Ch 109 Captive by the Enemy

Helena remained calm as the two Team Magma Grunts and Tabitha, one of Team Magma's Admin led her to Maxie.

Having the chance to know where she was, and also a possible chance to find an escape. "Whatever you're thinking, Professor Potter. You can't escape our Base that easily." Helena looks at the large Man leading the way,

"Every Hall is guarded by Grunts and their Pokemon," Tabitha informed Helena, lowering her chances of escape. "Any chances of escape are next to zero." The Admin informed the young Professor.

The black-haired Woman sighs before asking the large Man on what he wants. "What do you want from me then?" Helena asked Tabitha as they approached a door, unlike the other doors.

This door was the same dark grey color, however at the center was, of course, the Team Magma Logo. Tabitha turns around, smiling at Helena. "I'm not the one who you should be asking, Professor. They'll be answered by our Leader," He said, reaching out and opening the door.

Helena looked forward as the two Grunts escorting her stood by the door. Her eyes caught someone sitting at a desk with a Tea set ready for the conversation Tabitha mentioned.

The Man has red hair that goes into a small mullet and a Key Stone on his square glasses. He wore a Team Magma overcoat with a black sweater underneath.

"Professor Potter, I'm pleased to introduce you to the Leader of Team Magma, the great Maxwell Matsubusa." Tabitha introduced the young Professor to their Leader.

His stern face gazed upward, noticing the arrival of their Prisoner. "Professor Potter, it's been a while." Maxie greeted Helena, recognizing her from the Masquerade Ball at the Stone Mansion. "Please, take a seat."

Helena calmly walks over to the chair right before the red-haired Man. She looks to the side where one of the Grunts present in the room goes over and pours the tea.

"This is an herbal infusion tea, it's good for your Body and Soul as well," Maxie said, offering Helena a drink.

The young Professor remains hesitant, not trusting anything they give her.

Maxie gave a small chuckle, looking up at the young Professor. "Worry not, there's nothing within the Tea. As you can see, I'm drinking the Tea with no complications." The red-haired Man took another sip from his cup, showing Helena that there was nothing lace on her cup.

Helena stared at her Tea before taking it and took a small sip. After sipping, she looks down at her cup before asking the Leader of Team Magma something. "So, what do you hope to get out of me by offering me Tea?" She asked,

She's been in this situation before with Team Plasma countless times during her time in the Unova Region. It didn't really fazed her that much,

"We're not Barbarians, Professor. We do have dignity when treating our Prisoners," The red-haired Man said, placing down his cup. "In any case, Professor Potter the reason I've asked my Subordinates to bring you to me is that we require your assistance."

"You'd expect me to help you after kidnapping me?" Helena gave a light chuckle, already deciding not to give anything to them. "I will not help you."

"How dare you deny Leader Maxie you wel-" The Grunt stopped, seeing one, Tabitha glaring at him and two Maxie raising his hand at him.

Maxie lowered his hand once his Grunt fell silent, his eyes gazed at Helena. "Do forgive my Subordinate's outburst." The red-haired Man apologizes for his Subordinate's outburst. "Regardless of the outburst, I'm afraid you have no other choice besides helping us, Professor." He stated, his tone a bit threatening.

Helena raised a brow at the Leader of Team Magma, unfazed by what he said.

Maxie closed his eyes before opening them. He reached for his cup, about to take a sip. "You are quite brave and strange Professor, however, that bravery may be admirable. However, it can be foolish at times such as this." The red-haired Man said, sipping his Tea.

"What do you mean by that?" Helena asked, not liking the feeling she was having.

Maxie interlocked his fingers, giving Helena a cold stare. "Seems like you don't care what we would do to you, Professor." The Leader of Team Magma said, "However, can that be said about your Newborn Sons?" He asked the black-haired Woman.

Helena's eyes widen, realizing what he meant. "No, you wouldn't harm Children. Especially Infants who were just Born the other Day!?" She asked defensively, not wanting any harm to befall her Sons.

