Chapter 49 Kanto League training Thunder and the Battle Royal
Hello everyone, this chapter will have the gang be reunited with another old character, meet a legendary Pokemon and take on the Battle Royal I hope you all enjoy.
3 days after Ash's battle with Ritchie he continues to train his Pokemon for the league. Riolu along with Froakie have become a lot more focused on training after losing to Ritchie and want to become a lot stronger. Ash's Pokemon help them train the two mons also receive training from Charizard and Gyarados too. Grovyle's gotten stronger after evolving it has made Rowlet, Grookey and Sprigatito more motivated to train as well. Today the gang have traveled to a grassy field in the mountains the Pokemon Ash has with him today are Pikachu, Noibat, Grookey, Snorunt, Dunsparce and Flygon. Ash felt as though he hasn't been spending a lot of time with Noibat, Grookey, Snorunt and Dunsparce so he decided to focus on them today. Currently Ash and Misty are having a double battle it's Misty's Popplio and Tirtouga against Ash's Snorunt and Dunsparce. Brock along with his Pokemon consisting of Onix, Sandslash, Alolan Golem, Nacil, Kangaskan and Vulpix are off to the side watching the battle. Misty's other Pokemon consisting of Golisopod, Vaporeon, Sobble, Quaxly and Togepi are happily cheering for Misty and their teammates. Back to the battle we see the four-mons clash then skid back to their respective trainers Ash then calls for his commands.
"Snorunt use Ice Beam on Tirtouga and Dunsparce use Stone Edge on Popplio!" Ash calls the two-mons fire their moves heading for their respective target. Misty isn't worried as she calls for her commands.
"Tirtouga counter with Rollout and Popplio use Aqua Jet to dodge the Stone Edge!" Misty calls Tirtouga rolls forward and easily destroys the Ice beam. Popplio covers its body in water it shoots forward and easily maneuvers through the Stone Edge. As Popplio and Tirtouga are about to hit their respective targets Ash makes a command.
"Snorunt, Dunsparce dodge!" Ash calls the two mons easily dodge Popplio and Tirtouga getting above them as Misty speaks.
"Popplio, Tirtouga make a quick turn!" Misty calls the two-mons nod Popplio and Tirtouga quickly turn around they head towards Snorunt and Dunsparce and hit them causing an explosion. Snorunt and Dunsparce fall from the sky they groan in pain as Ash speaks.
"Are you two, okay?!" Ash asks with the two-mons nodding they then look up and see Popplio along with Tirtouga heading towards them as Misty speaks.
"Popplio use Ice Beam on Dunsparce and Tirtouga use Rockslide on Snorunt!" Misty calls the two-mons nod they quickly fire their moves as they're about to hit Snorunt and Dunsparce Ash quickly makes a command.
"Snorunt counter Popplio's Ice Beam with your own and Dunsparce use Drill Run on the Rockslide!" Ash calls Snorunt quickly fires the icy beam it collides with Popplio's beam creating an explosion. Dunsparce then spins it becomes a drill as it shoots upward and easily destroys all of the Rockslide. Dunsparce then sees Tirtouga heading towards it as Misty speaks.
"Now use Rollout!" "Dunsparce counter with Drill Run!" Both trainers call Tirtouga rolls downward while Dunsparce spins upward. Both mons collide they start pushing each other back and forth with Dunsparce coming out, the victor knocking Tirtouga away as Misty speaks.
"Now Popplio use Aqua Jet!" Misty calls Popplio quickly shoots forward and blindsides Dunsparce knocking it to the ground as Ash speaks.
"Snorunt quick use Ice Beam on Popplio!" "I don't think so Tirtouga knock Snorunt away with Rollout!" Both trainers call when Snorunt goes to fire the icy beam Tirtouga quickly rolls forward and hits Snorunt causing super effective damage to it. Snorunt is then knocked away landing on the ground as Misty speaks.
"Good now go hit Dunsparce!" Misty calls Tirtouga nods it quickly rolls towards Dunsparce as Ash makes a command.
"Dunsparce use Earth Power!" "Popplio freeze it in place with Ice Beam and Tirtouga use Rollout!" Both trainers call when Dunsparce is about to slam its tail on the ground Popplio quickly fires the icy beam it hits Dunsparce and successfully freezes it. Ash along with his Pokemon are shocked Tirtouga then hits the frozen Dunsparce with Rollout breaking it out of the ice and crashing back on the battlefield Ash then speaks.
"Dunsparce are you okay?!" Ash asks with Dunsparce nodding as Ash speaks.
"Great let's keep going!" Ash says with Dunsparce nodding as Misty smiles both trainers then call for their commands as we come back to Snorunt. Snorunt is groaning in pain that Rollout did a lot of damage to it, Snorunt looks forward it sees Dunsparce having a hard time fighting Popplio and Tirtouga by itself. Snorunt doesn't like that it wants to help its friend Snorunt then roars.
"SNO!" Snorunt roars as it glows a bright white catching everyone's attention as Ash speaks.
"Snorunt's evolving!" Ash says happily as everyone continues to look at Snorunt they see it start to float in the air and become round. It grows two spikes on its head becomes white with some holes on it when the evolution stops what was once a Snorunt is now a Glalie the mon then speaks.
"Glalie!" The mon gives a loud roar as Ash takes out his Pokedex.
"Glalie, the Face Pokémon a Pure Ice Type. Glalie has a tempered ice body that doesn't melt even under a direct flame. It can freeze vapors in the air instantly." The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.
"Whoa congrats on evolving Glalie!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Noibat, Flygon, Grookey and Dunsparce. Glalie smiles at them it then looks back at its opponents as Ash speaks.
"Right, we're in the middle of a battle Glalie let's show off your new power!" Ash says with Glalie nodding as Misty speaks.
"Glalie evolving doesn't scare us Tirtouga use Stone Edge on Glalie!" Misty calls Tirtouga slams its flippers on the ground summoning the sharp stones they head towards Glalie as Ash makes a command.
"Glalie use Gyro Ball!" Ash calls Glalie covers its body in steel energy it spins forward easily destroying the Stone Edge and reaches Tirtouga shocking Misty. Misty quickly regains composure as she calls for her next command.
"Popplio use Hydro Pump!" Dunsparce quick use Drill Run on Popplio!" Both trainers call when Popplio goes to fire the move Dunsparce appears blindsiding the sea pup. Popplio cries out in pain as it's knocked a few feet away, Popplio looks at Dunsparce with Dunsparce looking at it as Ash speaks.
"Great job Dunsparce now Glalie use Water Pulse!" "Tirtouga break through it with Aqua Jet!" Both trainers call Glalie fires the ball of water as it goes to hit Tirtouga the sea turtle covers its body in water and shoots forward easily destroying the move. Glalie then appears on Tirtouga's left side shocking the turtle and Misty as Ash makes a command.
"Glalie use Gyro Ball!" Ash calls before Misty can make a command, Glalie covers its body in steel energy it spins and hits Tirtouga causing damage to it. Tirtouga is sent flying and crashes into Popplio making both mons fall on the ground Ash calls for his next command.
"Now Dunsparce use Earth Power!" Ash calls Dunsparce quickly slams its tail on the ground creating a large crack that travels down the battlefield and hits Popplio and Tirtouga sending them flying in the air as Glalie appears above them Ash makes his next command.
"Now Glalie push them back down with Blizzard!" Ash calls Glalie fires the large amount of snow it consumes Popplio and Tirtouga making them cry out in pain as they fall back on the ground. When the smoke clears Popplio's unconscious while Tirtouga is still active but groaning in pain Misty then speaks.
"Tirtouga use Stone Edge on Glalie!" "Oh no you don't Dunsparce use Drill Run!" Both trainers call when Tirtouga goes to fire the sharp stones at Glalie Dunsparce quickly turns into a drill it shoots forward and hits Tirtouga's back. Tirtouga cries out in pain as it's sent flying towards Misty landing below her feet knocked out shocking the red head as Ash speaks.
"Alright we Won!" Ash happily cheers along with his Pokemon Misty bends down she looks at Tirtouga and Popplio the two mons look at her saying they're sorry as Misty speaks.
"It's okay you two did your best" Misty says smiling making the two-mons smile too Ash along with his Pokemon walk over to Misty when he gets closer Ash speaks.
"That was a great battle Misty thank you" Ash says with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"You may have gotten lucky today Ash but next time it'll be our victory" Misty says with her Pokemon nodding making Ash smile as Brock speaks.
"It seems like you two have improved a lot when it comes to training your Pokemon" Brock says with Ash and Misty nodding they then hear a voice.
"Ash is that you?" The voice echoes everyone turns left and see Alexa again who looks pretty tired as Ash speaks.
"Hey, aren't you Alexa? The journalist who interviewed me after I won the SS. Anne Tournament?" Ash asks with the woman nodding.
"Yep, that's me how have you been?" Alexa asks Ash, Misty and Brock say they're doing great. The group then see a small yellow lizard around Alexa's waist as Ash speaks.
"Um Alexa who's that Pokemon?" Ash asks as Alexa speaks.
"Oh, this little one is Helioptile" Alexa responds with the little lizard waving at everyone Ash takes out his Pokedex to scan it.
"Helioptile the Generator Pokemon an Electric type. When spread, the frills on its head act like solar panels, generating the power behind this Pokémon's electric moves." The Pokedex says as Misty speaks.
"It looks so cute" Misty says as she goes to pet the lizard Helioptile hides behind Alexa as the woman speaks.
"Sorry my Helioptile's a bit shy when it comes to strangers, but it'll warm up to you eventually" Alexa says with Misty nodding. Alexa then looks at the groups Pokemon she smiles and speaks.
"I'm surprised by the variety of Pokemon you all have do you mind if I take pictures of them?" Alexa asks with the gang saying it's okay making Alexa happy. Alexa then starts to happily take pictures of the groups Pokemon and Helioptile gets off Alexa's waist it goes to interact with the group's Pokemon with the group's mons welcoming it making Helioptile happy. As Alexa keeps taking pictures, she looks at Ash's Noibat and speaks.
"This Noibat is it yours Ash?" Alexa asks with Ash nodding as Alexa continues to speak.
"It's cute it reminds me of when my Noivern was a Noibat" Alexa says as Ash speaks.
"Hey Alexa if it's alright with you can I have my Noibat battle your Noivern? I know it'll be great training for it" Ash asks Alexa nods and speaks.
"Sure, I don't mind it's been a while since Noivern's had a good battle" Alexa says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Great let's have one right now" Ash says excitedly but then his stomach growls causing him to blush in embarrassment while Alexa chuckles Brock then speaks.
"Okay then looks like it's time for food while Ash and Misty were battling my Pokemon and I made lunch" Brock says as a table with food appears along with food bowls for the Pokemon as Ash speaks.
