DISCORD: /ZUgnSWnJdG
The group had been walking for a fair while now, traveling to the next circle, which Pandemonica said was the next river of Hell as well; Styx. A marshy river that drowns the wrathful souls. This is where Minos said he belonged, giving Jaune a feeling of anxiety in his soul. He was also afraid of what he may find there. But before arriving there, they had to set up camp as the night was closing in, taking shelter in a rough cavern in the rock, with Pandemonica placing the enchantment to keep the Ghouls out for the night.
Then, they lit up a fire and all of them went to sleep around it, laying down the hides of beasts. Jaune, like last time, found it hard to sleep, but waking up was no issue. Why? Because he found himself with Modeus on top of him. Seriously, this girl was very hands-on with him, likely seeking something to be in contact with while she slept, and he just happened to be the nearest body pillow she could grab onto.
Thankfully this time she wasn't clinging that badly to him so he simply pushed her to the side gently and got up. His stomach growled, which reminded him that he hasn't eaten anything since he first arrived in the demon world. This being the case, and realizing that he now was in a similar situation to his one back at home where he was surrounded by many sisters he had to cook for, Jaune decided to cook. He remembered that Malina packed some food for the road as well, so he went over to her.
"Hey, Malina? Do you have anything I can cook for the group?" He asked her, and the sour demoness replied with a sleepy voice.
"Check my backpack … Leave me alone to sleep now." She replied, and Jaune went to her backpack. True enough, he found some stuff, but weird stuff. He found the equivalent of eggs and bacon, but the eggs were yellow with black dots on them, and when he took out the pan and put it over the fire, which he had to light up again, he also noticed it was different on the inside as well.
The egg white was, well, not white. It was black while the inner yolk was blood red. On top of this, the 'bacon' was blue colored. This really made the boy hesitate to cook them since he had no idea what they were made of but considering that everything else he could eat would most likely be the same, and the fact that he was growing weaker and weaker from not eating for so long didn't help, so he took the chance and cooked them anyway.
Granted, the sound of sizzling eggs and bacon slowly woke up the girls.
"Oi, what is cooking?" The voice made him turn to see Malina, now fully awake, looking at him. "Are you making something to eat?"
"Yeah, I thought I might as well since you brought some food along, and accepted to be in my Harem and all that." Jaune said, working on the eggs and 'bacon'. He had no idea what he was cooking at the moment, but he assumed it was the hellish equivalent of them. No harm in asking. "Hey, Malina, mind telling me what is up with the eggs and bacon? They don't look like this in the human realm."
The demoness raised her gaze a bit, looking at him with her usual irritated mood. Or could it also be from waking up on the wrong side of the bed? "Why? Never had Azure Salamander eggs and meat before?"
At this, the Arc stopped moving the food in the pan around. "Azure Salamander? Uhm. Mind explaining what an Azure Salamander is?"
The demoness let out a long sigh.
"Fine. You see, Azure Salamanders are common livestock here in Hell. They are nasty blue lizards that are usually big, the size of a human." She got up more, placing herself in a sitting position. "Their eggs and meat are good. Granted, harvesting them is not too pleasant."
"Why's that?" Jaune asked, but he soon regretted it.
"Because those things have quite the poisonous saliva, that's why." She dryly replied, making Jaune gulp. The size of a human, poisonous, and a lizard. And he was going to be eating that? "Now can you pass me my backpack? My liver is burning."
"S-sure." Jaune replied, reaching for the backpack and giving it to her, seeing her immediately take out a bottle. "Just how much does she even drink? How come she hasn't had liver failure yet?"
Best not to tell her to just stop. He had an experience with one of his sisters regarding not telling a girl to stop something. It always ended badly for him.
The girl sighed as she put the bottle down. Then she eyed the Arc. "I hope there are a lot of games where we are going. And drinks."
"I cannot guarantee the drinks, but the games I can offer." Jaune said, looking at the eggs and bacon, even though they were produced by a lizard, he took in the smell. It smelled pretty normal to him. He finished the first plate, placing it in front of Malina who just looked at it dryly.
"Have a good meal." He offered, then went to make the rest for the girls.
