Chapter 1.2: split sisters
Coco was angry. Usually her anger was quiet, and disjointed from her usually joyous and friendly demeanour; but today's events had pushed that demeanour to its limits. Having to drag maya all the way back from the deep part of the forest, mymy teasing her all the way back to the house and the scuffle that had broken out between the both of them has pushed her to the brink, judging by the fact that she had an iron grip around mymys ear. She marched up to her room, mymy in hand, and set her down just gently enough for it not to be considered violent. Coco hated that.
"I can't believe you! Saying those things to poor maya. And after she fell, too? How could you do that to her?!"
Mymy was still reeling from being dragged up the stairs by her ear, but she still understood what coco was going on about.
"ME?! Wha- didn't you hear what she said about my-
Coco cut her off as sharp as a whip. "Of course I heard! That's what made you go crazy! Look, why can't you both just get along? You two have been at it constantly with each other, and I am sick of it!"
"Well maybe if she did anything I would like her more! She stays in her room, and never comes out, and even If she does, there's no "hello" from her, no "how are you doing", no nothing!
"She's going through alot right now! You need to be more understanding of her, because you make things worse every time you speak to her!"
"When is she ever not going through something?! It's just an act! At least I know that! But you play into it all the time! Trust me, when I take over, things are gonna be alot different..."
Coco found it difficult to say things when she was angry. Her blood boiled with anger as she heard mymy spout nonsense about when she would take over, and how maya would be vilified by her "new world order". By the time that she was done with her ridiculous ranting, the sun was already setting.
"Just..go..mymy..I'll deal with you in the morning..."
"And maya too, remember..." She snarkily commented as she left Coco's room, shutting the door behind her. Coco heard her frantic footsteps behind the door. She was probably legging it to her room to avoid her wrath once more. The washed-out yellows and oranges of the sun's rays painted coco's room with a melancholy atmosphere. She had a lot to reflect on after everything had been said and done. It was difficult to keep her sisters at even an uneasy peace with each other. It had been like that for so long. She couldn't even remember when they were happy with each other. There was one memory, however, hazy and dreamlike, that she could somewhat remember taking place. She was reminded of those wild and happy moments where they used to play together, not having to worry about growing up and who liked who. Back when maya was not afraid of everything, and mymy still had black hair. There was some comfort knowing that in some ways, that version of maya and mymy was still there, tucked away after years and years of bickering and sadness. She wished that they could be like that once more, and peace would come again someday. She somberly approached her window, reminiscing of happier times as the sun slowly fell from the horizon and her room faded back into darkness.