"Whoa thanks Brock okay guys it's time to eat!" Ash says with all the Pokemon agreeing. After that everyone is happily eating the food Alexa takes one bite from Brock's food, she gets stars in her eyes and speaks.
"This food's amazing, I taste ingredients from both Unova and Alola" Alexa says as Brock speaks.
"Thank you during the SS. Anne our friends Cilan and Mallow taught me about the cuisine from their regions, so I decided to try and put it in my food" Brock says as Alexa speaks.
"Well, I think you nailed it" Alexa says happily with Brock nodding Misty then speaks.
"By the way Alexa what're you doing in this part of the Kanto region?" Misty asks as Alexa speaks.
"You guys may not believe this but there's been a rumor going around saying that a wild Zapdos has been sited here" Alexa says shocking the group as Ash speaks.
"Zapdos? You mean the legendary Pokemon" Ash asks with Alexa nodding as she continues to speak.
"Yep, that's why I came here to see if I can find Zapdos and take a picture of it" Alexa responds with the gang nodding as Ash speaks.
"Zapdos huh man I hope it shows up I'd love to battle it" Ash says as Misty speaks.
"I hope it doesn't personally" Misty says as Alexa speaks.
"Well, it's only a rumor so it could be fake and Zapdos might not show up at all, so you don't have to worry" Alexa says easing Misty's anxiety with the red head nodding. Everyone continues to happily eat their meal until it's time for Ash and Alexa's battle. Unbeknownst to them the clouds in the sky begin to slowly grow darker and have electricity flowing in them.
10 minutes later everyone has finished eating their food Ash and Alexa have taken their battle positions they look at each other having smiles on their faces Brock takes the referee position as Alexa speaks.
"So, Ash what're the rules for this battle?" Alexa asks as Ash speaks.
"This is going to be a Double battle we're only allowed to use two Pokemon each" Ash says with Alexa nodding Brock then speaks.
"This is a Double battle between Ash and Alexa both trainers are allowed to use 2 Pokemon whoever knocks out all of their opponents Pokemon first will be declared the winner if both trainers are ready, please send out your Pokemon!" Brock says with Ash going first.
"Okay Noibat, Grookey I choose you!" Ash says with the two-mons going on the battlefield they both have excited looks on their faces Alexa smiles she grabs two Pokeball's and speaks.
"Okay here are my two Noivern, Gogoat Come on out!" Alexa says as Noivern appears first it lets out a loud roar creating a shockwave. Noibat looks at its evolution and is amazed it can feel the amount of power it has. Alexa's Gogoat then appears next to Noivern and glares at Ash's Pokemon Ash takes out his Pokedex to scan the mon.
"Gogoat, the Mount Pokémon a Grass Type. Gogoat is able to sense its Trainer's feelings by detecting small changes in the grip on its horns. This allows both Trainer and Pokémon to move together as one" The Pokedex says Noivern then stops roaring as it along with Gogoat stare at their opponents they get in battle stances with Noibat and Grookey doing the same Ash then speaks.
"These two-look tough but I believe in you Noibat, Grookey let's win this!" Ash says with the two-mons nodding as Alexa smiles Brock speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their Pokemon you may now begin!" Brock says as Ash makes the first move.
"Noibat use Air Slash on Gogoat and Grookey use Mega Punch on Noivern!" Ash calls Noibat fires the slashes of wind while Grookey shoots towards Noivern as they're about to hit their targets Alexa makes a command.
"Noivern use your wing to knock Grookey at the Air Slash!" Alexa calls when Grookey goes to hit Noivern the Wyvern smacks it away with its right wing making Grookey get hit by Noibat's Air Slash causing super effective damage shocking Ash and Noibat as Alexa makes a command.
"Now Gogoat use Double Edge on Grookey!" "Noibat quick use Screech on Gogoat!" "Noivern get in front of Noibat and blow it away with Gust!" Both trainers call Gogoat glows white it charges at Grookey, Noibat quickly goes to fire the screech attack, but Noivern appears in front of it shocking the bat Noivern then flaps its wings making a Gust which easily blows Noibat away. As Gogoat is getting closer to Grookey Ash makes a command.
"Grookey counter with Mega Punch!" Ash calls Grookey quickly jumps forward it and Gogoat then collide they both try pushing each other back but Gogoat easily knocks Grookey away making it crash into Noibat. The two mons fall on the ground as Alexa calls for her next command.
"Now Noivern Dragon Pulse!" Alexa calls Noivern roars it fires a big dragon beam at Noibat and Grookey as Ash makes a command.
"Noibat Counter with your Dragon Pulse and Grookey use Razor Leaf!" Ash calls Noibat and Grookey quickly fire their moves and collide with Noivern's Dragon Pulse. Noibat and Grookey try their best to push Noivern's dragon pulse back but it's too strong the dragon beam destroys their moves and hits Noibat and Grookey creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Noibat, Grookey!" Ash calls to his Pokemon when the smoke clears everyone can see the two-mons they're both groaning in pain but can still battle as their attacks lessened the damage from the Dragon Pulse Ash then speaks.
"Man, the battle has barely started, and they both look like they're close to fainting I wasn't expecting Alexa to be so strong" Ash says to himself he looks at Alexa as she speaks.
"Well then it's time to end this Gogoat use Play Rough!" Alexa calls Gogoat roars it covers its body in fairy energy and runs towards Noibat and Grookey as Ash speaks.
"Noibat, Grooket dodge!" Ash calls the two mons see Gogoat heading towards them Grookey gets up first it sees Noibat struggling to stand up. Grookey looks at the incoming Gogoat and charges towards it surprising everyone as Ash speaks.
"I see so Grookey wants to protect Noibat" Ash says to himself he smiles and speaks.
"Okay Grookey use Mega Punch!" Ash calls Grookey nods its fist glows as it jumps forward Alexa speaks.
"Gogoat knock Grookey away!" Alexa calls Gogoat roars as it collides with Grookey. The two mons begin fighting for dominance Gogoat tries to push Grookey away, but the monkey stands its ground not letting Gogoat get passed it Ash smiles and speaks.
"Yeah, that's it Grookey!" Ash cheers along with his other Pokemon cheering on the monkey Grookey nods then let's out a mighty yell.
"ROOKIE!" Grookey yells as it glows a bright white shocking everyone as Alexa speaks.
"It's evolving" Alexa says in surprise everyone continues to look they see Grookey get bigger it gains another stick, its fur becomes yellow with its hands and mouth becoming orange. It's arms become brown when the evolution stops what was once a Grookey is now a Thwackey. Thwackey then punches Gogoat away shocking everyone Ash takes out his Pokedex to scan it.
"Thwackey, the Beat Pokémon. A Grass type. Using its two sticks, Thwackey beats out a high-tempo rhythm so it can gain the respect of its peers." The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.
"Whoa congrats on evolving Thwackey!" Ash says with the monkey nodding as Alexa speaks.
"Gogoat are you okay?!" Alexa asks with the grass goat standing back up it looks at its trainer and nods it stares back at Thwackey with Thwackey looking at it as Alexa speaks.
"Your Thwackey evolving surprised me Ash but we're not going down, yet Gogoat use Protect and Noivern use Boomburst!" Alexa calls Gogoat quickly summons a protective barrier while Noivern roars and fires a wave of sound towards Ash's Pokemon as Ash makes a command.
"Thwackey, Noibat use Protect!" Ash calls the two mons quickly summon a protective barrier shielding themselves from the move. Even though they used Protect the Boomburst does crack their barriers a little but still hold on until the move disappears Gogoat then starts running towards Noibat as Alexa speaks.
"Gogoat use Wild Charge on Noibat!" "Thwackey quick use Mega Punch on Gogoat!" Both trainers call Gogoat covers its body in electricity it goes to hit Noibat as Thwackey instantly appears and punches Gogoat's side making the goat cough in pain as Gogoat slides away Noivern flies towards Thwackey as Alexa makes a command.
"Noivern use Aerial Ace on Thwackey!" "Noibat quick use Dragon Pulse!" Both trainers call as Noivern is about to hit Thwackey Noibat quickly fires the dragon beam and hits Noivern knocking it away from Thwackey as Ash cheers.
"Yeah, way to go Noibat!" Ash cheers along with his other Pokemon Noibat flies next to Thwackey the two mons look at each other and nod then look back at their opponents as Alexa speaks.
"Not bad Ash let's see how you'll handle this Noivern use Air Cutter!" Alexa calls Noivern roars it fires multiple blue X shaped slashes of wind at Noibat and Thwackey as Ash makes a command.
"Noibat Counter with your Air Cutter!" Ash calls Noibat quickly starts to flap its wings also summoning blue X shaped slashes of wind they collide with Noivern's creating multiple explosions and a smoke screen. Out of the smoke comes Gogoat it charges a Thwackey as Alexa makes a command.
"Gogoat use Aerial Ace!" "Thwackey stop Gogoat!" Both trainers call Gogoat speeds up it goes to hit the monkey as Thwackey stands its ground it holds out its hands and grabs Gogoats horns stopping it in its tracks. Gogoat tries to push Thwackey back, but the monkey isn't going anywhere Alexa then speaks.
"Noivern help Gogoat use Air Slash on Thwackey!" "Noibat quick use Dragon Claw!" Both trainers call when Noivern goes to fire the slashes of wind Noibat appears it covers its claws in green dragon energy and hits Noivern across the face making Noivern stop its attack Alexa grits her teeth while Ash smiles and calls for his next command.
"Okay Thwackey use Swords Dance then throw Gogoat in the air!" Ash calls Thwackey roars sharply increasing its attack power it then throws Gogoat high into the air and jumps after it as Alexa speaks.
"Noivern quick use Boomburst on Thwackey!" "Noibat Dragon Pulse!" Both trainers call Noivern fires the sound wave blast while Noibat fires the dragon beam. Both moves collide and cancel each other out Thwackey then appears above Gogoat it raises its fist as Ash makes a command.
"Now Thwackey use Hammer Arm!" Ash calls Thwackey roars its arm glows white and hits Gogoat making it cough in pain as it's then sent crashing back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud. Thwackey then lands back on the ground to see if Gogoat can still battle, when the dust clears everyone can see Gogoat it's laying on the ground knocked out having no intention of standing back up as Brock speaks.
"Gogoat is unable to battle Thwackey is the winner!" Brock calls as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, good job Thwackey!" Ash cheers along with his other Pokemon Thwackey looks at them and smiles. Off to the side Misty alongside her and Brock's Pokemon cheer for Thwackey too, Misty then looks at the sky she sees the clouds getting darker and gets a worried expression on her face. Noibat then flies next to Thwackey, Thwackey looks at the bat as the two give each other a high five Alexa's sad that Gogoat got defeated but smiles she returns it to its Pokeball saying thank you as Ash speaks.
"Now Noivern's the only one left very soon victory will be ours!" Ash states with Noibat and Thwackey agreeing as Alexa speaks.