Malina simply looked down at her plate, seeing the dark-crimson yolk and the bacon on the side, she took a fork and poked it a bit. It was well cooked, she had to admit. She cut a piece with her fork and put it in her mouth, sharp teeth visible for just a second before she closed them around it.
It was good. Very good.
When she cooks she always ends up either burning the food or undercooking it, ending up ordering something, drinking, and playing games. It was a pleasant feeling to have something good for a change.
"You're a good cook." She said, before continuing to eat her breakfast.
The Arc let out a small chuckle hearing the demoness praise him. Well, if the way to a man's heart was through the stomach, who says it is not the same for a woman as well? "Thanks. You gotta learn how to cook from young days at my house, especially when living with 7 sisters-"
He stopped when he heard Malina cough, going away from the pan to pat her on the back.
"7 sisters?!" She asked in shock. "Is your father some insatiable freak for making your mother carry so many brats? I can barely stand one sister!"
Jaune did not know how to reply to that and simply shrugged. "I guess they wanted a big family?"
"Or they couldn't keep it in their pants well enough."
Deciding not to try and argue, Jaune returned to his pan, listening to the sound of frying eggs. "I was also the only boy, so … yeah, it was rough."
"I can imagine. Siblings can be such a pain, I swear." Malina said, taking a swig of Vodka and then continuing with her breakfast.
"Yeah. But at the end of the day, you still love them. They are your family, after all. Your kin and blood." Jaune said, keeping his back to Malina. He didn't notice how her expression seemed to have softened hearing him say that, but she recovered quickly and kept eating.
"Something is smelling good." Modeus said as she woke up as well, followed by Cerberus. "Cooking? You are more and more of a catch."
Modeus was trying to tease him again.
Jaune by this point knew how to make her leave him alone. "Should I make yours heart-shaped, Modeus? They would definitely look good with your pretty eyes."
Malina actually spat some of her Vodka hearing that, Cerberus giggling behind the now blushing lustful demon.
"M-my eyes?! What kind of kink is that you degenerate?" She said aloud, trying to compose herself. Malina snorted as she caught on to what Jaune did.
"Clever move, Arc. Clever move."
"Thank you."
"At least you are self-sufficient," Pandemonica replied as she and Justice also got up, slowly walking to the fire and sitting down, Jaune handing them some plates and putting their food in them as well. Pandemonica was disappointed that there was no coffee to be had with the food, but they had to take what they could. Luckily, they were getting close to Dis, where her apartment was.
Breakfast was finished swiftly, and everyone prepared to depart. However, Jaune did notice how Malina seemed to pull out a bucket of ice for her drink from her backpack. As it turns out, that backpack was enchanted with magic, making it fit more items inside. Nifty.
At least now, he can cross off eating lizard meat from his bucket list, same with the eggs. They were not bad, per se, but still wished he had a bit of ketchup to go with them. Actually, maybe he shouldn't, who knows what the equivalent of that is down here?
With the Circle of Greed slowly fading behind them, the group was slowly arriving at the next circle: Wrath.
"Pandemonica, where is the next girl we're looking for?" Jaune was wondering how far they would need to travel this time.
"Close. She should be somewhere on this side of the Styx River's shore." Pandemonica replied
"Oh, I smell smoke!" The first head of Cerberus said.
"I smell vodka!" The second head said.
"That means she's nearby!" The third head said.
"Oh no … " Malina said, dreading the one ahead. "I know who this is."
"Who?" Jaune asked, but the demon girl seemed pretty upset about it. However, she still replied.
"My sister, Zdrada. She is a big pain that loves to smoke all the time and hates me and my games." The sour demon stated. "I guess I should've expected this since the next circle is where she works."
"How ARE the wrathful punished, exactly, again?" Jaune asked, feeling a sense of strange curiosity wash over him. Maybe it was because of the anxiety of knowing this was his place as well, but all in all, he was also curious.
"They are thrown in the Styx and allowed to rip each other's faces off." Malina answered. "That is if they snapped at least once in their lives. If not, they become Sullen and are trapped at the bottom of the Styx to drown for all eternity."
Jaune gulped.
