Small time jump, from here on it is now July (with the Fourth of July weekend being where the next couple chapters take place) Dean and Cas have been together for a couple months now and have become fast friends with Charlie, who all get to spend summer together.
Summer for them is July 1st through the end of August. Hopefully this makes sense. I didn't want to jump too far ahead, but it would just be more of the same, Dean and Cas being idiots in love and figuring things out. Dean isn't out to anyone beyond his and Cas' families and Charlie, but he's more affectionate with Cas, especially around Charlie because she's helped him be more comfortable about it.
They haven't had actual sex yet, I'm saving that for when they graduate. But Dean has become a little sexual deviant now that he has all summer with Cas, and Cas is a-okay with that.
So far John hasn't come back to berate Dean for coming out to him, but I have plans for him to make another appearance in a future chapter...

"Why does it have to be so friggin' hot out?" Dean whined wiping the sweat off his brow with the back of his hand. He'd been working on replacing a busted fan belt in a '92 Ford Pick-up. Castiel was leaning against the side of the hood, watching Dean wrestle the new belt into place. "It's summer, the fourth is tomorrow." he sighed.
Dean straightened up from beneath the hood, wiping his hands on the rag tucked into his jumpsuit pocket. "What's your family doing again?" he asked looking over at Cas. "A backyard barbacue, everyone here is invited." Castiel answered just as Bobby came out of the front office.
"Sounds fun, Sam and I usually just go shoot off fireworks until Sheriff Mills tells us to stop." Dean chuckled, smirking at Cas. "Well, we can do that without having the law called on us." Castiel raised a brow at Dean, squinting at him. "We'll be there, Cas." Bobby announced coming up behind Dean, patting him on the shoulder. "I'll go tell Sam." Castiel smiled before running off towards the door leading into the house.
"Cas is a good kid. I'm glad you found someone who makes you happy, Dean." Bobby offered a small smile as Dean turned to face his uncle. "Yeah, I really am." Dean smiled up at his uncle. Before Dean could continue, the backdoor to the garage was flung open as Sam burst through it, followed by a frazzled looking Castiel.
"Cas said we're going to his for the fourth! Are we?" Sam squeaked excitedly rushing over to Dean and Bobby, looking up at them expectantly. "Yeah, Sammy. All of us are going." Dean smiled down at his brother. "Can we spend the night?" Sam pleaded. Dean looked over at Cas, silently seeking help.
"I bought a tent, we're going to sleep in the backyard." Castiel announced, smiling as Sam spun around to look up at him. "Awesome!" Sam grinned up at him. "I'll go pack, we can go after you finish work, Dean." Sam announced as he made to march back into the house.
"Slow your roll, Sammy." Dean called after him, but Sam was already halfway through the door. "I'll go help him, so he doesn't try to pack his entire bedroom." Castiel laughed pressing a kiss to Dean's cheek before running off to catch up to Sam. Dean sighed, shaking his head. "I'm finished with this, can I go clean up, Bobby?" Dean gestured at the Pick-up he was leaning against. Bobby nodded. "Go on."

"Sam! Cas!" Dean called out as he ran upstairs to Sam's bedroom. He had been ecstatic when their uncle offered up one of the many rooms he'd been using as storage to Dean to turn into his own room. He was especially grateful for the space when Cas staying the night had become a regular thing.
"In here!" Castiel responded. Dean appeared in the open doorway to Sam's room, spotting Cas perched on the side of the bed as Sam throw stuff into his backpack. "Don't go crazy, Sammy. It's just for one night." Dean chuckled coming over to stand by Cas on the bed. "I know that." Sam huffed, feigning annoyance.
"Mind helping me pack, Cas?" Dean questioned cupping Cas' cheek, tilting his head to look up at him. Castiel nodded, a blush blooming on his cheeks. He quickly stood from the bed, following Dean out of Sam's room and across the hall into Dean's.
Dean kicked his door shut behind them, tugging Cas into his arms.
"I'm excited to have a whole summer together, babe." Dean murmured pressing kisses along Cas' jaw and down the side of his neck. Castiel squirmed in his arms, wrapping his around Dean's waist. "As am I, sweetheart." Castiel turned his head, tilting to the left to give Dean better access. Dean kissed and nibbled along his exposed collarbone.
"Do you think we should invite Charlie?" Dean asked excitedly, leaning his head back to look at Cas. "Already ahead of you, mom asked her over. She said she's a good influence on us." Castiel chuckled when Dean looked surprised. "Yeah, it's been nice having her around." Dean agreed with a nod.
"She's certainly helped you come out a little more, for which I'm eternally grateful." Castiel leaned in, kissing each corner of Dean's mouth before kissing him fully. Dean held Castiel against him, melting into the kiss as Cas' hands found their way to his head, one resting on the back of his neck and the other in his hair.
"Cas..." Dean sighed into the kiss, his hands coming to rest on Cas' hips as he slipped his fingers underneath the hem of the plain white tee he had decided to wear today. Castiel gasped when Dean's fingers slid up his sides, brushing his thumbs over his nipples.
"You are incorrigible, Dean Winchester." Castiel huffed, breaking the kiss.
"You mispronounced adorable, babe." Dean chuckled moving his hands back to Cas' hips, grabbing and tugging them against his own. "We might not get another chance before sharing a tent with Sammy, do you really wanna pass that up?" Dean inquired tilting his head towards his bedroom door.
Castiel looked at him for a moment, considering the question. "We'll have all summer for that, one night won't kill us." he answered giving Dean a knowing smile. "Fuck, you are absolutely evil. But you're right, we have all summer." Dean chuckled pressing their foreheads together, releasing his grip on Cas.

"Thanks for picking me up, my parents are going out of town for the weekend since I told them I had plans." Charlie smiled heaving herself along with her backpack into the backseat with Sam. "We're happy to have you, Red." Dean grinned up at Charlie in the rear view mirror. "I second that." Castiel added smiling at her in the rear view.
"Always a fun time with my boys." Charlie reached across the backseat and ruffled Sam's unruly hair. "I'm so excited for summer." Charlie squeaked leaning over the back of the front seat between Dean and Castiel. "I'm only gonna warn you once, Red. Sit back." Dean smirked revving Baby.
"Okay, okay." Charlie mock protested settling back into her seat beside Sam. Dean pulled away from the curb and took off down the road as Ramble On flowed from the Impala's speakers. "It's gonna be a great summer, got my boyfriend," Dean announced putting his hand on Cas' thigh. "My baby brother and my best gal pal." he grinned.
The four of them sang along to the music as Dean made his way through the neighborhood to Cas' house. The house came into view as the last chords of the song died out as Dean maneuvered Baby into the driveway behind Gabriel's sports car, a solid black Dodge Challenger. Dean hopped out first, running around to open the passenger door for Cas as Charlie and Sam climbed out of the back.
"Hey Dean-O, glad you and your little bro could join us." Gabriel called as he came down from the front steps, giving Sam a high-five. Dean and Castiel turned around to face Gabriel, Dean threw his arm around Castiel's shoulders as he high-fived Gabriel. "You must be Charlie?" Gabriel inquired turning his attention onto her.
"Oh, that's right. Gabriel had to return to college before Charlie got here. Charlie, this is my older brother Gabriel." Castiel announced gesturing between the two of them. "Pleasure to meet you." Gabriel took a small bow with an unnecessary flourish towards Charlie, who could only giggle. "Nice to finally meet you, Gabriel." Charlie smiled.
