.
"Tauros's unable to battle Hawlucha's the winner!" Hassel calls as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Alright!" Ash cheers along with his Pokemon while Hawlucha lets out a mighty "Lucha!" in victory and does a pose. Meanwhile, off to the side Misty, Leaf, and Tracey are happy that Hawlucha won as Misty speaks.
"Nice Ash got the first win" Misty says with Leaf, and Tracey smiling as Larry speaks.
"It was a good thing that he injured Tauros's right leg otherwise his Hawlucha would've lost" Larry says with Rika nodding. Back on the battlefield Nemona's sad that Tauros lost but smiles she returns the mon back to its Pokeball and speaks.
"Thank you, Tauros," Nemona says as she puts the ball back on her belt she then looks over at Ash and speaks.
"Not bad Ash back at home not many trainers are able to beat my Tauros good job" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, and I've to say your Tauros was tough if I didn't have Hawlucha injure its right leg the outcome would've been different" Ash says with Hawlucha nodding as Nemona speaks.
"Well, that's possible but that's the outcome and now I believe it's time for round 2 Quaxwell you're up!" Nemona says she throws the ball forward as a bipedal blue duck like Pokémon that looks like a bigger version of Quaxly appears. The mon has a serious look on its face as Ash speaks.
"Who's that Pokémon?" Ash says as he along with Leaf take out their Pokedex's to scan it.
"Quaxwell the Practicing Pokémon a pure water type and the evolved form of Quaxly. These Pokémon constantly run through shallow waters to train their legs, then compete with each other to see which of them kicks most gracefully." The Pokedex says as Misty speaks.
"So, that's Quaxly's evolved form what do you think Quaxly?" Misty asks as her Quaxly looks at the mon with interest in its eyes. Back on the battlefield Ash speaks.
"Wow it looks tough" Ash says as Hawlucha speaks.
"Lucha, lucha" Hawlucha says as Ash speaks.
"You want to continue Hawlucha?" Ash asks with the lucha bird nodding as Ash speaks.
"Alright then I'm keeping you in" Ash says with Hawlucha nodding as it stares at Quaxwell with Quaxwell staring back. Hassel then calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Let's go Hawlucha use Aerial Ace!" Ash calls Hawlucha shoots forward it goes to hit Quaxwell as Nemona speaks.
"Use Disarming Voice!" Nemona calls Quaxwell lets out a charming voice that stops Hawlucha in its tracks causing super effective damage as Nemona speaks.
"Now use Aqua Jet then Air Slash!" "Dodge Hawlucha!" Both trainers call before Hawlucha can dodge Quaxwell covers its body in water and shoots forward hitting Hawlucha sending it high in the air. Quaxwell then gets on its head its legs glow white as it begins to spin sending multiple slashes of wind towards Hawlucha. Hawlucha's unable to dodge as the slashes of wind hit it creating multiple explosions Ash then yells.
"Hawlucha!" Ash yells in worry as a few seconds later Hawlucha falls from the sky and lands on its stomach knocked out. Hassel then speaks.
"Hawlucha's unable to battle Quaxwell's the winner!" Hassel calls Nemona cheers while Quaxwell smiles. Ash's sad that Hawlucha lost but smiles he pulls out its Pokeball then speaks.
"Hawlucha return" Ash says returning the mon to its ball. Ash then looks at the ball and tells Hawlucha thank you. When Ash puts the ball back on his belt, he notices Quaxwell's body and eyes glow red for a few seconds then disappear Ash then speaks.
"Does your Quaxwell have the Moxie ability?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"Yep, that's right Quaxwell just got an attack boost and is ready to continue so who's your next Pokémon?" Nemona says with Quaxwell waiting. Ash was going to send in Pikachu next, but Croconaw speaks.
"Croc" Croconaw says catching Ash's attention as he looks at the mon.
"You're saying you want to battle?" Ash asks with the gator nodding. Ash smiles and speaks.
"Alright Croconaw then you're up next!" Ash says with the croc nodding as it jumps forward and lands on the battlefield. Croconaw and Quaxwell look at each other as off to the side Leaf speaks.
"So now it's a battle between Croconaw and Quaxwell" Leaf says with Misty and Tracey nodding. Back on the battlefield Croconaw and Quaxwell continue to stare at each other until Croconaw starts to dance. Once Croconaw's done dancing Quaxwell begins to dance too showcasing just how elegant it is. After that the 2-mons begin to have a dance battle to see who's the better dancer, everyone has confused looks on their faces until the 2-mons stop as Ash speaks.
"Um what was that?" Ash questions as Nemona speaks.