"My sister likes this place because no one yells at her about her smoking and other tendencies." Malina stated. "I included. If we end up taking her back, at least promise me you won't let her smoke anywhere near me. And that we won't be sharing a room."
"Pretty sure I would ask her to not smoke inside, period. As for the rooms, that can be arranged." The boy replied, and Malina seemed somewhat satisfied with that answer, but at the same time, her mood didn't improve that much.
"Believe me, one week with her, and you will be taking the knife out of my hand to off yourself" Malina stated. "Or off her. Or better yet, you could off me so I won't have to deal with her anymore."
"Is that really necessary? I mean, just how bad is she, really?"
"You are about to learn." Justice said. "We've arrived."
Jaune turned around, seeing the Styx, and immediately, his breathing hitched. This was his place, if Minos was to be believed, where he'd suffer. His eyes went over all of the souls inside the river, seeing them wrestle and fight in the marshy waters; scratching, punching, biting, choking - you name it. They were their own punishers, controlled by the wrath that damned them in life. But he was called a sullen.
He slowly went to the edge of Styx, looking down and seeing the souls below, trying to shout something, but the waters drowned them. This was HIS fate. He felt himself dizzy seeing them, overwhelmed by the sight which had him back down, trying not to pass out.
"What is wrong with him?" Malina asked. "He looks like he saw a ghost."
"This is his place." Justice replied, a bit more serious than usual for once. "When he met Minos, the judge told him where he would belong when he died if nothing was done. Jaune here is a sullen, full of unsaid wrath for his father."
"Really? Damn … Imagine seeing your final resting place before dying, that is one thing, but this is his entire eternity." Malina said, but then she caught something else in Justice's speech. "Wait, you mean to say he is no longer going to land here?"
"Hard to say." Pandemonica said, knowing Jaune was a bit far from them, and currently, Modeus and Cerberus went over to make sure he was alright. "After seeing Hell first-hand, he might change. Whether or not it is enough, that is for fate to decide."
"So, the big guy … Fuck." Malina finished, chugging down some vodka one last time before the group joined Jaune. "You ok, blondie?"
"I will be fine … I just need a second."
However, as Jaune slowly stood, Cerberus perked up, sniffing the air.
"It smells funny here!" They said in unison. "It smells like angels!"
"Angels?" Jaune said, trying to confirm if he heard that right. Angels in Hell? Maybe it was a recently fallen one? Did they still fall even today? The Arc looked around as the entire group got themselves prepared for a fight more than anything. It seems demons and angels didn't really get along with one another.
But he didn't expect the angel to show itself so easily. The angel in question walked over the terrain behind them. She did notice them, and skipped towards them, looking awfully excited for some reason.
The holy being before Jaune was the opposite of the demon girls. She had slightly darker skin with black hair and blue eyes, wearing a white, almost militaristic short sleeved dress shirt. She had yellow lining on her collar, sleeves, gloves, and down the middle of her shirt. A square cross with leaves protruding from under it was on her neck and the string of the necklace went under the collar of her shirt. Her attire finished itself with a pair of pants held by a belt with white boots with straps on the top.
"Finally, I managed to find some actual demons!" The angel girl said, bringing out a small notebook. "Excuse me, but can you spare a few moments?"
"Ummm. Hi?" Jaune replied, getting her attention.
"Ohhh! A male demon- Wait … " Suddenly, she stopped and took a better look at Jaune. After confirming it by poking him, she perked up again.
"Oh my Heavens, what is a human doing down here? More so, why are you in the company of so many demons as well? Are you studying as well? What subject? Demonology, Modern Sin, Laws of Hell?" She asked in quick succession, holding out a notebook with a pen in her other hand. "Please do not leave any details out!"
"Ummm. What?" It was official, Jaune no longer knew what was going on. He expected many things entering Hell, including being eaten by some three-headed hound - which ironically proved to be 3 nice girls with a bubbly yet sinister attitude; to be burned to a crisp, dissolved with acid, or who knows what the devil has down here.
