Chapter 5: Melemele Retaliation
[Well, it has been a while. Sorry for the wait. Been finishing up some personal business as well as working on some other fanfiction progress. Anyway, I hope y'all remember the Team Skull Trio from the Anime. Enjoy Note: I do not own Pokémon or the songs used in this story. All rights to it's actual owners.]
(On a ferry heading towards Hau'oli City, Melemele Island, two days later)
"Never thought this would be how I would visit this island. Though I never expected to come to this island to begin with." Warren stated, talking to Azalea who was now disguised as a shiny Rockruff on his shoulder. Warren was now wearing an all black hoodie with the hood on and white basketball shorts with three black stripes on the sides. He still had on his regular sneakers though and also had a black duffle bag on his back. Right now, the two partners were on their way to Melemele island. They're doing this because yesterday, the team managed to track down the attackers from the bar, who escaped after losing to Guzma. They found out their location after Okazaki pickpocketed Sander's wallet back at the club. It had his ID in it which had his address on it. The address also had a bit of cash in it, which is being used for the ferry ticket, and a picture of him and some dark skin girl with green hair smiling and sitting on top of a red convertible. Plumeria got in contact with the main Team Skull grunts on the island in order to find out info on if the guy and his gang was there. The Melemele crew quickly found him and saw how attached he was to that car. With the confirmation, Warren immediately headed out to the island, making sure to disguise himself and Azalea as to not draw attention to themselves to the best of their abilities. The ferry soon made its way into port and its occupants filed out of it. Warren followed the crowd for a bit before turning into a random alley. He walked through the alleyway before it opened into a small residential area. He walked past a few houses before stopping at one in particular that had a few motorbikes parked in front of it. He knocked on the door and waited for an answer.
"Password. Gotta make sure you ain't a narc." A muffled voice said from behind the door, causing Warren to groan and Azalea to laugh a bit.
"Come on Tupp, open the door. We don't got time for this." Warren said, a bit annoyed as he banged on the door.
"Alright, alright, jeez." Tupp said as the door unlocked and opened. "Always so damn serious."
"Someone here has to be." Warren said before the two of them smiled and fist pounded. They then made their way into the house and Warren shut the door behind him, taking off his hoodie afterward. "Where's your siblings?"
"WARREN!!" A voice yelled from up the stairs of the house.
"Oh no…" Was all Warren got out before Azalea leaped off of his shoulder before Warren got tackled in the side to the ground. He let out a groan before looking down at the pink haired girl now hugging and straddling him. "Do you really have to do that Rapp?"
"Of course, I gotta show you how much I missed you~" Rapp cooed while nuzzling into my chest. She then lifted her head off my chest and got dangerously close to my face. "So you finally here to ask me out?"
"Rapp!" Warren and Tupp yelled.
"What?" She responded while sitting herself up.
"You know why I'm here so could you please get off of me. This isn't exactly comfortable." Warren stated.
"Oh come on, when was the last time you had a girl on top of you like this. Oh~, in fact, I think one part of you knows what it wan-"
"Okay! You're off now." Tupp said while grabbing Rapp under her armpits and lifting her up, causing her to pout and whine. "And YOU better not be thinking of trying anything while you're here."
"Have I tried anything before? I told you I don't want your sister." Warren said bluntly, fighting off the blush that had cropped up onto his face and turning around to make sure he 'calmed down' before they got a look. Azalea was still in front of him though and got a good snicker out of the situation, earning a glare from her trainer.
"OMG!!!" Rapp yelled getting out of Tupps hold before sliding to the floor to grab Azalea. Failing to get away in time, Azalea was soon being hugged and smothered by the touchy Team Skull grunt, causing her illusion to fall. Azalea let out a whine while looking up at her trainer for help, only to see him stick out his tongue at her and look away, pretending not to see what was happening. Azalea glared at him and pouted, knowing that she would remember this. "Glad at least this cutie missed me."
"The girls are always going after the cute Pokemon…" Tupp grumbled to himself before speaking to Warren. "Aren't you gonna help her?