Unbeknownst to the two, Tabitha was also surprised by what Maxie suggested. "L-Leader Maxie…" The Large Man said,

"Professor Potter, as a Mother you would do anything to protect your Children," Maxie said giving Helena no choice but to lend her help to them. "As such, you don't have a choice but to aid Team Magma with our goals." He stated,

Helena frowns, gripping her fist at the drastic measures to ensure their goals are successful. Ghetsis and Team Plasma were completely different from what Maxie and Team Magma are.

Having no choice but to accept, Helena replied to protect her Sons. "What do you need?" She asked hesitantly.

Mossdeep City

Steven got dressed in his suit for the Pokemon League and Champion duties. Adam, Wallace, Roxanne, Flannery, and Jackie left to search for Helena in their areas. Anthea and Concordia returned to the Potter Laboratory telling the rest of the Family of the situation and protecting the Pokemon living there.

The Hoenn Champion stood above his Sons' playpen, seeing them playing with Sylveon and Hattrem,

"Gardevoir," Gardevoir approached Steven, standing with Helena's other Pokemon. All were looking at him for what to do.

The Steel-blue haired Champion smiles, looking at his Fiancée's Pokemon. "Gardevoir, everyone I'm counting on you to protect both Aiden and Casey." He said, trusting Helena's Pokemon to protect their Sons.

Every Pokemon agreed, promising to protect the Boys.

Gardevoir, however, wanted to do more than that. She approaches the Hoenn Champion, expressing her worries. "Gardevoir, Gardevoir, Gard…" She said to the Steel-blue haired,

"Hmm? What is it Gardevoir?" Steven looks at Gardevoir, even though he can't understand her like Helena or N. He understands that she wants to go with him to search for Helena.

"I believe that Gardevoir wants to accompany you, Steven." N stood by the doorway, about to leave to search for his Sister. "It's best to bring her, she and Helena have a strong Bond." The former King of Team Plasma suggested,

Steven looks at N, understanding what the green-haired trainer means. "Gardevoirs are known to be able to feel where their Partners are. Even if they were captured, she can still sense where Helena is." He turns to Gardevoir, wanting to be sure of her.

The Embrace Pokemon looks at her Partner's betrothed, "Gardevoir, are you certain that you want to come with me to find Heleena?" Steven asked Gardevoir,

"Gardevoir, Gard," Gardevoir nodded, determined to help and find her Partner.

"Alright," Steven said, being handed Gardevoir's Pokeball by her. She placed it into his hands. Indicating that she trusts him with everything like Helena does. "You trust me, Gardevoir with this?" He asked, looking at the Duel-type.

Gardevoir nodded, replying to his question. "Gardevoir,"

"She says she trusts you to do what's right and she'll lend you a hand in the search," N said, understanding what Gardevoir wants.

Steven nodded, taking out one of his own Pokeballs. He released one of his Pokemon onto the floor.

Carracosta was released, standing before the Hoenn Champion. "Carracosta,"

"Carracosta, I need you to help protect the House and the Twins," Steven said, entrusting his Pokemon to protect his Family.

The Water/Rock-type Pokemon nodded, taking up the task he was given. "Carracosta," Carracosta responded, standing with Helena's other Pokemon.

The Hoenn Champion looks at Gardevoir, who is ready to depart. Steven held her Pokeball, calling back Helena's Partner. "Gardevoir, return." He called out to the Duel-type.

A red beam heads straight for the Embrace Pokemon, returning to her Pokeball.

A few minutes later, Steven stood at the door with N, standing behind them were Lydia and Joseph. Both Grandparent held one of the Boys in their arms,

Aiden and Casey stare at their Father, both Infants are whimpering. Their little hands reached out for Steven since they couldn't find their Mother anywhere. "S-Steven, Aiden, and Casey wanted to see you," Lydia said, ushering her Son to calm his Sons.

Steven approached his Sons, reaching his hand to Casey who grabbed one of his fingers. "Hmmm," Casey whimpers alongside his Older Brother.

"Mmmm," Aiden also reached out to his Father, wanting his attention.

"Don't worry you two," Steven said, caressing Casey's cheeks before moving to his Brother, gently touching them. "I'll find your Mother and bring her back." He promised his Sons, not to stop until he found her.

Joseph looks at his Son with worry, giving him some parting words. "Steven, Son, be sure to be careful and…come back safe with Helena in tow." The President of the Devon Corporation said, wishing him luck in the Mission.