"You may have defeated Gogoat but Noivern won't go down easily. Let's do this Noivern!" Alexa says with Noivern roaring in agreement it gets in a battle stance along with Noibat and Thwackey as they're about to call for their commands everyone hears a loud roar.
"ARRRRRRHHHHHHHH!" The voice echoes causing the entire area to shake as Ash speaks.
"What's that?!" Ash questions as Brock speaks.
"Look something's appearing from the sky!" Brock yells everyone looks at the sky and see lightning flowing through the clouds something then appears out of the clouds. It's a big yellow bird with spiky feathers it looks at the humans and their Pokemon as Alexa speaks.
"It's Zapdos!" Alexa says in shock the bird lets out a mighty roar with lightning coming out of the clouds everyone's in shock to see the mon as Misty looks at Alexa and speaks.
"I thought you said Zapdos appearing here is only a rumor!" Misty says as Alexa speaks.
"It looks like the rumor was true" Alexa responds as Brock speaks.
"Um guys I don't think we should be talking right now" Brock says as everyone looks at Zapdos it roars again and fires a big Thunder at the group surprising them Ash, Misty, Brock and Alexa quickly call their commands.
"Pikachu use Thunder, Flygon Dragon Pulse, Glalie Ice Beam and Dunsparce Stone Edge!" "Golisopod and Vaporeon use Ice Beam!" "Onix, Sandslash, Golem, Nacil and Kangaskan use Stone Edge and Vulpix Flamethrower!" "Noivern use Boomburst!" The 4 trainers call their Pokemon quickly fire the moves they combine together and collide with Zapdos's Thunder creating a large explosion and a gust of wind. Everyone tries to hang on Misty quickly returns Sobble, Quaxly, Tirtouga and Popplio to their Pokeball's and puts Togepi in her bag. Zapdos roars and flies toward the group as Brock makes his commands.
"Onix Iron Head, Sandslash Crush Claw, Golem use Iron Head and Kangaskhan use Power Up Punch!" Brock calls his Pokemon roar they head towards Zapdos going to hit it. Zapdos isn't fazed, its wings glow in steel energy and hits all four of Brock's Pokemon knocking them away making them crash on the ground knocked out shocking everyone Brock then speaks.
"Return!" Brock says returning the 4 mons along with Nacil and Vulpix to their Pokeball's as Misty speaks.
"Why's Zapdos attacking us?!" Misty asks as Alexa speaks.
"It must think that we're invading its home" Alexa responds as Ash speaks.
"Then we just need to tell it that we're not and meant no harm" Ash suggests as Alexa speaks.
"Unfortunately, that won't work unlike with Moltres and Articuno when Zapdos is angry can't be reasoned with" Alexa responds shocking the group as Misty speaks.
"Then what do we do?!" Misty asks as Alexa speaks.
"The only way for us to get through to Zapdos is by showing it our strength and the only way to do that is by battling it let's go Noivern!" Alexa states with Noivern nodding in agreement it flies in the air as Ash speaks.
"Alright then Flygon you're up!" Ash says with the goggled Dragon nodding as it also flies in the air and flies next to Noivern. Ash then returns Glalie, Thwackey and Dunsparce he also tells Pikachu to let Flygon handle this, and he'll call him when he needs him with the yellow mouse nodding. Ash is going to return Noibat too, but the bat refuses it wants to help as well Ash understands Noibat's feelings and speaks.
"Okay Noibat if we need your help, I'll call you in" Ash says with the bat nodding Ash then looks at Brock and Misty then speaks.
"You guys should get somewhere safe we'll take care of Zapdos" Ash says with the two kids nodding as they along with Misty's Golisopod and Vaporeon head inside a nearby cave. Zapdos then circles around it sees Noivern and Flygon then roars with the two-dragon's roaring back. Zapdos then fires a big Thunder it heads towards Noivern as Ash makes a command.
"Flygon intercept it then use Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls Flygon quickly gets in front of Noivern and blocks the Thunder as the move doesn't affect it. Flygon roars and fires a big dragon pulse at Zapdos the electric bird isn't fazed as it swings its right wing and easily knocks the Dragon Pulse away Alexa then speaks.
"Noivern use Boomburst!" Alexa calls Noivern appears behind Zapdos it fires the sound wave, but Zapdos saw that coming it quickly flies in the air dodging it as Alexa speaks.
"Keep going Noivern!" Alexa calls Noivern keeps firing the move, but Zapdos continues to fly around dodging the Boomburst. Zapdos then starts to cover its body with electricity, it flies towards Noivern and passes through the Boomburst it goes to hit Noivern as Ash makes a command.
"Flygon use Dragon Rush!" Ash calls Flygon quickly flies forward it covers its body in dragon energy and collides with Zapdos before it could hit Noivern. Flygon tries its best to push Zapdos back, but the electric bird easily pushes Flygon away making it spin out of control. Zapdos then goes after Flygon, it covers its wings in steel energy as Alexa makes a command.
"Noivern Dragon Pulse!" Alexa calls Noivern roars it fires the beam of Dragon energy, Zapdos glances behind and sees the Dragon Pulse heading towards it. Zapdos stops its pursuit of Flygon and looks at the beam, Zapdos roars as it summons a giant Thunder that easily destroys the beam and hits Noivern shocking it as Alexa speaks.
"Noivern!" Alexa calls in worry as Noivern cries out in pain the Thunder stops Noivern then falls back down on the ground knocked out as Alexa runs over to it and speaks.
"Noivern are you okay?" Alexa asks with the bat nodding she then starts to spray some Hyper Potion on it. Noibat is surprised to see that Noivern lost easily it then sees Zapdos heading for them Ash quickly makes a command.
"Flygon Stone Edge!" Ash calls Flygon roars it summons a large sharp rock and throws it at Zapdos. Zapdos notices and dodges the move by flying high in the air when it does it sees Flygon heading towards it as Ash makes a command.
"Flygon Dragon Rush!" Ash calls Flygon roars it covers its body in dragon energy and hits Zapdos in the face causing some damage as Ash speaks.
"Yes, we finally landed a hit!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu and Noibat but their cheers don't last for long as Zapdos glares at Flygon it opens its mouth as Ash speaks.
"Flygon quick dodge!" Ash calls but was too late Zapdos fires a point-blank Hyper Beam at Flygon consuming it. Flygon cries out in pain, it's sent high in the air then starts to fall down. Zapdos isn't done with Flygon, yet it charges another Hyper Beam as Ash speaks.
"No Flygon! Pikachu quick use-" Before Ash can finish Noibat quickly flies forward going to save its friend shocking Ash along with everyone else. Zapdos doesn't care it fires the orange blast as it goes to hit Flygon Noibat tries going faster but can't as Flygon is still too far away. Noibat wishes it was faster, that way it could save its friend that's when Noibat remembers Ash's other flying types they're fast too and Noibat wants to be just like them Noibat then yells.
"NOI!" Noibat lets out a mighty yell, it's going faster and faster and starts to glow a bright white shocking everyone. Noibat gets bigger along with its wings and tail what was once a Noibat is now a Noivern it continues to fly forward and grabs Flygon before the beam could hit it. Flygon then opens her eyes she looks at Noivern with Noivern looking back, Noivern tells her that every things going to be okay with Flygon nodding as she has a small blush on her face. Noivern then flies back to Ash and safely puts Flygon down Ash then speaks.
"Are you okay Flygon?" Ash asks with the goggled dragon nodding Ash then looks at Noivern with Noivern looking at him before Ash can say anything Zapdos lets out a mighty roar catching everyone's attention Ash then speaks.
"You ready Noivern?" Ash asks with the Wyvern nodding it lets out a mighty roar and glares at Zapdos, Zapdos then fires a large Thunder at Noivern as Ash makes a command.
"Noivern dodge then use Acrobatics!" Ash calls Noivern roars it quickly flies in the air it dodges the Thunder then glows a bright blue it speeds up and hits Zapdos in the stomach knocking it away surprising everyone as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, good job Noivern!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu and Flygon Noivern nods Zapdos gets angry as it lets out a mighty roar and fires 4 Thunders at Noivern as Ash makes a command.
"Noivern dodge!" Ash calls Noivern flaps its wings it begins to easily maneuver through the 4 Thunders when it does Zapdos appears in front of it, its beak begins to spin and goes to hit Noivern as Ash speaks.
"Noivern Hyper Voice!" Ash calls Noivern lets out a loud yell which hurts Zapdos's ears making the electric bird groan in pain Ash then speaks.
"Now Boomburst!" Ash calls Noivern roars it fires the waves of sound at Zapdos hitting it in the stomach blowing it away Zapdos groans in pain but brushes it away it looks at Noivern and begins to spark up its body as Ash quickly makes a command.
"Pikachu use Nasty Plot then Thunder Times 4!" Ash calls Pikachu nods it quickly jumps off of Ash's shoulder it sharply raises its special attack and yells.
"PIKA! CHUUUUUUUU!" Pikachu lets out a mighty yell summoning 4 large Thunders and sends them towards Zapdos. Zapdos doesn't have time to dodge as the 4 Thunder's hit Zapdos making it cry out in pain there's an explosion Zapdos then falls on the ground as Ash speaks.
"Yeah!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu and Noivern but their cheering doesn't last for long Zapdos opens its eyes and flies back in the air it looks at everyone again. Ash can see that Zapdos has calmed down he walks forward a couple of feet and speaks.
"Zapdos we're sorry for trespassing in your home we didn't mean to" Ash says Zapdos looks at Ash and can see that he's not lying Zapdos then looks at the group and their Pokemon they showcased how strong they are and see that they meant no harm. Zapdos nods It roars then starts to fly away, leaving the area allowing for the group to fall on the ground and breathe a sigh of relief as Misty speaks.
"Man, I thought it was never going to leave" Misty says with everyone nodding Noivern then flies back to Ash, Ash looks at it and speaks.
"That was amazing Noivern you did great against Zapdos and congratulations on evolving" Ash says with Pikachu and Flygon congratulating the Wyvern making it happy as Alexa speaks.
"Aw man I forgot to get a picture of Zapdos" Alexa says in a sad tone as Misty speaks.
"That's what you're concerned about right now?" Misty asks as Brock speaks.
"Now that we know this is Zapdos's home are you going to report this in the news?" Brock asks as Ash, Misty and their Pokemon look at Alexa as she speaks.
"As much as I want to it would be best if I don't it seems as though Zapdos wants to live here peacefully and if I report it on the news many trainers/hunters will come here and try to take Zapdos and ruin its peaceful life" Alexa responds making the group happy as Ash speaks.
"Thanks Alexa also we didn't get to finish our battle now that Noivern's evolved I would love to test out its power against your Noivern" Ash says with his Noivern agreeing as Alexa speaks.
"As much as I would want to finish our battle Noivern got hurt pretty bad from that Thunder so I'm going to decline for now" Alexa says with Ash nodding in understanding as Alexa speaks.