"Nah, I'm sure she's loving the attention." Warren joked with a smile directed at Azalea. Azalea only growled in response before being smothered again. Warren then noticed someone missing. "Where's Zipp?"
As he asked this, the sound of a motor was heard outside, stopping in front of the house before the sound ceased.
"Perfect timing." Tupp said as everyone turned their attention to the front door as it began to open.
"Guys, the car is still-oh, hey Warren." Zipp greeted.
"Sup dude." Warren said. He then noticed that everyone was out of their normal Team Skull outfits and were in regular black clothes with hats and white masks that covered their distinctive features. "I'm glad to see that you all took my advice to change out of your Team Skull shit"
"I still don't see why? Just more work for us." Tupp complained with crossed arms and an annoyed look on his masked face.
"It's so no one knows that it's us pulling this shit. I mean, you guys talk shit, but no one believes that y'all would pull what we're about to pull." Warren said bluntly, causing Azalea to laugh a little.
"Hey!" Tupp and Rapp yelled offended.
"He's not wrong though…" Zipp said dishearteningly, hanging his head low in sadness. After a few minutes of Tupp and Rapp angrily staring at Warren, the two also followed suit and hung their heads in sadness.
"We know…" Tupp and Rapp said in the same disheartened tone.
"This is a good thing guys. Team Skull is underestimated by everyone which means we can hit hard without them being prepared for it. That'll show those fuckers that we give what we get." Warren stated.
"Wow…you still sound like a damn protagonist." Tupp joked, getting his siblings and Azalea to laugh a little at Warren's expense, still not enjoying the joke that has been within their friend groups for years since they met. "Still don't get why we couldn't just go as the Team Skull grunts we are."
"It's so we don't get caught and arrested for vandalism, maybe worse, especially with how well known you three are around here." Warren stated, seeing the three tense up at the mention of being arrested, before turning back to Zipp. "I'm guessing you were out scoping out the house."
"Yep, the house is empty and the car is there. We saw Sander there yesterday and he's now out to school." Zipp explained.
"And of course he goes to the same school as those goodie goodies." Tupp said, annoyed, earning a groan from his two siblings.
"Who?" Warren said in confusion.
"Oh right, we never told you about them. Well you see…" Rapp said as she was about to start explaining something.
"Hold that thought, you can tell me later. Right now," Warren stated while grabbing a separate bag that was in his travel bag. Azalea also climbed onto his shoulder and changed back into her Rockruff disguise. "We got work to do."
"You sound like a damn protagonist bro." Tupp deadpanned, causing his siblings to laugh. Warren only rolled his eyes and grinned as they soon made their way outside and the Melemele crew's bikes. Due to there only being three bikes, Warren was forced to hang on to the back of Tupp's bike as they sped off in the direction of Sander's house. After about several minutes of driving, the crew was now a few blocks away from Sander's house.
"Yo, stop here Tupp!" Warren yelled, tapping Tupp's shoulder. Once the crew came to a stop, the Melemele crew shot questioning looks towards their friend. "We're walking from here."
"Huh? Why? His place is just down there." Rapp complained while motioning down the block.
"Less of a chance that we'll be noticed. I'm sure the neighbors will be questioning why a couple of teens are driving down their street on a school day. Plus, they might recognize your bikes." Warren stated.
"You…thought about this way too much." Tupp stated as he and the rest of the siblings parked their bikes on the sidewalk next to the street.
"It's mostly Plumeria's planning. Like I said, I don't want to get in trouble and get arrested." Warren stated. After the siblings secure their bikes, Tupp grabbing a bag off of his, Warren turns to Zipp. "Hey Zipp, is there any way of getting there that doesn't involve the main road?"
"Oh definitely, this neighborhood has small alleys that cut between the houses. It's what I used to sneak up to the dude's house the other times." Zipp stated before taking the lead into a nearby alleyway. "This way."
With Zipp leading the way, the gang began cutting through the alleyways between the houses, being as quiet and quick as possible as to not draw attention to themselves.
"Being this quiet is weird man. Not my style." Tupp whispered, feeling a little on edge.
