A\N: Because I've got so many blank and unfinished Willicia stories on my desktop, I've decided to just curate a new Willicia oneshot book. Some of them will be long, some of them will be short, some of them will be spilt into two or three parts, some of them will be AUs, some of them will be sad, fluffy, romantic but it'll all be Willicia with the other characters thrown in. I've not figured it all out yet, but for right now, enjoy my Angels.

Oneshot 1 title: Tired.

Oneshot 1 summary: Alicia's tired. She's tired of the fighting and just wants it all to stop. What happens when she faints in court? Who will be there for her when it all gets too much for her?

POV: Third person.

Chapter count: 1

She's never felt this tired, this rundown, not even in law school when it was finals or mock trial time. She's tired of fighting, tired of being the good wife, tired of fighting in court for clients when they'll do something else that will require her to fight for them again, tired of worrying about their former firm trying to starve them, tired of worrying about money and who will stab them in the back, tired of not being home every night to cook dinner for her kids, tired of fighting with her former best friend, tired of being a lawyer at times. She's just tired. Of everything.

She walks into Florrick/Agos with a big cup of coffee, a fake smile plastered on her face.

"Alicia, there you are!" Cary says as he catches up with her with an armful of files. She looks at her partner and sees that he's handing her the files.

"Can you proof these before court this afternoon? I would do it myself but Charles Clarke is coming in twenty minutes." Her eyes widen when she hears that name. Charles Clarke, a billionaire of a sports shoe called Power-Up, is a client their former firm, Lockhart/Gardner or simply LG these days, have been trying to acquire for the better part of three years, and somehow her partner has a meeting with him.

"Er sure, but let me cancel Colin Sweeney. I'm too tired to play around with his power games." She notices her partner looking at her, really looking at her with concern in his eyes and written all over his face.

"Alicia, are you okay?" He asks. No. She wants to say. No, I'm not okay, I'm tired of fighting with the man I love, I'm tired and I just want to sleep. I just want to stop feeling tired. But she doesn't say that. Instead she nods her head and folds her arm around the files she's been handed.

"I'm fine, Cary, go get ready for Charles Clarke. It'll be fun to watch Will and Diane's faces when they find out we have the one client they've been trying to get for years." She says before walking to her office.

Cary is worried: his partner's exhausted, he can see the bags underneath her eyes that she's covered with makeup, can see the way she stumbles slightly in the heels, could see the 'no' that wanted to leave her lips when he asked her if she was okay. He wants to call her back and demand she tell him the truth but he has a new client coming in less than ten minutes. I'll speak to her afterwards. He thinks to himself as he walks toward the conference room to wait for the client his old firm has been wanting for three years.

Will Gardner wants to hate his former lover for betraying him and stabbing him in the back, god he really wants to but he can't. It's like she took a knife and stuck it deep into his back and no amount of pulling will get it out.

He's noticed over the last three months that she's looking more and more tired whenever they face off with each other in court. He can see the way her clothes have started to hang off her, the circles underneath her eyes which she covers up with makeup, he can see the weariness in her eyes behind the anger she's showing.

In other words he's concerned about his former lover and friend and in another world he would've asked if she was alright and told her to go home, get something to eat then rest before coming back in in a few days ready to kick ass but in this world, all he can do is watch from the sidelines a she continues to work harder and push herself to her limits, unable to say anything unable to voice his concern for her.

He watches her now from the side of the courtroom and he frowns: she's stumbling in her heels as she walks back to her seat, her eyes looking at him just as she falls to the courtroom floor.

"Leesh!" He's on his feet and running over to her, kneeling at her side just as Cary and Diane do the same.

"Call 911!" Alicia's partner calls out. He places two fingers in her throat, feeling for a pulse and breathing a sigh of relief when it beats steadily underneath his fingertips.

"Damn it, I knew I should've told her to take the day off." Cary mutters to himself. Will ignores the name partner and concentrates on Alicia who is still not moving. He needs to get her awake or at least starting to come to so he tries an old trick they used to wake each other up after long nights in law school.

