It looked and functioned similar to a Plasma Legion. The machine released a rocket dispenser from the top that dropped rockets onto the ground in 3 sections. The team easily avoided the attack.
A gun on the bottom of the machine shot at their feet. Since Gunvolt had his Flashfield, Copen could Bullit Dash and Atari had her Spiral Septima, no one was hurt. The machine placed a shield in front of Brigade which consisted of 3 purple hexagons. The machines right arm used a sword attack which everyone ducked under.
Brigade repeated the rocket attack, the shield + sword combo and the triple rockets before the second battle gauge was initiated. It appeared that Brigade was a big fan of the rockets and floor gun. Another gun was in the top right corner of the room shooting at the floor and going to the wall. Another rocket and sword attack was used before the final gauge was needed.
The machine exploded and Brigade jumped out, triple flipping forward and using his hands as support. The "Final Operation" attack was no joke either. Brigade ran forward with a curved sword and stopped when he reached the wall. He used that same method before jumping of the right wall and ceiling to land directly in front of Copen.
The process was repeated before Brigade was down for the count.
"The next area we need to visit is the Arctic Block." Copen stated.
"We can do that after a rest break." Zeno yawned.
Everyone at a strawberry shortcake flavored bar and went to sleep. The next day, they went to the Arctic Block. There was jagauars, green wheel robots, androids with flamethrowers, the green flying robots with rockets, along with a big robot that had a dispenser for blocks of metal on the front. It had tread tracks and a top part that would move to the front if tagged and try to shred the opponent.
In the first half of the facility, there was a monster that looked exactly like the monster that dispensed scrap blocks. However, instead of charging forward when tagged, it stayed still. It raised an arm covered in ice spikes acting as a shield. The robot would use the chute on the top of its head to release multiple scrap cubes while using a 3 more to knock down the uneven stacks.
It even had boosters underneath it. After defeating it and reaching the second area, they found two new enemies in the area. They were surprised to see a variant of the shield enemy with red spikes instead of a shield. When attacked or in the presence of one of the group, the shield would vanish as the mech shot an orb.
The other mech reminded the group of Brigade. It was a big tank with a small drone inside, both of which attacked. When they reached the last area, they were greeted by the sight of that blocks Gravekeeper. She was wearing ice skates, a cape and a crown.
"Could you keep it down? Some people are trying to sleep." Hail remarked.
"I take it you're the Gravekeeper of this block?" Copen supposed.
"Yeah, I guess you could say that." Hail areed.
Hail's first attack was generating what looked like 3 purple snowflakes. They were dodged after they were released. Leaping into the air, Hail spun midair and threw three snowflakes landing at equal distances which created mini icebergs. She reattempted throwing snowflakes which injured no one.
Atari lost her lock on the target and needed to re-engage. That's when Hail jumped down from the air atop a sword blade, acting as the handle. This time, Atari got a cut on the palm of her right hand. That was when Hail made the mini icebergs.
The second try of the sword attack knocked Atari on her back. After Zeno picked Atari up, Hail threw the three snowflakes which almost hit the two. Copen used Blazing Ballista to stop it. Gunvolt in that moment initiated Hail's second HP gauge.
Another try at firing the snowlakes was made but nobody was hurt. While Atari was staring in fascination at the newly formed ice, Hail used her sword to slice it. A giant hill of ice were created on one side of the room which Hail kicked. More realistic looking snowflakes spawned in the air, releasing one fake snowlake each.
The three snowflakes generated ice once they touched the round. Hail released four snowlakes in the hopes of freezing all of them. That's when Hail reached her final health meter and activated her Special Skill: Frigid Stasis. It launched snowballs in a reversed semisphere.
Hail was completely invulnerable to any and all attacks. Even Twin Shredder was useless. She used the fake snowflakes in the air but they didn't hurt anyone. Using the snowflakes again and creating two glaciers on the sides of the room exhausted Hail; causing her to drop to the ground.
Thinking a trio of spinning snowflakes would assure her a satisfying win, Hail used that offensive tactic. Feeling whimsical thinking she would win, Hail spun in the air and created four ice spike clusters, followed by a sword that sent waves of snow to both sides. Another ice mound was in the process of being created when Hail was defeated. Ater obtaining the next part of the password, Copen was satisfied and they all let.
The first aid kit was used as Zeno unwrapped Atari's old bandages on her knee. She didn't have any problems with the process since she had been through it before.
"I'm cold." Atari complained as she sat on the couch with her arms folded.
There was only two blankets since there was an employee for day shift and usually another for night shift. The blankets were long so not even the tallest soldier would be exposed to the effects of frostbite. Regardless, Atari was still cold. That's why Zeno gradually moved closer until he could put his right arm around Atari's shoulders comfortably.
Atari was a little startled at first by the sudden feeling of something other than a blanket near her. When she realized who it was though, she calmed down. Eventually, Atari yawned and put her head on Zeno's right shoulder. They slept after eating a cheesecake flavored energy bar.
The next morning, everyone yawned and stretched, preparing for the treacherous traveling ahead.
"The last piece of the password is in the Space Block." Copen informed.
