"Lily, don't worry! We're gonna get you out! You may wanna stand back!" Zeno hollered.
"There's nothing that can destroy that air lock door Zeno. You can damage it but you can't entirely destroy it." Copen refuted.
"Can't ya'll do the same thing ya did earlier? Y'know, the teleportation trick?" Zeno pondered.
"The weapon gauge is fully charged." Copen stated.
"I'll get her." Zeno informed.
Copen and Gunvolt opened the portal so Zeno could retrieve Atari.
"Yo, I'm still here." Zeno remarked.
The three turned off the portal and turned around to see the angry Italian ex member of QUILL standing behind them with his arms crossed.
"I don't understand, why are you still here? We opened the portal." Gunvolt droned.
Zeno pointed behind himself. Ater moving to the left everyone noticed the other end of the portal.
"That must be a Septima proof room. I heard a rumor going around that they were working on using Septima inhibiting technology in buildings so they could prevent someone from instigating a fight." Copen notified.
"Zeno, why did nothing wake Lily up? You banged and yelled to her but we didn't get a response." Gunvolt wondered.
"They must've drugged her so they wouldn't have to worry about her fighting or running off." Copen guessed.
"Well we can't just leave her here!" Zeno shouted.
"If you don't keep your voice down then the only things that'll leave is our souls from our bodies." Copen huffed.
Truth be told, the room wasn't Septima proof. But, it did weaken Atari's hopes of escaping. Not to mention the room was soundproof.
"How do we get to her then?" Zeno worried.
"There's a possible way to get her. If we use the Magnetic Arts EX Weapon, maybe we can rip the door off its hinges." Copen theorized.
Activating his Magnetic Menace EX Weapon, Copen launched a magnetic black orb from the center of his shield. It began to send a wave of magnetic energy towards the door in order to rip it off its hinges. Unfortunately, the bottom third of the door was the only part lifted.
"Why don't you try moving it up? That way we can lift the door up a little higher." Gunvolt recommended.
Copen moved the orb up which lifted the door by two thids. It was jammed and could't go up the entire way since the bottom of the door was curved outwards. Zeno ducked under the door and retrieved the unconscious Atari, scooping her into his arms. He began to walk out, but stopped as he felt Atari shifting. Her right ear was next to his heart. If he said he didn't like her at that moment, he would've been lying. The blush on his face would've betrayed him. He had to recompose himself before going back to his friends.
"What took you so long?" Copen queried.
"Didn't wanna hurt her." Zeno answered.
Her eyes fluttered open. Atari went to scream but as she did, Zeno covered her mouth. After identifying who it was holding her, Atari calmed down.
"Just go back to sleep, we'll be home soon." Zeno hushed.
Atari nodded off. When they got home, the first thing Zeno did was tuck Atari in. He went back to sleep right after. Copen was talking with Nori, Mytl and Lola telling them about what happened while Gunvolt and Lumen shared what they discovered with Joule. Everyone slept well for the rest of the night. The following morning, Copen came to a conclusion.
"So, that's how they did it. Looks like the Sumerai's hoping to continue their Adept research after that failed project recently." Copen noticed.
After calling a group meeting, Copen revealed the information he uncovered.
"So, basically GV's at risk for being exposed again?" Zeno remarked.
"He's not the only one apparently. You'll be at risk for experimentation and Septimal abuse." Copen denied.
"How are we gonna hide from them again? They have info on us." Zeno worried.
"There's no need to concern yourself with that. They think you're dead. We may have to put QUILL back in action." Copen rambled.
"So, we'll be okay, that's a relief." Gunvolt sighed.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that if I were you." Copen rebuked.
Suddenly, Copen pulled up another screen which showed five incoming heat signatures of a large scale.
"Are those missiles!? This won't be good." Gunvolt groaned.
"We're going to take out the missiles right boss?" Lola questioned.
"We all will, and we'll need Atari too. Besides, it'd be best if we kept an eye on her." Copen confirmed.
Mytyl and Atari were goofing off so she wouldn't hear.
"Maybe I shouldn't tell her, can't have her worrying." Zeno muttered.
"That'd be the best course of action right now. There's more important matters that need our attention anyways." Copen agreed.
Zeno went upstairs and knocked on the door. Mytyl opened the door. Atari was sitting at the foot of the bed.
"Hey, do you mind if I borrow her for a bit?" Zeno asked.
Mytyl gave him the same look she reserved for leafy greens, particularly broccoli.
"Look, I'm sorry Mytyl, I really am. But something came up and we need Lily's help to take care of it." Zeno explained.
"You're a liar! You just want to keep Atari all to yourself!" Mytyl ranted before slamming the door in Zeno's face.
"Well, can't say I didn't try." Zeno rambled as he walked downstairs.
Copen looked in curiosity at Zeno as he turned to adjust his field of vision.
"Did we miss something?" Gunvolt questioned.
"Mytyl refuses to let Lily go." Zeno answered.
"I'll see what I can do about it." Copen supposed as he went upstairs.