"You just gotta deal with it dude. You can be your loudmouth self once this is done." Warren stated.
"I don't know, it's kind of peaceful with Tupp finally keeping his mouth shut." Rapp snickered.
"What was that..?" Tupp said threateningly, stopping and turning back to glare at his sister who was following behind. No one took the threatening tone seriously though, with everyone there giving a silent snicker. It was then that Warren stopped and turned to see Tupp and Rapp had stopped.
"Hold on, Zipp." Warren commanded quietly, making the youngest sibling stop. Warren then silently motioned the other two to keep moving. Rapp, upon seeing Warren calling them, gave Tupp a teasing wink before running past him to catch up with the rest of the group. Tupp growled a little but ultimately let it go as he caught up to the group as well.
After a few more minutes, the group took one more turn before Zipp had stopped, stopping the rest of them as well.
"What's up?" Warren questioned.
"His house is just around this corner." Zipp explained.
"Gotchu. Alright girl." Warren said, bringing his attention to the disguised Zoroa. "You're up. Go scout ahead and see if the coast is clear. Change forms too."
Azalea gave a quick nod before jumping off my shoulder, quickly changing into a new form. She transformed into a shiny Alolan Rattata. Opting to stay on all fours, Azalea quickly scurried down the alley towards the opening. She peeked outside before striding out to get a better look. She began to play the part as she ran around the street, sniffing the ground every now and then and just pretending like she was supposed to be there. Upon seeing the coast was clear, she ran back to the alley entrance where the gang was waiting. She gave a thumbs up to them and they quickly made their way to the small street. As soon as they exited, they all looked to their left and found what they were looking for.
"Bingo." Warren said confidently with a smirk. Before them was the red car that was shown in the picture, though it looked much more expensive up close.
"This is such a dope car. Need to get someone who's got this." Rapp cooed with sparkles in her eyes.
"Would be a shame if something happened to it." Tupp snickered evilly.
"So what do we do?" Zipp asked Warren.
"You two are gonna watch both sides of the street and warn us if there's people coming." Warren said while pointing to Rapp and Zipp. Warren then turned his attention to Tupp. "You're helping me wreck his shit."
"Awesome." Tupp said excitedly.
"Lucky, how come I get stuck with guard duty?" Rapp complained.
"We need the lookouts to make sure we don't get got. We also have to get this done quickly and Tupp is good at making a mess." Warren said before reaching into the bag he was carrying and pulled out two pairs of gloves, handing one to Tupp. "Put these on first though. And you two get into position."
"Fiiine…" Rapp moaned in annoyance before she and Zipp made their way to opposite ends of the street. Warren and Tupp had also finished putting on their gloves before Warren pulled out a green spray paint can, a gift from Thomas who pressed Warren on getting it back to him when he got back, and tossed it to Tupp.
"We really doing some hardcore shit huh?" Tupp said excitedly as he caught the can and examined it.
"To an extent, yeah. Keep it cool bro." Warren said to Tupp but also to himself. While he was no stranger to crime and getting in trouble, this posed a bigger risk for him and everyone involved.
No pressure…
"So…what do you want me to do with this?" Tupp asked, shaking the spray can.
"Tag the house wall with laughing and the word 'Joker.'" Warren explained, shaking another spray can, this on black, that he brought and stood in front of the hood of the car.
"Uh, why?" Tupp asked, confused.
"It's a 'he'll understand it but no one else will' type of thing. I'll explain later. Just do it." Warren ordered. "And no Skull symbols or callouts, got it?"
"Alright alright. Jeez, I'm not dumb." Tupp agreed before he began spraying the house wall. Warren then quickly got to work doing the same to the car. Quickly, both the car and wall were covered in "HA's" while the wall also sported a "Joker Was Here!" line, getting a laugh out of the disguised Zorua.
"Seriously?" Warren deadpanned, motioning Tupp to quickly give back the can.
