Everyone returned to the sanatorium and talked about what happened, even Moniqa was informed. After the discussion was over, everyone went their seperate ways. Atari was about to go to bed but heard a knock at the entrance door to her apartment. So, she placed the blanket back on the bed and answered the door.
"I hope I'm not bothering you or anything but Joule and I were wondering if you'd like to stay for the night and have dinner with us." Gunvolt greeted.
"U-um, okay, sure. A-as long as I'm not a bother o-or anything." Atari confirmed.
"It's no trouble." Gunvolt stated.
When they got back to Gunvolt's apartment, Joule was waiting on the couch. Right after Atari walked through the door, Joule bolted to Atari and hugged her.
"I'm so glad you're okay. I thought the Sumeragi caught you." Joule cried.
"Now that you mention it, I don't know if he was working for the Sumeragi or not." Atari remembered.
"Do you remember what he looked like?" Gunvolt hoped.
"He had blond hair, blue eyes, a black jacket, a tan shirt, blue pants and black boots last time I saw him." Atari answered.
"I'll tell Zeno and Moniqa so they can look for him too." Gunvolt notified.
"Do you need any help with dinner?" Atari queried.
Gunvolt shook his head.
"It'll be fine, don't worry." Gunvolt assured before walking into the kitchen to start working on dinner.
"I heard what happened but you could've attracted attention. The Sumeragi most likely didn't have employees there looking for you. If there are any, they're probably looking i the wrong places." Joule commented.
"Y-yeah, now that I think about it, it does seem pretty dumb that I worried about that." Atari guessed.
"Do you think it'll have again?" Joule pondered.
"No, it just seems like one of those once in a lifetime events." Atari denied.
"Is there anything you'd change about the life you have right now if you could?" Joule wondered.
"Well, I've met kind people like you and Zeno. Not to mention I've possibly saved someone from living my life. So I don't think I'd change a thing." Atari smiled.
"I could say the same thing too." Joule agreed.
"Ouch!" Gunvolt muttered.
After hearing that, Joule and Atari ran into the kitchen to check on Gunvolt.
"Are you okay GV?" Joule queried.
"Do you guys have a first aid kit here?" Atari questioned.
"It's in the bathroom medicine cabinet behind the mirror." Joule informed while examining Gunvolt's cut on his right index finger.
Ten seconds later, Atari came back with the first aid kit and handed it to Joule. After being patched up, Gunvolt sighed.
"Thanks for the help you two, I'll go back and make dinner." Gunvolt thanked before standing up.
However, before he could walk anywhere, Joule and Atari ushered Gunvolt to sit down. Which he did though he was rather hesitant to do so.
"It's okay, we'll make dinner." Atari announced.
"Are you sure? I mean, it's just a tiny cut." Gunvolt asked.
Joule nodded.
"We can make instant fried noodles." Joule smiled.
So, while Atari and Joule were working on dinner, Gunvolt was sitting on the couch watching TV.
"Eek!" Atari shrieked.
Gunvolt got up and looked in the kitchen to see if Atari was alright. Joule took a towel from the bathroom and put ice in it for Atari.
"Looks like it's two down and one to go." Joule whispered.
Atari sat on the left side of the sofa while Gunvolt sat on the right.
"Are you okay Lily?" Gunvolt pondered.
"I'm fine, it's just a little burn from the water when I helped Joule pour it out." Atari answered.
"The noodles are done, they just need to cool off." Joule notified.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the front door. Atari hopped to her feet, ran and locked herself in the bathroom. Zeno looked around after closing the door with a quizzical expression on his face.
"Where's Lily? She didn't get taken again did she!?" Zeno worried.
"No, she just got scared since she didn't know it was you knocking on the door and ran to lock herself in the bathroom." Lumen elucidated.
"I'll go get her, thanks for the info Lumen." Zeno responded.
Lumen nodded before dissapearing. Zeno reached the bathroom and knocked on the door twice. Atari opened the door and hugged Zeno before backing up.
"Wait, how did you get here? There's a bad person trying to get in. And you're unharmed too? What is going on here?" Atari pondered.
Zeno was about to tell Atari the truth. But before he did, Zeno got a sneaky idea.
"Yeah, who knew the Sumeragi would decide to try invading people's homes? It's fine though, I got em and he's as good as dead." Zeno lied.
"That's a relief, I'd better go check on GV and Joule then." Atari smiled.
"That was a terrible idea Zeno!" Lumen protested.
"How come? I found a girl that isn't 2d and makes me feel like the main protagonist from one of my video games." Zeno grinned.
"Because you lied to her! She's child like in the sense of trusting people for the most part! If she finds out it was you at the door knocking I bet she'll be pretty upset." Lumen stated.
"Y-you were the one at the door knocking? Lumen's right, I don't trust you anymore." Atari cried before running out of the apartment and out of the building.
Lumen dissapeared after telling Gunvolt and Joule what Zeno did.
"She ran out? We'd better find her.' Gunvolt spoke as he checked his watch.
"It looks like she stopped at Fukashima park." Lumen noticed.
"I'll go get her, it's my fault she ran away anyways." Zeno notified.
"Good luck!" Joule hollered.
When Zeno finally found Atari, she was passed out on the cement walking path, sprawled out.
'She must've passed out cause she hasn't eaten for a bit.' Zeno thought.
"I found her, I'm bringin her back." Zeno informed.
After knocking on the door with his foot, Zeno noticed Gunvolt opened the door for him and he placed Atari on the sofa before leaving. Joule grbbed the last bowl of noodles, a pair of chopsticks and put them on the table. While she was sitting at the table eating with Gunvolt, Joule heard Atari yawn as she sat up on the couch.
"What were you thinking you'd accomplish by running away!? Especially on an empty stomach!" Lumen scolded.
"It's fine, she's back and that's all that matters." Gunvolt assured.
So, Joule, Atari and Gunvolt ate happily. After dinner, everyone fell asleep.