"But if we ever meet again or if you come to the Kalos region stop by my job in Lumiose City and we can finish our battle then" Alexa says with her Noivern nodding making Ash along with his Noivern happy. After that Alexa leaves the group heading back to the Kalos region the group wave her goodbye until she's out of view Ash then looks at Noivern, Thwackey and Glalie and speaks.
"You've guys grown a lot stronger, but the growing doesn't stop here let's keep training and make you more powerful than you are today!" Ash cheers as Noivern, Thwackey, Glalie along with Pikachu, Dunsparce and Flygon let out a loud cheer they all then give Ash a hug making the boy laugh as Brock speaks.
"I've a feeling Ash is going to do amazing in the league" Brock says with Misty nodding as they continue to watch Ash play with his Pokemon.
2 days later during the past 2 days Ash continues to train with his Pokemon. Glalie trains hard alongside Ninetales and Darumaka making sure they perfect their ice type moves. Thwackey has become a lot stronger and has formed a rivalry with Grovyle the two always spar together. Now that Thwackey has two sticks its drumming skills have become a lot better making the band it's in with Wartortle, Krookodile, Crocalor and Totodile livelier. Noivern after evolving has become faster and stronger it was able to beat Pidgeot in not only a sky race but also a battle. When Hawlucha saw Noivern in its new state he was happy for him giving him a fist bump with Noivern doing the same. Noivern and Flygon have also been spending a lot of time together and they're either training or relaxing with each other. Currently the gang are at the Ketchum residents as they along with Delia, Mr. Mime, Pikachu, Litten, Rockruff, Sprigatito, Rowlet, Riolu, Froakie, Raichu, Misty's Sobble, Quaxly, Togepi, Brocks Nacil and Shieldon are currently eating breakfast having pancakes and hash browns Ash has a smile on his face and speaks.
"Man, these Pancakes are amazing don't you agree guys" Ash asks while looking at his Pokemon who all agree. Ash then sees Pikachu and Raichu chugging down an entire bottle of Ketchup and Maple Syrup respectively Ash quickly takes the bottles away from them saying they'll get a stomachache if they drink too much the two mouse Pokemon pout causing everyone to laugh as Delia speaks.
"I'm happy you all like it" Delia says happily with the gang nodding as Brock speaks.
"If you don't mind, I would love it if you shared the recipe with me" Brock asks with Delia agreeing as they all continue to eat the TV is playing in the background. Litten looks at the TV it sees something that interests it, the fire cat looks at the TV and speaks.
"Lit, lit" Litten says catching everyone's attention they walk over to the fire cat as Ash speaks.
"What is it Litten?" Ash questions Litten points to the TV everyone looks at it they see 4 People and Pokemon standing on a ring. One person has a Machamp, a girl has a seal that looks like a bigger version of Popplio, a boy has a Pokemon that looks to be a bigger version of Rowlet and they're all facing a man wearing a mask and his Incineroar Ash takes out his Pokedex to scan the two mons.
"Primarina, the Soloist Pokémon a Water/Fairy type and the fully evolved form of Popplio. It controls the balloons that it makes by singing melodies passed down from generation to generation" "Decidueye, the Arrow Quill Pokémon a Grass/Ghost type and the fully evolved form of Rowlet. Decidueye's aim is so good that when it fires its arrow quills, it can hit a pebble over a hundred yards away" The Pokedex says as Misty speaks.
"That's Popplio's evolved form? She looks so pretty" Misty says with hearts in her eyes as Ash speaks.
"Rowlet's final evolved form looks cool too don't you think so Rowlet?" Ash asks the Owl who nods as Litten speaks.
"Lit, lit" Litten says pointing at Incineroar as Ash speaks.
"Does Incineroar interest you Litten?" Ash asks with the fire cat nodding as everyone continues to watch the screen, they see Incineroar battle the 3 mons and easily defeats them with Darkest Lariat as the announcer speaks.
"And there it is folks The Mask Royal along with his Partner Incineroar are still the reigning champions of the Battle Royal!" The announcer says as Ash speaks.
"Battle Royal?" Ash questions as Brock speaks.
"I've heard about them before they're held in the far Alola region" Brock answers with Ash nodding they continue to look at the TV as the announcer speaks.
"If you want a chance to battle the Masked Royal and Incineroar then come to Viridian City as we have a building where you'll face them." The announcer says as the Masked Royal speaks.
"We're excited to see what the trainers of Kanto have to offer see you all soon and Enjoy!" The man says as he and Incineroar do a pose the program ends as Misty speaks.
"What was with that pose at the end? It looked cringy to me" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"I don't know but I kind of liked it" Brock says as he along with Delia do it making Misty embarrassed as Ash speaks.
"Whoa so they're here in Viridian City" Ash says excitedly he looks at Litten and speaks.
"I've our next destination let's go to Viridian City and take part in the Battle Royal" Ash says with his Pokemon cheering in agreement as Misty speaks.
"Why am I not surprised" Misty says with Brock and Delia nodding.
10 minutes later the group along with Delia made it to the building where the battle Royal is being held, they walk over to the receptionist desk as the lady speaks.
"Hello, are you here to take part in the Battle Royal today?" The woman asks as Ash speaks.
"Yep, me and my friends here would like to sign up" Ash says with the woman nodding, she pulls out 3 pieces of paper and speaks.
"Okay please fill out this form stating your name along with the Pokemon you're going to use, and you're only allowed to use 4 Pokemon so make sure to choose wisely" The receptionist says with the group nodding. Ash, Misty and Brock take their paper and begin filling it out after they're done, they hand them back to the receptionist who then stamps numbers on them she hands the forms back and speaks.
"Thank you very much please head to the battle hall where the other trainers are and guests, please head to the audience area" The receptionist says as Delia speaks.
"Good luck everyone we'll be cheering for you" Delia says as she goes to the audience area with Mr. Mime, Pikachu, Togepi, Sobble, Quaxly, Riolu, Froakie, Raichu, Shieldon, and baby Kangaskan going with her while the trainers go to the battle hall. When they make it, they're in a room filled with many trainers as they're waiting, they also see 3 doors with the number 1, 2 and 3 on them they then hear someone speak on the speaker.
"Hello trainers my name is Mike I'm the announcer for the battles today. I bet you're wondering about those doors well the doors are for the 3 separate blocks you'll go through and battle each other until you reach the main battlefield to face the Masked Royal" Mike says with the trainers nodding as he speaks.
"Now on your paper in the top right it tells you which block you're going in once you find it, please pass through the door that shares the same number as the one on the form" Mike says everyone then looks at their paper when they do most of the trainers start going through their doors. Ash, Misty and Brock find their numbers and find out which door they're going through as Brock speaks.
"Looks like I'm going through door number 3" Brock says as Misty speaks.
"I'm going through door number 2" Misty says as Ash speaks.
"And I'm going through door number 1" Ash says the 3 of them then go to their respective doors before they open them Ash speaks.
"I'll see you guys at the main stage" Ash says with Misty and Brock nodding they then go through their doors when they do they see many battle rings as Mike speaks.
"Now that all of the trainers have passed through, I'll explain the rules. There are 3 rounds, each round is in battle royal format 4 trainers battle each other in the ring until there is one winner. Once you make it pass 3 rounds, you'll be able to battle on the main stage and get the chance to battle the masked Royal. The battles will be televised so the audience can watch, and you're only allowed to use one Pokemon for each round" Mike says as Brock speaks.
"So that's why they had us register 4 Pokemon so that we can switch out one that has already battled." Brock says as Mike speaks.
"Now as for the matchups they are randomized please look at the screen and see who you'll be facing" Mike says everyone looks at the screen it spins the trainer's names for a few seconds until it stops when it does everyone sees who they'll be battling against as Mike speaks.
"Now that you've found out who you'll be battling please go to your respective rings where you'll meet your opponents, and each ring also has a ref" Mike says everyone nods they all go to their respective rings and go to their sides when they do the ref speaks.
"This is a battle royal battle all trainers are only allowed to use one Pokemon each the battle is over when there is one Pokemon standing if the trainers are ready, please send out your Pokemon!" The ref calls as everyone in the 3 blocks send out their Pokemon. The opponent's Ash is facing send out a Tangela, Magnemite and Slowpoke Ash grabs a Pokeball and speaks.
"Okay Rockruff I choose you!" Ash says sending in the rock puppy it has an excited look on its face it then looks at its opponents and gets in a battle stance. In block 2 Misty sends out her Popplio and in block 3 Brock sends in Croagunk in the stands Delia speaks.
"Look Ash, Misty and Brock are on screen" Delia says as Ash, Misty's and Brock's Pokemon cheer for their trainers the refs from each ring then speak.
"Now that all trainers have sent out their Pokemon you may now begin!" The ref calls when he does in an instant everyone starts giving out commands and start battling. In Ash's block all three Pokemon go to attack Rockruff Ash isn't worried as he calls for a command.
"Rockruff use Stone Edge!" Ash calls Rockruff barks it stomps its feet on the battlefield summoning the sharp stones they all hit Tangela, Magnemite and Slowpoke and instantly knock them out shocking the 3 trainers as the ref speaks.
"Competitor Ash has completed round 1 and will move on to round 2!" The ref says as Ash along with Rockruff cheer the rock puppy jumps towards Ash with the boy catching him Ash then speaks.
"Great job Rockruff I knew you could do it" Ash says happily with Rockruff smiling. Misty and Brock also won their battles too with Popplio freezing its opponents and Croagunk defeating its opponents with Poison Jab and Brick break allowing for Misty and Brock to go to the next round.
After that round 2 happens Misty easily defeated her opponents with Psyduck, Brock defeated his with Lycanroc and Ash defeated his with Rowlet. They all move to the 3rd and final round where they'll each face their final 3 opponents in their block when all the trainers take their positions the ref calls for the trainers to send out their Pokemon. In Misty's block we see the other 3 trainers send out Tentacruel, Cloyster and Kingler Misty grabs her Pokeball and sends out her Pokemon.
"Go Finizen!" Misty says with the Dolphin appearing out of its Pokeball. We now go over to block 3 with Brock his four opponents have sent out a Rapidash, Machoke and Victreebel Brock grabs a Pokeball and speaks.
"Let's go Klawf!" Brock says sending out the rock crab when it appears it starts to pinch its pinchers together ready to battle. We now go to Block 1 with Ash his opponents have sent out a Nidorino, Persian and Kadabra Ash grabs a Pokeball and throws it.
"Sprigatito I choose you!" Ash says sending in the grass cat who has an excited look on her face. The refs call for the battles to begin we go to Misty's block first as we see the trainers call for their commands Misty speaks.
"Finizen use Aqua Jet to hit all of them then Liquidation!" "Misty calls Finizen covers its body in water it shoots forward hitting all 3 of its opponents. Finizen then turns back around, it covers its fins in water becoming water blades the dolphin slashes all 3 Pokemon and instantly knocks them out the ref then speaks.
