He knocked on the door and was greeted by his sister.
"Hey bro, what's up?" Mytyl smiled.
"Atari needs to go on that mission. There's five missiles we need to take down before they get the chance to detonate. The more people, the quicker we get the mission done." Copen replied.
Mytyl shut the door, locked it, scrambled ontot he bed and clung to Atari's waist. Worried something was wrong, Atari hid under Mytyl's vaity desk, making sure to grab Mytyl as well. Copen banged on the door.
Mytyl, Mytyl open this door right now! That's an order! Mytyl!" Copen shouted.
Zeno walked upstairs to see what the commotion was about. Copen looked at Zeno and shook his head.
"No dice." Copen commented.
"Rats, how are we gonna finish that mission now? The more time we waste, the closer those missiles get to wiping us out!" Zeno exclaimed.
While they weren't looking, Mytyl shoved Atari out of the room.
"So, when are we going to go?" Atari queried.
Copen and Zeno were startled at the sudden sound of her voice.
"Right now. Xiao, Nori and Moniqa will do recon here." Copen notified before they left.
They used the new Lazy Teleportation trick, as the name was decided almost unanimously even though Zeno disagreed. Everyone was safely teleported to the fist missile.
"Thank goodness my coordinates were spot on." Moniqa beamed.
"Honestly, outside of an emergency situation, I would rather not do that ever again. It was really nerve wracking..." Gunvolt panted.
Just then, a silver pointed torpedo with its rider wearing a bird themed helmet and yellow highlighted armor came up on the left of the missile. Four more followed as they approached a giant robot with a yellow color shceme, shoulders, a slanted nose, a gun as its left hand and a shield for the other. Booster flames were in the way of furthering their progress.
"How are we supposed to stop the missile now?" Zeno huffed.
"This looks like a way in." Lumen noticed as she floated near the hole that would lead to the interior of the ballistic missile.
Surprisingly, but somewhat not, there was enemies there too. One looked like a screwdriver handle that would flatten itself and released red laser orbs while the other enemy had the same armor as the first one and had rocket launchers on his arms. The group soon found something peculiar. A 3-pointed object, emitting green light in a giant sphere.
"What is that?" Atari wondered.
"That seems to be the device that's generating the "forcefield" I mentioned earlier. I analyzed it, and, as far as I can tell, that missile... contains no nuclear or incendiary payload! It's seemingly designed to expand the force field from that device to damage its target!" Moniqa elucidated.
"Meaning that if we destroy it, the missile should be neutralized!" Lumen cheered.
"Looks like it. Let's get to it!" Gunvolt added.
Three tags was all it took to wipe out the device.
"The device is no longer operational! Now hurry to the next missile!" Moniqa spoke.
As the others ran on the first section of the second missile, an alarm popped up and began laring.
"Looks like the boosters are unlocked! Hurry up before they completely detach!" Moniqa warned.
After getting safely to the other side, another alarm rang.
"The boosters are detaching one after the other! You really need to hury up!" Moniqa yelled.
Jumping down into the missile, they spotted the forcefield generator.
"Alright! We found the field generator!" Lumen smiled.
Two more destroyed missiles later and they inally reached the last missile.
"You came all the way here to welcome us? My, this is such an honor." A male voice spoke.
"Who's there?" Copen interrogated.
An incredibly bright light illuminated the surrounding skies. The light came from above the missile. Everyone looked up to see a young possibly late teenager male with tanned skin, green eyes and long red hair wrapped up in the back with some long strands loose with green ends. He wore a mostly black coat decorated with golden adornments, a white suit underneath with a turquoise jewel near his neck and feathered earrings.
The mysterious stranger also had a pair of loose black pants, tied up with red wrappings working as a belt, along with a pair of boots with a golden section around the ankles. Alongside him was a girl of 4'3 with pale skin, light blonde hair, and red eyes with light-colored crescent moon shapes in her pupils. Uniquely, her eyelashes were the same blonde color as her hair. She is seen wearing a black rabbit-eared hoodie with white and orange patterns, with the sleeves being much longer than her arms, and a smaller, yellow vest and shorts underneath.
Attached to her hoodie is a brooch with three golden feathers. There was a fiery ball of light.
"Is this all of your doing?" Cope questioned.
"My Septima is rather impressive isn't it? Pleased to make your acquaintance. I am Zed, leader of ATEMS." Zed introduced.
"ATEMS? Is that the name o your organization?" Copen queried.
"Correct. I believe you are part of QUILL's last Japanese members, was it? Thanks to one of our members Septima, our "Djinn" was able to track your activities." Zed stated as another girl appeared near the blond haired girl with the purple bunny ears.
She resembled a young adult version of the girl with light brown skin and a patch of red hair on her forehead. She wore a costume with purple, mauve, yellow and gold highlights with two white strips running from her torso to stopping just over her feet, a long blue-and-pink "veil" falling down from the back of her head, a gold, purple and white headpiece resembling rabbit ears complete with earrings, and ornate gold high heels. And the second girl seemingly poofed into existence before evaporating into thin air.
