REVIEWS:
YaL0okingForSoMething: No Generic, unfortunately. Maybe I will give her a cameo later on.
ChimaTigon: Yes.
Palefox20: The feud thing? My friend, for it to be a feud, it would need to be remembered. As for Jaune gunning for Weiss? No longer happening.
Xerzo LotCN: A lot to break down here. So yeah, Nicholas dun goofed. No Medusa or Furies as mates. As for Baphomet? Good idea with the pet goat, I will make sure to note that down. But for Monica? My friend, Jaune's aura protects and heals him, yet, it is possible to turn Monica into a Switch, or rather, have Jaune turn her that way.
Overused Meme: Who?
Kgufgo: Well, the thing is, demons are not as forward with their feelings as humans are. They understand lust and desire above love and affection, and as such, do not be surprised if to them giving a blowjob is the equivalent of holding hands (Especially in Mo's case). However, that is not to say they cannot show love and affection. It is wholly possible, but trust me, they'll use lust as a means to show it. Also, thanks for the positive comment regarding Solomon's Game. A lot of negative reviews on that lately due to certain errors on my part (My first time writing a Gamer story), so it is nice to see someone focusing more on the positives and saying them.
Guest: Normally, I don't do guest reviews, but for you, I will make this one exception. First off, no more Pyrrha lock, but the friendship stuff will still need to happen. They don't just jump his bones right away, as Jaune will need to earn that affection first. However, in terms of efforts to do so, actively trying to impress them or earn it won't really do much, as with them being demons and Jaune having not intended this in the first place, being more or less forced to take on that contract, what Jaune is likely to do is simply assure they are comfortable and all. Yet, that is exactly what I plan to use for the overall development. He will win them over, one by one, by just being himself.

It was a new day in Hell after Jaune was thrown down into Hell's last circle, and while he was sleeping there with Baphomet and Ignium to watch over him, the Harem was dealing with Lucifer above. After he was thrown out, the girls were told to sit and wait in Lucifer's chamber. They were all on edge in one way or another. Pandemonica was worried about what Lucifer would do to them now since their attempt to recruit her into the Harem failed. She knew this might happen sooner or later, but she didn't imagine that Jaune would make it to Lucifer's doorstep.
Modeus was more or less both sad and disappointed. She was sad because she lost Jaune, but also disappointed that she did not get to bed him and have fun. But she was sadder than anything. Jaune was, in hindsight, the first one to come to her and resist her charms, not immediately wanting to delve into her pants. She found it strange all the way through their journey and now she missed him for that.
Cerberus - all three of them - were sitting on the floor with their knees to their chest. Their ears were down, flattening to their heads, and their tails were limp on the floor. They missed Jaune's pats, and as such, they missed him as well. Not to mention they couldn't get to the human world without him. They were worried about what Lucifer might do to them now. Cerberus had never been in Lucifer's palace before and she was in an unhappy mood. As time stretched on their mind came up with worse and worse things the queen of hell would do to them. Would she fatally harm one of them?
Malina and her sister, Zdrada, both seemed not to care much, with the sour demon simply leaning on a wall with her arms crossed looking out through the window for the end of times to come. Her sister was beside her in a similar position but with a hand busy holding on to a cigar and smoking away. Out of all of them, they were the ones to seem to care least about everything that happened.
But that was a facade. Malina was worried about what would happen to them, same with Zdrada. The sisters were each incredibly worried about each other. And then there was Jaune. He was the only one stupid enough to even interact with them. But in a weird way … they enjoyed his company. Malina did, at least, Zdrada was more or less tagging along to see how things turned out.
Justice was blind, but even she could feel the bad mood in the room. She knew Lucifer wouldn't do anything to her, a favor for a friend if you might, but she still expected some kind of punishment. She knew Jaune the longest, sans Pandemonica, but her abilities as a demon gave her a good enough insight on the boy to know he was a good soul by now, the kind of insight you gain after years. He even seemed goofy enough to laugh at her jokes when she made them.
But the biggest irregularity was Azazel, who, for her part, looked somewhat lost seeing all of them so down and tense.
"Why is everyone so sad?" She asked softly, patting Pandemonica on the shoulder to get her attention.
