Discussion – Plan of action
Caroline lets out a sigh of contentment on hearing his breath and slow beat of his heart. Then he said, "You do not hate me I take it" She responds immediately with a faint smile decorating her face, "You weren't the villain of my story Klaus" repeating the words from their earlier moment.
After a moment of content, she asks confused "How do you know I was also transported back in time? Did you plan this? If so, Klaus help me…." agitated with him that he somehow changed his death to make this happen purposefully.
Klaus answers her before she bursts some more colourful words "No love, this is the work of witches as an act to balance the nature. One of them, Ayanna our aunt Bennet witch came to me to explain all this and told me that you are also sent back to keep me in line" he finishes with mischief in his tone.
She relaxes and asks "Why did she spoke only to you and not me, If the same person sends both of us back. And what do you mean by to keep you in line?"
Klaus said "Relax love, I will answer your questions if you inform me where you are. So that we can have an in-person discussion on this"
She responds immediately stating the café near Whitmore and he is also staying in nearby hotel so that he could make a grand entrance to Mysticfalls. She rolls her eyes at that. He said he'll be here in few minutes and ended the call.
While she is waiting for him, she starts eating her burger and curly fries which was served now.
On the other hand, in the hotel room Klaus orders Greta and Maddox "Keep Alaric unconscious for few more hours. I'm going for a meeting. We will discuss further once I return" Then he vamps out and reaches the café his Caroline is in.
Klaus POV:
From outside I could see her munching the curly fries along with the burger. One fries after one bite of burger ever the perfectionist, eats perfectly.
I stride to reach her booth cutting the distance between us. She looks up and sees standing at her booth with half fry into her mouth and the other half between her fingers.
I chuckle at her, "Lovely view sweetheart, don't stop on my account"
She immediately pushes the remaining fries into her mouth and scoots further towards the wall. And reaches for the tissue simultaneously to wipe her mouth all indecent eating remains.
I sit beside her. She turns ever so slightly facing me, our knees brushed just a dash. We are facing each other for few more minutes with comfortable silence and contentment of being with each other.
My thoughts wander to the queen of my heart, which surprisingly I am sitting with her. Her heavenly features, light green-blue eyes staring at me; her golden hair framing her face with light shade of sun light; her cute button nose; her lips; her smooth buttery skin; her scent which currently fills my nostrils taking me to cloud nine.
How perfect she is to me, no one can hold candle for her in terms of beauty, brain, and strength. Everyone diminishes to dust in her presence according to him. I desperately want to touch her, to make sure this is not some kind of evil dream where his torturer conjures his love to psychologically bring him down.
I slowly raise my hand to bring it to her face; hold her jaw with and rubs her cheek with my thumb. She leans into my hand closes her eyes in ease. I lean into her and rests my forehead against hers. We both took each other breath in and stays for few minutes, seconds, or hours not sure.
Both of us pulled away after some time content enough to discuss about their current predicament. I noticed a note pad and pen in the table and asks, "What for this note pad, sweetheart?"
"Oh… it's nothing" she tries to hide what is written in there, but I saw her first objective as stop my death and the next is Kol's. I was super shocked to see that as her primary motive to change of events. I morphs my expression back to normal before she notices I saw that. She speaks as her hand covered the page, then flipping to an empty sheet.
"I am listing a few events from our timeline, which I was intended not to happen to avoid certain deaths and torcher sessions and all that" my heart tugs at that and my blood boils at rage to tear all the people from limb from limb who did that to his Caroline. My knuckles turning white at my fist, she places her hand over my fist and covers it. I saw her subtly shaking her head that now is not the time for that.
"Now that you are here and well informed, would you like to share the class on which Ayanna informed you about. So, we can move forward from there"
I took hold of her hand and covered it my other hand, "Ayanna said, with being more of originals and their sire lines dying the nature's balance is disrupted. The witches on the other side, used all their powers to send us back in time and stop it from being happening.
She also said that, even though my sire was disconnected from me while living. My sire line will also cease to exist in time after my death. Me being not there is like root being destroyed of a big old tree."
She thinks of it for a second and says, "So without you, there was no option of living for me either way. Is that why they sent me back?"
"No sweetheart, you are my mate. You have died immediately as I am. That is what she said and that is why you have also sent back along with me" I said and observed her reaction for being my mate. Initially I thought hiding this part of information from her but seeing her I couldn't help myself to hide or lie to her.