"Looks like that was their way of greeting each other" Nemona responds with Ash nodding. After that the 2-mons get into battle stances as Hassel speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" Hassel calls as Nemona speaks.
"Let's attack first Quaxwell use Aqua Jet!" Nemona calls Quaxwell covers its body in water then shoots forward going to hit Croconaw as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Croconaw use Dragon Dance then Crunch!" Ash calls Croconaw quickly dances to the right easily dodging Quaxwell's attack. Croconaw begins to break dance with purple draconic energy surrounding its body raising its attack/speed. Croconaw then covers its teeth in dark energy and jumps forward going to bite Quaxwell as Nemona speaks.
"Quaxwell use Aqua Cutter!" Nemona calls Quaxwell covers its feet in water then starts to kick its legs sending out 2 water blades that hit Croconaw causing damage and making it crash into a nearby rock as Ash speaks.
"Croconaw!" Ash calls in worry as a few seconds later Croconaw appears it stands but groans a little in pain the gator can still battle as Ash speaks.
"What was that move?" Ash says to himself as Nemona speaks.
"Aqua Cutter is a move where the user expels pressurized water turning it into a blade, and it also has a heightened chance of landing critical hits. And from the looks of it that was a critical hit" Nemona responds Ash then looks over at Croconaw who's panting a little bit as Ash begins to think.
"Man, not only was that a critical hit but since Quaxwell got an attack boost from Moxie it did a lot of damage to Croconaw I've to watch out for that" Ash says to himself as he calls for his command.
"Croconaw use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Croconaw takes a deep breath and fires the large stream of water at Quaxwell as Nemona speaks.
"Quaxwell use Aqua Cutter!" Nemona calls Quaxwell covers its right foot in water and swings it forward sending out a water blade that connects with the Hydro Pump. The water blade easily cuts through the Hydro Pump it heads for Croconaw as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Croconaw!" Ash calls Croconaw quickly jumps in the air avoiding the move. When Croconaw's in the air Quaxwell is there too and raises its right leg as Nemona speaks.
"Use Liquidation!" "Block Croconaw!" Both trainers call Quaxwell covers its right leg in water then turns it into a blade. Quaxwell brings the blade down, but Croconaw quickly brings up its arms and blocks the attack. Croconaw is then sent crashing back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud when the dust clears Croconaw's laying on its back groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Croconaw above you!" Ash calls Croconaw looks up and sees Quaxwell falling towards it as Nemona speaks.
"Now use Low Kick!" "Dodge Croconaw!" Both trainers call Quaxwell points its right leg forward it goes to kick Croconaw but Croconaw quickly jumps out of the way avoiding the move and makes Quaxwell kick the ground instead. Quaxwell then shoots towards Croconaw as Nemona speaks.
"Use Double Hit!" "Counter with Aqua Tail! Both trainers call Quaxwell gets its feet ready while Croconaw covers its tail in water and jumps forward colliding with Quaxwell. When that happens, Quaxwell goes to kick Croconaw with its left leg, but Croconaw manages to parry the attack the 2-mons then begin to parry each other's attacks until they back away from each other as Ash speaks.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Croconaw quickly fires the large stream of water as Nemona speaks.
"Use Aqua Cutter!" Nemona calls Quaxwell launches 2 water blades that easily cut through the Hydro Pump and head for Croconaw as Ash speaks.
"Punch them back with Ice Punch!" Ash calls Croconaw covers both of its fists in ice and punches both water blades. The ice punch turns them into ice blades they're then sent back at Quaxwell as Nemona speaks.
"Dodge Quaxwell!" Nemona calls Quaxwell manages to easily dodge the 2 icy blades when that happens Croconaw appears in front of it and has its right fist ready as Ash speaks.
"Now use Ice Punch then Aqua Tail!" Ash calls Croconaw covers its right fist in ice and punches Quaxwell hard across the face making the duck groan in pain. Croconaw then covers its tail in water and slams its tail hard into Quaxwell's stomach making the duck cough in pain as it's then sent flying a few feet away until it lands on its back as Nemona speaks.
"Quaxwell!" Nemona calls in worry as Quaxwell manages to stand back up and is ready to continue. Ash's a little surprised that Quaxwell stood back up but then calls for his next command.
"Okay Croconaw use Ice Punch!" Ash calls Croconaw covers its right fist in ice and shoots forward as Nemona speaks.
"Counter with Double Hit!" Nemona calls Quaxwells feet glow white then jumps forward as its left foot connects with Croconaw's fist. The 2-mons begin pushing each other back and forth. They keep doing that until Quaxwell goes to kick Croconaws face with its right foot Ash quickly calls for a command.
