After exiting the building, Zeno and Gunvolt contacted Moniqa and Xiao.
"GV, are you alright?" Moniqa wondered.
"I'm fine, Zeno is too. Copen and Lily were knocked out during the fight. We'll meet you at my apartment." Gunvolt informed.
When they all met up, they placed Copen in a chair in the kitchen and Atari on the couch.
"I have stats on Copen, he'll be fine. I'll call Nori so she can pick us up. You and Joule should get some sleep. Zeno can take Lily with him." Lola spoke.
Zeno nodded as he looked at Lola. Gunvolt and Joule woke up with worry the next morning. Gunvolt called Zeno and Joule called Lola.
"Hey Lola, how's Copen?" Joule greeted.
"He's rambling about how the battle yesterday should've been easy. So yeah, he's fine." Lola responded.
The girls began to chat about the Muse Septima, fashion and other things while Gunvolt called Zeno.
"Hey man, how's it goin?" Zeno smiled.
"How's Lily?" Gunvolt worried.
"She's aight, been out since that voltaic Chain Meteor attack got her. she still is so I'm stayin' here just in case she wakes up." Zeno replied.
"Let me know of any developments as soon as they come up alright?" Gunvolt asked.
"No prob man, see ya." Zeno confirmed.
When the call was ended, Gunvolt found Joule reading the book about the breadmaker robot and the girl in the kitchen. Gunvolt gave her a tissue which she took and placed the rest of the box on the table.
"How's Copen?" Gunvolt queried.
"He's fine, he's doing maintinence on his equipment right now." Lumen answered.
"Lily's still unconcsious, Zeno's staying back to keep an eye on her." Gunvolt notified.
"Maybe we should meet up at his place until she wakes up." Lumen recommended.
"Good idea Lumen." Gunvolt noted.
Lumen smiled.
"What do you think Demerzel was talking about with her?" Lumen pondered.
"Whatever it was, it seems there may be something about her we're not aware of. Not even something Lily herself knows of." Gunvolt explained.
"Maybe Xiao got some new info that can help us identify it." Lumen theorized.
"I'll call him and see if he can meet us at Zeno's." Gunvolt agreed as he called Xiao.
They met up along with Zeno and Moniqa. Joule stayed to keep an eye on Atari in her room. Joule didn't like being there because she was beginning to grow a tad envious of the items in Atari's room. The creme lace trim lamp shade that threw images of shooting stars on the walls as it rotated and played 'twinkle twinkle little star' on a piano recording.
The shelf full of random plushes and books, including one of Ekoro similar to the one Zeno gave Joule. She was especially jealous of Atari's new outfit laid out on the saucer chair in the top left corner of the room to the right of the shelf andn window. There was a white long sleeve u-neck t-shirt with black handwarmers sewn under the black 2 inch long bands that would hide Atari's knuckles.
There was also a black centimeter long band at the waist end of the shirt. There was a skirt that ended at the start of her lower thighs that was black, had 3-inch wide pleats and a 4-inch tall stretchy waistband. Along with some adorable black Nike shoes with a white check, white highlights, laces and a panda charm on the vertical strap that kept the laces on the shoe. A pack of 8 count white socks was to the left of the shoes. Zeno gave Joule some money so she could get Atari any female necessities.
"Looks like Zeno knows his way around cute stuff." Joule supposed.
"Are you jealous that GV doesn't give you things like that? or that he didn't spend time with you to go watch that movie or go on vacation?" Lumen teased.
"I-it's not that! Nothing like that at all! Honestly, I'm pretty surprised that Zeno can afford this. And GV managed to get me that Soupbear phone strap so..." Joule droned.
Lumen giggled as Moniqa opened the oor and entered the room.
"She's still asleep? At this rate we may never figure out what Demerzel was trying to say about her." Moniqa sighed.
"Did Xiao find anything out?" Joule queried.
"Nothing yet, but he said he'll keep looking." Moniqa answered.
The two were in awkward silence for a moment.
"Dang it Geeves! Ya were supposed ta tell me the tiramisu was burning!" Zeno ranted.
After hearing that, Moniqa and Joule exited Atari's room. They entered the kitchen to see Zeno sitting at the table with his right arm in front his face, head on the tabletop and his left arm was hanging at his side, holding a white and red plaid ovenmitt as he sat. The tiramisu was perfectly fine. though the kitchen smelled of coffee grounds.
"It's all my fault." Zeno mumbled.
"Zeno, none of what happened to Lily is your fault." Gunvolt assured.
"GV's right, it's not like we planned on fighting Demerzel yesterday, we only meant to rescue Mytyl." Moniqa agreed.
'It is my fault man, don't ya see? If I didn't say ta bring Lily so I could keep an eye on her she'd still be awake, she'd still be okay." Zeno denied.
"We were running a mission to rescue Mytyl, we didn't intend on anything else." Gunvolt rebuked.
"I could've let her hang back at the sanatorium, Copen said he wouldn't have minded. but I just wanted to make sure she'd be alright." Zeno protested.
"Look on the bright side, at least the tiramisu's done and alright." Moniqa added.
"It's not alright, nothing is alright!" Zeno ranted.
"Maybe we can use the power of the Muse to awaken her." Lumen suggested.
"That only works when someone dies though right?" Xiao pondered.
"Imagine if it could revive all of the deceased entirely." Moniqa rambled.
"I don't think it'll work on someone that's merely passed out." Gunvolt doubted.
"Well we don't know unless we try." Lumen rebuked.
