Tom Riddle was sitting with his second-in-command, his LOVE, discussing the next raid on the Light and how to take them down a peg or two.
Abraxas Malfoy, sitting beside Tom Riddle, the Dark Lord, his LOVE, watched the Death Eaters talking amongst themselves.
Abraxas squinted his eyes, looking for someone he thought he had seen. Letting it go, he stood up and walked to someone in the room.
"Abraxas, what is your name?"
The Death Eater replied, "My name is James, sire."
Abraxas continued, "What are you doing here, James?"
James responded, "Sire, I'm confused. Isn't this a meeting for Death Eaters?"
Abraxas nodded, "Yes, it is, but you don't seem to belong here. Come with me. James, do you have the Dark Mark?"
James shook his head, "No, sire, I don't. My father doesn't want me to until I graduate."
Abraxas inquired further, "Your father, James, who is he?"
James blinked, "Um, why, sire?"
"Are you here alone?" Abraxas asked.
James answered, "I am, sire. Sorry, he sent me in his place."
Abraxas observed, "You are no older than my son. Come with me."
The Death Eaters parted to let him through the crowd.
Abraxas brought James to his son, Lucius.
Lucius asked, "Who is this?"
James looked nervous. "His name is James Potter, mother," Lucius remarked, looking at Abraxas.
James looked ashamed.
Abraxas continued, "And your father, James, sent you here in his place, am I right?"
James nodded, "Yes, sire."
"Abraxas, who is your father, James?"
"Sire, his name is Fleamont Potter."
Abraxas blinked. "We have a Potter in our ranks?"
Abraxas turned to Tom. "Do we have a Potter in our ranks?"
"I believe so. Why?"
"Abraxas, summon him, please."
"Tom, send the summons through the Dark Mark."
Fleamont Potter appeared. "My Lord, you have called for me."
Abraxas stepped forward. "You are Potter, correct? James' father, Fleamont?"
"Yes, sire, I am."
"Why is James here alone, then?"
"Sorry, sire, I sent him in my place."
"Don't do it again."
"Yes, sire."
Abraxas turned to James. "You may stay or go home."
"Sir, may I stay, please?"
"Yes, you may."