"Jaune is gone, Azazel." The tired demon said, but then she realized something. "Wait, why aren't you down as well?"
"Jaune is alive, that's why!" Hearing those words made everyone perk up at her, looking at her with confused gazes. Well, except for Justice that is. "As his guardian angel, I know when he is alive and dead, so I can clearly say he is alive right now!"
"How?" Malina asked. "He fell into the depths of Hell, to Cocytus of all places! He most likely froze to death down there!"
"Gotta agree with my sister here," Zdrada blew out some smoke. "Your senses might be off, angel girl. There is no way a human can fall down there and survive."
"Actually." Pandemonica chimed in, remembering something very peculiar. As a soul went through life every action and even every thought was recorded. Angels could read this 'file' if they needed to judge someone. As an administrator of Hell, she could also read such files. "Jaune's Semblance, his power, allows him to amplify Aura from what his file says … And his late granduncle gave him their semblance as well, resulting in a new, powerful Aura-oriented one. He had next to no control over it, being a total beginner, but maybe, just maybe, he used it to survive."
"What?!" most of the girls said, with Zdrada starting to cough out smoke and Justice perking an eyebrow and whistling hearing that.
"How in the actual fuck could that happen? The chances had to be one in a million for him to have the needed ability to survive THAT?!" Malina asked again, this time seeming more … hopeful? It was one thing for a demon to fall one circle down, which is no big deal most of the time, but even multiple circles could prove fatal to them. Yet, a human has fallen all the way to the bottom of Hell and survived with no injury?
"From my understanding of it, It acts as some kind of armor and healing agent. Even if he didn't survive without injury, I expect him to heal from them." Pandemonica added. Everyone was stunned to hear about such a strange thing.
Zdrada broke the silence, however. "So what? Is that stuff strong enough to allow him to survive such a fall? I highly doubt it."
"That would be thanks to his second semblance," Pandemonica added. "I do not know the full extent of Aura and semblances, but he told me that, even if he only got it when entering Hell, his semblance was originally simply the ability to amplify Aura. But, as Justice had him tell us, he was given a contract made by his granduncle to Beelzebub. Said granduncle's ghost was the one to unlock his for him and even grant him his own semblance as a result. But he told me mixing semblances is not something normal back in his world." She finished, letting the information sink in for each one of them.
"So, in one word, he can make his Aura capable of enhancing his body to levels that make him super-human in a way, correct?" Azazel summarized. "What is the Semblance of this granduncle, Monica? Did he mention it?"
"He said it was named Aura Will and that it was linked to his emotional state. I do not know more, only that it seems somewhat useless considering what we have seen of him until now." She replied, then let out a sigh. "But with such a power or not, it will take a miracle for him to survive Hell now without us to back him up."
Hearing that had the girls feel down again, even Azazel tilted her head downwards. Then, ever so slowly, Azazel started to unite her hands, muttering a low prayer for Jaune.
The girls felt awkward having the angel pray, but they agreed with her words.
'Please, return him to us.'
Back down in Cocytus, Baphomet was taking care of Jaune as he remained unconscious, having his head on her lap and patting it slowly, running her fingers through his hair. He looked so peaceful as he slept, not afraid of anything. And to her surprise, Ignium was being silent. Before, she and he would often argue, mostly because she drove him mad with her goat obsession. But not anymore. He was silent, eyes closed, resulting in a solemn expression on his face.
She then looked over at his sword. She could tell it was enchanted, most likely by Beelzebub, and now he had Ignium's fighting skills to help him. But perhaps she could also add something to it? It didn't hurt to be ready for the climb, after all, so she slyly ran her hand over the sheath, adding an additional enchantment to it.
"Tell me, Ignium … " Baphomet began, and the demon opened his eyes for the first time since Jaune fell asleep. "This new Semblance you gave him, who was the Arc you even got it from?"
"Sorry to say, but I don't think I can say it." Ignium replied, and just as Baphomet wanted to ask why, she felt Jaune move as he gasped for air, then began to cough loudly. The boy coughed out a black tar which left a horrible, rotten taste in his mouth. He didn't know what that stuff was, but he didn't want to know either. Ignium cracked a smile. He lifted his face and opened his eyes to allow the golden hue to stare at the boy.