"Competitor Misty has defeated all of her opponents she'll be the first to move to the grand stage!" The ref calls Misty cheers along with Finizen. We now go to block 3 with Brock we see Klawf dodge a Razor Leaf from Victreebel when it dodges Machoke appears from its right going to hit it with Dynamic Punch as Brock makes a command.
"Klawf use Iron Defense then Crab hammer!" Brock calls Klawf quickly increases its defense sharply. When Machoke hits Klawf the rock crab barely takes any damage, Klawf then covers its right claw in water and hits Machoke's stomach making it cough in pain as it's sent flying crashing into Rapidash and Victreebel. The 3-mons groan in pain as Brock speaks.
"Now end it with Stone Edge!" Brock calls Klawf slams its arms on the ring summoning the sharp stones they hit the 3 mons and instantly knock them out the ref then speaks.
"Competitor Brock has defeated all of his opponents allowing him to move on to the grand stage!" The ref calls Brock along with Klawf cheer. We now go to Block one with Ash as we see both Nidorino and Kadabra are knocked out. Ash's Sprigatito wasn't the one who defeated them it was the Persian that did only using Night Slash, Persian glares at Sprigatito with the grass cat glaring back as the Persian's trainer (named Maddy) speaks.
"Now that I've taken out the other two your Sprigatito is next Persian Night Slash!" Maddy calls Persian covers its claws in dark energy it shoots towards Sprigatito as Ash makes a command.
"Dodge Sprigatito then use Energy Ball!" Ash calls the grass cat narrowly dodges Persian's attack by jumping to the side. Sprigatito then fires the ball of green energy as it goes to hit Persian Maddy makes a command.
"Persian destroy it with Slash!" Maddy calls Persian looks at the grassy ball and easily slashes it in half when it does Sprigatito appears in front of it as Ash makes a command.
"Now use Seed Bomb!" Ash calls Sprigatito quickly fires a grassy seed from its mouth and hits Persian in the face making it skid back a few feet. Persian groans in pain as Maddy makes a command.
"Persian use Power Gem then Aerial Ace!" Maddy calls Persian quickly fires 4 rock gems at Sprigatito hitting the cat and launching it in the air. Persian then jumps after Sprigatito using Aerial Ace when it reaches the grass cat Persian slaps Sprigatito across the face with its claws knocking Sprigatito back towards the ground as it hits the ring hard Ash then speaks.
"Sprigatito are you okay?!" Ash calls in worry Sprigatito groans in pain but can still battle Ash then speaks.
"Sprigatito above you!" Ash calls Sprigatito looks up and sees Persian falling towards it with its claws out as Maddy speaks.
"Now Night Slash!" "Dodge Sprigatito and when Persian lands use Magical Leaf!" Both trainers call Sprigatito narrowly dodges Persian's attack making it hit the ring instead. Sprigatito then fires the leaf's at Persian as they're about to hit the cat Maddy makes a command.
"Persian use Icy Wind!" Maddy calls surprising Ash as Persian fires a wind of ice that easily freezes the leaf's Persian then starts running towards Sprigatito as Maddy speaks.
"Now Night Slash!" "Dodge Sprigatito!" Both trainers call before Sprigatito can dodge Persian reaches it in an instant it covers its claws in dark energy and smacks Sprigatito making it crash towards Ash's side of the ring landing below his feet as Ash speaks.
"Sprigatito!" Ash calls in worry he then sees the cat struggling to stand up and pant as Maddy speaks.
"Looks like it's over for your Sprigatito Persian use Hyper Beam!" Maddy calls Persian begins to charge up the orange beam as Ash speaks.
"Sprigatito quick get up!" Ash calls the grass cat is trying but can't Maddy smiles and speaks.
"Fire Persian!" Maddy calls Persian fires the orange beam as Ash speaks.
"SPRIGATITO LOOK OUT!" Ash yells in concern Sprigatito sees the orange beam heading towards it the grass cat tries to move but can't. Sprigatito closes its eyes waiting for the Hyper Beam to hit it she then hears a voice.
"Lit!" Litten's voice echoes into Sprigatito's ear she looks over and sees Litten next to Ash as it continues to speak.
"Lit, Lit, Lit, LIT!" Litten's telling Sprigatito not to give up, she's strong and believes she can win. Sprigatito looks at Litten she's happy to hear those words from him, Sprigatito then gets a determined look on her face. She sees that the Hyper Beam's getting closer to her, she doesn't want to lose she wants to win this for her trainer and Litten Sprigatito then roars.
"SPRIG!" Sprigatito lets out a mighty roar as when the Hyper Beam is about to hit her Sprigatito quickly jumps high in the air dodging the attack surprising Maddy and Persian as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, way to go Sprigatito!" "Lit!" Ash and Litten say happily Sprigatito nods, it then lands back on the battlefield and starts to glow a bright white shocking everyone as Ash speaks.
"Sprigatito's evolving!" Ash says happily as everyone sees Sprigatito starting to change. It's now standing upright, gets a bit taller, its arms and legs grow. When the evolution stops what was once a Sprigatito is now a Floragato she opens her eyes and speaks.
"Flora" Floragato says while looking at Persian Ash takes out his Pokedex to scan it.
"Floragato the Grass cat Pokemon a pure grass type. The hardness of Floragato's fur depends on the Pokémon's mood. When Floragato is prepared to battle, its fur becomes pointed and needle sharp." The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.
"Congrats on evolving Floragato!" "Lit!" Ash and Litten say happily as Floragato looks at them and smiles Maddy then speaks.
"Just because it evolved doesn't mean anything Persian use Aerial Ace!" Maddy calls as Persian's about to shoot forward Ash speaks.
"Let's showoff your new power Floragato use Sucker Punch!" Ash calls Floragato nods it disappears then reappears in front of Persian it covers its fist in dark energy and punches Persian in the face making it roll back to Maddy groaning in pain shocking the girl as Ash speaks.
"Okay now Hone Claws!" Ash calls Floragato roars it quickly increases its attack/accuracy as Maddy speaks.
"Persian end it with Night Slash!" Maddy calls Persian shoots forward it covers its claws in dark energy. As it goes to hit Floragato Ash makes a command.
"Florgato use Seed Bomb!" Ash calls Floragato nods it quickly summons a large seed in its right hand and throws it at Persian's stomach. Persian coughs in pain as it's sent flying back towards Maddy landing below her feet knocked out as the ref makes the call.
"Persian is unable to battle Floragato is the winner meaning Ash can advance to the grand stage!" The ref calls as Ash cheers.
"Alright!" "Lit!" "Flora!" Ash along with Litten and Floragato cheer, Floragato runs over to its trainer and Litten as Ash speaks.
"You did it Floragato you were amazing!" Ash says when he goes to hug Floragato the grass cat passes him as she goes to hug Litten instead as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, I should've seen that coming" Ash says as he watches Floragato continue to affectionately hug Litten Mike then speaks.
"And there you have it folks the 3 trainers that'll face the Mask Royal will be Misty, Brock and Ash we'll be taking a 10-minute break make sure to grab all the snacks you can because the final match should be intense!" Mike says with the crowd cheering Ash, Misty and Brock go to their respective locker rooms to rest in the crowd Delia looks at the Pokemon and speaks.
"What do you say we all go grab some snacks" Delia says as the Pokemon cheer happily they get up from their seats and head to the snack bar. As they're walking Delia accidently bumps into someone causing her to fall but the man catches her in time and speaks.
"I'm sorry miss are you okay?" The man asks helping Delia stand up as she speaks.
"Why yes I am thank you I wasn't watching were I was going" Delia says she then looks at the man and sees that it's the Masked Royal as she speaks.
"You're the Masked Royal" Delia says in surprise with the man nodding Delia then takes a closer look at the man and speaks.
"Tell me have I seen you before? I feel as though I know you from somewhere" Delia asks making the man sweat as he speaks.
"Nope we've never met before sorry to cut our time short but I've to go" The man says as he quickly leaves the area Delia watches him leave, she puts a hand on her chin and thinks.
"Hmmmm could it be him?" Delia questions while thinking of someone Togepi then pokes Delia's leg making the woman look at it. Delia looks at Togepi's face and sees that it's saying it's hungry Delia then speaks.
"Oh, that's right I can't forget that we're getting snacks come on" Delia says breaking out of her thoughts as she along with the Pokemon walk to the snack bar we see the Masked Royal in his room panting heavily as he speaks.
"Whew that was close" the Man says.
10 minutes later Delia along with the rest of the audience are back in their seats, everyone looks at the main ring as Mike speaks.
"Hello everyone, the time has finally come for the final match of the day let's first introduce our 3 competitors!" Mike says as he begins to introduce Misty, Brock and Ash.
"In this corner we've the fiery red head who defeats her opponents quickly and is one of the gym leaders of Cerulean City give it up for Misty and her partner Golisopod!" Mike says as the spotlight shines on Misty and Golisopod, everyone sees her along with Golisopod they wave to the crowd while walking to the ring. The crowd gives loud cheers for them so do Sobble, Quaxly and Togepi when Misty and Golisopod reach their spot Golisopod goes inside the ring as Mike speaks.
"Now in this corner we've the man that's as hard as a rock and was the Pewter City gym leader give it up for Brock and his partner Kangaskhan!" Mike says as a spotlight shines on Brock and Kangaskan the crowd see them walk to the ring while waving. The audience gives a loud cheer along with Nacil, Shieldon and the baby Kangaskhan. Brock and Kangaskhan reach the ring Kangaskhan goes inside it Misty and Brock look at each other and smile/nod with their Pokemon doing the same as Mike speaks.
"Now for our final competitor he's won the SS. Anne tournament and is this year's P1 Grand Prix champion let's give it up for Ash and his partner Litten!" Mike says as a spotlight shines on Ash and Litten (Floragato is walking next to them) they wave to the crowd as the audience gives a loud cheer Delia then speaks.
"Go! Ash! And Litty!" "Mime!" "Pika!" "Rai!" "Rio!" "Fro!" Delia cheers along with Mr. Mime, Pikachu, Raichu, Riolu and Froakie they see Ash, Litten and Floragato reach the ring Litten goes inside it. Ash then looks over at Misty and Brock then smiles with the two smiling as well Litten also smiles at Golisopod and Kangaskhan with the two-mons smiling at Litten Mike then speaks.
"And now for the man himself the one who's the king of the ring and is the undefeated champ let's give it up for The Masked Royal and his partner Incineroar!" Mike calls as the final spotlight shines on the man and Incineroar they jump towards the ring do a few spins in the air and land next to it doing a pose causing the crowd to go wild the man grabs a mic and speaks.