"What? I thought this is what you wanted to go for." Was all Tupp said as he handed it back to him. Warren quickly put the cans back into the bag before pulling out a metal pipe and bar, random things that he found at the Shady House, and passed one of them to Tupp. "Hell yeah, now we're getting into the real shit!"
"Keep it down and let's get to it." Warren scolded quickly before moving to the side of the car, pipe at the ready. If it wasn't for the gloves, the pipe would have probably slipped out of his hands thanks to his nervous sweat. With a tightened grip on the pipe, he spoke up again. "You ready for this?"
"Born ready." Tupp said eagerly, holding the pipe in both hands.
"Alright…wreak it." Warren said darkly before raising the pipe above his head and bringing it down on the windshield, cracking it instantly. Tupp the same on the other side, Warren's swing weakened it enough for the windshield to smash open.
"Fuck yeah!" Tupp yelled, moving to the side windows.
"Focus dude." Warren snapped, pulling out the spray can again and going up to his side windows. He also glanced down to spot Azalea helping as well, using one claw to puncture the tire below me and then dragging it along, ripping it open and tilting the car a bit. Warren got back to work upon hearing another window shatter on Tupp's side. Warren went up to the next window on his side and sprayed the phrase "Never Fuck With Us Again!" down the window and door. Warren then moved back up to the hood and lifted it up. "Dude, help me with this."
"Hold on, almost done." Tupp said before the rear window he was hitting shattered. He then quickly got to Warren's side at the front. "What's up?"
"Help me break this thing off and shove it through the front window." Warren stated, causing him to grin under his mask.
"So fucking hardcore." Tupp whispered excitedly while grabbing one side of the open hood, Warren grabbing the other. The two began to roughly rock the hood back and forth, causing serious strain to it. Soon, the strain proved to be too much and the hood snapped off into their hands. They immediately plunged the detached hood straight into the opened windshield, breaking off a few remaining shards still attached and stabbing into the interior, cutting up the front seats. "Fuck yeah!"
"Hey! What's going on out there!?" A voice yelled out, causing the duo to freeze. It was an old man looking outside his house's window, he didn't have the best eyesight even with his thick glasses nor was he the most mobile, slowly making his way to the do to investigate. Warren didn't bother looking back at whoever yelled and regained his composure. It was also then that the car alarm went off.
"Let's go." He whispered to Tupp, breaking him out of his thoughts with a push to the back. Warren then wordlessly got the attention of the two lookouts, rapidly flailing his arms to get their attention. When they heard the alarm and saw him, they ran back towards the two before Warren motioned them down the alley they ran through. The Melemele crew ran in first, Warren making sure they were out of sight first and securing the gear and Azalea, who quickly hopped onto his shoulder, before following after the trio, barely avoiding the old man who finally made it out of his house. They wordlessly ran back to where they parked their bikes. When they got there, Warren spoke. "Alright guys. Sweaters and masks off. We'll also be splitting up here and meeting back at the house."
"But shouldn't we be together in case something bad happens?" Zipp asked.
"We're less likely to draw attention if we split up. If the cops were called, they'd be looking for a group like us. Also make sure to avoid sirens if you hear anything" Warren stated, heading over to the back of Tupp's bike again.
"Well, you heard the protagonist." Rapp joked, to his annoyance. She then revved up her bike before speeding off. "See you guys back at the house!"
"Stay safe guys." Zipp said before speeding off as well. When he did, Warren held onto the back of Tupp's bike.
"Let's move T." Warren ordered.
"Don't have to tell me twice." Tupp said before speeding off in a direction that the other two didn't go to.
(2 hours later)(Melemele crew's house)
The crew plus Warren now tried to calm themselves down whilst waiting back at their house, having changed back into their normal outfits. They all were able to safely make it back home, managing to avoid the few sirens that they heard on the way back. Even though they made it back, they were very much on edge after the whole ordeal. Zipp was upstairs in his shared room with Tupp, scrolling through the news to see if anything about what they did came up. Warren was laying on the couch, trying and failing to take a nap with Azalea laying on his chest. Rapp was sitting on the floor next to him, leaning on the couch whilst on her phone. She was scrolling through social media in hopes to distract herself. Tupp was sitting at a table in the kitchen next to the living room, head in his hand and his foot rapidly tapping. This soon got on the nerves of the only female there.