"Welcome back, sleeping beauty." He greeted Jaune, who then looked at Ignium, then at Baphomet, noticing he was on her lap. Blushing, he quickly jumped up, but strangely, he seemed faster, which confused him a bit after getting up.
"Wait … " Jaune said, looking at his body and seeing the snake tattoo on him. He then looked at Ignium. "So, do I have fighting skills now? Like, actual skills?"
"Yes." Ignium replied. "Granted, they are temporary until you fulfill your goal. After that, I want them back alongside Blood Binder. Oh, and there is one more thing I think I should tell you. Well, two actually."
Jaune looked at Ignium. "Ok, what are those?"
"First, do you still plan on getting Lucifer into your little harem?" Ignium asked, making Jaune look at him strangely. "Answer me, kid. Baphomet there can tell if you are lying."
"I … " Jaune began, then he paused for a moment, thinking. "I am. She might have had me thrown down here, but I do not blame her. It is her job to rule Hell and she is not obliged to be in my Harem. However, I will still try."
"Oh?" Ignium mused, finding Jaune's answer peculiar. "And why is that?"
"I don't know … " Jaune replied, hanging his head low. "I guess that, when I heard her talk, she sounded somewhat … lonely?"
Now that had Ignium's attention.
Jaune continued. "She seems lonely being at the top, you know? When you reach so high and people around you treat you differently for it?"
"That sounds more like a third-person perspective." Baphomet added. "How can you know what she is going through without having gone through it yourself?"
"Again, I don't know … " Jaune repeated. "She stands at the top of Hell, the summit! But me? I've always been at the bottom. It is lonely there as well … Why are you asking Ignium?"
The demon closed his eyes, inhaling sharply, but when he opened his eyes and looked at Jaune, a grin spread on his face.
"You will be a good partner for her, Jaune Arc. I can tell. And, to answer your question, I was there, in Heaven, back when Lucifer was not yet The Devil you know and fear. My angel name was Ophirius and I was in charge of teaching the younger generation of angels. Lucifer, Micheal, and Gabriel were my favorite students. Each one of them had such wonderful virtues." His smile then turned to a frown. "Virtues which blinded me to see Lucifer's flaws."
"Her flaw?" Jaune echoed. "You mean her pride?"
"I was blind, boy, and allowed the War in Heaven to be." Ignium nodded, regret seeping through his voice. "If I was more alert, if I wasn't such a fool thinking my own student wouldn't be capable of that, then maybe none of us would be here today."
"But it wasn't your fault!" Jaune said, interrupting the demon. "You couldn't have known what was going to happen!"
"Don't you think I know that!" Ignium shouted, showing his fangs to him.
"That is not something I blame myself, I blame myself for what I did in the war!" He shouts, then sets his back straight, straining the chains. "When Lucifer turned herself into that horrible dragon, it was I along with Michael who cast her down. Because of me, she is down here. Even now, if you look at her back, the scar I gave her with the very weapon on you is ever so present. I plunged my weapon into her spine and dragged it down - from the base of her neck to the base of her tail. She still has that scar on her."
Both Jaune and Baphomet were silent, letting him talk.
"I, who was her teacher, hurt her and threw her down here. After the war, it was not a day that went by without her screams of pain echoing in my head. I even went to the Lord himself, asking him and begging him to tell me why her screaming is haunting me! But what he told me was that I couldn't let go of her. I couldn't let go of the love I had for my students! Angels are made to embody the good aspects you humans have, and love stands as a cardinal part of our being! But when that love torments you, there is nothing else to do but desire for it to end!"
Baphomet gasped in realization. "You crazy bastard, you didn't!"
"BUT I DID! … I ASKED God to cast me down!" He confessed, earning the stunned looks of both Jaune and Baphomet.
"When he refused me I simply asked again, and again, and again, until one fateful night I did the unforgivable and raised my own blade against my own!" The chains clicked as Ignium moved around, but they didn't give to the strain. "I took my weapon, the one on you now, and cut an angel! I KILLED an angel!"
Jaune took a step back, trying to take in what he just heard. "You … You didn't kill them intentionally, right?"
