Since it was just the two of them, Zeno got Atari a titanium rainbow utensil set.
"From what I heard it sounded like he wanted to quit." Atari added.
"Yeah, the boss got that file on him." Zeno agreed.
Atari blew on a spoonful of grits and egg to cool it down. She was really happy with the food. Going to the bookstore was fun, until they were outside. Atari's face turned pale and her legs began to shake. Zeno looked in the same direction and understood the reason for Atari's reaction.
"Come on, let's go." Zeno whispered as he dragged Atari into the store.
Zed was across the steet sitting with Layla who was looking at birds on a park bench. Relieved, the disaster fearing duo took a breather and looked through the books.
"Didn't she say she'd do paperback first?" Zeno asked.
Atari just shrugged her shoulders; she didn't know what cover material Mytyl decided on. After asking the store owner - a sweet woman in her 20's with brown eyes, brown hair, a maroon/magenta cardigan, brown pants and black high heels with glasses attached to gold strings- who pointed them to the childen's section where the paperbacks were. They were surprised to find she used a pen name of "Cyber Diva".
"Hopefully the Sumeragi won't find out about this." Zeno commented.
"It's twenty one nintey one yen. That's a lot for a book." Atari added.
"I've got twenty five hundred yen saved up so that'd be enough for the book and a soda or candy." Zeno notified.
Atari looked at books at the right end of the shelf in the middle aisle near the back of the store. After looking outside, Atari ducked under the glass, legs legs folded underneath her. Thinking it would secure her safety, Atari also put her hands over her head as she looked out the window. Feeling as if death was walking by and would use its scythe on her if she was seen. Grabbing the book and receipt, Zeno walked back to where Atari was. Seeing what she saw, Zeno hid behind the part of the shelf nearest the glass. When the threat was a safe distance away, Zeno gestured for Atari to get up.
"I don't understand, why is he out and about acting like he totally didn't use missiles to enter the country recently?" Zeno pondered.
Looking next to him, Zeno didn't see Atari. When he looked down after feeling something next to his right foot, Zeno found Atari.
"I'm gonna report it to Mr. Shino when we get back." Zeno informed as he and Atari walked out of the store.
Upon getting home, Zeno took out his phone and called Mr. Shino. Atari sat to the left of Zeno wo was sitting on the right side of the couch. Atari was curled up into a ball reading the book.
"Mr. Shino, I'm 'fraid I've got some bad news to report." Zeno stated.
"I take it has something to do with the missiles Gunvolt reported to me about yesterday?" Mr. Shino theorized.
"Yes sir it does. You see, the person who planed the attack, we saw him near the book store in Keyaki-Cho. He was with a girl." Zeno confirmed.
"Interesting, can you tell me what this girl looks like? She may work with him." Mr. Shino wondered.
"She had blond hair bob style, red eyes, a short purple dress with really long sleeves and a bunny eared hoodie, a necklace with three feathers on it and gold ankle boots." Zeno notified.
"Where are you now?" Mr. Shino asked.
"At my place with Lily." Zeno responded.
"Is she okay? The Sumeragi apparently replaced Nova with Corvette and we can't risk either of you getting in trouble with them or ATEMS right now." Mr. Shino reminded.
"They drugged her with anesthetic and locked her in S-FIT's basement." Zeno explained.
"I see, well then, I'll add this to the report. Send Atari my greetins and be careful." Mr. Shino added as he ended the call.
Placing his phone in his pocket, Zeno looked at Atari. It looked more like she was trying to distract herself rather than enjoy the book.
"Ay, you okay? Ya know if you've got any problems you can always talk tome about it right?" Zeno assured.
"W-what do you think that guy's here f-for?" Atari inqueried frightfully.
"I dunno, it's gotta be important though considering his method of entry." Zeno commented.
Shaking off the thought, Zeno decided to hold the book for Atari who perched her head on his left shoulder while they both read. They may have enjoyed their time together a bit too much though.
"It's already one thirthy? Dang, time flew by- w-went by, that's what I meant, yeah, that was it." Zeno remarked.
Neither of them wanted to remember the missile mission and were doing their best to avoid it. Gunvolt had spent 45 minutes writing the report he sent to Mr. Shino.
"Are your arms sore? You should rest them." Joule worried.
"I'm fine, just curious why, wait, I think I get it now." Gunvolt realized.
"You get what now-oh, I kow what you're talking about. But I just don't get the significance of it." Lumen commented.
"Hey, what is it you two are talking about?" Joule huffed.
"There was this statement that Jota made, or was it Tenjian, maybe both? Anyways, one of them said that Lily was the key to their cause. If that was the Sumeragi, then we'll really have to watch out for her." Gunvolt elaborated.
Deciding it would be a good idea or her to get some fresh air, Zeno went and showed Atari a place that served "crazy good ramen" in his opinion. Zeno got the Tonkotsu ramen while Atari got the roast beef ramen with a slice of roast beef.
