Adrien's hands shook as he walked to the Dupain-Cheng bakery. "Adrien, do you want to give her petals or a bouquet?" Plagg asked from inside his shirt. Adrien stared down at his Kwami. "A bouquet of course. After all, this is for Fancy Bug!" he held his bouquet afloat, then lowered quickly.
"Then stop shaking like a petal in the wind, and get to that bakery! And I'm hungry!" Plagg disappeared. "A petal in the wind…" Adrien mused, then shook his head to clear it.
He approached the bakery door, then wanted to turn tail and run away. No, you march in there and give your girl some flowers! He caught a glimpse of Marinette in the window and his heart nearly leaped out his chest. Meow, was she cute!
But then, disaster! She caught sight of him, and he ducked, like a cat wanting to go to the vet. "Adrien, I can see you," Marinette opened the door and found Adrien in his "hiding" position. "Come on in, Fleabag." She took his hand and led him inside.
"I...um….for you?" Adrien stuttering, turning the color of a strawberry. "For me?" Marinette gasped, looking and checking the flowers. "Hey, what are you doing?" Adrien asked, once he'd gotten his composure back. "Checking for fleas. Their lovely."
"Your lovely, Princess. I, um, I'm a Fur Ball?" Ugh, what was coming out of his mouth? This was nastier then the hair ball he'd coughed up last week!
"I know what will loosen your tongue," Marinette grinned. "Kisses?" "No, a strawberry tart we can share! You stay there."
"Yes, Cockroach," he mumbled. When she came back, his smile was soft. "You know, with your pink streak and pink apron, you could be a Strawberry too."
"Oh, Adrien, your blushing too," she kissed him quickly then cut the tart between them. So, pink faced and blushing, the new couple enjoying their strawberry treat.