"No … I was stressed, tired, and a complete wreck. They were trying to be, well, angelic, and help me. But I acted with violence." Ignium looked up, above where the circles of Hell ended. "I was cast down for my crime and punished down here. My wings burned, the feathers turned to ash, and my skin let out smoke for years after."
"Then why fight Lucifer?" Jaune asked again. "All you are saying right now indicates that even now you still care deeply about her, correct?"
Ignium nodded.
"Then why?"
Ignium sighed. Now this was the question he was waiting for. "So she can be forgiven."
"Her pride, her high position, were the reasons she was cast down. I thought that, if I humiliate her and take her throne, maybe she will shed her pride and ascend." His voice was sad, lingering with regret. "But I failed miserably and now I am where you see me."
"But why fight her?" He asked, trying to understand everything. His voice was breaking slightly as his anger was building up inside him, and for a few seconds, his Aura was also flaring. "Wasn't there some other way? Another way to save her?"
Ignium smiled at Jaune. "I like your cut, boy. You are an optimist, a dreamer! You seek the best course of action to make everyone happy and make sure no one has to suffer. But that is also a naive way to be, Jaune. The world is not one where things will always go smoothly and your way. Sometimes we are dealt a hand we just do not want to play, but we must play it to win."
"Answer me!" Jaune shouted again.
"No." Ignium replied calmly. "Hell's law states that Lucifer either has to surrender her throne or die in battle against a challenger. I tried to make her surrender through the fight, but she was stubborn. She'd rather die with pride than surrender in shame."
"I … " Jaune couldn't even begin to think of a way to counter that. If that was how Hell worked, which didn't surprise him much by now, then Lucifer getting into the Harem was now even a lot harder. "Then what? Any advice on how I am supposed to get her to leave with me and surrender the throne?"
"Yes." Ignium said, his voice radiating with a tense seriousness. "You will need to prove yourself, Jaune. Go back, climb up, and carve your way through Hell's soldiers! Then, when you reach Lucifer, try to promise her something."
"An Arc doesn't go back on their promises!" Jaune stated, drawing Crocea Mors out. "I will promise her anything I need to give her! Be it the world, my heart, my-"
"Pancakes." Ignium said, cutting Jaune off and killing the epic mood altogether. "She has a thing for them, believe it or not. Back in Heaven, she'd always ask me to cook some with her. However, ever since she fell, she hasn't had any. Hell doesn't have anything similar to sugar."
"I … I can actually do that." Jaune said. "Any idea what kind she likes more?"
"She loves pancakes made with vanilla sugar and chocolate. Cremes, to be specific on the kind." The demon specified. "All demons love sugar, so do not be surprised if they become your everyday breakfast."
"I have seven sisters back home, Ignium." Jaune pointed out. "I think I can handle it."
"Then go! You have been asleep for a long time, boy, and the day is starting to turn into night." Ignium said. "But you may not rest even at night. You will need to fight the ghouls along with the soldiers of Hell. You will not have peace until your job is done, got it?"
"Got it." Jaune replied. "Tenebra Armora"
He stood still as the white and golden smoke enveloped him, creating the armor Beelzebub had created for him. Ignium and Baphomet both looked at him with mild surprise, but Ignium ended up chuckling.
"I will see you later, guys. Thank you." And with that, he left running toward his destiny.
"Beelzebub's hand is all over that boy." Baphomet pointed out. "Granted, I also put my own on him."
"Hopefully, Lucifer doesn't come to you next, Baphomet. Aren't you going to follow him? You do seem to like his golden fur."
"I still have a duty to guard you. Plus, Lucifer will eventually take a peek and see he is alive, and I don't want to make her angry. She already put me down here with you, after all." Baphomet replied, making Ignium laugh a bit.
"Please, that is exactly why there is nothing else she can do to you."
Jaune exited the cave, once again being out in the cold winds of Cocytus. But this time, he was prepared to face them. It was strange, having the snake on him, giving him such skills. But he didn't care about that right now. "I have to get back to Lucifer's palace. If what Justice said is true, she will be aware of my return and most likely increase security. Last time it was easy- too easy! But now? It is likely going to be heavily guarded and I have only one way in. I will need to fight."
