Review
Death Fury: Thank you for the review and glad you liked the chapter.
Chickenbell: Thank you for the review. Rikki is good at using a katana but he is not as good as Luke. He is better at using a bow and arrow. You will see Rikki's prowess in using bow and arrows in this chapter.
Chapter 3
It was a warm and sticky night. The forest was dark, with fireflies popping in and out of sight. Annabeth placed Percy next to a small stream that flowed over the rocks, then they got out of there.
They ran into the forest, avoiding trees, bushes, and any small gaps that appeared out of nowhere. They ran for about 5 minutes before the group split up, leaving Ritsuki, Annabeth, and a few kids on the main path to the Ares flag.
Annabeth: I've set up Apollo's cabin on the ridge they're most likely going to; this path would be their only option, which was why I had the Hermes cabin set traps and hide to prepare a surprise attack.
Annabeth explained then looked at Ritsuki.
Annabrth: Rikki, I want you to climb above the trees and catch anyone who makes it past the Hermes cabin; After border patrol, you are our last line of defense.
Ritsuki: Understood.
The group splits up with Ritsuki when he sees a tall oak tree and climbs it on the central branch hanging over the battlefield.
I carefully pulled out the arrow that had the charm paper attached to it and stamped it, waiting for anything to move.
Ritsuki didn't have to wait long; I heard a fight between the Hermes cabin and whoever was passing by before two fat Hephaestus boys came charging into the field directly in front of him.
Ritsuki recognized him; one of them is Charles Beckendorf, the big, burly man who is the head of Hephaestus and Nick Phantòs, the newest member of the Hephaestus cabin. Without warning, Ritsuki shot a charmed arrow near Charles' feet, immediately vines slowly climbed up his body and bound his body.
Nick glanced at Charles and ran towards him, only to slip and fall flat on his face as soon as Ritsuki shot an ice arrow near his feet.
Charles: Hey Rikki, I made those arrows so you wouldn't attack me!
Charles shouted at Ritsuki while the boy just rolled his silver eyes.
Ritsuki: You did make the arrows but I had charm paper attached to the arrows, after all you didn't determine that part of the deal. Otherwise, I wouldn't do it at all.
Ritsuki, taking another arrow from my quiver, shot it past Charles, and hit a sneaking camper in the face.
Ritsuki: Don't worry; it's just a boxing glove arrow; the man was just unconscious, not dead... hopefully.
The two Hephaestus children just swallowed hard. Ritsuki is truly invincible at night.
Several minutes passed, and then Ritsuki had knocked out many of the opponents. Ritsuki just sat casually on a tree branch while looking at the night sky until he saw several Shikigami paper dolls running towards him. The Shikigami made gestures for Ritsuki to follow them.
Ritsuki immediately came down from the tree and immediately followed the Shikigami.
He then heard a scream, an excited scream, and saw, Luke running towards him with the red team flag held high and several Shikigami paper dolls following Luke. He was flanked by several Hermes men protecting his retreat and several Apollos behind them, fighting the children of Hephaestus.
Luke: Rikki, I could really use some help here!
He shouted as he ran past Ritsuki who huffed in annoyance at having to do the extra work.
Ritsuki: It's just a hassle.
Ritsuki nocked another arrow and aimed it at a pair of conveniently placed trees that the blue team had just passed before firing.
Before the red team could explore the pair of trees, they were met by hundreds of cables wrapped around them... and the cables had charm paper attached to them.
Ritsuki then made several hand seals and the charm papers exploded but no need to worry, the Hephaestus cabin could handle fire so the explosion wouldn't kill them just make them faint.
Ritsuki: Go.
Ritsuki gathered at a small river as Luke ran across friendly territory. The blue team erupted in cheers and several Shikigami paper dolls started dancing around. They all celebrate except Ritsuki who starts yawning and leans against a tree. The red banner shimmered and turned silver. The boar and spear were replaced by a large caduceus, the symbol of cabin eleven.
Ritsuki then put his index and middle fingers together, then brought his two fingers sideways to his face.
Ritsuki: Release!
The Shikigami then turned back into talisman paper and floated into Ritsuki's hands.
Soon everyone on the blue team was crowding around Luke. Chiron ran out of the forest and blew his conch horn. The game is over. We won.
Luke: Thanks for the help, bro.
Luke said as he pulled Ritsukike in his arms.
Ritsuki: Anytime, Luke. Anytime
Said lazily and reluctantly hugged Luke again.