"Croconaw dodge then use Aqua Tail!" Ash calls Croconaw manages to dodge by ducking, the croc then quickly covers its tail in water spins around and slams its tail hard in Quaxwell's stomach making the duck cough in pain. Quaxwell's sent flying Croconaw takes a deep breath as Ash speaks.
"Now Hydro Pump!" "Quaxwell use Aqua Cutter!" Both trainers call Croconaw fires a big Hydro Pump that heads for Quaxwell. Quaxwell groans a little in pain but manages to cover its feet in water and launches 2 large water blades that easily cut through the Hydro Pump. Ash's unable to tell Croconaw to dodge in time as the 2 water blades hit it creating an explosion and Quaxwell crashes into a nearby wall which creates a dust cloud. Ash and Nemona have worried looks on their faces as they call to the Pokemon.
"Croconaw!" Quaxwell!" Both trainers call when the dust clears everyone can see Croconaw laying on its back knocked out while Quaxwell's stuck in the wall and is knocked out too. Hassel then makes the call.
"Croconaw and Quaxwell are both unable to battle!" Hassel calls Ash and Nemona have surprised looks on their faces then return their Pokemon to their Pokeball's Misty then speaks.
"So, it ended in a draw" Misty says with Leaf and Tracey nodding. Off to the side Rika and Larry are a little surprised that Croconaw managed to tie with Quaxwell. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Croconaws Pokeball and speaks.
"Thanks, Croconaw take a good rest" Ash says as he puts the ball back on his belt. Ash then looks over at Nemona and sees her put her Pokeball away too. Nemona looks at Ash, smiles and speaks.
"Not bad Ash I wasn't expecting your Croconaw to tie with my Quaxwell" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, I was hoping Croconaw would've defeated your Quaxwell but tying is fine too" Ash says with Nemona nodding. Nemona then pulls out her next Pokeball and speaks.
"Okay Ash we both have 3 Pokémon left here's my next one come on out Charcadet!" Nemona says she throws the ball forward as her Charcadet appears and gets in a battle stance. Ash's surprised to see that Nemona has a Charcadet too he then looks at his Charcadet and speaks.
"You ready Charcadet?" Ash asks with the fire child nodding as Ash speaks.
"Okay it's your turn!" Ash says as his Charcadet jumps on the battlefield and looks at Nemona's Charcadet then gets in a battle stance with Nemona's doing the same. Hassel calls for the battle to continue as both Ash and Nemona speak.
"Use Flame Charge!" Both trainers call their Charcadets cover their bodies in fire and run forward. They keep running until they collide in the middle of the battlefield and begin to push each other back and forth. As they keep doing that Ash's Charcadet manages to push Nemona's Charcadet back a few feet away surprising Nemona as she speaks.
"So, his Charcadet is physically stronger than mine" Nemona says to herself then smiles as she calls for her next command.
"Okay Charcadet use Flamethrower!" Nemona calls her Charcadet fires the stream of fire towards Ash's as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Charcadet then use Flame Charge!" Ash calls his Charcadet moves to the left easily avoiding the flames. Charcadet then covers its body in fire and starts running towards Nemona's as Nemona speaks.
"Charcadet use Incinerate!" "Dodge Charcadet and keep running!" Both trainers call Nemona's Charcadet summons multiple fire balls around it and fires them at Ash's. Ash's Charcadet begins to easily maneuver through the fire balls and keeps running forward. When Ash's Charcadet's done dodging the Incinerate it goes to hit Nemona's Charcadet as Nemona speaks.
"Use Protect then Night Shade!" Nemona calls just when Ash's Charcadet is about to hit hers. Nemona's Charcadet manages to summon a protective barrier and successfully blocks the attack. Nemona's Charcadets eyes glow as it fires 2 black, crimson beams that hit Ash's Charcadet and send it flying a few feet away as Ash speaks.
"Charcadet are you okay?" Ash asks with Charcadet nodding it groans a little in pain but can still battle making Ash happy as he calls for his next move.
"Great Charcadet now let's get in close again use Flame Charge!" Ash calls his Charcadet covers its body in fire and starts running towards Nemona's Charcadet. As Ash's Charcadet's getting closer Nemona speaks.
"Heh, I knew you'd do this now Charcadet use Disable!" Nemona calls her Charcadets eyes glow as it manages to disable Ash's Charcadets Flame Charge surprising both Ash and the fire child as Ash speaks.
"It knew Disable?!" Ash says in shock he then sees Nemona's Charcadet building up fire from its mouth as Nemona speaks.