And fight he will. Currently, Jaune found himself in the heart of Hell, surrounded by the next, smaller circle of Judecaa. He, of course, didn't know where he was at first, but then Blood Binder tightened around his neck, making him winch.
"What the-" Then he heard it.
A voice like a hiss, in his mind, telling him where he was and what this place punished. He was in the 9th circle, where the traitors are punished. Currently, he is in Judecca, the section where the ones who betrayed their Lords and benefactors are punished, being fully frozen in the ice below him. Looking down, he saw the frozen souls twisted in the most horrid positions, but he didn't let that sight affect him. He had to move on.
Walking through the chilling winds, he eventually arrived in the next section of Ptolomaea, where the traitors to one's guests are punished. Here they lay, frozen in the ice, facing upward. Their eyes were sealed shut by icy crystals. They cannot even cry their sorrows away. Yet, he walked, but as he did, he was eventually stopped in his tracks.
"Hey, you! I hear your footsteps!"
Jaune turned around to face a soul in the ice, their eyes froze over, but upon laying eyes on him, he saw their rough features, yet, their hair was what drew him in. The person had blonde hair, much like his own, but spiky and laid back.
"You are alive, I just know it! Who are you?"
Jaune hesitated for a bit, then he spoke.
"First give me your name!" He demanded, and the soul obeyed.
"The sound I hear … armor, you are armed. Very well. I am Xenter Arc, he who conquered, defeating the Vacuan garrison during the early days of the Great War!"
"You-" This was the one that the soul from Limbo told him about! How wicked must he be to be here? "You wretch! How are you here?"
"During my earthly days, towards the end of my days in Vacuo, I invited over the head of one of the tribes, only to have them killed in an attempt to weaken the enemy. However, I quickly found myself surrounded and killed the same night by an ambush." Xenter replied. "Now name yourself, stranger!"
"I am Jaune Arc, your descendant!" Jaune said, then he put his foot on the soul's head, crushing it. "I am ashamed to call myself YOUR descendant, however. I heard of you from Alami Saladi, how you massacred those people!"
"Agh! Y-you are of my blood?!" Xenter replied in shock and surprise. "Please, have mercy, and don't torment me more! I have suffered enough already!"
Jaune took his foot off his head.
"You have not suffered enough for what you have done - you never will!" Blood Binder tightened around his neck, an indication Jaune had to focus. "You will remain here, Xenter. Until Hell itself becomes tired of you, you will remain here!"
"You have a strong sense of justice, descendant … Leave me be then."
And so, Jaune continued on his road, trying to forget this encounter. He knew Xenter was in hell, but he had only heard of his massacre thus far. To think he ended up so deep in hell, where not even a light shined. Still, there was nothing Jaune could or would do, so he continued onward toward the next section. This circle was the smallest one there was, and he soon found himself surrounded by heads that looked at him strangely.
He was in Antenora, where the ones who betrayed their country were punished by being frozen neck-down in the ice. However, he had no business here, so he continued onward, toward the next section of this circle.
Caina, where the ones who murdered their kin lie. Traitors to one's own blood, this place punished. They were punished the same as in Antenora, but they could bend their necks, offering some relief from the whipping wind and cold, but as he walked, someone called out to him.
"Ye, of the house of Arc, come closer!" The soul who shouted at him was that of a woman, and Jaune went to her. "I recognized the symbol, son of Arc. Are you on a crusade through this realm?"
"My purpose is my own, shade. Tell me, what history marks you with my house?" Jaune asked, per Blood Binder's instructions.
"During my earthly days, I was known as Maria Fraunz, from Mantle. Me and my brother, who now rests in Heaven, used to own a flourishing business together, but upon being turned against one another, I killed him with poison, earning myself a place here. The one who turned me against him was my lover at the time, Brite Arc." She told Jaune, who nodded his head. "Right now, he suffers in the 8th circle of this realm. Son of Arc, if you see him, please give him the edge of your blade for me."
"I will make sure to punish him. Maria, I have to confess, hearing so much about those ancestors … I never knew." Jaune told her.
"The house of Arc is known as noble today, but their past is full of ugly truths." Maria said to him. "Every Arc down here earned their place in full, but you, son of Arc, still have time to earn a place with God."
"The faith which preaches of him is no more … How do I earn such a high place?"
