Okano had been running for a while now before she decided to stop and climb into a tree to check the loot she had acquired. She had stolen Kimura's bag as well as snatched a satchel before deciding to make a run for it. Normally she'd be happy to stay and fight, but she decided to be patient because of one thing: nightfall. She knew no one in her class could beat her in the darkness, as she had an excellent sense of smell and night vision. Now this game would be an excellent way to put these weapons to the test.

Looking in her bag, she had acquired a blanket, some rope, a lighter, a pack of protein bars, a hammer and an unpopped paint balloon. Not ideal, but still a good stash overall. Thirst would eventually become a problem, as the only sources of water were the pool and the class building, but for now she could rely on her stash. She could even pick fruits and berries if necessary. As six fireworks shot into the air, signaling the end of the initial all-out brawl, the petite gymnast grinned. This game was hers to win.

"I..I think that's far enough…"

Kanzaki and Kayano fell to their knees, panting as they heard fireworks in the distance.

"4…5…6 shots," Kanzaki counted, "Not as much as I expected."

"Well, we are assassins rather than all out combatants," Kayano responded, "I guess most of us opted to flee rather than risk immediate death."

"Fair enough," Kanzaki nodded, "Did you manage to find any loot?"

"Sadly not," The green-haired girl shook her head, "Too busy running."

"I see. But hey, look what I acquired." Kanzaki smiled as she held up a large bag.

"Holy mother of pudding!" Kayano shouted, "Where did you find that?"

"Guess it comes with the gamer territory," Kanzaki smiled, "I got a pretty good eye for loot to pick up."

"Let's check what's inside," Kayano said as she opened the bag, "hmmm, a short saber, camouflage spray for our gear, dried fruit and a sleeping bag for two."

"For two, really?"

"Yup. seems Korosensei might still try to send out a subtle message."

"You sure it's a good idea to come here?"

"It's the best place to get water, something we should do before the others get here."

"Still, we should be careful. For all we know, Kataoka could be hiding under the surface."

"She won't, I saw her running in the other direction."

Suguya, Mimura and Fuwa had teamed up and were walking towards the pool.

"Don't worry," Suguya grinned, "The material of the satchel you found is pretty much waterproof. I can quickly convert it into a water bag, and we'll be out in a jiffy."

"Alright then," Fuwa nodded, "Meanwhile we will look around for some more loot. Korosensei knew we would come here, so there's bound to be some stuff around."

"Sounds good." Sugaya responded as he sat behind a rock to start his handiwork. Suddenly, a yelp came from the bushes, causing the boy to jump up.

"Guys?! Is that you?"

"Nope, we're right behind you," Mimura responded as he and Fuwa came walking out, carrying an extra bag as well as a large staff, "You okay? We heard somebody scream."

"It came from over there. Keep your guard up."

The three slowly moved forward only to find Okuda, hanging upside down with her foot in a snare trap.

"Oh, you poor thing," Fuwa spoke up, unable to hide an amused smirk, "What are we to do with you?"

"Please don't kill me," The class chemist pleaded, "I was just looking for someone to team up with."

"Hmmm, what do you think, guys?" Mimura asked.

"I'd say we let her join," Sugaya responded as he grabbed Mimura's staff and began prodding at the tree branch Okuda was suspended from. "Killing her like this would just be cruel, and I bet she can brew a mad concoction with all the random goodies we find."

"Thanks guys," Okuda smiled happily after the others helped her down, "I promise I'll do my best to help out!"

"All in a day's work," Mimura responded, "Now that that's over with, how are the water bags coming along, Suguya?"

"I was just finished," the other boy said as he passed him an empty sack, " Now let's go fill these babies up."

Both boys walked to the edge of the pool. But as they crouched down, Okuda noticed strange movement on the other side.

"Guys, watch out! It's a…!"

But before she could finish, a giant underwater bear trap going around the entire edge of the pool sprang and snapped shut around the two boys.

"WHAT THE HELL? IS THERE SUPPOSED TO BE A MEGALODON LIVING IN OUR POOL?"

"Holy crap, that was just brutal," Irina commented. Both the teachers and the fallen students had gathered on the platform and were watching the game through Ritsu's main body.

"Well, at least Okuda and Fuwa made it out alive," Kimura spoke up, "It would suck to be saved from a trap only to end up in another one."

"Nurufufu, I admit that was a tricky one," Korosensei chuckled, "I noticed both Mimura and Okuda saw the trap, but alas, the boy wasn't fast enough."

"Mimura's got an eye for the field," Karma shrugged as he plopped down next to Nakamura.

"Hey, look who it is, mr. hotshot," Nakamura grinned, "Didn't expect to see you join us so soon."

"Whatever," Karma shrugged, "Guess I should throw the others a bone from time to time as well. Plus, I got to mark Terasaka as my property."

"Hey!" Terasaka shouted.

"Save the bickering, you two," Karasuma spoke up, "The fighting's happening in the arena, not here!"

"Speaking of, care to show us what the other students are up to, Ritsu?" Korosensei asked while preparing two more fireworks.

"Yes sir!"

"Guess I'll be going solo for now…"

Nagisa was hiding in a small cave, holding what little loot he had managed to forage: A large bottle of water, a pillow, a flashlight and a rack of shurikens. Hearing some fireworks in the distance, he decided to stay put for now. Maybe some of his closer classmates, like Sugino or Kayano would come by and be open to working together. If not, he could try to sneak out later, maybe try to get in a hit on an unsuspecting classmate and steal their loot. The blue-haired boy chuckled. It sounded a lot worse when thinking it out like that.

"Seriously dude, I don't get you at all."

"Oh? Care to explain?"

"All you talk about is being into 2D girls. Nothing wrong with that part, since it's your fancy. But then you also are hard into the whole maid cafe thing, a place filled with boobalicious 3D girls."