"First of all, I would like to say congratulations to Misty, Brock and Ash for making it all the way to the finals to challenge me. Incineroar and I have watched your battles and we're impressed by your battle skills. I hope the 3 of you give us a great battle to remember and Let's Enjoy!" The Mask Royal says as he along with Incineroar do their pose causing the crowd to roar in excitement and do the pose too. Delia along with Mr. Mime, Ash, Misty and Brock's Pokemon also do the pose on the ring Misty speaks.
"There's that cringe pose again" Misty says she then sees Brock, Ash along with Kangaskhan, Litten, Floragato and even Golisopod doing the pose too shocking the girl. Incineroar then walks into the ring the moment it does Litten, Golisopod and Kangaskhan look at it they can feel a lot of power from Incineroar and get into battle stances with Incineroar doing the same as Mike speaks.
"Now the battle for this match is the same as the previous matches whoever is the last one standing will be declared the winner" Mike says with the 4 trainers nodding Ash looks at Litten and speaks.
"Let's do this Litten!" Ash says with the fire cat giving a "Lit!" in agreement Floragato cheers on Litten too everyone then see the ref appear as he speaks.
"All 4 trainers have sent out their Pokemon whoever is the last one standing will be declared the winner if all 4 trainers are ready you may now begin!" The ref calls when he does Misty makes the first move.
"Golisopod use First Impression on Incineroar!" Misty calls Golisopod nods it disappears then reappears in front of Incineroar. Neither the fire tiger nor Masked Royal are fazed as the man speaks.
"Incineroar dodge then use Thunder Punch!" Masked Royal calls Incineroar easily dodges Golisopod's attack by ducking. The fire tiger then electrifies its fist and punches Golisopod in the stomach making the bug samurai cough in pain as it's sent skidding back towards Misty's side Misty then speaks.
"Are you okay Golisopod?!" Misty asks with Golisopod nodding as Mike speaks.
"Misty's Golisopod tried to get to land the first hit but failed now who will be next?!" Mike says as Brock speaks.
"Kangaskhan use Power Up Punch!" Brock calls both of Kangaskhan's fist glow orange it shoots forward going to hit Incineroar as Masked Royal speaks.
"Catch its fist Incineroar!" Masked Royal calls with Incineroar nodding when Kangaskhan goes to punch it Incineroar easily catches both of Kangaskhan's fist shocking it and Brock as Brock speaks.
"Try to push it back Kangaskhan!" "Don't let it Incineroar!" Both trainers call Kangaskhan tries to push the fire tiger back but is unable to Incineroar isn't letting it. As the two mons continue to grapple Litten appears behind Incineroar it has its teeth ready as Ash makes a command.
"Litten use Fire Fang!" Ash calls Litten heats up its mouth as it goes to bite Incineroar Masked Royal makes a command.
"Incineroar use Low Kick on Kangaskhan to trip it then spin around and have Kangaskhan hit Litten!" The man calls Incineroar nods it quickly kicks Kangaskhan's leg making it loosen its grip Incineroar then grabs Kangaskhan's right arm with both of its hands, it then quickly spins around making Kangaskhan hit Litten. Incineroar then let's go of Kangaskhan making it along with Litten hit the ropes of the ring then fall back on the battlefield. Ash and Brock ask if they're okay with the two-mons nodding, they stand back up as Misty makes a command.
"Golisopod use Aqua Jet!" "Dodge Incineroar!" Both trainers call Golisopod covers its body in water it shoots forward going to hit Incineroar but the fire tiger easily dodges by moving to the side. Incineroar gets its right fist ready as the Masked Royal speaks.
"Use Thunder Punch!" "Golisopod Counter with Poison Jab!" Both trainers call Incineroar covers its right fist with electricity while Golisopod covers its right claw with poison the two-mons clash creating an explosion they skid back as Brock makes a command.
"Kangaskhan use Hammer Arm!" Brock calls Kangaskhan appears in front of Incineroar its right arm is glowing white as the Masked Royal speaks.
"Incineroar dodge then slam Kangaskhan on the ring!" Masked Royal calls Incineroar easily dodges Kangaskhan's arm. It then grabs the parent's Pokemon's arm lifts it up then slams it hard on the ring making it land on its back. Kangaskhan groans in pain Incineroar lifts up its fist as Masked Royal speaks.
"Now Brick Break!" Masked Royal calls Incineroar's fist glows white as it goes to chop on Kangaskhan Misty makes a command.
"Golisopod Liquidation!" "Back away incineroar!" Both trainers call Golisopod shoots forward, it summons a water sword and goes to hit Incineroar but misses as Incineroar backs away Ash then makes a command.
"Litten use Fire Fang!" Ash calls Litten appears behind Incineroar it covers its mouth in fire as it goes to bite Incineroar the fire tiger looks at Litten it gets its right claw ready as the Masked Royal speaks.
"Counter with Throat chop!" Masked Royal calls Incineroar's right fist glows purple it turns around and collides with Litten's Fire Fang causing an explosion. Litten is blown back but safely lands on the battlefield it sees Incineroar appear from the smoke going after it as Masked Royal calls for a command.
"Use Mega Punch!" "Litten dodge then use Growl!" Both trainers call when Incineroar goes to hit Litten, Litten quickly jumps in the air dodging the move making Incineroar punch the ring instead. Litten then lands on Incineroar's arm it runs up it and growls in its face causing Incineroar's attack power to decrease the Masked Royal speaks.
"Use Throat Chop on Litten!" "Jump in the air Litten!" Both trainers call when Incineroar goes to strike Litten with its left claw, Litten jumps in the air dodging the move. Incineroar then sees Golisopod and Kangaskhan appear they both have their fist ready as Misty and Brock make a command.
"Golisopod Poison Jab!" "Kangaskhan Power Up Punch!" "Incineroar block!" The 3 trainers call Golisopod covers its left fist in poison and Kangaskhan covers its right fist in a glowing orange. As they go to hit Incineroar the fire tiger quickly brings up its arms and successfully blocks both moves. Incineroar slides back a few feet but stops itself it then sees Litten appear heating up its mouth as Ash makes a command.
"Litten use Flamethrower!" Ash calls before the Masked Royal can give a command Litten fires a big Flamethrower in front of Incineroar consuming the Heel Pokemon. In the stands Ash's Pikachu, Raichu, Riolu and Froakie cheer back on the battlefield Floragato cheers as well. Litten then lands back on the battlefield it stands next to Golisopod and Kangaskhan as Ash speaks.
"Did that work?" Ash questions as the Masked Royal smirks and speaks.
"I'm sorry to tell you but it didn't" The man says as Incineroar swings out its arms breaking out of the Flamethrower it gives a mighty roar creating a shockwave making Litten, Golisopod and Kangaskhan slide back a couple feet as Misty speaks.
"Man, it really is tough" Misty says with Brock and Ash agreeing Incineroar then stops roaring looks at the 3 mons and smiles as the Masked Royal speaks.
"I must say that was a pretty interesting strategy you 3 came up with but you'll need to have a much hotter flame to put down Incineroar" The man says with the Heel Pokemon nodding as the Masked Royal continues to speak.
"Now that the warmup is over it's time for us to get serious" The Masked Royal says with Incineroar nodding as Ash speaks.
"You weren't taking us seriously this entire time?!" Ash asks as the man speaks.
"Nope Incineroar and I were just mainly observing seeing what you can do a trainers job is to always constantly observe and see what advantage they can take didn't your father ever teach you that?" The man says as Ash remembers Red teaching him that lesson as a kid the Masked Royal then speaks.
"Now then it's time for us to get serious Incineroar use Bulk Up and Swords Dance!" The man calls Incineroar roars it bulks up its body increasing its defense and sharply increases its attack power Brock then speaks.
"We'll increase our attack power too Kangaskhan use Work Up!" "Golisopod use Swords Dance!" Brock and Misty call as their Pokemon begin to increase their attack power the Masked Royal makes a command.
"Now Flamethrower!" The man calls Incineroar's belt glows as it fires a big Flamethrower at the 3 mons as their trainers make a command.
"Dodge!" Ash, Misty and Brock call Litten jumps high in the air while Golisopod and Kangaskhan move to the side. When they do Incineroar appears between them Misty and Brock then speak.
"Golisopod Liquidation!" "Kangaskhan use Power Up Punch!" Both trainers call their Pokemon shoot forward going to hit Incineroar the Masked Royal smiles as Ash speaks.
"Misty, Brock wait it's a trap!" Ash says but wasn't fast enough the Masked Royal then makes a command.
"Incineroar use Darkest Lariat!" The man calls both of Incineroar's fist glow in yellow-orange flames it quickly spins and hits Golisopod and Kangaskhan knocking them away making them hit the ropes on the ring. They bounce off the ropes then fall on the battlefield Ash then makes a command.
"Litten use Flamethrower!" Ash calls Litten falls from the sky and fires the stream of fire it consumes Incineroar as the Masked Royal speaks.
"Your flames are still too weak Incineroar grab Litten and use Throat chop!" The man calls Incineroar's right hand bursts out of the flames and grabs Litten. Litten tries its best to break free but can't Incineroar covers its left hand in purple energy and jabs Litten in the stomach making Litten cough in pain Litten is then sent crashing into the ropes of the ring then falls on the ground groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Litten!" "Flora!" Ash and Floragato call in worry they look at Litten and see that it stands back up it looks at Incineroar and begins to pant the Masked Royal smiles and speaks.
"It's got guts but that won't help it win this battle Incineroar finish it off with Mega Punch!" The man calls Incineroar shoots forward its fist glows as it goes to hit Litten Brock makes a command.
"Kangaskhan use Hydro Pump!" Brock calls Kangaskhan quickly fires the big stream of water it goes to hit Incineroar as the Masked Royal speaks.
"Incineroar destroy it with Thunder Punch!" The man calls Incineroar covers its left fist in electricity and punches the Hydro Pump easily destroying it. Golisopod then appears behind Incineroar it has its claws ready as Misty gives a command.
"Golisopod use Rock Smash!" "Incineroar dodge then use Mega Kick!" Both trainers call Golisopod covers both of its claws in red energy as it goes to hit the Heel Pokemon Incineroar backs away a couple feet dodging the move. Incineroar shoots forward, it points both of its feet forward and kicks Golisopod in the stomach making the bug samurai cough as it's sent crashing into the ropes on the ring and fall on the ground. Incineroar then leaps high into the air it rolls towards Kangaskhan as Brock makes a command.
"Kangaskhan use Hydro Pump!" "Incineroar cut through it with Brick Break!" Both trainers call Kangaskhan fires the big stream of water as it goes to hit Incineroar. The Heel Pokemon stops rolling it lifts up its right hand covers it in white energy and begins to easily chop through the Hydro Pump" Incineroar keeps going until its fist hits Kangaskhan on the head making it fall face first on the ground knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Kangaskhan is unable to battle Incineroar is the winner!" The ref calls as the crowd roars in excitement in the stands the baby Kangaskhan is sad that her mother lost with Shieldon and Nacil sad too. Brock then returns Kangaskhan he looks at the ball and speaks.