"You will find the answer in time."
And with those words, Jaund departed once again, resuming his journey through this circle. However, his journey is short as he eventually reaches the edge of this circle and begins to climb, his armor not dragging him down. It was lighter than a feather, courtesy of Beel's magic. However, as he climbed, noticing the wall becoming steeper and steeper, he eventually realized that he could not climb all the way up.
The top was too high up, and he was too far down. The side of the rock was steep, and when he tried to plunge Crocea Mors inside, the rock fell apart. However, as he thought about what to do, his armor began to shine.
"What the-" Jaune looked at the light but before he knew it, a pair of wings manifested on the back of his armor.
"Baphomet … " He muttered, hearing Blood Binder's hiss. She must have put this enchantment on his armor, but it was a fading one. It will only last for him to fly up and overcome the great drops.
Yet, he didn't overthink it. He bent his knees and jumped, the wings flapping themselves and launching him up, the boy flying up until he was out of the 9th circle.
And before him, they rose. The giants.
Lucifer remained in her office, trying to think about what she could do with the traitors and the angel locked in her chamber. However, as she tried to do so, she decided to take a peek to see about the human. He should be dead by now and forced to start his journey through hell anew. This time however he would not be flesh and blood but merely a damned soul. Somewhere along the path, he would be heading to Minos, no matter how much he dragged his feet, he couldn't fight the compulsion to move forward. It would be fun to see him realize he couldn't escape his motion sickness even in death. But strangely, when she looked for him around Acheron, she didn't see him.
"What?" Her eyebrows furrowed as she used her ability to look for him near Minos himself, but yet again, nothing.
"No … " She muttered, opening her eyes and standing up, hands slamming onto the desk. "He couldn't have survived."
She closed her eyes again, taking a look around hell once more, but this time, looking around Cocytus and its circles. And eventually, she found him … Flying up.
"BAPHOMET!" Lucifer yelled in rage, recognizing the enchantment. "How dare she provide him aid behind my back?! I will make sure to punish her severely for this, but for now, I need to deal with this nuisance."
A smirk crept on her face. "Luckily, there is one giant I know who doesn't need to worry about chains."
Jaune found himself in a strange place, and as he looked up, his eyes widened in amazement as he looked at the beings around him. Blood Binder once again hissed in his mind; the giants. Those who were thrown here for their crimes against the heavens. Near him, a giant blew into a mighty horn that shook the ground. It was named by the demonic being on him as Nimrod, who was punished to be unable to speak any other language aside from the first, forgotten language.
It was a waste of time to try and talk with him. Blood Binder told Jaune to continue his journey, but as he was about to take a step towards the next circle, he suddenly got the urge to duck down, and he did, dodging a great boulder that flew past him.
"What the-" Jaune turned and saw the cause.
A giant was walking towards him, his long beard reaching his chest and shaking the ground with his steps alone. Not that the boulder didn't shake the ground too when it landed.
"A giant, free? I thought they were supposed to be tied up with chains." Jaune muttered, expecting an answer from Blood Binder, but it was unneeded.
"Are you Jaune Arc? The boy who dares go against Lucifer?" The giant asked, and Jaune, feeling the fight coming, put up his shield and drew Crocea Mors out. "So you are. My name is Antaeus, the giant! I am here on Lucifer's orders, not to allow you to go further! If you wish to get past me, you may try, but as long as my feet touch the unholy ground we walk on, I am invincible!"
With his shouting done, Antaeus smacked his fists against the ground, causing it to shake and attract the attention of even the other giants, who looked down at the battle. Jaune maintained his balance despite the shaking, then he saw the giant charge at him, but he knew he couldn't take on such a being. The giant was naturally stronger than him, his sword and armor would do him no good, yet he decided to try.
He charged at the giant as well, and slid between his legs, slashing at his ankle. Or tried to, at least, but as Crocea Mors slid on it, their skin was not parting, as it felt like slicing rock. Seeing this, the next thing Jaune did was back away and dodge and Antaeus tried to turn around and kick him away, but all he did was raise a thick cloud of dust.