"Aaah, can you knock it off with that tapping Tupp! That shit's getting on my last nerve!" Rapp yelled, hopping up from her spot to turn and glare at her brother.
"My tapping is not that loud! Fuck you!" Tupp yelled back, turning to glare back at her. The noise started getting to the pair on the couch, both gaining strained, annoyed looks on their faces. Azalea even pressed her ears to her head to dampen the noise.
"You just don't notice it! I was being nice but now you got the nerve to start yelling!" Rapp yelled back, taking a stomp towards Tupp. It was also at this point that Azalea began to growl in annoyance, which Warren quickly took notice of.
"Nice!? You!? Ha that's rich! You're just as annoying!" Tupp stated.
"Ah ha! So you admit that you're being annoying right now!" Rapp smiled under her mask while pointing at him.
"Wha? That's not what I meant and you know it." Tupp yelled back, grinding his teeth under his mask while pointing back at Rapp.
"You both are being fucking annoying right now!" Warren yelled back, scaring the bickering siblings into shutting up. Upon seeing the reaction he got, Warren sighs before sitting up, moving Azalea to his lap and lightly petting her to calm her down. "Listen, we're all on edge, I get that, but yelling at each other is not going to help us right now. I need y'all to sit down and chill the fuck out. If you need to go somewhere else then do it but please fucking chill."
After a second of silence, the siblings finally calmed down before speaking again.
"How…are you so calm after all that?" Rapp asked.
"Yeah, you've done this before or something?" Tupp asked bluntly, causing Rapp to slap his arm. "Ow, what?"
"I'm just pretty good at putting up a front." Warren stated, laying back down. "I'm just as new to this as you are."
"Hey everyone!" Zipp yelled, running down the stairs from his room with his Garboder following behind. Everyone turned their attention to the youngest sibling, Warren quickly sitting back up, as Zipp caught his breath before speaking again. "Turn on the news! Quick!"
Tupp and Rapp quickly went for the remote on the table, only for them both to run into each other and fall onto said table causing the remote to fly into the air. Both Zipp and his Garboder tried to catch it but Garboder ended up tripping over and falling on top of Zipp, bringing them both to the floor as the remote flew over them. Azalea rolled her eyes before hopping onto a willing Warren's head and catching the remote midair in her mouth. She then fell right into Warren's waiting arms. Warren gave Azalea a thankful scratch behind her ear while taking the remote and clicking on the T.V. in the living room that was already turned to the news.
"-as you see behind me. This is a shocking display of destruction that rarely happens on Melemele and has the police stumped." On screen, a female reporter is turned towards the front of Samder's house which was covered in cops.
"Here we go." Warren said anxiously. The car was still totaled and was covered in police tape. Sander was also by his car on his car on his knees, slamming his fist onto the hood in anger. "Yep, that's the guy."
"Him? I knew that chump looked familiar." Tupp stated, annoyed and still under Rapp.
"You know him out here?" Warren asked, causing Tupp to scoff.
"There's not a single Team Skull member out here who doesn't know him and his goons. They go to the big Pokémon school on the island and their number one pastime is messing with us or any outcast kids." Tupp explained.
"He also tries to manhandle and 'mess with' a lot of the girls here. He hasn't been successful with me or the rest of the Team Skull girls…" Rapp explained before looking away from Warren while frowning. "That we know of anyway…"
"Son of a bitch." Warren cursed under his breath, Azalea growling a little, before turning his attention back to the news.
"Though I'm questioning why she's dating the guy." Tupp stated.
"Who?" Warren asked.
"Ms. Goodie Goodie with the green hair. The girl standing next to him." Rapp said, pointing to the tan skinned girl with long green hair in twin tails, wearing gray overalls cut into shorts, pink sleeveless T-Shirt, and green sneakers with a Bounsweet by her side. She was currently patting Sander's back in an attempt to comfort him.