Takebayashi, Okajima and Itona were walking near the mountain path, only holding a few satchels and weapons amongst the three of them.

"It's quite simple, my perverted friend," Takebayashi said as he pushed up his glasses. The Black & White maid cafe is an ideal place to indulge in some sweet R&R. The maids are also beautiful and a joy to be around. That being said, their status pales in comparison to an actual 2D girl, such as our own Ritsu."

"I guess that makes some sort of sense," Okajima nodded, "Just don't let us catch you making out with her LCD screen. Speaking of, what about you, fellow oppai brother?"

"Hmmm?" Itona looked up at the other boys.

"You weren't there when we first discussed this, but who's your favorite girl in our class?"

"Hmmm, I'd go with Yada." The silver-haired boy answered.

"Nice," Okajima commented, "a solid choice, my friend."

"I distinctly recall that during our initial discussion, Kanzaki ended up in first place with 4 votes, followed by Yada with 3." Takebayashi spoke up, "Which means that given the new circumstances, professor Bitches' pupil is now tied for first place with the class idol."

"Honestly, I'd settle for pretty much any girl in our class," Okajima said as he held his hands behind his head, "Even if not all are my preferred body type."

"You're talking about Kayano, aren't you?"

"Yep."

"Whoops, Kayano's gonna flip when she hears that." Suguya spoke up. After he and Mimura were killed in the pool trap, Korosensei had immediately fetched the two boys to prevent any disturbances in the game.

"Nevermind that, I'm more interested in those rankings Takebayashi was talking about." Nakamura grinned.

"Oh yeah, I remember those," Karma responded, "Sadly that discussion was interrupted by a certain yellow octopus.

"Yeah, he pretty much did the same to us when professor Bitch was gonna tell us some of her stories." Hayami spoke up.

"Nurufufu, why have mach 20 speed when you don't put it to good use?" Korosensei chuckled.

"Right, define good use." Terasaka sneered.

"Anyway, seems all of your remaining classmates have made their groups and the initial heat has died down a bit," Korosensei said, "Why don't we make use of the moment to move back inside the classroom and make ourselves comfortable? Just make sure you don't disturb the game by getting in the way of your living classmates. I've already set up sleeping gear and prepared dinner bentos for everyone who won't need to survive on their found loot."

As everyone started to get up, Chiba suddenly spoke.

"Hold up, aren't we missing a few students? Among everyone who's dead and appeared on screen, I only count 25 people."

"Nurufufu, don't you worry, my boy," Korosensei answered, "Ritsu's keeping a few things hidden to make the viewing experience more exciting. Anyway, let's move on."

"Looks like our audience is moving back inside." Maehara noticed. He and the others from the group of 7 had spent the last hour looting every crate, bag and satchel for weapons, food and other items.

"Doesn't make much of a difference for us," Muramatsu responded, "We seriously hit the motherload here."

"True, but we should still be careful," Isogai spoke up, "We're pretty much sitting ducks out here, and people will eventually come for us."

"Then why don't we move inside the building?" Sugino suggested, "Karasuma did say it was allowed as long as we don't enter the graveyard, aka our classroom."

"Isn't that a bit too easy?" Yoshida asked.

"It's a high-risk, high-reward strategy," Hara answered, "We'll have shelter and solid defenses, but we're bound to be attacked eventually, as we're completely open."

"We should be good as long as we set night guards," Hazama spoke up as she caressed her spider, "It's too soon to start fighting amongst ourselves, so let's try to get at least one night of indoor sleep."

"So it's decided then," Isogai said as he took up his blowgun and a shield. "Hazama and I will stand guard while you guys move everything inside. Once it gets dark, we'll put up night patrol shifts so everyone can get some sleep. If anyone attacks or tries to sneak in, we'll wake everyone so we can fight back. Sounds good?"

"You got it!"

"Ever the charming leader, isn't he?" Korosensei said, chomping down on a candy bar. By now, the teachers and the 8 dead students had gathered in the classroom, which was covered with futons. Korosensei had even built a divider out of the desks to separate the boys and girls during the night.

"Interesting," Karasuma responded, "Seems they've chosen to hold down the fort."

"Isn't there the risk of a siege?" Kimura asked, "They are kinda locking themselves in."

"Unlikely," The drill sergeant answered, "Only 12 other students remain alive, which is barely enough as it is. Furthermore, the name of the game is solo survival, so it's unlikely people will put themselves in the line of fire, which cancels out a lot of siege tactics. Lastly, the inside team can easily go on lockdown for a while if necessary, until they start fighting among themselves. But by that time, many outsiders will also have fallen. So if I had to guess, the most that could happen is someone sneaking in in an attempt to steal some loot."

"Well, at least we got a nice place to sleep. Been way too long since we had a sleepover." Nakamura commented as she stretched herself out on a futon.

"Please, I could use one."

Everyone turned around as Takebayshi stumbled into the classroom, covered in dirt, leaves and paint. He fell forward on a futon, completely clean as Korosensei had scrubbed him down in the half second it took him to land.

"Welcome back, Takebayashi,' Korosensei said as he cleaned the boys' glasses, "Guess someone else met their demise while we transported Ritsu back inside."

"Dude, what happened to you?" Mimura asked as he sat down next to the maiden lover.

"Treelog trap…" Takebayashi mumbled, "Couldn't get out of the way in time."

"That's rough, buddy," Sugaya smiled sympathetically as he patted his back, "At this rate, more people will die from Korosensei's traps than through other players."

"Nurufufu, don't be so sure," Korosensei smiled as he grabbed a lantern and some fireworks, "Nightfall is nigh, and I feel not everyone will settle for a good nights' rest."