Jaune began to run, trying to think of a way to defeat the giant. If his words were true, and he saw that they were, then he needed to find a way to make them FLOAT of all things! He ran all around, Antaeus giving chase to him. He couldn't win against the giant, but as he ran, he noticed the drop back to Cocytus in front of him, making him change his direction not to fall inside again, but as he did, Antaeus picked up a mighty boulder again and threw it at him.
Jaune didn't have enough time to dodge, and the boulder impacted the ground right behind him. It broke into pieces with one large chunk impacting him, making his aura flare violently to lessen the damage. He was sent flying towards another one of the giants, who, seeing that Antaeus had lost sight of him, reached out with his hands and hid Jaune.
"What?" Jaune was confused, to say the least, then he looked up at the giant. "Who are you?"
"I am Tityos." The giant named himself. "You wish to defeat Antaeus, to go against Lucifer. I wish for vengeance against her, for the pain she inflicted on me, as we all do. Listen to me, for I will only say this once: You cannot defeat Antaeus, for as long as he is touching the ground, nothing can. But you can trick him. Behind the rocks, hidden, is a chain that belonged to one of the giants imprisoned here, before they escaped. Use it to trip him and send him plunging down into the 9th circle."
"Thank you for your aid, Tityos. I won't forget it." Jaune replied, then the giant nodded his head. "I have a plan … Can you throw me at Antaeus?"
"Very well." The giant turned to Antaeus. "Antaeus! Have this!"
With all his considerable might, the giant threw Jaune. The boy flew through the air and eventually landed on Antaeus' face.
"I doubt your eyes are invincible!" Jaune proclaimed and plunged Crocea Mors into one of the giant's eyes.
"AHHHH!" Antaeus shouted in pain. He brought his hand to his face, trying to squash Jaune, but he managed to jump away in time. He grabbed onto the hair on the giant's arm.
"You damn insect!" Antaeus raged, his eye bloody and closed, and waved his arm violently, trying to shake Jaune off, but he held on.
Jaune then began to move, slowly, and carefully not to fall off Antaeus' arm. Then, he jumped when Antaeus shook his arm above himself, allowing Jaune to land on his head. Antaeus tried to once again squish him, but Jaune slid down to his face, landing on the giant's nose and managing to catch himself. Antaeus saw him, of course, and tried to squash him, but Jaune jumped again towards his other eye.
And with no warning, he caught on to Antaeus' lashes and plunged Crocea Mors into one of his eyes again.
"AHHH! I CANNOT SEE! YOU BLINDED M-! AHHHH!" The giant shouted, then Jaune jumped down, just as Antaeus kneeled down as well, waiting for his eyes to heal, but Jaune was not giving him that pleasure.
He listened to Tityos' advice and managed to find the chains, running and wrapping one end to a rock and pulling the other himself, right in front of the pit to the 9th circle. "Over here you stupid giant!"
"You dare insult me after blinding me?!" Antaeus raged and then charged in the direction he heard Jaune from, only to trip on the chain as planned and plunge down into the 9th circle.
"NOOOO!" He shouted as he fell down, Jaune eventually heard the loud sound of his landing. The giants were all shades, already dead, so everything Jaune did would heal. Antaeus was not dead, for he already was.
"I bought myself time." Jaune muttered, feeling tired from the battle.
"Go!" Tityos shouted at him. "Antaeus will rise soon, you must not be here when he does! He cannot chase you out of his place, for he is bound here. Go now, young warrior!"
"Y-yes!" Jaune listened to the giant and began to run away from this place, not willing to wait for Antaeus to rise again from the depth of Cocytus.
"Antaeus, you useless giant!" Lucifer slammed her fist on her desk, with Judgement by her side.
"Let me go and stop him, Ma'am. If I go, he won't take one more step." Judgement told her, but Lucifer was not going to send her High Prosecutor in just yet.
"No, there are still more guardians that can stop him. The next circle is the one of Fraud. I will send a message to Malacoda to intercept him, as well as one to the guardian of the 9th bolge."
"Him? Forgive me, Ma'am, but that demon doesn't know how to fight. The reason he does that job is because he is not afraid of the souls there." Judgement told Lucifer, who merely gave her a cold look. "But you are not planning for him to fight, right?"
Lucifer grinned. "Indeed. Let's see how well this boy does against the sinners themselves."