"The girl in the photo? How can she be 'Ms. Goodie Goodie' if she's dating an asshole like him?" Warren questioned.
"Who knows, maybe she's into it." Zipp responded.
"Odd." Warren stated simply.
"It's honestly really shocking that someone would do something like this on our peaceful island, in our peaceful region! I can't think of anyone who would be so heartless as to do this to us, to our baby. What have we done?" The crew tuned back into the news to see that the reporter was now speaking to the adults of the household. The one who just spoke was Sander's mother, who was now sobbing into her husband's chest. Seeing the sight, Warren would have been lying if he said he didn't feel bad about what he did. Even though Sander deserved this in his mind for hurting Tiffany, Warren knew the rest of his family might not have deserved it. He didn't know them. This is why he never liked revenge, it got too messy. Warren frowns at the screen.
"Do you think that Team Skull could have done something like this to you? They do have a presence on the island and are known to mess with law-abiding citizens." The reporter asked, causing the grunts and their Pokémon to tense up. The father of the household scoffed at the statement.
"While those hoodlums are a nuisance, they don't have the guts to do something this bold, especially when those cowards are introduced to my Pokémon." The father stated while reaching onto his belt and pulling out an Ultra Ball. He tossed it into the air and it released his Magmorter, who blew an intimidating blast of smoke into the air.
"*pfft* My Pokémon can take that thing." Tupp gloated. He then noticed everyone in the room, including the Pokémon, giving him a skeptical look. "What?"
"Plus, those guys are showboats. They definitely would have done something stupid to out themselves. They're idiots with way more bark than bite." Sander said bluntly, walking in the sight of the camera and still looking pissed off, something that made Warren smirk a little.
"Hey!" The Melemele crew yelled. Warren was about to hush them but then saw Sander's expression.
"But no matter who they are or where they are…them and whatever Joker helped them will get what's coming to them, one way or another." Sander stated threateningly, glaring right at the camera. Warren felt the glare and glared right back at him with the same intensity.
"Man, this is making me uncomfortable." Zipp stated, shuddering a little. The other siblings voiced similar feelings.
"…Okay, well that seems to be all the information we have on the matter at this time. Hopefully we'll have more information on the matter in due time." The reporter explained, the cameraman's focus returning to just her. With that statement, the grunts let out a collective sigh of relief.
"I think we're in the clear." Rapp said happily.
"I saw who did it!" Yelled someone off camera. The cameraman turns his attention to an old man slowly waddling towards the news crew.
"Shit." Warren whispered, remembering that he did hear someone yell at them at the time. "Was it this guy?"
"You did? Excellent! Please tell us." The reporter said excitedly before pointing the microphone in the old man's direction when he finally got there. All the fears and nerves that left the grunts before quickly rushed back into them. At the same time, a younger, more timid officer came up to the crew.
"Sir, please don't. We've yet to confirm your…theory." The officer said a bit nervously, trying to get the old man to stop without touching him.
"Nope, it must be said now to bring these things to justice." The old man said. A few people did lock into what he specifically just said.
"Things?" Warren questioned, Azalea giving him a confused call.
"Could you repeat that sir? You said things? Not people?" The reporter asked.
"You're dang right I said things! I saw four big, black Pokémon destroying this young man's car. They must've been Bewears and they must be stopped!" The old man said fervently. Whilst the car's destruction could have been caused by a Pokémon, especially one like Bewear, there were still problems with the theory.
"But…what about the paint?" The girl, who was comforting Sander before, questioned while pointing back towards the painted wall.
"They did that too! Smart ones they are. Pokémon are really thinking nowadays." The old man said excitedly. There was a moment of silence with everyone, including the grunts. Everyone was trying to process the information before someone spoke up.
"Are you dumb and stupid?" Sander said bluntly, receiving a hard slap from the girl to his arm. "Ow, hey!"
"Sander, that's rude." The girl said sternly.
"Bounsweet!" The small, grass-type cried out in agreement with her trainer.
"What? This old man clearly doesn't know what he saw." Sander said before turning his attention to the old man. "Hey, your eyes okay!?"