To my surprise, she hasn't reacted the way I expected her to be. Outraged for tagged as being my mate. Like reading my thoughts she says, "I'm not going to explode at you for being your mate, Klaus. We both know it is only matter of when not if in either of the timeline."
My heart fluttered at her statement and smile stretched at my face. Her being open and acceptable towards me on our relationship. "So, are you ready sweetheart? Shall we start." I asked.
"As I ever will be. According to my memory you are already in Alaric's body for tomorrow's decade dance. How are you still you?"
"Yes, I was going to body jump evening only love. My witches already secured Alaric's body and waiting for me in the hotel room."
"Okay then. Here is what I think we should do for now. You continue as per your initial planning and go into Alaric's body do your thing. We can do the some of the events as same and avoid blood sheds alone. What do you say?"
"I'm perfectly fine with that sweetheart. But before I do that, today I plan on waking my siblings. All of them."
"Good, I'm looking forward to getting to know each of them. I heard about Kol a lot in school. My daughter Josie speaks highly of him about the witchy things he knows about and teaches. I think Henry introduced the twins to your family once he was in video call with his uncles & aunts. Lizzie she is so fond of Rebekah, she practically worships her for her fashion statement and tastes in extravaganza" she says and notes in her book with head down. Trying to hide her tear threatening to spill.
I lifted her chin with my fingers and made her look at me "Don't worry sweetheart, we will get our children back here in this timeline too. Ayanna guaranteed that." She looks at me in shock and whispers ever so lightly with little hope "Is it true?"
I nod my head "Yes, I have also checked with her that even if I do not sleep with Hayley here in this timeline, Henry will be born. Our children (Henry/Lizzie/Josie) all of them are meant to be sweetheart. They will find us. We will raise them to be an extraordinary child which they are with lots and lots of love and acceptance without judgement, which either of us got from our parents"
Before I finish the sentence, she throws her arms at me to hug me and buries her head in my chest. I hugged her tightly to give whatever strength she requires for this and kissed her crown. After few sobs she reluctantly pulls away and apologised for ruining my shirt.
"No need love, you can do whatever you want with my shirt" I say and winked at her. She lightly slaps at my arm with light smile dancing in her face. I wiped her tears and kissed her forehead throwing my arms around her shoulder to be closer with her.
"So today this what we both are going to do. You're going to wake up your siblings and have chat with them. Decent chat Klaus, no more threatening or antagonising siblings. I am going to have a heart to heart with my mother about me being vampire and have make her understand me" she says warily of the talk with her mother.
"Everything will be fine sweetheart" I said and kissed her crown in the side by holding her near to give her comfort.
She looks up and smiles at me "Thanks Klaus. It means a lot" gives me in a small peck in the cheek. "You don't have to thank me for anything at all love."
"While you are in Alaric's body, we can talk in the school for any updates and can tell everyone that I have doubts in History. Once you are back in your body, if I have reconciled with my mother by the time, I will get you invitation to our house."
"Don't fret sweetheart, we can go one day at a time. Also, we can talk over phone in case of any changes we both not aware of. Once I woke up all my siblings, I will give you their numbers to contact in case of emergency. I will also secure our mansion here in the out skirts of Mysticfalls near the woods. Which is already built, you can decorate it to your hearts content love"
She looks up to me with full on Caroline smile and says, "You already planned on me staying there, isn't it?"
"You know me well sweetheart" I say and smile back at her.
"Okay, we better start and proceed we have long day ahead of us." she started collecting her things notepad & pen into the purse, cold coffee for go, "And one more thing, I do not want Elena's aunt Jenna to die in your ritual as Vampire. You should get some other criminal for that. For werewolf get Brady who is friends with Jules" she says with light evil glint in her eyes, a thirst for revenge.
"May I know what this Brady chop did to deserve your wrath love"
She pokes my nose with her index finger and says, "No, you may not know until after your ritual is over"
"Very well, works for me sweetheart. I want you to keep secret within us Caroline. Only we two must be aware of this piece of information" I say seriously, she nods at that. "Understood and good decision too" she acknowledges.
"For people asking how we met, we can say that we met here. I came here for escape of drama; you were already here reading my favourite The Notebook classic novel. So, I approached you then we two hit it off. What do you say?"
"Fine with me love" we both stood up at the same time. She got her cold coffee and bag; I paid the bill and stepped out of the café to part ways. I kissed her cheek and said "Until next time sweetheart"
I waited and watched till her car was out of sight. With heavy sigh I vamped out to the mansion's dungeon where I stored my siblings. Indeed, a long day awaits.
