Who doesn't love the Mandalorian? A stoic, knight in shining armorwhose actions are louder than his words. The character is so incredibly attractive and my thoughts have gotten away from me.Here's a few of those thoughts, day dreams, etc. of Din Djarin and his partner. A rough and tough man made of metal who has a dangerous job, but has such a charming soft side. I love it here lol.
Fun fact: I haven't finished the series. I stopped on Season 2 after they met Ashoka. Yes, I'm behind but who cares you want a good story or not. That being said I don't know the entire story of what happens but I get the gist, Mando gets the kid in the end and they live on Nevarro in a little house in the middle of no where. Sound about right?
So here's a collection of one-shots. Din Djarin, once a member of a separatist cult of Mandalorians, father to a Jedi foundling, and now married expecting a child with a healer named Immani. Life couldn't be sweeter...Or could it.
Before the Sun comes up
Plot: Din Djarin wakes up before the rest of the house to go to work
Rating: PG
Din Djarin woke up to darkness. Being a skilled bounty hunter, he acquired many skills. One being that his eyes adjusted to the dark quicker than most did. He layed on his back as his eyes adjusted. Glancing toward the windows, he could see that the twin sun had yet to rise even with the curtains drawn. It was quiet expect for the sound of those sleeping in the room. To his right, Grogu slept in the baby's crib nearest the wall. Din had built the crib over a month ago and Grogu had been sleeping in it since. Din had tried explaining to him that the crib was meant for the new baby, but Grogu found the bed to be comfortable. He also liked that it was right beside his parents. Most mornings, Grogu would wait for someone to wake up and request to be picked up, by standing up and raising his arms. Other mornings, the crib is empty and Grogu has made his way to the front room where his toys were or into the kitchen where the snacks were.
On his left, your back was turned toward him, pressed up against his side. You are 7 months pregnant and entering a period where a goodnights sleep wasn't happening as often as you would have liked. You hold a long pillow to your chest that tucked beside your growing belly, and a heating blanket that lay atop you to fight the chills you often have.
Din plans to leave home when the first sun begins to rise in the horizon so he decided it was time to get out of the bed. He typically wakes up before you but rarely this early. Today, Cara Dune was scouting a few illegal traders who arrived outside Nevarro and asked if the Mandalorian wanted a piece of the action. Din refused to go off world since you've been pregnant turning down a few offers he received from the Guild. He preferred to stay close to home, and being that Cara needed him and that the job was only a few hours from home, Din took up the offer. He donned each piece of his freshly polished Mandalorian armor. He reached for his gloves on the dresser but stopped, his hand hanging in the air. Looking over his shoulder, he watches as you remain asleep. Your arm resting over your swollen stomach as it rose and fell. Your mouth was slightly parted as you softly breathed. He walked over to your side of the bed, kneeling down on one knee. Mando placed his left hand over your hand that was rested over your stomach and spoke quietly:
"Cabuor ner ade bal wife while Ni cuy'be'chaaj. Keep them morut'yc. Ni tionir ibac ner wifecuyir yaim'la ibac she feels nayc aaray"
"Protect my children and wife while I am away. Keep them safe. I ask that my wife sleeps well, that she is comfortable and that she feels no pain".
He moved his right hand over your head brushing a few locs away from your face, leaning down and kissing the top of your head. He paused a moment, staying there to breathe you in. Cardamom, amber, and peonies. He lowered his head down, pressing his forehead to yours. Deciding that it was time to go, Din lifted himself away from the bed, standing up and walking back to the dresser where his gloves were. He grabbed them as well as his helmet and he was out the door.
So what do y'all think? A little to simple? Not enough? Or just right? Let me know!