But never, in his life, would he have guessed that he'd stumble upon an angel down here! An angel!? Out of all things he could've found deep in the depths of Hell, he had stumbled upon an angel. What were the chances? The girls were all curious as well behind him but made no attempt to talk to her. Most likely because they were demon girls and she was an angel girl. "Are you alright-"
"How are you even down here?" The girl said again, then she closed the distance between herself and Jaune, starting to examine him from head to toe. "From what I can see you are not deceased or anything, and you don't feel like another damned spirit here. This is top-notch material! I've never heard about humans - LIVING humans walking through Hell! What is your purpose down here? Why do you have a sword? Are you a knight of sorts? Why are you traveling with so many demon girls? Are they your concubines?"
"She is not wrong with that last question." Modeus remarked, but she was shushed by Malina.
"Oh, by the Cherubs, I cannot believe what I am seeing! Are you gathering a Harem? Surely you are not that crazy, right? I mean, don't get me wrong, the girls you have here are all lovely, but demons are generally superior to humans in physical attributes and the fornication would result in your pelvis being-"
"Ok!" Jaune shouted, cutting off the angel as she rambled. "To answer your questions: I inherited my deceased relative's contract, which is why I am here, and the sword is a family heirloom that I recently discovered that was given extra powers by the same demoness who got me here - and yes, this is a harem, that is what my contract is making me gather!"
He answered as many questions as he could. The angel girl was listening closely, even though he was speaking quite fast, and managed to write everything down.
"You are quite the diligent one, aren't you?" Pandemonica asked, looking at the angel girl, then she took note of her age and uniform. "I assume you are enrolled in Heaven's main academy?"
"Yes!" She answered while doing a military salute. "My name is Azazel, a student in Heaven's main academy located in the 9th Heavenly Sphere! I want to study hard to get a good position to serve our Lord, which is also why I am here; to study!"
"Angels can enter Hell just like that?" Jaune asked, looking back at the other girls.
"Of course not! Her being here violates some laws and can get her in trouble!" Malina replied. "What were you even thinking coming down to Hell knowing that?"
Jaune was concerned as Azazel froze. Her eyes looked into the void as her skin grew pale. "Uhm. Azazel-"
"OH, MY LORD! WHAT HAVE I DONE?!" And then the angel girl began to panic, running around in circles and muttering to herself. "I was so determined to further my studies that I completely forgot about the laws, then I entered Hell like an idiot! Oh no, I can get cast down for this!"
If Jaune knew a girl when she panicked, it'll be now. Living with 7 sisters certainly allowed him to understand girls well enough to live well next to one, or a few, but seeing Azazel panic here made the Arc reconsider some things. Such as his vision of Heaven. But that was not important. "Azazel, calm down, please. I am sure there is something we can do about it-"
"There isn't!" She shouted, continuing her panic. "Once Michael gets word of this I will have my halo taken from me! Angels are not allowed inside of Hell unless it is to conduct business with the demon population, and even then I am just a student! I don't have any authorization to be here! What do I do, what do I do?"
"Pandemonica?" Jaune turned to her, hoping she might have some answers.
"Heaven's laws are pretty strict, making them hard to abuse or find loopholes; however, there is something we can use to save her from being cast down." The tired demon stated, then she turned to Jaune. "I will need to know you are with us on this."
"Why wouldn't I be?" The Arc asked, confused about what she meant.
"You see, there is a clause that states that every angel, regardless of rank, official or not, has the right to become a human's guardian angel. Once they do, they are to remain by the human's side all their life to guide them on a path towards God." Pandemonica stated. "It is stated that the said angel has to follow this human anywhere they go while keeping hidden."
"Oh! I read about that! We angels usually rely on magic to become invisible or alter our size to more easily stand by our chosen human!" Azazel replied, then she caught on to what Pandemonica was suggesting. "Wait, you are suggesting that I become, umm…"
"Jaune. Jaune Arc." The blonde said, giving his name.
"That I become Jaune's guardian angel?" She finished, to which Pandemonica nodded.
"Yes." the tired demon answered. "The method behind the guardian angel contract is usually indirect, the link is done by an archangel usually, but since Jaune is here and is aware of the existence of Heaven and Hell, you can fulfill the pact now."
"Great!" Azazel cheered.
