"Miss Dempsey! Lovely to see you, my dear," Albus Dumbledore extended a hand to the woman laying in the heap on the hearthrug of his office.

Jacqueline Dempsey huffed and sat up, brushing dirt off herself, "We really must do something about international travel, you're the smartest wizard alive- why are you still sending people rusty nail portkeys?" The woman accepted Albus' hand and stood up halfway to put her head between her legs, doing her best to stifle a dry heave. "It's murder on the stomache."

"Care for a Peppermint Imp to settle the stomach?"

The woman gingerly accepted the candy and sank into a plush armchair across from the headmaster's desk.

"To what do I owe this pleasure, anyway? Your owl was quite vague."

"Would you care for a drink before we begin?" A silver filigree tray appeared with two coupe glasses, the sides were beginning to perspire and a lemon twist danced along the surface of the drink.

Jackie eyed Albus wearily but accepted the martini. "Are you trying to butter me up?"

"Precisely," Albus' eyes glittered with either mischief or fondness.

The woman sighed and took a sip of her cocktail. She laid her head back and closed her eyes, bracing for impact "Lay it on me."

"I would like to recruit you as a member of the Order of the Phoenix. Lord Voldemort has returned, one of his favored lieutenants is-"

"Wait wait wait, let me guess!" The woman perked up, "one of his favored lieutenants is none other than" half of her martini sloshed to the floor during an exaggerated flourish "Fenrir Greyback."

"You are quite correct," Albus vanished the spill.

"Ugh…damnit." Jackie downed the rest of her drink in one gulp.

Albus and Jackie landed on the front stoop of 12 Grimmauld Place with a "Pop!" and quietly entered the building.

Jackie immediately tripped over the troll leg umbrella stand and let out of very loud gasp and ensuing hiss of pain.

"WHO HAS ENTERED THE HOUSE OF MY FATHER?" a shrill voice bellowed as plush burgundy velvet curtains whipped open. "ANOTHER MUDBLOOD?"

"Lovely to see you, Walburga," Albus murmured as he shut the curtains with a lazy bit of wandless magic.

The two continued down the long dreary hallway into a dark sitting room, a black haired man lay on the couch reading a magazine filled with scantily clad ladies.

"Hello, Sirius," Albus greeted the man, who jumped to refold his reading material and hide it under a throw pillow.

"Dumbledore! Hello!" Sirius called, Jackie stepped out from behind Albus, Sirius grinned at her and sent a hair flip in her direction. Jackie rolled her eyes.

"I've brought you a roommate," Albus gestured at Jackie, who sent Sirius a small wave.

"It's dreary but I guess it'll do," Jackie appraised the room, wiping a finger along a bookcase and frowning when it came up black.

"Welcome to the Black family home," Sirius got up quickly, while he didn't want to seem overeager- he was quite eager to have some company. "Let me give you the grand tour!"

"Oh, I almost forgot," Albus called after the two who were starting up the steps to Jackie's new bedroom, "Fenrir Greyback is in the basement."