"Thank you Kangaskhan take a good rest" Brock says he puts the ball back on his belt he then looks at Ash and Misty then speaks.
"It's up to you guys now" Brock says with the two kids nodding as Misty makes a command.
"Golisopod use Aqua Jet and Liquidation!" Misty calls Golisopod roars, it covers its body in water then shoots forward it summons two water swords and begins to spin heading towards Incineroar as the Mask Royal speaks.
"Interesting move but that won't stop us Incineroar dodge then use Thunder Punch!" The Masked Royal calls Incineroar quickly moves to the left dodging Golisopod's attack but one of its water swords did graze it. Incineroar then covers its fist in electricity, it jumps forward and punches Golisopod in the stomach. Golisopod is then sent soaring back towards Misty's side of the ring, it hits the pole then falls down laying on its stomach knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Golisopod is unable to battle Incineroar's the winner!" The ref calls as the crowd gives a loud cheer. In the stands Misty's Sobble, Quaxly and Togepi are sad that Misty lost with the others feeling the same. Back on the battlefield Misty returns Golisopod to its Pokeball telling it thank you she puts it back in her pocket then looks at Ash and speaks.
"You're the last one left Ash you better win" Misty says with Ash nodding he looks at Litten and speaks.
"We're the last ones standing Litten Let's Go!" Ash says as Litten lets out a mighty roar it stares at Incineroar with the heel Pokemon staring back Mike then speaks.
"This is it everyone the final battle can Ash and Litten defeat Incineroar?!" Mike asks as Ash speaks.
"Of course, we can" Ash says having a determined look on his face with Litten having that same look the Masked Royal looks at Ash and speaks.
"Tell me why do you continue battling? you should know that there's no way for your Litten to defeat my Incineroar you should give up" The Masked Royal asks as Ash speaks.
"You know you're not the first person to tell me to give up during my journey my Pokemon and I have faced many obstacles most of the time we won while other times we've lost. The reason why I continue to battle is because my Pokemon and I love to push ourselves to the limit. We may be at a disadvantage, but we'll keep going until we Defeat You!" Ash states with Litten roaring in agreement Floragato, Rockruff, Rowlet (who came out of their Pokeball's) along with Pikachu, Raichu, Riolu and Froakie roar in agreement too. Misty, Brock along with Delia and Mr. Mime also agree with Ash's feelings the Masked Royal looks at Ash and begins to think.
"He's truly just like his father" The man says to himself while smiling he then speaks.
"Okay then show me more of your power Incineroar Flamethrower!" The man calls Incineroar roars and fires a big stream of fire at Litten as Ash makes a command.
"Jump in the air to dodge Litten!" Ash calls Litten quickly jumps in the air dodging the stream of fire. When it does Incineroar appears in front of it and has its right fist ready as Masked Royal speaks.
"Incineroar use Fire Punch!" "Litten Fire Fang!" Both trainers call Incineroar covers its right fist in fire while Litten covers its mouth in fire. The two mons collide and begin pushing each other back but incineroar wins the exchange by knocking Litten back on the ring. Litten groans in pain as Ash speaks.
"Litten above you!" Ash calls Litten looks up in the air it sees Incineroar covering its body in fire as the Masked Royal makes a command.
"Use Heat Crash!" "Litten dodge use Nasty Plot then Flamethrower!" Both trainers call Incineroar covers its body in fire it falls towards Litten. As it's about to hit it Litten quickly dodges at last second making Incineroar hit the ring instead, Litten then roars it sharply increases its attack power as it's about to fire the Flamethrower Incineroar shoots forward going to grab Litten as Ash speaks.
"Now Litten!" Ash calls Litten roars it shoots out a big Flamethrower consuming Incineroar as The Masked Royal speaks.
"Incineroar break out of there!" The Masked Royal calls as Incineroar goes to break out of the move Ash makes a command.
"LItten Overheat!" Ash calls "What?!" The Masked Royal says in shock Litten continues to roar its body begins to heat up more as its Flamethrower becomes bigger turning into a Overheat Ash then speaks.
"Yeah, keep going Litten!" Ash cheers along with his Pokemon with Litten nodding as it keeps firing the move the Masked Royal speaks.
"Incineroar Darkest Lariat!" The man calls Incineroar roars it spins and easily destroys the Overheat shocking Litten along with Ash as the Masked Royal speaks.
"Now grab Litten!" "Litten quick dodge!" Both trainers call before Litten can dodge Incineroar quickly grabs Litten with its left hand and holds on to him tightly. Litten tries to break free but can't the Masked Royal then speaks.
"You along with your Pokemon have done well but it's over for you" The Masked Royal says as Ash speaks.
"No, it's not over" Ash responds as the Masked Royal speaks.
"And why's that?" The man asks as Ash speaks.
"Because Litten can still battle it will not go down it will defeat Incineroar!" Ash states with Litten roaring in agreement as The Masked Royal speaks.
"I like your determination but you've to know when to call it quits Incineroar finish off Litten with Throat Chop!" The man calls Incineroar nods it covers its right hand in purple energy it goes to hit Litten as Ash speaks.
"Come on LItten I know you're not done yet USE YOUR POWER AND BREAK OUT OF THERE!" "FLORA!" "ARF!" "ROW!" "PIKA!" "RAI!" "RIO!" "FRO!" Ash along with his Pokemon cheer on Litten wanting it to break free. Litten sees the Throat Chop heading towards it Litten tries to get out, but can't Litten then remembers Ash's other fire types. It remembers training with them and knows that if they were in its position right now they wouldn't give up especially Charizard. Litten doesn't want to give up, it wants to keep fighting growing stronger Litten's body begins to heat up more as it lets out a mighty roar.
"LIT! TEN!" LItten roars its body is consumed in fire as Incineroar goes to hit Litten the fire cat breaks out of Incineroar's hand shocking the Heel Pokemon along with the Mask Royal. Everyone then see Litten it does a few spins in the air then comes landing back down on the ring as it's body begins to change. Litten grows a foot and 4 inches taller, there's also a bell like organ around its neck, its claws become sharper and gains two black rings on its front and back legs. When the evolution stops what was once a Litten is now a Torracat it has a serious look on its face and roars.
"TORRA!" Torracat lets out a loud roar creating a big shockwave which pushes Incineroar back a couple inches Mike then speaks.
"I don't believe my eyes after hearing the words of its trainer Litten evolved into a Torracat!" Mike says as the crowd is left speechless Ash takes out his Pokedex to scan the mon.
"Torracat, the Fire Cat Pokémon. A Fire type, and the evolved form of Litten. When Torracat spits fire, the fiery bell at its throat makes a high-pitched ringing sound." The Pokedex says Torracat then looks at Ash and smiles with Ash smiling too as he speaks.
"Okay Torracat let's showoff your new power!" Ash says with Torracat roaring in agreement as the Masked Royal speaks.
"Incineroar get ready!" The man says with the Heel Pokemon nodding it looks at Torracat as Ash makes a command.
"Let's try out your new move use Flame Charge!" Ash calls Torracat roars it covers its body in fire and instantly shoots forward hitting Incineroar in the stomach making the Heel Pokemon skid back a couple of feet. Torracat then lands back on the ring it feels its speed increase as the Masked Royal speaks.
"It's gotten faster" The man says he then smiles and speaks.
"Okay Incineroar let's go!" The man says with Incineroar roaring in agreement as he calls for his next command.
"Incineroar use Mega Punch!" The Masked Royal calls Incineroar jumps forward its fist glows as it's about to hit Torracat Ash makes a command.
"Torracat dodge then use Flame Charge!" Ash calls Torracat quickly backs away letting Incineroar punch the ring instead, Torracat then heats up its body and shoots forward hitting incineroar across the face as the Masked Royal calls for a command.
"Incineroar use Dark Pulse!" The man calls Incineroar opens its mouth and fires the dark energy beam hitting Torracat in the back. Torracat is then sent flying into the ropes of the ring Ash then gets an idea and speaks.
"Torracat use Flame Charge and bounce off the ropes!" Ash calls Torracat nods it heats up its body then bounces off the ropes. It heads towards Incineroar and hits it in the face again doing some damage to it Ash smiles and speaks.
"Okay Torracat keep doing that!" Ash calls Torracat nods it lands on another rope then bounces off of it using Flame Charge and hits Incineroar again the process keeps repeating itself over and over again as Ash cheers.
"Yeah, keep going Torracat!" Ash cheers along with his Pokemon as even some of the people in the crowd are chanting Torracat's name Misty then speaks.
"Ash might actually win if he keeps this up" Misty says with Brock agreeing as they begin to cheer for Torracat too. The Masked Royal has a shocked expression on his face he then smiles and speaks.
"Now this is a battle" The man says as he calls for his next command.
"Incineroar use Darkest Lariat!" The man calls Incineroar quickly spins and collides with Torracat knocking it away making it stop using Flame Charge. Torracat then lands back on the ground and begins to pant Incineroar looks at Torracat it pants but only a little bit as Ash makes a command.
"We're almost there Torracat Use Flame Charge Again!" Ash calls Torracat roars as it jumps high in the air and charges at Incineroar the Masked Royal then speaks.
"Incineroar Throat Chop!" The man calls Incineroar lets out a mighty roar it covers its left claw in purple energy it jumps forward and collides with Torracat. When the two mons collide, they try pushing each other back and forth creating a strong wind Ash then speaks.
"GOOOO! TORRACAT!" Ash yells along with his other Pokemon Torracat roars too and tries to push Incineroar back as The Masked Royal speaks.
"END THIS INCINEROAR!" The Masked Royal yells with Incineroar giving a mighty roar it destroys Torracat's Flame Charge and jabs it in the stomach. Torracat coughs in pain as it's then sent crashing back down on the battlefield landing below Ash's feet. Incineroar lands back on the battlefield everyone looks at Torracat they see it trying to stand up, but it ultimately stays down the ref then speaks.
"Torracat is unable to battle the winner is the Masked Royal and his partner Incineroar!" The ref calls as both The Masked Royal and Incineroar let out a cheer in victory with the crowd doing the same. Delia looks at the Pokemon they're sad that Torracat lost but she then speaks.
"Even though Torracat lost it put up a great fight" Delia says with the Pokemon agreeing back on the battlefield Ash picks up Torracat when he does the fire cat looks at Ash saying it's sorry that it lost as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Torracat you did your best besides this was a great experience for you and you evolved so I'm satisfied" Ash says while smiling Torracat then looks at Floragato, Rockruff and Rowlet who also have smiles on their faces making Torracat smile too. They then see the Masked Royal and Incineroar walk to them when they get close enough the man speaks.
"That was a great battle you gave us young man It's been a while since someone's pushed us that hard" The man says with Incineroar nodding as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, we enjoyed it too, but this loss won't keep us down we'll keep training and one day we'll have our revenge against you" Ash says with Torracat nodding the man and Incineroar smile as the man speaks.