"Sander!" The girl scolded but he just ignored her.
"My eyes are impeccable! It's rude to think otherwise, young man!" The old man stated before fixing up his glasses and squinting at Sander, taking a step toward him and causing Sander to take a step back: "You are a boy correct?"
"Arceus!" Sander yelled out exasperated, turning around and throwing his hands into the air. This got a sigh out of the girl and her Bounsweet while it got a snicker out of the grunts and their Pokémon.
"We will have more information once it comes up. Once it comes, we will relay it to the public. For now, we all must practice patience." Said an older, more confident cop who appeared on camera.
"We should get the kahuna involved! He can handle those angry Pokémon!" The old man stated proudly.
"Oh yes! Hala can definitely help! He's super strong!" The mother agreed.
"MY Pokémon can easily handle whatever destroyed my boy's car." The father boasted proudly.
"This is mainly a police matter but we will ask the kahuna for his input if it helps." The older cop stated to everyone.
"In the meantime, we will keep you updated on the matter. Stay tuned for more info when it comes!" The reporter said to the camera, smiling before the screen faded to black and the commercials began.
"So…are we in the clear?" Zipp asked, unsure after a moment of silence between everyone in the room. In that time, the Melemele crew finally got up from their fall.
"I'm not sure…" Warren answered thoughtfully. "Thanks to our rep, they're not thinking that it's us it seems. Hopefully it stays that way."
"I'll take it!" Rapp exclaimed with a stretch of her arms to the air and a relaxing sigh.
"We should still be careful. We don't know if we're good for sure." Warren explained but upon seeing Azalea hop off his lap and stretch out on the floor, Warren just sighs and leans his head back against the couch. "But I guess we can relax a little."
"Oh thank Arceus." Zipp sighed before turning to the stairs. "I'm going back upstairs to sleep."
"Right behind you little bro. This was way too much work." Rapp said, following Zipp and his Garbodor up the stairs to their rooms.
"*yawn* You said it." Zipp replied before they both disappeared up the stairs. It was just Warren, Tupp, and Azalea now in the living room. Warren began to think about what he should do to relax now, leaning towards either writing or sleeping like the others.
"Yo, this is your first time on Melemele right?" Tupp asked, breaking Warren's train of thought.
"Yeah, why?" Warren questioned.
"Let's go out and cause some trouble. I'll show ya my favorite spots to terrorize these normies." Tupp said with an evil smirk under his mask.
"Trouble is honestly the last thing we should be getting into." Warren deadpanned bluntly.
"Zorua!" Azalea cried out excitedly, however. Both teens turned to the Illusion Pokémon to see her wagging her tail and smiling at them, specifically at her trainer. Tupp smirked at this before going behind Azalea, picking her up, and bringing her right up to Warren, putting her smiling face right in front of him.
"Come on, you love your Pokémon right? How can you say no to a face like this?" Tupp said, bringing Azalea close to Warren's face. Azalea, in turn, presented a face with pleading eyes and a quivering lip. After a few seconds, Warren groaned in defeat.
"Don't think I don't know what you both are doing." Warren stated, pointing accusing at both of them.
"Well?" Tupp questioned.
"No trouble, but we can explore." Warren stated with an eye roll, earning a cheer from the blue haired grunt and Pokémon. Azalea had also wiggled out of Tupp's hold to walk on her own. Warren then pointed down at her. "Disguise on, girl."
With that said, Azalea pouted before quickly transforming into her shiny Rockruff disguise that she used on the ferry ride here. She then gave her trainer a look that said "Better?"
"Better." Warren stated simply before standing up and picking her up to place on his head.
"So why does she only transform into shinies? Is that her one trick?" Tupp asked bluntly, eyeing Azalea. Azalea responded with a glare down at him because of the perceived insult.
"She can transform into normal Pokemon too. My guess is it's easier to change into shinies." Warren explained before turning up to look at Azalea. "Sounds about right?"
Azalea nodded and gave a cry of confirmation.
"Had a feeling." Warren said before walking past Tupp towards the front door. "Now come on, this was your idea right?"