"It's over Ash Charcadet use Overheat!" "Charcadet quick dodge!" Both trainers call Ash's Charcadet can't dodge in time as Nemona's Charcadet fires the big stream of fire that consumes Ash's Charcadet. Ash's Charcadet cries out in pain as it's sent flying and crashes next to Ash creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Charcadet!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see his Charcadet laying on its back groaning in pain. A few seconds later his Charcadet stands back up and is panting heavily as Ash speaks.
"Way to go Charcadet!" Ash says happily as Nemona speaks.
"Wow it managed to survive an Overheat from my Charcadet not bad" Nemona says while having a smile on her face. Meanwhile Nemona's Charcadet pants heavily and feels its special attack decrease. Ash looks over at Nemona's Charcadet and speaks.
"Okay after using Overheat her Charcadets special attack is lowered. This is where our counterattack begins Charcadet use Flamethrower!" Ash calls with his Charcadet nodding as it goes to use the move, it feels pain all over its body then falls forward and lays on its stomach in defeat. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces as Hassel speaks.
"Ash's Charcadet's unable to battle Nemona's Charcadet's the winner!" Hassel calls Nemona and Charcadet cheer in victory while Ash's surprised Misty then speaks.
"I can't believe that Ash's Charcadet lost quickly" Misty says with Tracey and Leaf nodding as Larry speaks.
"His Charcadet lost because Nemona had her Charcadet make Ash's Charcadet come closer. It weakened it with Night shade then ended the battle with a full power Overheat. Nemona's Charcadet has a high special attack, so it makes since as to why Ash's Charcadet lost." Larry says with the 3 trainers nodding as they look back at the battlefield. Ash's still surprised that Charcadet lost but shakes his head and returns the mon back to its Pokeball.
"Sorry Charcadet take a good rest" Ash says as he puts the ball back on his belt. He then looks over at Nemona returning her Charcadet then speaks.
"You're returning your Charcadet?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"Yeah, I want to give it a break for now and I'm going to use this one instead. Go! Pawmot!" Nemona says as she throws the ball forward and a yellow bipedal stout like Pokemon appears. The mon has an excited look on its face and is ready to battle. Ash looks at the mon and speaks.
"Who's that Pokémon?" Ash says as he along with Leaf take out their Pokedex's to scan the mon.
"Pawmot the Hands-On Pokémon an Electric/Fighting type. This Pokémon normally is slow to react, but once it enters battle, it will strike down its enemies with lightning-fast movements." The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.
"An Electric/Fighting type huh? Well in that case I'll go with you" Ash says while looking at Raichu making the floating mouse excited as Ash speaks.
"Okay Raichu you're up!" Ash says with Raichu nodding as she floats on the battlefield and gets in a battle stance. Nemona looks at the mouse and has a smile on her face as Leaf speaks.
"Now that Raichu's on the field its psychic type moves will be super effective against Pawmot" Leaf says with Misty and Tracey nodding. Back on the battlefield Hassel calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Let's go Raichu use Psychic!" Ash calls when Raichu goes to use Psychic Nemona calls for a command.
"Pawmot use Fake Out then Knock Off!" Nemona calls as in a blink of an eye Pawmot shoots forward instantly reaching Raichu and claps its hands together making Raichu flinch. Pawmot then covers its right hand in dark energy and chops Raichus head sending it crashing on the ground as Ash speaks.
"Raichu!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears Raichu stands back up but is groaning in pain, Raichu then sees Pawmot falling towards it as Nemona speaks.
"Pawmot use Knock Off again!" "Use Dig to dodge Raichu then use Iron Tail!" Both trainers call Pawmot covers its right hand in dark energy and goes to hit Raichu again. But Raichu manages to Dig underground avoiding the attack and making Pawmot chop the ground instead. Raichu then bursts from underneath Pawmot sending it flying in the air, Raichu flies after it covers its tail in steel energy and hits Pawmot's stomach sending the mon crashing back on the battlefield creating a dust cloud Ash then speaks.
"Way to go Raichu!" Ash says with Raichu nodding as Nemona speaks.
"My Pawmot's not done yet" Nemona says as when the dust clears everyone can see Pawmot standing. It has a few scratches but is overall fine, Ash along with Raichu have surprised looks on their faces as Nemona speaks.
"My Pawmots physical defense is very high you'll need a lot more than that to take it down. Now Pawmot use Knock Off!" Nemona calls Pawmot covers both of its hands in dark energy and shoots forward going to hit Raichu as Ash speaks.