He runs his free hand through her hair, untangling the knots. "Leesh, it's time to wake up." He says, continuing to run his fingers through her hair. "Come on, Leesh, you've gotta wake up and kick my ass in court." He whispers, Alicia still doesn't stir so he tries the last thing that he knows, hopes, will work. He leans down and presses his lips to hers in a soft kiss.

A groan comes from her and she starts stirring just as the courtroom doors open with two paramedics.

They immediately crowd Alicia and Will can see the fear in barely open eyes. She grabs his hand. "Don't leave me, Will, please." She begs him and he nods.

"I'm not going anywhere, Leesh, I promise." He tells her, holding her hand and keeping her eyes on him.

Alicia sits in a hospital bed with an IV in her hand and a sleeping drug in her system. She can't believe she passed out in court, and she can't believe that she was weak enough that she asked Will not to leave her. She thought he'd say no and walk out of the courtroom, but he didn't: he stayed and held her hand and distracted her from the paramedics, and told them that he was coming in the ambulance with her and stayed until he was stopped by a nurse to fill out paperwork. She let go of his hand and looked into his eyes and was surprised by what she saw written in them.

Go ahead, you'll be fine. Don't worry, I'll be right behind you.

He's always known about her fear of being in the hospital alone and has always been at her side, well until they left for jobs in other States. And now she's back in hospital and he's not left her, even though he hates her and he's filling in paperwork.

The door to her private room opens and Cary enters along with Will, the two men acting cordial and civil. For now, for her sake. They both take seats on either side of her bed.

"We called Eli and he told Peter, and Peter told Eli for us to tell you that he'll keep the kids for an extra day or two, until you're home and rested." Cary says, Will rolls his eyes and mutters something under his breath. "God, Alicia, why didn't you tell me you were exhausted?" Cary asks her, Alicia sighs but doesn't answer because she doesn't have an answer for her partner. So she simply stares at the tv hanging on the wall, not answering their questions.

Cary has left, gone back to the firm to update everyone. Will hasn't left her. She's sleepy thanks to the drugs that the nurse gave her to get some sleep.

"Will, thank you for staying with me." She says just as she falls into a dreamless sleep. Will takes her hand again and brushes his lips against her, like he did hours ago in the courtroom.

"No need to thank me, Leesh, you know I'd never leave you, even if you'd asked me to. Get some sleep, we'll talk tomorrow. I'm not going anywhere." Will says quietly. She smiles before she's transported into the world of sleep and memories.

Three months later:

Will smiles when he sees his wife exiting the elevator with Cary by her side, eating a power bar. Will meets his wife and friend at the conference room door and kisses his wife deeply even though he saw her less than an hour ago at their coffee shop.

"Will, I thought we said no PDA at the offices." His wife says as she breaks the kiss, he just grins and takes the hand that isn't holding the power bar.

"I don't care, Mrs Gardner." He says before kissing her again.

It's been three months since she fainted in court and a lot has happened in three months:

His wife divorced Peter after he failed to show up at the hospital any of the three days she was there. (Will stayed the whole three days)

Will and Alicia apologised and ended the war between their two firms which ended up with them getting together and engaged. (They married in a small outdoor ceremony three days later with only them, a minister, Zach, Grace, Diane, Cary, Finn Polmar, Kalinda and Robyn in attendance, then had a reception at Lockhart/Gardner with both their firms in attendance)

They merged their firms, becoming Lockhart/Gardner, Gardner/Agos and Associates.

They have two offices in two locations: one in Chicago and one in New York City.

He's thankful for his wife fainting in court three months ago because he's married, he, his wife and his two kids are happy, healthy and safe. He's achieved his second lifelong dream; he's running one of the best law firms in the country with his wife by his side.

A\N: This is my first update in weeks (I blame writers block, lack of motivation, life and loneliness) I'm working on multiple Willcia oneshots but until they're published in this book, enjoy this one Angels.