"We'll keep training too and when that day comes our battle will be more intense than it was today" The man says with Ash nodding after that they shake hands as the crowd clap for them. 10 minutes later there's also an awarding ceremony with the Masked Royal receiving a belt after that he along with Ash, Misty, Brock Delia and their Pokemon take a picture doing the Enjoy pose with Misty doing it too (She's also blushing in embarrassment). After that the gang leave the building and head home back to Pallet Town as Ash speaks.
"Man, that was a fun day even though I lost I feel as though I've gotten stronger" Ash says with the others nodding as Misty speaks.
"Well, you did have two Pokemon evolve" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"And you've also gained more experience too" Brock says Ash nods at both of them and speaks.
"You guys are right, and it makes me even more motivated to train for the league!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Raichu, Riolu and Froakie as Misty speaks.
"You know I kind of wonder what the Masked Royal looks like under the mask" Misty says with Ash and Brock nodding as Delia speaks.
"I feel as though I've an idea" Delia says as Ash looks at her.
"Really mom you know what he looks like without the mask?!" Ash asks as Delia speaks.
"Well not exactly he just reminded me of someone that's another student of your father is all" Delia responds with Ash nodding as she speaks.
"Now let's hurry home I'm going to make an amazing dinner for us" Delia says making everyone happy they keep walking until they reach Pallet Town and head inside the house to have dinner. We now come back to the building where the battle Royal took place, we see the Masked Royal along with Incineroar they're currently in a locker room. While the Masked Royal is changing clothes the man looks at the Heel Pokemon and speaks.
"Even though it hasn't been 1 year since he's started his journey Master Red's son has gotten strong don't you agree Incineroar?" The man asks with Incineroar nodding as the man speaks.
"I look forward to when he becomes much stronger because when he does, we'll give him a much more intense battle than today and use our Z Move" The man says with the Heel Pokemon agreeing the Masked Royal then takes off his masks and reveals that he's Kukui he has a smile on his face and speaks.
"Come on let's head back home to Alola I'm excited to see what kind of dinner Burnet made for us" Kukui says with Incineroar nodding Kukui then returns the Heel Pokemon and heads out of the building.
3 days later Ash continues to train for the league after his battle in the Battle Royal it has given Ash along with his Pokemon more motivation to train. Torracat and Floragato have become much stronger after evolving and made the training between Ash's Pokemon more intense. Currently Ash is back at Oak's lab training all of his Pokemon he watches them battle each other we go to the fire types where we see Charizard and Torracat collide with Fire Punch and Flame Charge creating an explosion. Charizard and Torracat back away from each other when they do Arcanine, Pyroar, Blaze, Crocalor and Charcadet appear. The 5 fire types heat up their mouths with Charizard and Torracat doing the same they all fire their own Flamethrowers and collide in the middle creating a big explosion. We then see Riolu training with Primeape, Hawlucha, Farfetch'd and Heracross. Riolu goes to strike Hawlucha with Force Palm but Hawlucha counters with Brick Break making the two-mons skid back. Riolu then senses Primeape and Farfetch'd going to hit it and dodges their attacks making the two mons collide instead. Riolu then fires an Aura Sphere at them Primeape and Farfetch'd notice then jump away. Hawlucha then flies towards Heracross using Aerial Ace while Heracross counters with Horn Attack the two mons collide creating an explosion.
Froakie is training with Ash's water types we see it jump out of the water and fire a Bubblebeam at Wartortle and Palpitoad. The two-mons dodge Palpitoad then fires a Mud Shot at Froakie making the frog dodge in the air. Wartortle then appears and goes to hit Froakie with Rapid spin but Froakie counters with cut and collides with Wartortle. Totodile then fires a Hydro Pump at Palpitoad with the toad dodging. Totodile and Palpitoad jump towards each other going to use Rock Smash and Aqua Tail respectively, but they notice Kingler falling towards them using Liquidation. Totodile and Palpitoad quickly back away as Kingler slashes the ground instead. Aqua then appears using Raging Bull it goes to hit Kingler with the move but Kingler counters with Crab Hammer the two mons collide creating an explosion. We then see Venusaur, Grovyle, Thwackey, Floragato and Rowlet training with each other. Rowlet flies at Floragato using Aerial Ace while Floragato counters with Seed bomb, Rowlet dodges the move and continues heading towards Floragato making the grass cat block. Rowlet then pushes Floragato back a few feet, but Floragato stops itself as it charges at Rowlet with the Owl charging at the cat. Grovyle and Thwackey are both locked in a grapple, they're trying to see who's physically stronger between the two. As they continue to grapple Venusaur then fires a Razor Leaf at them forcing the two mons to break away from each other and go battle Venusaur. We then see Noivern, Flygon, Gabite, Tyrunt and Dratini training with each other Noivern fires a dragon pulse at Gabite but the cave Pokemon dodges. The dragon pulse heads for Flygon but the goggled mon blocks with Dragon Claw. Tyrunt then runs towards Dratini it goes to bite it with Crunch, but Dratini dodges she covers her tail in steel energy and hits Tyrunt across the face with Iron Tail making it skid back a few feet.
Next, we see Gyarados training with Pidgeot, Clefable and Hitmonlee, Gyarados fires a big Hydro Pump while Clefable counters with a Moonblast the two moves collide creating an explosion. Pidgeot flies at Hitmonlee using Brave Bird while Hitmonlee counters with Blaze Kick the two mons collide and skid back. We then see Scyther, Bisharp, Tinkaton, Corviknight and Krookodile training with each other. Scyther and Bisharp collide using Slash and Metal Claw the two mons then back away when they see Tinkaton fall from the sky going to hit them with her hammer. Tinkaton slams her hammer on the ground creating a crater. Krookodile goes to bite Corviknight with Fire Fang but the steel bird dodges and flies at Krookodile using Steel Wing. Krookodile looks at Corviknight and counters with Dragon Claw creating an explosion. We then see Pikachu, Raichu, Luxio, Gengar and Rockruff training together.
"Pikachu fires a Thunderbolt at Rockruff but the rock puppy easily destroys it with Crunch. Rockruff is about to fire a stone edge, but it then notices Gengar using Psychic. Rockruff quickly backs away as Gengar's Psychic is countered by Raichu's Psychic the two-mons fight to see who's the better psychic user until the two moves cancel each other out. Raichu and Gengar fly in the air to continue their battle as we see Pikachu and Luxio collide with each other using Wild Charge and create an explosion. We then see more of Ash's Pokemon training together continuing to improve themselves as Ash is watching Misty and Brock walk next to him Misty looks at Ash and speaks.
"Hey Ash, I know you along with your Pokemon are excited for the league, but don't you think you should take a break?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"A break?" Ash questions as Brock speaks.
"I agree with Misty you along with your Pokemon have been training nonstop for the past 3 weeks if you don't take a break, you guys will be too worn out when the league starts" Brock says with Misty agreeing as Ash speaks.
"You guys are right do you have any suggestions?" Ash asks as Misty speaks.
"I'm happy you asked Prof. Oak gave us this flyer that says it's a Pokemon resort where our Pokemon can rest and recharge themselves Misty says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Cool that sounds like fun and will be the perfect place for my Pokemon to relax" Ash says with Misty and Brock nodding Ash then looks at his Pokemon and speaks.
"Hey guys stop training and come over here!" Ash says his Pokemon look at him, they stop what they're doing and head over to Ash when they make it Ash looks at them and speaks.
"During these past 3 weeks you guys have been training hard for the league and I thank you for that, but I think it's time we take a break from training and let our muscles relax" Ash says with his Pokemon agreeing as he continues to speak.
"This flyer here has a place where Pokemon can relax who wants to come?" Ash asks his Pokemon begin to discuss among each other after a few seconds Pikachu, Gyarados, Venusaur, Wartortle, Charizard and Dratini step forward wanting to go with Ash, Ash looks at them and speaks.
"Alright I'll take you 6 with me" Ash says making the 6-mons happy Riolu and Froakie then walk up to Ash and speak.
"Rio, Rio" "Fro, Fro" The two mons say telling Ash they want to come too Ash bends down he looks at them and speaks.
"I know but I'm only allowed to carry 6 Pokemon at a time" Ash says making the two-mons sad as Oak speaks.
"Actually, Ash, you should take them with you" The old man says shocking Ash as he speaks.
"Are you sure Professor?" Ash asks as the old man speaks.
"Yes, I'm sure Riolu and Froakie hatched from their eggs only 3 weeks ago it makes since that they would want to stay close to you" The old man responds as Ash speaks.
"But isn't it illegal for me to carry 8 Pokemon? I've mostly carried 7 and yesterday was the first time I had 8 Pokemon" Ash asks as Oak speaks.
"Yes, usually it is illegal, but you've proven to be a capable trainer on your journey Ash, so I think it's fine to bend the rules a little bit. And if anyone asks why you're carrying 8 Pokemon tell them to call me." Oak responds smiling making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Whoa thanks Professor" Ash says happily with the old man nodding Ash then looks at Riolu and Froakie and speaks.
"Looks like you two get to come along after all" Ash says happily making the two-mons excited they jump on Ash giving him a hug making the boy laugh. After that Ash returns Charizard, Gyarados, Dratini, Venusaur and Wartortle to their Pokeball's. Riolu and Froakie stay out of their Pokeball's Riolu goes on Ash's right shoulder while Froakie sits on top of Ash's hat and Pikachu goes on Ash's left shoulder. Ash then looks at his other Pokemon and speaks.
"Okay guys I hope you all relax because when I come back; we'll train nonstop for the league!" Ash cheers as his other Pokemon cheer too they all then disperse throughout the ranch going to their own areas to relax Ash then looks at Oak and speaks.
"I should've asked this before, but will the ranch be okay without Venusaur? I know that he's become the ambassador" Ash asks as Oak speaks.
"Yes, the ranch will be fine Venusaur has made Clefable, Hitmonlee, Pidgeot, Noctowl, Corviknight and Tauros co ambassador's they'll be able to handle any disputes between the Pokemon" Oak responds with Ash nodding. After that Ash, Misty and Brock leave the lab they are now at the Ketchum residents saying goodbye to Delia and Mr. Mime Delia then speaks.
"Make sure to take care of yourselves out there" Delia says with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"We'll be back soon mom see ya" Ash says as he along with Misty and Brock walk away from the house waving goodbye with Delia and Mr. Mime waving goodbye too as the chapter ends.
Thank you for reading if you've made it this far. A lot of things happened in this chapter more of Ash's Pokemon evolved, Alexa returned, and the Masked Royal made his appearance. Tell me how did you guys think I handled evolutions in this chapter. I know that a lot of them felt sudden, but I felt it made sense to evolve them here as I couldn't think of where to evolve them next in the story.