"Raichu use Electric Terrian and dodge!" Ash calls Raichu sparks its cheeks and fires electricity everywhere covering the whole battlefield in it. When Pawmot goes to hit Raichu the floating mouse easily dodges and begins moving around the battlefield quickly as its ability is now activated. Pawmot tries to keep its eyes on Raichu but the mouse is too fast Ash then speaks.
"Now Raichu use Psyshock!" Ash calls Raichu fires multiple orbs of psychic energy at Pawmot as Nemona speaks.
"Pawmot knock them away with Knock Off!" Nemona calls Pawmot covers its fist in dark energy and begins punching the psychic orbs away. As it's doing that Raichu's building up more psychic energy as Ash speaks.
"Now Raichu use Psychic!" Ash calls before Nemona could tell Pawmot to dodge Raichu fires the psychic waves that hit Pawmot causing super effective damage and sends it flying a few feet away making it land on its back. Pawmot's groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Great job Raichu now use Nasty Plot and end this battle with Thunder!" Ash calls Raichu nods she sharply raises her special attack and summons a large electric bolt from the sky that comes crashing down on Pawmot creating an explosion. When the explosion clears everyone looks at Pawmot laying on its back as Ash speaks.
"Great job Raichu you defeated Pawmot!" Ash says happily making Raichu smile. Nemona then smirks and speaks.
"Are you sure about that?" Nemona asks making Ash confused as he looks at Pawmot and sees it stand back up which shocks Ash as he speaks.
"But how?!" Ash says in surprise he keeps looking at Pawmot and sees it glow green for a few seconds. After that the mon has a refreshing smile on its face as Ash speaks.
"Wait does it have the Volt Absorb ability?" Ash asks with Nemona nodding as she speaks.
"Yes, it does and now Pawmot's back to full health" Nemona responds as Pawmot smiles Ash grits his teeth and begins to think.
"Looks like Psychic/Fairy type moves are our best options" Ash says to himself he looks at Raichu and speaks.
"Let's keep going Raichu!" Ash says with the floating mouse nodding while Nemona smiles Ash calls for his next command.
"Raichu use Disarming Voice!" Ash calls Raichu lets out a charming voice of fairy energy that heads for Pawmot as Nemona speaks.
"Dodge Pawmot and use Crunch!" Nemona calls Pawmot moves to the right and easily avoids the Disarming Voice. Pawmot covers its teeth in dark energy and shoots towards Raichu reaching it instantly. Pawmot goes to bite Raichu as Ash speaks.
"Raichu use Substitute then Psychic!" Ash calls Raichu quickly summons a clone that takes its place allowing Pawmot to bite it instead. Raichu's now behind Pawmot when it goes to fire the Psychic Nemona calls for a command.
"Pawmot use Substitute then Bulk Up!" Nemona calls surprising Ash as when Raichu launches the Psychic Pawmot creates a clone that takes its place allowing the psychic to hit it instead. Pawmot then appears behind Raichu it quickly increases its attack/defense then gets its fists ready as Nemona speaks.
"Now Pawmot use Close Combat!" "Raichu Substitute!" Both trainers call Raichu can't use Substitute in time as Pawmot begins punching/kicking Raichu repeatedly making the floating mouse cry out in pain. As Pawmot keeps hitting Raichu it begins to spark its left fist as Nemona speaks.
"Now finish it with Thunder Punch!" Nemona calls Pawmot quickly covers its left fist in electricity and punches Raichu hard in the face sending the floating mouse crashing back down on the battlefield and creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Raichu!" Ash calls in worry Pawmot then lands back down and looks forward as when the dust clears everyone can see that Raichu's knocked out Hassel then makes the call.
"Raichu's unable to battle Pawmot's the winner!" Hassel calls Nemona and Pawmot cheer in victory while Ash along with Pikachu, Grovyle, and his friends are surprised. The Electric Terrian goes away too as Misty speaks.
"Raichu lost too" Misty says as Tracey speaks.
"And now Ash only has one Pokemon left while Nemona still has 3 will he be able to turn this around?" Tracey asks but neither Misty nor Leaf are sure. Back on the battlefield Ash returns Raichu to its Pokeball he then looks at the ball and speaks.
"Thank you Raichu you did great now take a good rest" Ash says as he puts the ball back on his belt then looks at Nemona and sees her return her Pawmot.
"You're returning your Pawmot?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"Yep, and I'm going to use this one Come on out Meowscarada!" Nemona says she throws the ball forward as her Meowscarada appears. When the mon appears its fur color is different from a regular Meowscarada making it shiny, the cat has a smile on its face and waits for its opponent as Ash speaks.