"Fuck yeah it was. Come on, we wastin' time." Tupp said, brushing against Warren as he opened the door and headed outside. Both Warren and Azalea rolled their eyes at him before following him outside to the front of the house. "Yo, take Rapp's bike, we're riding there."
"Say what? You know I never drove one of these right? It's also not really a good idea to trash your sis' shit." Warren stated as Tupp hopped on to his own bike and started it.
"Come on, it's easy. It's like riding a normal bike." Tupp said as he skillfully drove around Warren before stopping next to him.
"Never rode a bike before." Warren stated bluntly.
"Wow, that's depressing. Well there's a first time for everything bro. Now stop being a bitch and get on the bike. We got shit to do." Tupp complained, getting a laugh out of Azalea at the name calling.
"*groan* Fine, fuck it." Warren groaned, throwing his hands in the air in defeat before looking down at Rapp's bike in front of him. He soon climbed on and gripped the handlebars, feeling a bit stiff. After a minute of just awkwardly sitting on the bike in silence, with both Warren and Azalea looking down at the bike confused, Warren looked up at Tupp with a raised eyebrow.
"What's wrong?" Tupp asked obliviously, causing Warren to motion to the inactive bike in an exaggerated way. Tupp still looked confused, giving a questioning look before it suddenly came to him. "Oh shit, right, hit the middle button below the handlebars. Gotta hold it till it starts."
Warren looked back down at the bike and quickly noticed the button that was mentioned. He quickly pressed and held the button, the bike's motor soon starting up with a medium sound purr.
"Now what?" Warren asked, gripping the handlebars tightly.
"You've seen how motorcycles act. Rev that shit bro!" Tupp yelled out. Warren looked back down at the bike before revving the right handlebar hard, propelling the bike and Warren forward quickly, surprising both him and Azalea. Warren quickly hit the brakes, almost causing him to fling himself and his Pokémon off the bike if not for the strong grip Warren had on the bike and Azalea using her claws to stick to her trainer's head, not hard enough to really hurt though. The two also began to hear laughing behind them. Knowing full well who was laughing, both trainer and partner snapped their attention towards Tupp angrily. Their reactions only made Tupp laugh harder.
"Hey!" Someone yelled from the second floor of the crew's house, bringing everyone's attention up to the annoyed female leaning out the window, looking down at them without her hat and mask on. "Some people are trying to slee-…why are you on my bike?"
"It was his idea." Warren stated simply while pointing to Tupp.
"I'm teaching him to ride our bikes. Can't have him hanging onto the back of my bike while he's here, I got a rep to maintain." Tupp explained while pointing to himself.
"Ha, 'rep'" Rapp laughed, raising air quotes, causing Tupp to look at her feeling insulted and Warren to roll his eyes and smile at their antics. "Have fun then Warren, don't crash my bike!"
And with a last flirty wave at Warren, Rapp ducks back into the house and shuts the window.
"Anyway." Tupp said, bringing attention back to him. "Just rev it up less and you'll be aight."
"Right…" Warren said a bit hesitant before looking up at Azalea. "You sure you wanna hang out your ball while we ride? Could be dangerous."
Azalea thought for a second before nodding that she wanted to stay out.
"Alright, but you're coming down to my lap, and you better hang on." Warren stated as he grabbed Azalea and placed her on the bike in between him and the handlebars. After doing so, Tupp rode up next to him.
"Now that that's done, let's move." Tupp said with a grin before driving off, making sure not to speed off too far. With that, Warren took a deep breath before revving the bike again, this time with a lot less force. While slow and a bit unsteady, Warren soon made it to Tupp and the two began making their way into town.
[Again, sorry for the long wait. Be on the lookout for a special project I've been working on for a while, aptly titled "I Can't Believe I'm doing this." Not the actual title but just a good description. It should hopefully be a good announcement to all my longtime readers. Also, be sure to check out my other Pokemon stories and my Splatoon one-shot, my anthology story for my mystery dungeon story just got posted. Anyway, onto the outro