"Thanks, Father," Steven said before kissing the foreheads of both Aiden and Casey. "Be good you two," He said softly to his Sons before leaving the House with N beside him.

The two walked down the path, heading outside of the grounds. N looks at his Future Brother-in-Law, seeing if he has any plans so far. "So, Steven, I assume we're heading to meet with Team Aqua?" N asked, "If so, how can we find their Hideout?"

Steven smirks, turning to the former King of Team Plasma. "Not quite, we're making a quick stop at the Devon Corporation for a quick moment." The Champion of Hoenn said,

"Huh?" N raised a brow at his Future Brother-in-Law, still unsure what Steven was actually planning.

Team Magma Hideout

Helena was taken to the Laboratory within the Hideout. It was a typical Laboratory with the necessities for a Laboratory to have,

There were Team Magma Scientists around, doing Research on whatever they were researching.

The black-haired Professor stood before the Red Orb, something she was familiar with. She held a Rotom Tablet, checking the Notes the Team Magma had taken on the Orb.

"Well? Did you find anything useful yet?" Helena groans, turning her head behind her.

Standing on guard was the same Man who kidnapped her here. Next to him were two Poocheyenas and his Ditto on guard. "Maybe if someone doesn't distract me and ask at every Fifteen minutes then I will get the results you want," Helena said, turning back to her work.

Helena gave a long sigh, checking the Data that was updated a few seconds ago.

The Laboratory door opened, and everyone (minus Helena) turned their heads to the door. They all saluted at the Person entering the Lab, "Leader Maxie, welcome." A few of the Scientists greeted their Leader.

Maxie walked in, his eyes looking around the work his Researchers were doing. His eyes then shift to their Prisoner, seeing her not paying any mind to him.

"Leader Maxie, Professor Potter isn't saluting you-" Courtney paused, seeing the red-haired Man raising his hand at her.

"Professor Potter may be cooperating with us, however, she made it clear that she's doing this for her Children," Maxie said, respecting Helena's choices. "All that matters is that she's doing what she's supposed to do." The Leader of Team Magma walks forward as Courtney follows him.

Helena frowns, sensing that Maxie is approaching behind her. "Professor Potter," The black-haired Woman turns to Maxie, hearing him calling her Name. "Have you made progress with the Research before you?"

Helena gave her captor a blank expression, "Not surprising that you managed to get the Red Orb. It was all over the Hoenn news," She commented, turning around to the Orb. "Everything here, it seems you're following my Research of Pokemon Ancient Forms."

"Then you're already aware of what we're after, Professor," Maxie said, not needing to say anything else.

"Yes, and let me tell you; this is crazy," Helena said, not wanting to show what she found to him. However, she has to protect her Family from Team Magma. "In any case, you have advanced my Research on this topic further than my Team could do. (Considering that your focus is on Groudon…)." She turns around, showing the Red Orb to Maxie.

Maxie and the others looked at Helena as she explained what she found. "Much like a Mega Stone, I theorized a while back that the two Orbs of Mt. Pyre are connected to the two Legendary Pokemon or both Land and Sea," Helena explains, pulling up the Research she did just now with the Team Magma Scientist. "With the Research you have, I was able to conclude that the two Orbs; in this case, the Red Orb acts similarly to a Mega Stone meant for the Continent Pokemon: Groudon." She regrettably said, knowing this would spell trouble.

"So Groudon can Mega Evolve then?" Brodie asked, following the Professor's Lecture.

"It's not as simple as that," Helena corrected the purple-haired Ability User. "The Red Orb doesn't work like normal Mega Stones. In fact, the power within is something more…Ancient, some more Primal." She elaborated on what she meant.

Maxie held his chin, following the Lecture Helena was doing. "In short what the Red Orb process within is in fact Groudon's original Power." The red-haired Man said,

"Yes, the Red Orb much like a Mega Stone can return Groudon's original power. A Phenomenon I called Primal Reversion." Helena informed her Captors of her completed Research.

Maxie nodded, satisfied by the result Helena had procured. "Very insightful, Professor. No wonder you're the leading Researcher for Ancient Pokemon." The red-haired Man said, appreciating what he heard.