"So, her last one's a Meowscarada I can sense a lot of power from it, but I won't back down" Ash says to himself he then looks at Grovyle who nods as Ash speaks.
"Okay Grovyle I choose you!" Ash says as Grovyle immediately jumps on the battlefield. The 2 grass types look at each other as Nemona speaks.
"So, your last one's Grovyle I was thinking that you'd use your Pikachu" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"I thought about it, but I got the feeling that my Grovyle wanted to battle your Meowscarada" Ash responds with Grovyle nodding as Nemona smirks and speaks.
"It seems like you really are able to understand your Pokémon's feelings I like that" Nemona responds as her Meowscarada gets into a battle stance Ash speaks.
"Get ready Grovyle" Ash says with the grass gecko nodding as it gets in a battle stance too. The 2 trainers and Pokemon stare at each other in silence as Hassel speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" Hassel calls as both trainers call for their commands.
"Grovyle Aerial Ace!" "Meowscarada Acrobatics!" Both trainers call Meowscarada quickly turns into a flying type as it and Grovyle instantly shoot towards each other and collide. The 2-mons begin pushing each other back and forth Meowscarada begins to overpower Grovyle as Ash speaks.
"Grovyle now that Meowscarada's a flying type use Thunder Punch!" Ash calls Grovyle covers its left fist in electricity and goes to uppercut the magician as Nemona speaks.
"Back away Meowscarada and use Chilling Water!" Nemona calls Meowscarada quickly jumps back avoiding the Thunder Punch and lands a few feet away. Meowscarada turns into a water type creates a ball of icy water and throws it at Grovyle which hits it. The attack doesn't do a lot of damage, but Grovyle can feel its attack decrease as Ash speaks.
"What was that?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"Chilling water is a move which can decrease the opponents attack power" Nemona responds with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Well in that case we'll just increase our power Grovyle use Swords Dance!" Ash calls as Nemona speaks.
"I won't let you Meowscarada use Chilling water again!" "Grovyle quick use Leaf Blade!" Both trainers call before Grovyle can use Swords Dance Meowscarada launches the icy ball of water at Grovyle. The 3 leaves' on Grovyle's arms turn into grassy blades and the gecko easily cuts the ball of water. When that happens Meowscarada instantly appears in front of Grovyle and has its fists ready as Nemona speaks.
"Now use Acrobatics!" "Dodge Grovyle!" Both trainers call Grovyle can't dodge in time as Meowscarada turns into a flying type and begins to repeatedly punch/kick Grovyle causing super effective damage. Meowscarada then punches Grovyle hard in the face sending it flying a few feet away making it land on its back, Grovyle groans in pain but then looks at Meowscarada who has a smile on its face making the grass gecko mad as Ash speaks.
"Man, that one Acrobatics did a lot of damage to Grovyle but I won't give up yet" Ash says to himself then looks at Grovyle and speaks.
"You can still battle right Grovyle?!" Ash asks with Grovyle nodding the grass gecko struggles a little to stand up but eventually does and looks at Meowscarada as Nemona speaks.
"Yeah, that's what I like to see, and we'll match you Meowscarada use Acrobatics again!" Nemona calls Meowscarada gets a blue outline and shoots forward heading for Grovyle as Ash speaks.
"Grovyle jump in the air!" Ash calls Grovyle quickly jumps in the air narrowly avoiding Meowscardas attack. Meowscarada looks at the air born gecko as Nemona speaks.
"Jump after it and use Night Slash!" Nemona calls Meowscarada jumps after Grovyle, it covers its claws in dark energy and becomes a dark type. When Meowscarada goes to hit Grovyle Ash speaks.
"Dodge Grovyle then use Thunder Punch!" Ash calls Grovyle manages to narrowly avoid Meowscaradas claws. Grovyle quickly covers its right fist in electricity and punches Meowscaradas stomach as hard as it can making the grass cat crash back down on the battlefield. Meowscarada then stands back up it feels electricity flowing around its body as it's now paralyzed, Meowscarada sees Grovyle falling towards it as Ash speaks.
"Now use Areial Ace then Leaf Blade!" "Block Meowscarada!" Both trainers call Grovyle speeds up and the leaves on its arms become grassy blades. Meowscarada quickly brings up its arms as Grovyle slams its right blade on them. Meowscarada tries to push Grovyle away but can't because of the paralysis stopping its movements. Meowscarada is then sent sliding back a few feet away. Once Meowscarada stops it looks at Grovyle and smiles as Ash speaks.
"Darn that didn't work" Ash says while gritting his teeth with Grovyle doing the same as Nemona speaks.