"So how do we do this? Do I sign a paper, shake hands, or-" The Arc was interrupted when Azazel caught his face with her hands, pulling his head down to put a kiss on his forehead. He didn't see that coming, but the Arc was not going to argue if this is how the pact is made. Azazel let go of his head, allowing the Arc to recover. "That easy?"
"Yup!" Azazel said, then her halo glowed a bit as another one appeared above Jaune's head before vanishing. "It seems I was in luck as well since you didn't have a guardian angel already"
"I wonder why … " He sighed. Maybe having overprotective parents made Heaven think he doesn't need a guardian angel? Well, he does now. "I guess this means she is joining the Harem as well."
"Oh! What is done in a Harem? Do we just play games? Talk? Simply live together? Eat together? Bathe together-" The angel's words made Modeus perk up at hearing that part. "-what are the usual activities of a Harem?"
Jaune blushed a bit hearing her, asking himself how this girl didn't know what happens in a Harem but knows the term and basic concept of it. It was pretty interesting and awkward to think about.
"I just hope she doesn't get traumatized when she learns." The Arc thought, not being able to imagine how this curious girl, this pure angel, would react to the lifestyle of a Harem.
A style he didn't know either but had a feeling he would in a matter of time.
"In a Harem, you share one man with multiple girls, regardless of activity." Modeus answered. "That includes sharing him for the horizontal no-pants dance."
"Or the vertical one." Justice added.
"Oh? Is this some special dance in Hell? Something the humans do? Can you do it at an angle of 180 degrees? Why are you not wearing pants during this dance? Is it ceremonial?" And just like that, Azazel began her questioning.
"Feels like being interrogated, not gonna lie."
Azazel then turned to him. "What do you mean by that?"
"Oh, fuck me! She can read my thoughts as well!"
Back in the human realm, the Arc household was quiet. Not long ago they had breakfast, and not long ago they had a talk with Jaune, his father, Nicholas Arc, was thinking about his decision. He was not a blind man, he knew that his son was really wishing for this life, but he knew it was not the right one for him.
His uncle gave everything for it, including the chance to have a family. He vanished one day and never came back, Crocea Mors being found at his house. The Arc patriarch was trying to convince himself that he made the right choice, but he was aware that he cannot stop Jaune forever. One day, he will grow up, become an adult, and leave. When that happens he will seek training and pursue the Huntsman life anyway. Or worse, pursue another, less respectable career.
Nicholas shook his head at the thought. "No. Jaune will not end up like that. He is a good boy, and I know my son. He won't ever dare commit such sins."
Oh, if only he knew where his son was now.
Once everything with Azazel was set, the group resumed their way on the road. However, no matter how long they searched on the shores of Styx, Malina could not see her sister anywhere. On one side, it was a relief to her, and on another, an annoyance. "Where the fuck is she?! Ugh! When you don't want her around she sticks like a stinkin' fly, but when you look for her she vanishes into thin air! That bitch is not even here and she is already getting on my nerves."
"Calm down, Malina, I am certain she is near." Jaune said, trying to keep the gamer of the group from getting too angry. "Anyone got any ideas where she might be?"
"I just got here, so I know nothing!" Azazel still looked around.
"Sorry, dude, but I don't see her anywhere either." Justice smirked.
"No luck." Modeus replied.
"We cannot even smell her!" One of Cerberus' bodies sniffed the air. "We sense a smell, yes, it is hers, but it's weak."
"That means she WAS here before, so she couldn't be that far, right?" Jaune asked as the group looked around. However, that was when Azazel peered over a rock.
"I found something!" She shouted, getting the attention of the rest of the group, who went to her and peeked past the rock, finding a bunch of clothing thrown around in a lazy and messy manner.
"Those are Zdrada's clothes." Malina remarked, picking up the pants from the pile, only for a pair of black panties to fall from them. A G-string no less, which had the boy blush a bit seeing such daring underwear. "Definitely hers."
"But why are her clothes here and not her-"
"Hey!" Suddenly, the group turned around to see the demoness in question. Although, for Jaune, turning around came with more than simply finding her. She was naked. As in, completely naked! Not even covering herself, but displaying herself in full glory! Like the others, she was a short woman with pale skin, red irises, a black arrow-tipped tail, and silvery-white hair, which was short and covered her left eye, two black horns, and … Holy shit.