Turning around to Courtney, giving her the next orders. "Get the Submarine, Courtney. We've got the information we've been looking for-"

"Hold on," Helena turned around, stopping the Leader of Team Magma and his Admin. "Waking Groudon might cause a chain reaction of events that won't be good for Hoenn-"

"We've run the calculations and done multiple simulations. This plan for the Land to expand will succeed and with the Red Orb being able to reawaken Groudon's Ancient Power will do just that." Maxie said, turning to look at the young Professor. "You should rejoice, Professor. Your Research and you're actions have paved the way for Humanity to expand." The Leader of Team Magma said, showing Helena his appreciation,

"But awakening Groudon will cause a major environmental change. It won't be good for the Pokemon nor Humans when that happens-"

"Professor Potter, try as you may. But you won't change our minds." Maxie said, walking out to his Office to prepare for departure. "Make sure she doesn't try anything, Brodie. We've been generous to you, Professor. Don't test our limits," He walks out of the Laboratory with Courtney.

Brodie stood at the doorway, guarding it with his Pokemon by his side.

Helena glared at Maxie, already leaving the Laboratory. "(He's dooming us all…)" She said, turning around and returning to her work. Her eyes looked at everyone, seeing they were busy with their own thing. 'I have to figure out how to stop this before they awaken Groudon.' She said to herself, not giving up on preventing Groudon's awakening.

Rustboro City

In the Devon Corporation, Steven exchanged one Pokemon for the one he found in the Desert Resort.

The Steel-blue haired Champion looks down at the Ultra Ball in his hand, "Please…lend me your power to find my Fiancée." Steven asked the Pokemon within the Pokeball.

N waited outside of Devon Corporation's Daycare for Pokemon. The Daycare here was like the Daycare at the Trainer School with some differences,

For one instance unlike the Daycare, the Devon Corporation created a small Biome Area for the Pokemon. Including a specialized Area for the Fossil Pokemon, they've revived and currently researching.

The door that Steven entered opened as the Champion of the Hoenn Region stepped out. "Got whoever you need, Steven?" N asked his Future Brother-in-Law.

"Yes, the Pokemon I've retrieved will help us out in finding Helena," Steven said, having faith that his new Pokemon would be helpful.

N's eyes went over to the Ultra Ball hidden behind his other Pokeball. He could hear the Pokemon within, "I can hear his thoughts," He smiled, hearing that the Pokemon trusted Steven with his power. "He trusts you, Steven."

"Right, you can hear what Pokemon are saying. That's what you're Ability is." Steven said, remembering what his Fiancée said.

"In any case, where do you supposedly suggest we should look for Team Aqua's Base?" The green-haired trainer asked,

Steven and N walked down the Hall as he told his Future Brother-in-Law his plan. "The Pokemon League's Agents have been keeping tabs on both Team Magma and Aqua." He said as they exited the Devon Corporation. "Unfortunately we haven't the slightest clue where Team Magma's Base is. However, that's not the case for Team Aqua."

N raised a brow at Steven, questioning his sentence. "So you have found where Team Aqua's Hideout is but not Team Magma?" The former King of Team Plasma chuckles, finding that funny.

"I know what you're going to say, and can it." Steven retorted, knowing what N would say about this. "But Team Magma is one step ahead of us thanks to Courtney's Future Sight Ability. Tracking them down isn't easy than it seems." He commented,

"So, where's Team Aqua hiding out anyways?" N said, moving forward with the conversation. "Need to remind you that Helena is somewhere with People who will use her to threaten the very World itself." He said, getting anxious and worried.

The Steel-blue haired Man looks at the Ability User, "I get it, but rushing into things isn't good." Steven said, looking down at the cement. "I know that first hand, for now, we need to focus on what lead we have so far." He said, pushing his guilt behind him.

N nodded, as he listened to Steven on where Team Aqua was lurking. "Care to tell me where we're heading?"

"I'm getting to that, N," Steven said, taking out his Rotom Phone to call someone. "We're heading to a small Town down in the Southern part of the Region. A Town called Pacifidlog Town." He said, calling someone to take them to the Town where they needed to go.