"Haha! You're really amazing Ash now I'll show you my full power!" Nemona says as she takes out a black orb. Ash along with Misty and Leaf have confused looks on their faces as Tracey speaks.
"Wait is that what I think it is?" Tracey says as Nemona speaks.
"Meowscarada it's time to Terastallize!" Nemona says with the grass cat nodding. Nemona holds the black orb forward as it begins to glow, Nemona then throws the orb above Meowscarada making the orb glow more as Meowscarada is covered in a glass pillar. A few seconds later Meowscarada bursts out of the pillar everyone then sees that Meowscarada is wearing a crown jewel that looks like a bouquet of flowers and its body is glistening. Meowscarada then opens its eyes and lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that almost blows Ash, Pikachu, and Grovyle away but they stand their ground. When the shockwave stops Ash looks at Meowscarada and speaks.
"What's this?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"This is called Terastallization" Nemona responds as Ash speaks.
"Terastallization?" Ash says as Nemona speaks.
"Terastallization is something that was discovered in the Paldea region it allows a Pokémon to change into their Tera Type and gain more power." Nemona responds with Ash nodding as Misty speaks.
"I've never heard of this" Misty says with Leaf nodding as Tracey speaks.
"I've read about it in books, but this is my first time seeing it in person" Tracey says back on the battlefield Nemona continues to speak.
"Also, every Pokémon can Terastallize and sometimes depending on the Pokemon their Tera Type's different from their main typing. Seeing as my Meowscarada's Tera Type is grass this means that its grass type moves are a lot stronger than before" Nemona says with Meowscarada smiling. Meanwhile, Ash, Pikachu, and Grovyle are still in shock and are amazed by the power. Ash quickly shakes his head, recomposes himself and speaks.
"Man, you're full of surprises Nemona but I'm not going to give up we're winning this right Grovyle!" Ash says while having a determined look on his face with Grovyle having the same look. Nemona smiles and speaks.
"Then bring it on!" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Alright here we come Grovyle use Bullet Seed!" Ash calls Grovyle quickly fires the grassy seeds as Nemona speaks.
"Meowscarada knock them away!" Nemona calls Meowscarada easily knocks the grassy seeds away when it does Grovyle appears in front of it as Ash speaks.
"Now Leaf Blade!" "Dodge Meowscarada and when you see an opening use Energy Ball!" Both trainers call the leaves on Grovyle's arms turn into grassy blades the gecko then begins to try and hit Meowscarada but the grass cat's too fast. Meowscarada keeps dodging until it sees an opening and fires a ball of green energy, Grovyle quickly brings up its arms and successfully blocks the attack, but the move does push it a few feet back. Grovyle then looks at Meowscarada and begins to pant as Ash thinks.
"Even though that Energy Ball didn't hit Grovyle it still did some damage to it I need to end this fast" Ash says to himself and calls for his next command.
"Grovyle use Leaf Blade!" Ash calls Grovyle creates two grassy blades and shoots forward going to hit Meowscarada as Nemona speaks.
"Meowscarada it's time we end this dodge then use Tera Burst!" Nemona calls "Tera Burst?" Ash questions. When Grovyle goes to hit Meowscarada with its left blade the grass cat ducks dodging the attack. The crown on Meowscaradas head then shines more intensely as grassy energy goes into its right fist. Before Ash could tell Grovyle to dodge Meowscarada punches Grovyle hard in the chest making the grass gecko cough in pain as it feels the wind knocked out of it. Meowscarada then sends Grovyle flying, Grovyle keeps going until it crashes next to Ash creating a cloud of dust as Ash yells.
"Grovyle!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Grovyle laying on its back knocked out as Hassel speaks.
"Grovyle's unable to battle Meowscarada's the winner! Seeing as Ash has no more Pokémon left Nemona's the victor!" Hassel calls Nemona, gets a big smile on her face and speaks.
"We Won! Great job Meowscarada!" Nemona says happily with the grass cat nodding as its Terastallization disappears. Nemona then runs over and gives the cat a hug with Meowscarada returning it as Misty speaks.
"Ash lost" Misty says in a sad tone as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah, but he did good" Leaf says as Tracey speaks.
"He fought hard, but Nemona was stronger" Tracey says with Misty and Leaf nodding as Larry speaks.
"I hate to admit it, but this Ash kid is strong" Larry says as Rika speaks.
