"Remind me again why you brought your daughter along?" Poppy asks as she looks at Alexis.
"Because she's just as sneaky as you are in getting her way." Gru says as Alexis smiles.
"Fair enough. Oh there it is. The castle. I can't believe I'm really here." Poppy says excitedly as the group sees the school castle.
"Sure is big." Alexis says.
"It's even more impressive inside. At least from what I've heard." Poppy says as the group lands their hot air balloon.
"Let's just get this over with. Ron hand me my gear. Okay keep a close eye on him. If you need anything I brought formula and extra diapers. And Alexis you are staying behind." Gru says as he and Poppy begin I leave the balloon while the minions watch the baby.
"Oh absolutely not. I can still tell mom about this and will do just that if I can't tag along the entire ride." Alexis says as she shifts to wolf form.
"Ugh. Teenagers." Gru says annoyedly.
"Come on. Let's go. Let's go." Poppy says as Alexis jumps down beside her as they land by the window.
"Now we cut through the glass with my- Diapers!? What? Guys where is the other bag. With my gear?" Gru asks as he finds his bag is the baby's stuff before the minions come over with the baby.
"If I had to take a guess I'd say floating away with our ride home." Alexis says as the group sees their hot air balloon floating away.
"Oops." One of the minions says.
"Alright let's see what I got in here. Ah-ha! Easy peasy." Gru says as he uses a diaper pin to cut through the glass and make a hole with some bottle lids.
"Nice job dad." Alexis says.
"Your old man has still got it. Just a bit out for practice is all." Gru says as the group goes through the hole and makes their way down to the floor while narrowly avoiding the janitor Mr. Friendly.
"That's Dr. Destructo! He was just a kid. And there's Killer Driller's original helmet." Poppy says excitedly as the group passed by some objects.
"You really like this place huh?" Alexis asks as she looks at Poppy.
"It's only like my dream school." Poppy says as Alexis shifts to human form.
"I can tell. You got good taste I'll admit." Alexis says as she smiles.
"Thanks." Poppy says as she smiles at Alexis.
"Come on. Stay focused." Gru says before the minions use a diaper to cover a camera as the group makes their way to a locked door.
"It's locked." Alexis says as Gru tries to pull the door open.
"I need something to open it." Gru says.
"How about this?" Poppy asks as she pulls out a hair pin.
"Nice." Gru says as Poppy unlocks the door.
"Yes! We're in!" Poppy says excitedly as she tries to step forward before Alexis stops her from walking forward.
"Wait. Dad do we have any baby powder?" Alexis asks as one of the minions hands her baby powder.
"Baby powder? What for?" Poppy asks as Alexis pours some powder in her hand and blows it forward revealing lasers.
"That's what for." Alexis says.
"Nice." Poppy says as she smiles at Alexis earning a smile from her.
"Nice job sweetie. Mom taught you well in understanding that part of any case is being aware of potential danger." Gru says before the minions begin freaking out.
"Baby!" The minions shout as the group sees Gru Jr. making his way up onto the desk and begins playing with a statue causing the lasers to go on and off.
"Aww. He's having fun." Poppy says.
"Yeah too much fun. Please Junior. Daddy needs to steal a honey badger." Gru says before the baby looks at him and turns off the lasers.
"Nice job little brother." Alexis says as she puts Gru Jr. on the floor.
"Okay I know they keep Lenny the honey badger here at night. And if memory serves there is a hidden switch around here somewhere. Yes!" Gru says as he pulls a switch and a cage lowers with a sleeping honey badger inside.
"Huh. He's actually kinda cute like that." Alexis says as she looks at the honey badger.
"Yeah trust me he may look cute but he doesn't act cute. I'll hit him with this. Once he's knocked out well open the cage and that fuzzy demon will sleep like a-" Gru then gets cut off as the baby opens the cage before Lenny jumps out and begins attacking and chasing everyone as Gru accidentally puts his legs to sleep with the tranquilizer shot.
"Oh no! I've ruined our heist!" Poppy shouts in alarm as she accidentally sets off an alarm trying to get away from Lenny.
"Junior!" Alexis says in alarm as the group sees Lenny go toward the baby only for the baby to stop him by feeding him baby puree from a squeeze bottle and see the baby giggle and hug Lenny as he eats the puree.
"Aww." Poppy and Alexis say in union seeing the sight.
"Come on! We have to go!" Gru says as he turns off the alarms as the group begins making a run for it with Lenny before seeing the principal and her guards at the end of a hallway.
"Intruders! You messed with the wrong principal!" The principal shouts as the group runs through a doorway with her chasing the group. As the group is running Poppy then runs toward a construction spot at the end of the hallway.
"Poppy watch out!" Alexis shouts as she grabs Poppy and pulls her back up.
"You... You saved my life." Poppy says in surprise as she looks at the drop she nearly took.
"Just call it favor returned for protecting me from that boy. Run!" Alexis says as the group keeps running before Gru uses some diaper cream to cause the principal to go over the drop and get caught with her chair on the wall.
"How are we getting out of here?" Poppy asks as the group runs outside.
"Follow me." Gru says as the group gets in a nearby chariot like contraption before it begins flying as they use it to get away.
*Timeskip*
"I have to say that was without a doubt the coolest night of my life. I can't believe we actually pulled that off." Poppy says as she smiles as the group is back outside the treehouse.
"Not gonna lie that was pretty fun." Gru says as Poppy hands him the baby.
"It was fun. Thanks for bringing me along dad." Alexis says as one of the minions hands Lenny to Poppy.
"Thanks Ron. And thanks Gru for everything. And hey don't worry. Your secret is safe with me." Poppy says as she smiles at Gru.
"Come on Junior let's get you to bed." Gru says as he begins to leave with the baby and the minions.
"Oh and Rose?" Poppy asks as Alexis looks at her.
"It's Alexis actually." Alexis says shyly.
"I kinda figured it wasn't Rose since Gru was hiding his true name. But I like Alexis a lot better though. It suits you. Anyway don't worry about us being even. I honestly had a fun time tonight and thanks for saving me back there." Poppy says a she smiles at Alexis causing her to blush.
"Me too and no worries." Alexis says as Poppy chuckles at her.
"Come on Alexis." Gru says as Alexis looks back at him.
"Goodnight." Poppy says as she looks at Alexis.
"Goodnight Poppy." Alexis says as she heads inside with Gru.