Piercings. She had piercings on her mouth, ears, and nose. But he also saw one in her belly button and one … Down there. Holy shit. She also had a strange, cross-shaped burn mark on her collarbone.
"That's her?" Jaune asked, not quite taking his eyes off the sight.
"Yup." Malina replied dryly.
"Well, what have we here? Are you all perhaps on a voyeur trip or something?" Zdrada asked as she went closer, not feeling shameful in the least, despite her current state of undress. However, that was when she also noticed Jaune, who was starting to blush quite heavily and trying to avert his gaze. Her grin grew seeing him.
"Well, what do we have here? How are you, blondie?" She asked, facing him and even taking a step towards him. "Are you being tortured in a more special way?"
"The only torture he is going through is in his pants." Modeus pointed out, and Jaune only felt his embarrassment grow at the remark. It was true, he wouldn't lie or deny it. His pants were uncomfortably tight now.
"Zdrada, please put some pants on, at least." Pandemonica said, the demoness clicking her tongue.
"You lot are no fun at times. Fine, let me get my clothes on." Following that, and another few minutes later, Zdrada had dressed once again, to Jaune's relief. She wore bracelets on her arms, one reaching her fingers, plus a cross-shaped necklace. That explains the burn, really. Additionally, said necklace was tied to a choker on her neck. Her attire was less professional looking than the rest, consisting of a red tuckered shirt with black skinny jeans and knee-length heeled boots.
"Thank you." Jaune said.
"Didn't do it for you, blondie." Zdrada replied. "Those prudes asked me to, so I did. Now, can you calm the tent in your pants and explain what's with this crowd? You even have Malinka and an angel with you."
"Well, you see, ummm … " Jaune rubbed the back of his head nervously as he tried to find his words. He couldn't exactly tell her that her sister was in his Harem and whatnot. Pretty sure no sister would like the idea of sharing a man with a family member. Did that count as incest? "She is - I mean … You see-"
Zdrada snorted, finding his mumbling funny. "Did the Hellhound catch your tongue, blondie? Spit it out!"
"Your sister is in my harem!"
…
"Wait, what the hell was that? The words just came out of my mouth and I couldn't control them!" Jaune thought in a small panic as he then looked at Zdrada's face. She had a smirk on it and her eyebrow was slightly raised. Was she actually impressed?
"Cool. I'm in."
Jaune did a double-take at her words. "Huh? Wait, what?"
"I said I am in. If you managed to lay my sister, then that has to mean you got some balls to you. Or that you are a nerd who enjoys her games." Zdrada brought out a cigar from her pocket, lighting it with fire from her fingers and taking a long drag from it, letting it out through her mouth. "Either way, I am still going to leech onto you."
"Why do I have the feeling I will regret this?" Jaune muttered.
"Ha! Too late to regret now, blondie, you are not going to get rid of me that easily!" Zdrada took another drag of her cigar, this time blowing the smoke out through her nose.
"Great, and here I hoped she'd say no." Malina remarked, already feeling the need for a drink. "Also, what were you doing swimming in the Styx for anyway? Those souls are not exactly the kind to keep their hands home."
"My job, surprisingly enough." Zdrada replied. "I was down there picking on the Sullen, trying to make them angrier than they are already and watching them drown again and again."
"That really is surprising, considering your record." Pandemonica added. "Regardless, we should continue on."
"Yeah, things are just getting fun!" Justice added, but that was when Jaune walked past Zdrada, who took the chance to jump forth with her hand, groping his nether regions.
"H-hey!" Jaune protested, slapping her hand away. The rest of the girls noticed the small commotion pretty swiftly, with Modeus pouting in jealousy.
"Hey, you are not actually that bad down there, blondie. How about we ditch those harlots and go have fun ourselves?" She asked, making Jaune stiffen at the question. Especially since the look she was giving him was making the Arc sweat, and it was not from the heat of Hell.