"I agree he did pretty well against Nemona and wasn't scared when faced with a Pokémon that can Terastallize" Rika says with Larry nodding. Meanwhile, back on the battlefield Ash has a surprised look on his face he then shakes his head and looks at Grovyle. Ash bends down gently lifting Grovyle's head, the grass gecko looks at Ash and Pikachu telling them sorry as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Grovyle you and everyone else did their best and next time we'll win" "Pika" Ash and Pikachu say while having determined looks on their faces making Grovyle smile. They then see Nemona and Meowscarada walk over when they get close enough Ash and Grovyle stand back up as Nemona speaks.
"Man, Ash that was an amazing battle I haven't had a battle that fun in a long time thank you" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, my Pokémon and I had fun too I also wasn't expecting that Terastallization" Ash says as Nemona speaks.
"Seeing you get so fired up got me excited too, so I just had to show it to you. Usually, Terastallization only works in Paldea but I'm happy to know that it works here" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Wait so is it similar to Dynamax where you can only do it in that specific region?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"Yes, in Paldea there are these crystals that allow your Pokemon to Terastallize but you see before coming to the Orange Islands my Tera orb was fully charged which allowed me to use it. And I won't be able to use it again until I get my orb recharged which means that I'll have to send it back home to Paldea" Nemona says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"I've to say Terastallization's cool and I hope I get to use it one day" Ash says excitedly as Nemona speaks.
"Oh, you definitely should whenever you decide to come to the Paldea region I'll give you a Tera Orb and help you Terastallize your Pokemon" Nemona says with a smile making Ash happy. After that everyone else walk over to them when they make it Hassel speaks.
"That was a splendid battle you two had it moved me to tears" Hassel says with happy tears flowing from his eyes as Ash speaks.
"Um is he okay?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"Yeah, he's fine he's just very passionate" Nemona says with Ash nodding as Larry speaks.
"Sorry to interrupt your conversation but our boat to Navel Island is leaving soon" Larry says with Nemona nodding as Ash speaks.
"Navel Island?" Ash says as Rika speaks.
"It's the location for Nemona's next gym challenge" Rika says with Ash nodding as Nemona speaks.
"Well looks like this is goodbye for now Ash I wish that I could stay longer and have another battle with you" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, I want to battle you again too but the next time we see each other I'll be the one who wins" Ash says while having a determined look on his face with Pikachu and Grovyle having the same look. Nemona and Meowscarada smile as Nemona then holds out her right hand and speaks.
"Well then going forward let's have a Fruitful rivalry" Nemona says with Ash nodding as he grabs Nemona's hand allowing the 2 trainers to shake hands as they've now become rivals. Everyone looks at them and smile a couple seconds later Ash and Nemona let go as Nemona speaks.
"Also, Ash for your gym challenge at the Mikan Island don't expect a traditional gym battle" Nemona says making Ash confused as he speaks.
"What do you mean by that?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"Sorry can't spoil everything you'll need to see for yourself" Nemona responds with Ash nodding. After that Nemona along with Rika, Larry, and Hassel get on a boat and head for Navel Island. The group then go to the Pokémon Center so Ash can heal his Pokémon. Once that's done, they all go to the shore as Ash speaks.
"Man, Nemona was strong I can't wait to battle her again" Ash says while having an excited look on his face as Misty speaks.
"But before that you'll need to challenge the gym first" Misty says with Ash nodding he then looks at Tracey.
"Hey Tracey, how long until we reach Mikan Island?" Ash asks as Tracy speaks.
"It should take us about a day while riding on Lapras" Tracey responds with Ash nodding as he pulls out Lapras's Pokeball.
"Lapras I choose you!" Ash says sending out the transport Pokémon who has a smile on her face. Everyone then gets on Lapras's back once they're on Ash speaks.
"Alright next stop Mikan Island Let's Go!" Ash says excitedly with everyone cheering as Lapras begins to swim to the island the chapter comes to an end.
Thank you for reading if you've made it this far. There we have it Ash's new rival during the Orange Island arc will be Nemona. The reason as to why I'm having Nemona be Ash's rival here is because seeing as I'm not going to reach Paldea for a long time I just felt that it would be a good idea to have Nemona here. There will be other characters introduced later that will be Ash's rivals in this arc too, but Nemona will be Ash's main one.
Were you guys surprised that Nemona was able to Teratillize her Meowscarada? At first, I wasn't going to have her do that but after watching Pokémon Horizons (This is a spoiler) Friede was able to Teratillize his Charizard in the Galar region, so I felt that it was okay for Nemona to do the same for her Meowscarada. In Ash and Nemona's future battles I won't have her use Teratillization she'll only use it here and in a battle that her and Ash will have later in the future.
Next chapter will come out next week where Ash will finally challenge the Mikan Island gym and potentially win his first badge, I hope you all look forward to it.