After hugging Luke Ritsuki then walked over to Annabeth and Percy, who seemed to be having a "heartfelt" conversation.
Percy: You set me up, you put me here because you knew Clarisse would come after me while you
sending Luke to the flank. You already know
Ritsuki: *Inner* That woman's tricks are really scary, Percy.
Ritsuki thought as he looked amusedly at Percy and Annabeth.
Annabeth shrugged like she didn't feel guilty.
Annabeth: I told you. Athena always had a plan.
Percy: A plan to destroy me.
I came as fast as I could. I was about to jump, but...
Annabeth shrugged again.
Annabeth: You don't need help.
That's when Ritsuki realized something, and his blood ran cold.
Ritsuki: Percy... how do you do that?"
Percy: Sword cut, What do you think?
Annabeth caught the spot I was looking at and realized.
Annabeth: No. It was a sword slash. Look at that.
The blood is gone. There was a long white scratch where the big wound had been, and even that scratch had faded. It then turned into a small scar and disappeared.
Percy: I... I don't understand.
Annabeth was thinking hard. The gray-eyed girl looked down, then at Clarisse's broken spear, then she looked at Ritsuki, and Ritsuki knew what she was thinking because they were thinking the same thing.
Annabeth: Get out of the water, Percy.
Percy: What-
Ritsuki: Just do it.
Percy came out of the river and looked tired. He almost fell, but Ritsuki caught him before he hit the ground.
Annabeth: Oh, Styx... This isn't good. I don't want to... I assumed it was Zeus...
Ritsuki: Annabeth, do you know what this means... Thalia doesn't-
Before Ritsuki could finish his sentence, another dog growled; sounds close. A roar sounded in the forest. The campers' cheers instantly died down. Chiron shouted something in Ancient Greek.
Ritsuki: Get ready! My bow!
Annabeth drew her sword. Ritsuki took out an arrow and aimed it in the direction of the howl. On the rocks directly above us was a black dog the size of a rhinoceros with lava red eyes and fangs like daggers. He looked straight at Percy.
Nobody moved except Annabeth, who screamed.
Annabeth: Percy, run.
He tried to step in front of him, but the dog was too fast. He leapt at himself a giant, toothy shadow—and as it hit, Chiron and I fired, and we hit our targets. The dog's neck now grows a bunch of arrows. The monster fell dead at Percy's feet...Chiron ran to our side, bow in hand, his face grim.
Annabeth: Di Immortales!
Ritsuki: Hellhound from the Fields of Punishment?
Ritsuki said as he looked at Annabeth who nodded at him.
Annabeth: They don't... they shouldn't."
Chiron: Someone is calling him. Someone in the camp.
Luke approached, the banner in his hand forgotten, his moment of glory gone. Clarisse shouted.
Clarisse: This is all Percy's fault! Percy called him!
Ritsuki: Shut up, gorilla.
The campers watched as the hellhound's body melted into the shadows, sinking into the ground until it disappeared.
Annabeth: You're hurt. Quick, Percy, get into the water.
Percy: I'm fine.
Annabeth: No, you don't, Chiron, look at this.
Annabeth: Rikki, put him back in the water.
Annabeth told Ritsuki.
Ritsuki happily put Percy back into the water and he stood up straight and the color returned to his face. the whole camp gathered around him. Instantly, Percy looked better. That's when it happened. The campers all watched as poor Percy looked at us and apologized.
Percy: I'm sorry...
Annabeth: Percy...
Annabeth said, pointing.
Annabeth: Um...
Above Percy's head was a hologram of green light, spinning and sparkling. Three-pointed spear: trident.
Annabeth: Your father, This is really not good.
Ritsuki: You must be joking now. おのれ! ギリシャの神々たち!(Onore! Girisha no kamigami-tachi!, Damn you Greek Gods!)
Ritsuki screamed and cursed in Japanese, angry at what he saw. Percy had been here for a week and had already been claimed, but Ritsuki hadn't.
Chiron: It's determined.
Chiron announced. Around Percy, the campers began to kneel; The Ares cabin and I looked at Percy before slowly kneeling down.
Percy: My father?
Percy asked, completely confused.
Chiron: Poseidon, Earthshaker, stormbringer, Father of Horses. Greetings, Perseus Jackson, Son of the God of Sea.

Dear readers English is not my first language. So the grammar may not be the best but I will try my best. I don't own Percy Jackson and the Olympians. This story is just a fanfic and there are some characters made by the author that have nothing to do with the original Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