"Zdrada, please try to refrain from breaking him. We still need him in one piece to finish the journey." Pandemonica said, being Jaune's saving grace from the demoness. Seriously, although Jaune was taller than all of them he still got easily flustered and put down by their teasing alone. Zdrada let out a slight chuckle, then she took a drag of her cigar again before blowing the smoke out.
"Have it as you want, Pandemonica. If this is really a Harem, then I half-expect him to do us sooner or later." The smoking demon said, enticing someone's attention.
"Oh, I hope so." Modeus replied, adding her own comment to the mix much to Jaune's despair.
"Chastity, it was nice knowing you." Jaune said in his mind, reminding himself once again that his chastity is living on borrowed time. The Arc could only imagine what his mother would say in this situation. On one hand, she will be ecstatic at the thought of more grandbabies, and on the other, she might just kill him for sinning so hard. Let's be real, a Harem is not exactly sin free.
"Shouldn't we be, like, on our way?" Malina said, bringing the attention back to the journey. "We still got more people to add."
At this, Zdrada looked back at her sister.
"You don't say, Malinka. So, I was just another conquest for the stud? Ha!" She started to laugh, blowing smoke as she did so. "Figures. Can't wait to see who you get and how badly you might screw up. You know, if this gets too hard, you can always take a dive down to Cocytus."
"Let me guess, the lowest place in hell?" Jaune asked, turning to Pandemonica, who simply nodded in confirmation.
"It's so cold, your skin will fall off in pieces." Malina added, then watched her sister shiver at the thought. "You'd enjoy even that, wouldn't you?"
Jaune was a bit confused for a second. However, that changed once he realized what Malina meant.
"Damn right, I would!" Zdrada admitted with a laugh. "Hopefully you can keep up, blondie."
"Oh, she's one of those." Jaune thought, knowing full well that he is now in a deep pickle. Can he even satisfy her if it comes down to it? Maybe not. Then again, he did hear that when things get started men can change a bit. Who knows? Maybe he has it in him.
"Regardless of Zdrada's sexual preferences, we should really move while we still have daylight." Pandemonica said, then she turned to Cerberus. "If the sisters start to bicker, please separate them."
"Roger, roger!" The triple demon replied.
And so, the group continued onwards, but immediately, a problem was placed before them.
"Umm. How are we going to cross?" Jaune asked, and true enough, Pandemonica blushed, embarrassed.
"I … Forgot, but we won't all be able to fit in the boat of the Phlegyas. Not to mention he might not be taking us anyway … " She then looked at Zdrada. "This is your circle, Zdrada. Are there any alternate routes towards Dist and past the Styx?"
"Technically, there is one. But I thought it was obvious." She said, and then suddenly, a pair of wings appeared behind her, the other girls, except Cerberus, sprouting them as well. "We can fly, duh."
"Oh … That's right, I forgot seeing as we were traveling mainly on foot."
"Wait, you could have flown this entire time?!" Jaune gasped in surprise, but then he thought about it. He and, seemingly, Cerberus cannot fly, meaning they'd need to be carried across. Heck, even Azazel sprouted her pair of feathery, white wings. "Alright … Who's flying with who?"
"I will take two of Cerberus' bodies." Justice said, going to the triple demon. "I should be able to carry them across."
"I will take the other one." Modeus said.
"And who will have me?" Jaune asked, and sure enough, Azazel perked up.
"I will!" She said, raising her hand and going to him. "This is a perfect chance to show I am capable of being your guardian angel!"
"Alright then, in that case … Onwards to the next circle?"
Beelzebub was hard at work, using magic and darkness from the Abyss to create the new home Jaune and the Harem will live in. If ever someone passed by she would just throw on a human disguise and explain the strange things happening as being her semblance. It was a wonder how easy that made people leave her be.
She was currently putting together the foundation when her fly reported in the latest capture. "Zdrada? I remember that girl, a real troublemaker. Hopefully, her smoking addiction is gone, but just in case I will make sure to make the ventilation system better than originally planned and add an outdoor smoking area for her."
The fly then buzzed again, letting her know about the other recent development. But this time, she dropped her calm expression and got her handkerchief out. "An angel? Oh my … This will be interesting. Well, I guess she counts."
